Aseel

This is probably my favourite inexpensive rose fragrance. I will list the notes, according to their strength, according to my nose: Moss rose (petals and resinous foliage) Pelargonium graveolens (geranium) Green tea Aldehydes Saffron Ambrette (Ambroxan, possibly?🤔) Mint (or possibly a green patchouli?🤔) Cashmeran Mitti/Geosmin (?) A very dry and sheer agar wood accord Cumin This is an elegant fragrance, very classic and tidy white rose, accented by geranium and aldehydes, and boosted by the saffron. There are some "outdoorsy" elements to it. The fragrance is agreedly soapy, but it is also somehow "dirty" - not the gross kind of dirty, but the aroma of rain drenched garden earth. I think it is the interaction between the geosmin and the saffron, causing this impression. Saffron is similar to ozone. One must be careful not to over-apply, as this one is so heavily concentrated. I wear this perfume when I want people to know that I'm well put together, chic, and worldly, yet still somewhat earthy and recherché. This is classic British "Old Money." I could see Princess Diana wearing something like this, had she survived into middle age. This scent requires a certain amount of self-assuredness, to really pull it off.

When I first bought Aseel, I admired it from afar, compared it to a couple of my Montale's, but never dreamed I'd be wearing it every day. Not only that, but I find myself re-applying when I get home. Usually, I refresh my perfume for cocktails and dinner with something different from what I wore during the day. Not with Aseel. I knew it would be my signature scent - at least for now - after wearing it to the office and receiving multiple compliments. Yesterday, I received six more bottles of the roll-on oil. Now, I'm dreaming up all sorts of ways to use Aseel; making an eau de parfum spray, creating a bath oil and adding it to unscented lotion. Just when I had lost my faith in ever having a signature scent again, here comes Aseel and I am obsessed with a perfume once more.

A rosy fragrance that works on men. I dont normally enjoy smelling of roses but Aseel's roses have converted me. These arent sweet roses but more deep and dark. This is a simple unisex fragrance to me, not too sweet or floral for men and I think this would smell great on a woman. The opening is green and medicinal (from the oud) and if you over-apply this is all you will get... I think this is were all the negetive reviews are coming from (just use less people). This evolves into deep red roses as the oud fades into the background. Longevity is great and I find the sillage on this to be a tad better than the other Al Rehab's I own. Scent : 16/20 Longevity : 9/10 Projection : 7/10 Total : 8/10 ... For the rose lovers.

AWESOME!!!!!This is a fantatstic scent. It works perfect on me(i'm male). It's 100% unisex. I agree with some other reviews: this is a fist on the face for the people who spends a lot of money on the so called "niche" scents that sometimes sells products way overpriced . This is a GREAT perfume. It may not be made with 100% high quality oils (i bet that a lot of niche scents do not use only high quality or 100% natural olis...)but the result is amazing. Extremely cheap but extremely good! This is one of the best al rheab scents in my opinion (togheter with shaikah, sultan, kaliji and silver). Buy without hesitation, you won't be disappointed (go for the oil verison not the spray). 5/5!

When Aseel arrived at my home, a bit of the oil had leaked onto the bottle - opening the box, I immediately thought of Black Aoud by Montale. Powerful stuff! Today, I'm wearing Aseel on my skin for the first time, and while it does resemble Black Aoud (much more than Red Aoud), it doesn't seem to contain any patchouli, which makes the formula a bit brighter. I'm enjoying it much more than I expected. If not familiar with Montale or other oud perfumes, you're likely not going to enjoy Aseel. It is very different than the ruity/floral/vanilla perfumes on the market right now. But if you're ready for an aromatic adventure, give this a try.

