Sheer Linen

I received a sample with some other purchases from Alkemia and left it to sit for two weeks before writing this review. Out of the bottle, this is immediately a strong, powdery scent that was felt like it was drying out my nose. Semi-realistic linen, like a laundry soap (the white lotuses, nabq berry, and cucurbit melon musk Alkemia lists on their site) on some kind of starched fabric to my nose. The calone and papyrus notes for me read as mildewed sheets combined with the linen scent. Exactly like when someone has forgotten to hang up the laundry for an hour so the fabric smells like the soap you used and something starting to mold. This was stronger when I initially opened the sample, but mellowed out to not be as prominent in the two weeks I let it sit. I'm also sensitive to oceanic/ozonic notes, so this may just be a me issue. On my skin after wearing for around a half hour, this dried down to a sweet, soapy fruity-floral scent on fabric. Smelling it gave me the same feeling as touching a dryer sheet with rough hands, but is very inobtrusive and inoffensive. Definitely for those who like clean scents, and I think this would be a safe pick for an office fragrance.
