Sadzi

Sunshine indeed! A very happy orange scent. I must be honest that I hated this scent the first 5 minutes because it reminded me of citrusy cleaning products. Thank goodness this develops away from that territory quickly! Delightful and effervescent. I smell juicy mandarin orange wrapped in lemongrass and sprinkled with key lime juice and bergamot. I also smell a lightly sweet fruity companion in the background which must be the fig tea. Yum. The rest of the notes are blended in well to create this yummy citrus concoction. I wish this lasted for more than 5 hours. Love Love Love!!

This is completely different from the other Alkemia fragrances I have tried. It is blossoming with citrus and smells so joyous. The Irish winter has been long and I have been wearing it to my lift spirits. You just feel like the sunshine in the room when you wear this.

I bought a sample of this in the depths of winter when I knew without question that I needed help raising myself out of depression. It is of course uplifting with great longevity, but on me it wears a bit heavier and more resinous than I expected from the notes. It is wonderfully unisex, especially the resinous quality which makes it less fruity than you may expect. What really lasts is the lemongrass and tea (without any sweet or lactonic fig, sorry). Fortunately for my purposes, I also ordered a sample of another scent called More Light! (not in database) that uses bergamot tea, lemon balm, ginger flower, lime leaf, fresh hay, champagne, grapefruit, and white sandalwood that is lighter and more refreshing overall and more what I was looking for. It is not sweet, either, but is simply lighter, if that makes sense. If you know music, I would say that More Light! is higher pitched than Sadzi. They are both lovely and effective and with sample prices so low, I would encourage you to try both if you are looking for this kind of scent. Either would make a great fresh summer unisex scent.

This one smells like citrus while its in the bottle, but it also has a leafy quality to it; you could even say that it kind of smells like a basket full of ripened and unripened citrus fruits. When I wear it on my skin it starts to turn into something more warm. Honestly kind of like flat coke, or like if you turned that basket full of fruits into a sugary syrup and mixed that into some fruity red tea. I personally like this one.

Very citrusy, very orange, but its not as fresh and effervescent as many citrus-leaning fragrances tend to be. There's a strong, almost bitter, resinous quality to it, without being spicy. A bit autumnal while still being juicy.

To me this is a non-sweet citrus that could be a great unisex frag. On me its dominant top note accord is powder though. (Is that the fig?) I also get the tea accord that another reviewer mentioned. Bergamot is the primary citrus. A little vitamin-c. Sillage is moderate/arms length at first. Dry down is more floral. Still unisex. Soapy. Too powdery for me. Sillage becomes very intimate after 1 hour. Not for me, but if you’re not put off by powdery scents it could be an enjoyable twist on citrus.

I'm always looking for a fragrance that smells citrusy on my skin, which burns off any hint of citrus right away unfortunately. I saw all the citrus notes in this and thought it might be a good bet. But, despite the lovely, bright citrus smell from the bottle, there is sadly no citrus when I apply it. The first thing I smell is a beautiful floriental tea type of scent. Then a faint cinnamon sugar cookie with a light musk scent comes forward. Then a little bit of a dusty smell creeps in (my skin tends to turn fragrances powdery). It progressively turns more and more musky after this point. I like it and it's still a good summer daytime scent on me like it is on others, but it changes into something completely different than citrus on my skin. It's due to my skin chemistry, but I wish this were a bright, happy floral on me.

lemon drop candy with something sparkly green in the background, verges on lemon pledge but not quite there. I think this would be nice in late/spring early summer. or as a winter pick me up maybe. it is sort of addicting, and what i want the citrus opening of other fragrances to be. smells like a citrus candle - something warm and neutral in the bottom - not a sharp citrus. lovely.

This smells like the Emergen-C vitamin drink and gives me the same carbonated feeling. It reminds me of an old, bubbly friend. I wear this when I want to give off a cheerful and friendly vibe.
