NSFW

A sample of this was sent to me with my order. To be frank I am very wary of 'musk' scents. I've sniffed many scents over the years so reasonably experienced. This is a very nice musk. Musk is either clean or dark and dirty. NSFW is a friendly one with a touch of the naughty. Pretty much how ALKEMIA describe it on ETSY. It's warm and beguiling. It has the power to attract. Very much unisex. I get moderate longevity and the sillage is poor to moderate in this warm room. I've got to say that I find it hard to believe there is only musk in this. There is something of the parfum d'empire musc Tonkin about this creation. I think there is the ghost of something floral and resinous. I find this lovely much easier to wear than Musc Tonkin and prefer it.

Strong, strong like, nearly a love. Big fan of musks, and this is probably my 3rd favorite musk of all time (Avon's Soft Musk & Mugler's Over the Musk being my 2nd and 1st choices, respectively). NSFW fits that "just right" year-round musk vibe for me--I don't like them too sterile / laundry-like unless it's the high heat of summer (looking at you, NR Pure Musc), but I don't like them too raunchy / unwashed (any time of the year, really), either (looking at you, Muscs Koublai Khan). Over the Musk is my holy grail musk from a purely scent standpoint, but it has relatively poor longevity. Additionally, it's been discontinued, and the price tag was already steep when it was readily available--it took me ~12 months to hunt down a full bottle from Italy on Ebay. As such, on the dreaded day that my bottle finally runs out, I probably won't be able to replace it, even if I wanted to. Onto my second mention, Avon's Soft Musk--also been discontinued, but relatively easy to find on Ebay, and for a reasonable price (~$20). Vintage is the way to go, especially for this scent. I have two full large bottles, so I don't foresee myself running out for at least 2-3 years. I mention both of the others because on that dreaded day that I run out of the other two, I can see NSFW becoming my go-to musk. It outperforms and smells better (to my nose!) than a dozen other musks, some with much, much higher price tags. I don't foresee a full spray bottle in my near future just yet, but I would definitely order a 5 mL of this in lieu of their layering note, Musc. This is much prettier than the layering note, in my humble opinion.

I really don't understand why this wouldn't be "safe for work," but I guess I operate differently from all you freaks who get turned on by a good musk! (Relax...I'm joking! Sort of.) For a good musk is exactly what this is. It does morph between a slightly clean-smelling, soapy musk and a bit of a spicy musk (cinnamon dusted, perhaps?), but on me, it is not raunchy or debauched in the slightest. Sillage is minimal; it's mostly a skin scent (duh) and wears most of the day. Yeah, I'd totally wear this to work!

I love musky perfumes! Whether it's clean or dirty, I find musk so sensual. This one is in-between. It shifts between a warm, spicy musk with a hint of powder and a soapy laundry musk. Very nice!

Baby powder and play-doh is what this smells like after dry down on my skin. Not something I aspire to. On a bit of cotton, this has some floral but I’m not sure what exactly. Not my kind of musk. I’ll move on.

I am confused about what I am smelling. Fuzzy musk maybe.

Nice straightforward contemporary clean and natural-smellin' skinscent musk with (not a full growl just) a little purr. On paper it's nothing special and a bit plasticky but with skin it warms and turns a bit animalic.

This is very much of the soapy clean musk variety on me.
