This is a very edible patchouli fragrance! The patchouli is front and center, but the other components emphasize aspects of it that are very warm and festive to me. While I love dank and heady patchouli (think: hippie and goth patchouli), this is patchouli presented in another light. I get the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla and honey and am instantly reminded of having chai and spiced baked goods (hellooo honey cakes note!) with friends. The sillage is good and on my skin the staying power is very good, with the dry down lasting quite long. My mother commented on Patchouli Automne when I wore it for the first time and she usually dislikes patchouli, but she reacted very positively to patchouli. This might be a good gateway patchouli for her!

Really beautiful spicy sweet patchouli blend that lasts hours on me and has a stronger throw than a lot of perfume oils. I can't usually wear patchouli but I love this one at certain times. If anyone remembers Woody Sandalwood from The Body Shop, this is by no means a dupe, but is a similar (but sweeter), spicy vibe.

Sampling this and find it quite gourmand. All gingerbread and baking spices blended with patchouli, which is not a bad thing. Perfect for winter and fireplaces and hot drinks and snuggling. I DO smell yummy!

lu.yves.katz Another gateway patchouli for your mother: Alkemia's Patchouli Cacao. I like it very much, even though I don't consider myself a lover of patchouli.