Well, I've found it. The specific rose note that I've been looking for. When I first applied this, I thought "Oh, it's just like Shaikah" and I was quite disappointed. Not for long. The rose came through for me within minutes, and that note is *exactly* like the roses we had in our garden when I was a kid. It's definitely woody and oudy too. It says "for women" on this site, but I wouldn't mind this scent on a man. I can imagine that it won't work for everyone, I get that, but it very much does work for me. I'm not getting any bleach from this whatsoever, but again, these oils work differently for different people.

This is very close to Red Aoud by Montale....very close...very very close! This one isn't as sweet and the rose here is more green than the one in Montale; however, these are very close. The more I sniff this the more I realize it smells like Montale's Red Aoud...have I mentioned that. This is a rose+saffron+oud (albeit synthetic) with a nice sweetness from the caramel and vanilla, though it just smells sweet not particularly like caramel or vanilla. Overall I will be honest..I will wear this and not pursue Red Aoud any longer. This meets my need in that category. Round of applause for Al Rehab...this is gorgeous.

This stuff is quite potent and you need to apply sparingly. Aseel opens with synthetic rose this for a moment was annoying for me. I normally give good 2 hours for any fragrance before I make up my mind and if still annoying then wash it off. After 30-60 minutes I started getting wafts of Oud, Rose with saffron well balanced and elegant. I am loving this now. Very exotic. This leans towards masculine but can be unisex. Very well done.

My ideal relaxation....a soapy rosey bubble bath with a light smokey vanilla incense burning...not the cheap sort, an expensive well made very smooth incense. I'm not sure why this falls under women. Definitely a unisex perfume. Work safe. A skin scent, very clean but deep at the same time.

I have the spray version not the oil and it is a heavy dose of bright tart rose, almost lemony sourness, with some earthy dirty woodiness. It’s loud and piercing. Zero vanilla, caramel, or sandalwood.

6 ml oil from a reputable uk supplier, gold/metal printed packaging and bottle. Manufacturer ref 1099, batch 196 / 16 Ingredients listed on packaging with my comments (in brackets ) - aplha-isomethyl ionone (floral), citral (citrus scent terpenoid), citronellol (citrusy citronella smell), coumarin (sweet hay smell ), eugenol (clove ), geraniol (waxy rose), hydroxyisohexy 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde (aka LYRAL, penetrates the skin,can be sensitizing, Lily of the Valley smell) , limonene (cycling terpene, lemony smell ), linalool (floral, with a touch of spiciness). warning for IFRA lovers ( are there any on this board?) - aplha-isomethyl ionone is listed not to be used in fragrance by IFRA due to skin sensitization. As you can see from the ingredients list, a rose and citrusy flowery blend. Strong and synthetic on initial application, soapy / air freshner notes. Develops into weak rose and very slight wood. As with many Arabic synthetic oil fragrances, wait 30 minutes for the perfume to open up, apply to pulse points sparingly. This matches the "floral oud blend" profile of many Arabic perfumes I have tried. For western noses, this may be a feminine fragrance. I prefer smoky / resinous / heavy ouds, so this is a miss for me. At this price, I suggest you buy it and draw your own conclusions. As I am looking to expand my olfactory horizons, happy with the purchase. I blend the Al Rehabs I have with smoky Choya Loban oil and am very pleased. Watch out for fakes, read my review for Mokhalat Al Oud Al-Rehab for more info on oud and avoiding fakes. fellow Al Rehab and other oil fragrance lovers! Please post ingredient lists when available, this certainly would have helped me avoid getting this one, as citrus is not my thing right now, and nothing on the existing profile lists citrus.

