Silken Tent

I've been wearing this for over a year now and for about half of that I've layered it with Dossier Ambery Saffron, the Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe. It can actually project VERY strongly for the first hour or two, depending on whether or not you dowse yourself in it like I do. Still, it does fade quickly, leaving a whisper that lasts much longer. I smell a noticeable tinge on my wrist from yesterday, like I just bathed with a really nice soap. The best way I can think to explain the scent is that it is youthfully maternal. Not childlike at all, but no old lady smell either. Like a warm hug from a mom that would for sure play Barbies with you. Super comforting. Kinda like if a mid-day nap with no chores or deadlines had a smell. I don't think it's sexy, more like alluring. There's no perversion to it. But it does beckon... to cuddle, to be listened to. In that sense, it does become quite ethereal, mysterious. There's a Goddess quality that I caught from the beginning. Women love it, it remains my favorite scent ever. But the Ambery Saffron combo is LETHAL. I get constant compliments. Ambery Saffron is very flirty and much more youthful. It's not quite cotton candy, but it's on thin ice. So as someone who doesn't enjoy smelling like dessert, I think these two strike a perfect balance. It's gormaund enough to get those compliments, but Silken Tent keeps the Ambery Saffron grounded and sophisticated.

Gorgeous. Hella beautiful. Unbelievable. "Candied angelica, chrysanthemums, white flowering Nardo, clove flowers, jasmine-scented rice pudding, blonde caramel, infused with golden amber." I bought this sample mostly cause I liked the name and the provided imagery & poetry on the brands website. I can't really put into words how gorgeous this is. I will be getting a bottle very soon. What can I say? This is so comforting, relaxing, slightly sweet and scrumptious. This is the smell of tender cuddles, early or late summer, relaxing in the shade of a hot day, I only wish it was stronger & longer lasting. It's beautiful and I think something you could wear anywhere for any reason. Now I just need to figure out if I should buy the EDP, ultime or spray. Highly recommend. This is an AMAZING gourmand by Alkemia. In my opinion, their BEST perfume. Warm, sensual, creamy, rice-pudding gourmand notes blended with ambery, buttery florals, drying down to a creamy, milky vanilla— but always tantalizing you with the “is it a floral OR is it a gourmand?!” =D well, it’s literally the best of both worlds. I’ve never smelled another perfume like this. I’ve never found another perfume like this. There isn’t another perfume like Silk Tent. I’m not joking. Also- there is no dupe for this. It’s literally one of a kind. I’m absolutely obsessed. Honestly, this smells like something Tom Ford would create. No joke. This perfume has so much depth and complexity that is associated with Tom Ford’s Private Blend creations. I am so enchanted by Sharra Lamoureax’s talent in perfumery. Highly recommend!!!

This is one of the best scents I have ever owned! Every single time I wear it out, someone comments on how wonderful or delicious I smell. Honestly, to me, it really does smell like a huge, folded up, aged silk or satin tent, in the best way. The rice pudding, caramel, and angelica smell the way a silk robe feels on your skin. It smells like nothing else I've ever owned, but it is lush and gorgeous and Alkemia has captured pure magic in a bottle with this scent. I have it in oil form now, though I am considering buying the EDP or ultime version and possibly both, because I just love it so much. It's lovely year round - I don't feel like there's any season it fits better, as it's light enough for summer wear but still warm and comforting for winter. What a masterpiece.

Silken Tent is a beautiful fragrance. One of my favorites from Alkemia. It's sweet, warm and creamy but not cloying at all. I get the amber, caramel and light florals when I first apply it. The rice pudding note is blended beautifully with the caramel, amber and musk. I'm letting my bottle rest for a month or so. I also bought 2 sample packs (a total of 10 samples) but unfortunately most aren't listed in the database for me to review. I will say that so far, the samples that I love are: The Magpie's Rhyme, O Tea!, Calliope, Madam X and Carnival of Illustrious Hearts. Edit/ this has aged so nicely. It's gotten stronger and the performance is great for an oil. It's my most worn amber fragrance. So comforting. It's like being wrapped up in the softest sweater.

I’ve recently had the pleasure of getting myself acquainted with Alkemia, and I can confidently claim this as my favorite perfume from them among my purchases (so far). Such a warm and endearing cashmere that perfectly embodies so many forms of comforting nostalgia. I’ve honestly never had rice pudding— but after smelling this one, it [naively] feels like the most classic version of rice pudding— as though I would be sorely disappointed to eat a rice pudding that doesn’t smell like this. All-in-all, exquisite. The only downside Is the longevity. The oil lasts maybe an hour or so for my nose. That said, if you have a sensitive nose or enjoy office-friendly scents that are still alluring, this one is it.

I'm not a gourmand-head but this one won me over. Like others, I would compare it to Kenzo Amour, because of the creamy sweet rice note they share; yet where Amour chooses majestic flowers, Silken Tent chooses humble flowers and herbs. Ultimately Silken Tent its own creature. I've never smelled anything like it. It's a bit weak in terms of performance however, compared to other Alkemia scents. But hey, I guess that's just the nature of the notes involved. I originally bought the rollerball bottle but I'm thinking of getting a spray bottle now so I can completely douse myself in it to compensate.

