Al Nourus

This smells just like an Escada from the early/mid 2000s when they still had the heart shaped bottles! I never thought about it before I tried this, but the newer Escada summer editions miss a note that the old ones had and have a shampoo-ish base insteead. Hard to describe what it is exactly, I would call it a warmer, almost-but-not-really spicier background hum that gives the scent more weight while still being light. Al Nourus is like a pastiche of several older Escadas and I'm here for it. It opens with super-juicy, sweet but tart mango. Not my favorite fruit note as it can sometimes turn sour on me, but the peach keeps this from happening. I was so surprised how beautifully the ripe peach note unfolds in the drydown and keeps the fragrance fresh and fruity for hours and hours. Of course it's very sweet, but not like candy, more like a cocktail with a lot of fresh fruit juice. No idea why this doesn't last on some people, I sampled the EDP spray and it's one of the most long-lasting purely fruity scents I have ever tried. Not innovative or unique, but really delicious, especially for the price. I would absolutely recommend this over stuff like Flor del Sol or Miami Blossom.

It's a very good quality fruit perfume. I really love it. I don't like all fruity perfumes, in fact some make me quite sick and give me a headache, but this one is terrific! Strong, and long lasting, and after the initial very sweet whoosh, it develops into a lovely powdery peach/mango, with a beautiful rich tang from the lime. I love it, as I do all the Al-Rehabs that I have tried. They're very good. I don't find it too sweet after a little while at all. Lovely.

My skin really seems to bring out the flowers in this one. Straight from the bottle, I only get fruits, but once applied to my skin, the flowers shine through. After a while, I start smelling the citrus and all together it smells amazing. I really love it, no need to layer in my case

I've been on an al-rehab discovery tour lately and let me tell you it's been a fun ride! Tried about 10 different types and it seems it's hard to go terribly wrong with these genious oils. Most of those I've tried thus far have been a joy to wear. Al Nourus is no exception there. It doesn't hurt that I am an avid fruity lover and peach and mango being among my favorite notes, so it kinda goes without saying that I like this. I can't really tell the fruity notes apart though, but I have to say that I find this to very very similar to Escadas Moon sparkle. If I remember correctly that one had notes of berries in it, which this one doesn't but none the less, to my nose they smell almost identical. Another job well done for Al-Rehab. Reccomend!

This is a very nice surprise! This is a tart, juicy fruity cocktail and it indeed has an Escada summer editions vibe. It smells quite similar to Miami blossom to my nose, even if that one features pineapple as the dominant note, and this one has mango instead. But the overall feel is very similar, it's a refreshing concoction that is so sweet'n'sour and "vitamin C infused" (lol), that it makes my mouth water every time I smell it and I almost expect my tongue to tingle. While it's not really my favorite type of perfume, I appreciate it for its uplifting personality and how helpful it can be on a hot summer day when all one wants is to feel fresh and invigorated.

I have a sample (Thanks SailorV!) ----- Finally a melon note that does not make me nauseated! :D This alone makes me smile! Fresh watery fruity fragrance. Not complex nor expensive smelling, but smells good and pleasant, like a really good fruit-smelling body wash gel. The fruity side is not heavy or sweet, more juicy and fresh/bitterish like fruit bark or not fully ripe fruit. I enjoy it as a simple happy twist on the freshly showered smell! Does not last too long, around 3h30 on a hot day. Still nice and enjoyable. May be a good choice for day wear if you wish to enjoy a different fragrance at night!

This is a beautiful tropical fruity scent. In the beginning I smell the lime, then the mango and peach take over. I don’t smell any of the florals or musk. To my nose it’s all fruits and nothing else. It’s fresh, juicy and tropical, perfect for a summer refresher. The downside is that it performs like a fragrance mist. Light projection and very poor longevity but that’s okay for the price. I get about an hour of wear time. I love it but wish it lasted longer.

I have the 50mL EDP. Straight out the bottle I can smell a *bit* of the citrus. On my skin for some reason, the only thing I can smell is the musk and florals. I like the smell and I’ve still gone through quite a bit of the bottle, but it is not the tasty juicy fruity paradise I was hoping it would be on me.

Nice sweet and fruity but sits very close to the skin without a trail. Good for the workplace I suppose. I think I'm going to remove the rollerball, and put it into a spray bottle and use as a body oil. Or put it in my hair when it's wet. UPDATE: I threw it away.

smells like a tart mango to me. not super long-lasting and also a bit on the generic side, but i still like it for casual wear/ right out of the shower.

