Mocha Chocolatta Ya-Ya

Chocolate, coffee, and cream pretty much sums up this fragrance. It is truly scrumptious, sweet but not loud. It is full bottle worthy for me.

A warm choc, not a dry one. The opening beats the dry down, which melts into a strange vanilla.

I really like this one! So happy, optimistic and warm scent. It smells like a hot chocolate drink.

Although not listed, I'm getting something like a syrupy maraschino cherry or candied orange in the opening along with the chocolate. Imagine biting into one of those chocolate covered cherries... then the coffee comes into play. The chocolate note is done well here, with the coffee providing a realistic mocha scent. Definitely a literal gourmand, that dries down to a comforting shea butter scent. Simple, but underwhelming for the sheer fact that it lacks complexity. I appreciate the fragrance though, it’s hard to produce authentic smelling chocolate; and this does not turn sour, musky, or dusty, like Montale Chocolate Greedy or Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille did on my skin. Easy wear, but not full bottle worthy, like Silken Tent is.

This reminds me of being forced to drink Ovaltine in the morning before going to elementary school. Not good memories nor a good smell. Sour powdered chocolate without enough sugar to redeem it. Scrubber

I've been looking for a good chocolate scent for a while and after sniffing some of the commonly recommended fragrances and not being particularly fond of them I decided to give Alkemia a try and I wasn't disappointed. This is the smell of coffee chocolate liquor or alternatively a Café Mocha with cream. It's luscious and mouth-watering, though not complex. Longevity is surprisingly good, about 6-8 hours.

I received this in a sampler pack, and would not have ordered it on its own. I'm not a big fan of the smell or taste of chocolate, and this opens verrry chocolatey. As it dries down it smells sort of like a combination of buttered popcorn and vomit on me, sour but with a salty warmth behind it. I hate this so much.