Silken Tent opens with a perfectly starchy, decadent rice pudding note, elevated by a rich tinge of vanilla and aromatic cardamom; truly reminiscent of a creamy horchata! As it dries down, it warms into a deeply indulgent, almost musky caramel. Nuances of clove and delicate floral-spice add incredible depth; very simular to sun warmed skin, in a way. It’s a cozy fragrance that is both cuddly and sultry! It reminds me of lounging in a silk robe while sipping warm, spicy chai with my cat snuggled right beside me.... so yk, practically heaven, lol! It's a truly unique and comforting gourmand.

I ignored this for a long time because of how popular it is. I dismissed it as a basic bitch scent. I picked up my sample which has been unused for a long time and I couldn't stop sniffing myself, I had to get myself an ultime bottle 😍 gourmand perfumes can be too much for me, but Silken Tent isn't sickening or overbearing. It's blended perfectly. It's caramel, amber, rice pudding with florals and a green, spicy note in the background. It's soft, creamy and comforting. It reminds me of some sort of amber scented lotion. Both the extrait and ultime have good throw and longevity.

The only other time I've smelled chrysanthemum is in De Profundis and I can actually recognize it here. It's very dusty and green and that's the first thing you smell when it's applied. It's gorgeously addicting! Overall, I was expecting a cloyingly sweet caramel but I got sweet + tart + peppery GRASS in the first stage. It's actually very tangy. Pleasantly surprised since I love green scents and this is an interpretation I haven't smelled before. Later the rice pudding note really shines...lovely. A must try if you're bored with the current perfume offerings these days!

I’ve left a review before but I just love it so much. It’s my second favorite scent, only beaten by Amber by Nemat. I just got the spray and rollerball after running low on my amber bottle. I mostly use this as aromatherapy bc it’s so comforting. Not great sillage but I’m OBSESSED with the smell and have been since 2023 I think. Amber, white musk, warm bed. Literally so warm. It’s perfect for you in your 2000s Tuscan McMansion, lying snuggled up on a beautiful couch, in a cream silk robe, with warm dim lighting, all while watching Practical Magic.

Silken Tent took awhile to grow on me but now it’s one of my go-tos. I can’t even really describe it, just lush, rich gourmand flowers. It is incredibly unique. I literally can’t think of a single perfume it reminds me of. The opening is incredibly clever and almost smells like tobacco to me, even though that isn’t a note. On my skin and to my nose, tuberose and jasmine are at the forefront and the most noticeable. I don’t find the rice note obvious but I think it accentuates the creaminess of the scent. Highly recommended, at least sample it!

this only gets better the longer I let it sit - it really is so, so yummy. It's candied and warm, sultry and silky. It's the color beige. I am not typically a fan of warmer fragrances, as I dislike how it comes across on my skin (and I just find they don't suit me... anyways -) this is just warm enough with the amber and caramel-y notes. I love that it's technically a gourmand without it being obvious what said gourmand is, I like some mystery with my sweeter fragrances. And this has that.

This perfume is so yummy. It's not something I expected to like, but I ended up falling in love. I personally find it comforting and relaxing. It's something that I loveeee to wear in bed, or just when I want to simulate the feeling of a warm hug. The longevity is great too, and I can still smell traces of it on my skin when I wake up in the morning. Like most Alkemia perfumes I've tried, it has low projection and the scent stays close to the skin.

Silken Tent was love at first sniff. The creamy rice pudding note is perfectly balance with light florals, there is a musky earthy quality to Silken Tent that is comforting and feels familiar. There is a nostalgic aspect to it that I can’t quite put my finger on. This is a perfect creamy but fresh scent for everyday and every occasion. This is my signature scent and bring me joy every time I wear it.

this is so beautiful, and honestly hard to describe. it’s so sweet and silky. the caramel and amber notes are prominent. it’s so luxurious. when i smell this it reminds me of an ancient beautiful egyptian princess for some reason. and the ultime is strong, people can smell me from far away when applied to the neck and behind the ears. my favorite scent from alkemia!

This is my comfort scent. I wear it when I want to smell good without thinking too much about how I smell to others. It's all mine. I was originally introduced to rice pudding fragrances via Poesie's Madar, but I prefer Silken Tent because it is more feminine. The caramel sweetens it and the floral backdrop softens it. It's sweet without being overpowering.

Love love love love love and I am totally ordering a spray bottle with my next Alkemia order. Sweet yet luxurious, classy and sophisticated. I don't really smell individual notes much (aside from a hint of caramel maybe?), but to me it smells like fresh silk bed sheets (but no, it doesn't have any detergent notes, it just smells fresh somehow).

I'm seeing this word used over and over: "creamy". Silken Tent is exactly creamy with a tad bit of jasmine sweetness. I love this scent. It's one that I'd imagine wearing to nurse an infant. This is a "nestle yourself by my side!" type of smell. I also agree that JPG La Belle smells like this Silken Tent.

I cannot describe it. It's the kind of scent you want to hug it's warm and comforting. I do not smell any particular note, they must all be blended together like a cake/cookie batter. Later I get more of the florals/botanicals but they do not smell like regular flowers they feel lightly spiced. 10/10.