Review for the oil version. Tempted by reviews and ridiculously low price I decided to give it a try. I love sweet and fruity scents but I'm kinda disappointed with this one. It's sweet and tropical and all that jazz, but it's dull, boring and wears off pretty quickly. It smells like cheap candy. Only mango/peach (or rather general fruity scent tbh) and some sourness from lime going on faintly in the background. Nothing less nothing more. It feels unfinished. Perhaps it would do the job as a base to mix it with other perfumes. I don't hate it though, but I'm not impressed either.

I feel like I’m bad at differentiating fruity notes so take my opinion with a grain of salt but this mango pineapple mix is kinda unremarkable. It does smell like a low grade escada. On me there’s this little undertone of santal 33 (no I’m not joking). I don’t like it but it’s definitely objectively okay. Longevity is poor though, silage too even for an oil.

It starts off mega fruity to the point of being sickly and synthetically sweet, but then quickly fades to hardly anything left. It's like a premature perfume ejaculation. Great for initial olfactory impact but it's all phoney hoo-ha and leaves you with nothing.

Extremely generic, new generation Playboy-like floral-fruity with medium sillage and longevity. It is inoffensive, however, I do not see why anyone would fall for this scent.

A sweet fruity fragrance. Very simple and bland to be honest. I have the rollerball. I fully concur with theuntrainednose below, and also with the main notes above- mango, peach, melon. Also I think a bit of watermelon. Boring on its own, I got tired of it soon. Also it is identical to Distance by Al Rehab, so don't bother getting both. However, it's PERFECT for mixing with other more old-fashioned or manly, extremely pungent, but still with some merit Al-rehab frags. I mixed it 50/50 with Shaikhah rollerball and the mix is amazing. It has removed the top notes of toilet duck from Shaikhah, and sweetened it up a lot, but there is still the beautiful Shaikhah floral die down. It would also be great with Nebras rollerball, which is too strong on its own- extremely potent potpourri fragrance. Al Rehab fragrances can be a bit challenging to be honest. But very worthwhile, due to the price point. I like Sabaya- citrus fruity floral with a slightly oily masculine side, Choco musk- Palmer's cocoa butter, Fantastic, Lovely- both fruity florals, and I love Shadha - smells like roses. Musk al Medina- oud. I don't like- Elena, Full, Bakhour, Roses. And I have to be in the mood for- Soft- lemon meringue pie, Nebras- potpourri.

As with all al rehabs, you gotta be patient with them. Give this on time you won't regret it. I put in the closet the first day I got it after an initial smell which I didn't like. 2nd day I put some on my wrist before doing chores. I could smell the strong beginning for about an hour which smelled like my febreeze air effects bottle I had in the bathroom. I decided to give my dog a bath after I completed my chores. Note I still had it swiped on my wrist. I gave my dog a bath using the left wrist I had swiped it on too. After 2 hours around 6-7pm I began smelling what smelled like an expensive women's perfume every time I moved my wrist. I had totally forgotten I had swiped this stuff on my wrist 2 hrs ago. I wiped counter tops and washed my dog, you'd think all that water including all purpose cleaner and dog shampoo would have washed it away but no. The dry down is amazing seriously and it's pretty impressive I did all that and I can smell it about 7-8 inches away from my nose. Give this one time as you should with all al rehabs you won't regret it maybe.

I totally agree with OrientalFruityGourmand in that this is a great fragrance for layering with others but not wearing solo! I bought this as a fragrance to wear alone but straight away found it was WAY to sweet and generic to do so, such a disappointment. Today I am wearing Jeanne Arthes 'Cobra' and have been struggling with it's slight bitterness that is lovely but more suited to night time wear. I've been recommended other perfumes to layer it with and whilst a handful have been, hmm 'adequate' this mix makes 'Cobra' somewhat of a divinity in my perfume collection, it absolutely makes my senses dance! Try it alone if you love the flat out smell of ripened tropical fruits or try mixing it up. Either way, enjoy what makes you tick :-D

Some non juvenile fruit at the beginning that doesn't last and then very powdery soft floral that I don't smell often and is not appealing to me, that must be the iris. I was hoping that it would be as appealing as the notes seem to appear to me but was sadly disappointing. It's not awful and someone else may enjoy it. It's just not for me.

I thought this was going to a refreshing fruit cocktail but it ended up smelling like dried prunes. Not sure if I just got a bad vial but it's got this stale tang to it - just like a prune. Can't speak to the longevity of it because I already can't wait to get this scrubbed off. 😤
