Nocturnes of the Honeysuckle

If a fairy had a signature scent, it would be this; its ethereal, bright, and unapologetically lush. The fragrance is a sun drenched, nectar heavy experience that smells like bottled sun drop and is reminisant of dancing barefoot alongside a flowery riverbank. The honeysuckle is incredibly prominent and photorealistic, presenting as a thick, pollen heavy nectar that leans to a rich, honey-esqe nature; the scent has a shimmering, solar vibe that is very warm and decadent and it carries a unique radiance that perfectly captures the essence of fairy dust. What keeps the sweetness from becoming cloying is a clever integration of earthier, greener elements. A tinge of damp moss sits at the base, providing a necessary weight and realism that grounds the floral notes in a physical garden. This is enhanced by a distinct "dew drop" component: an almost aquatic, airy, dewy freshness that cuts through the heavy honey notes. This moisture mimics the scent of mist on a leaf or a snapped green stem.

Was pleasantly surprised to be hit with a wet green earthy/mossy sweet floral. For reference, this is not something I would buy/wear (this was one of the samples in a recent Alkemia haul) as I don't typically do feminine/pretty/girly perfumes but this one is beautiful because it smells like a wet bush of sweet honeysuckle after it has rained in a mossy forest. If you love pretty floral perfumes but want to stand out/be different because you smell really earthy (like you were literally rolling in that wet flower bush, crushing the petals under your skin and letting the moss press against you) then this is the perfume for you. It does ramp up to be more floral than wet/earthy but at that point it takes on a pleasantly unique note that reminds me of Paris? Maybe Nuxe hair oil? It's lovely in both forms though and the opening provides a beautiful path into a forest before you land into a meadow. As the other sample I received is not on Fragrantica I will add it here. Tempest In A Teacup: White florals and something earthy/green that borders on green tea (or tea with some cut stems nearby). Has this odd sort of creamy 'airy' feeling, like the scent caught on a breeze? Might be ozonic. Pretty but simple. Didn't project far and did not last super long but to be fair it is an extremely humid 'muggy' summer day in Australia and i could have just sweared it off. Again, not the sort of thing I enjoy wearing so not a passionate, long review but hopefully enough for someone. Can see this fitting the vibe for cottagecore girlies and girls who dress in Victorian white lace, linens and cottons.
