Eau De Mahila

Blind buy from a mixed lot of perfumes, EdM was totally unknown to me even though it's been around for a while. There's a version in a red box, another in a cream colored one. I don't know which is older, nor are there any reviews of the red boxed one. The scent is light and vintage floral/powdery. There's supposed to be violet, but I can't find it. Chamomile does appear to give a herbal touch. The opening resembles Cacharel's vintage Noa, with less musk. Mahila has light sillage and good lasting power. It also performs well as a layering fragrance. I experimented with EdM and other fragrances that have even worse sillage, and the result was a new and longer lasting scent. I'm growing rather fond of this poorly known perfume.

Did my best to like this one because of chamomile but it remains one of the very few scents that I dislike. It’s not at all flowery to me, but very herbaceous and green. Sandalwood and rose? Nowhere to be smelled. Chamomile isn’t neither sweet nor dreamy and violet is more violet leaf than flower. Light smell of grass but not what I was looking for considering the ingredients.

My review belongs to Mahila edp with the red box and golden cap. Smells pleasant to my nose, creamy sandalwood, a lil powdery. Reminds me of Adam Levine for her and Estee Lauder Sensous, only Mahila has more vintage character.
