Sea Goddess

First review, eh? All righty, ya'll... I received Sea Goddess earlier this spring as a set of three 5 mL amber bottles in the Spring Gift Bags offer. I'd call it a floral aquatic musk, in that order. For the florals, I get more tuberose than rose, and definitely some honeysuckle in there. Not sure what champaca smells like definitively, but there's definitely something "heady" in here, but that could also be the "honeyed skin musk", too. For the aquatic/ozonic accord, it's clean and easy, with nothing offensive to my nose--my past experiences with "seaweed" as a note have been mixed, erring on the side of "nope". The musk is the base/foundation that holds it all together, and it is of the clean/powdery variety, complimenting both the floral and aquatic facets. Having turned this into a spray form at home (more on that in separate writing), longevity is on the longer side of moderate, lasting just under 7 hours on my skin. Projection for most of the wearing errs on the side of intimate, with an arms length reach for less than the first hour. Overall, it's nicely done and an easy summer / spring scent to wear. I can't find anything about it to knock. I like it (especially for the Gift Bag price I got it for), but I'm not enamored with it the same way I am Sea Girl or Baiser du Soleil.

This is one I wear when I am missing the shore. It's a beautiful and evocative scent that is hard to pin down. It's watery but not in the "male cologne " sense. There are floral notes, but it's not floral. I love it and yet it's hard to explain why.
