Persian Tea Room

This one comes as close to it's description as you can get. Persian Tea Room is hands down my favorite scent from Alkemia. It is one that trancends the seasons and evokes such olfactory memories that it is hard pressed to not be in your rotation weekly. This one also starts with a fresh tea leaf. I would not list this as "green", this is black tea and very apparent that it is, which makes it a very wearable scent for day. The heavy spices come through right away, spices you can not specifically decipher....clove, allspice, cardamon...I don't know, I don't care, because it is absolutely perfect. When the fade down brings in the musk, this is a soft pretty perfumed musk, almost sweet. This is not a clean fresh out of the shower musk, but that's not what you are looking for if you purchased this bottle.

Elliot (from Alkemia's own description) My first sample from Alkemia and it's good. Their imagery already won me over, and their description, but now the scent itself has won me over. This has a wonderful opening. Very strong, great projection. Absolutely spice + tea. I love it and think it would make an excellent layering oil. It's dreamy, exotic and romantic. Warm, comforting and just out of reach. Lovely. 8/10

So happy to see that some Alkemia perfumes have been added to the Frangrantica database. Persian Tea room is a very deep and spicy scent but it is not overwhelming. It is definitely a scent that can be worn by men and women with no problem. This is one of my favorite Alkemia scents and great for the fall. I wish I had a better way with words because it is truly one of my favorite perfume oils.

A very delicious, delicately spiced tea fragrance. Quite addictive. The leather and particularly the musk remain low key on me. I dont think anyone could dislike this dreamy fragrance. Both sillage and longevity moderate

Finally ! A tea scent which smells like tea ! Smells like a chai latte it's delish.

Smells like black tea, cloves, and nutmeg with powdery notes. Initially smells a bit like laundry detergent but opens up into a more pleasant smell.

A very dry musky scent with undercurrents of spice and woods. It is just a bit too strong for me and may not work on my skin.

Very one dimensional on its own, needs to be layered with something to work. It's out of balance. I've had the same problem with other tea scents from alkemia, they end up very tea forward and almost bitter.

What an enticing name, persian tea room. It's lovely, a heavy, waxy, gourmand, super cinnamony old school spicy scent. There are some green notes but overpowered by the sweetness of the cinnamon, and maybe some fresh honey. I love alkemia, but I do get a similar scent with all of them that translates to scented candle waxy gourmand. This one feels like there's also a little eucaliptus or something - reminds me of those vietnamese balsams you used to be able to get in small tins to rub under your nose during a cold. I really enjoyed the tester of this! I wouldn't mind having a bottle. It's a heavier scent than what I normally like. It isn't me...but I'd wear it when I'm not normally me!

So sad-- On paper this true-to-life tea scent magically transports me to another place and time. And on my skin it's just cinnamon red hots.