This is lemon, saffron and mint on my skin. The lemon note is so prominent that it became quite cloying very quickly...so on it's own, it's not something I would wear. In terms of longevity, silage and projection though it is just as fantastic as the other Al Rehab fragrances I own. I decided I'd take a gamble with this and layer it with Nebras and WOW. WOW. WOW!!! The two layered together creates a lemon, rose, mint and sweet floral scent that is to die for. Together, Aseel and Nebras smell like an original concoction of sophistication that you couldn't buy in any top end department store. So, while I can't wear Aseel on it's own - I can happily wear it layered with Nebras as it is truly beautiful in every way...and as I said, VERY original and not something you will smell on anybody else :) As usual, Al Rehab haven't failed to impress. Very grateful that I've become somewhat addicted to this perfume house! UPDATE 29/10/13: Turns out that I can wear this on it's own after all - obviously another perfume that depends on hormones and/or the weather. It's very humid and we're about to be hit with a big Storm in SE QLD, Aus...and Aseel is projecting beautifully. The harsh lemon note isn't harsh at the moment :) It's in the background complimenting Mint, Rose and Oud. Saffron wafts in and out and I'm actually smelling a faint amount of Vanilla Bean and Caramel as well - it's behaving itself the way I didn't think it was able to on my skin and I am *LOVING* it. What a unique, beautiful perfume. Complex, sophisticated, original - this will be my go to scent on days like this.

This is a very, very "green" rose-oudh-aromatic fougere... almost like a marriage of Swiss Arabian's 'Jannat al-Firdaus' ("highest paradise"- a "modern", green-aldehyde-bombed, powerhouse from '74) with 'Mukhallat Malaki" ("royal blend"- classic rose-saffron-oudh). Aseel has a beautiful, cooling character- with liveliness; citrus peels are quite prominent, and then strongly-herbal notes of "green" aldehydes and lavender- quite invigorating! The "rose" is simply geraniol, I believe; the oudh is in staunch monotone and not of the best quality or complexity- yet it works here, and lends a dark serenity; there is also in the base oakmoss and musk. (I'm not getting any vanilla; but a little coumarin, yes) Somehow, everything works together in this composition- and I would classify it as an aromatic fougere with a classic, vintage feel- albeit with a mid-eastern twist! If you take Aseel for what it is- an affordable perfume for everyone- it is rather lovely. I think this would be considered more of a "masculine-targeted" fragrance in the middle east, but either gender could wear it with ease, in my opinion. I say: wear what you like! It's harmoniously-blended, charming, and clean, and shows off the skill of Al-Rehab's noses.

For the first few minutes this DEFINITELY smells like bleach. I used to live in a city with a Clorox factory, and sometimes I'd drive by and get a whiff of bleach being made, and this is very similar. Possibly the sandalwood, since that is one that my skin amps a lot but that I generally do not like? After several minutes, I have a creamy, somewhat chemical-y (but not bleachy!!!) oudh with a tiny bit of sweetness. I am not turned off by the Clorox opening, but the overall impression that I get is "fancy hotel soap" or "really bougie hairspray." Most likely, this could be good for layering, especially with something sweet and floral. Could be good on my husband too, since he's one of those people that adores the scent of bleach. There's a nice vintage scent that's comforting buried under the sharpness too, and if there was a way to pull that out more I'd be delighted.

Aseel is a good example of how you should always try a fragrance at least a few times before deciding to get rid of it. When I tried it the first time, I was not too impressed and it seemed quite masculine. Today I took great care to rub the oil into my palms and then distribute it all over my upper body. The effect was very different! It is a slightly refreshing not too heavy oriental that can definitely pass as unisex. I struggle to detect the notes clearly, but the mint, oud, saffron and vanilla make the most sense to me. I will try EmilyTheStrange's suggestion and layer it with Nebras, see what happens! Update July 14: Aseel has moved up the ladder into my top 10 Al Rehabs. It really comes alive on a hot day. Or perhaps I should say on warm skin. A perfect standalone composition, I don't think I would want to layer Aseel with anything.

this scent is so strong so floral yes i don't like it not my type fragrance to wear but it's ok not that bad to who loves the strong floral fragrance . i don't know what's wrong with me with Al-Rehab fragrance i can't stand the scent it's give me headache immediately after i smell scent like this or like silver or like sultan by Al-Rehab fragrance. the scent is so strong if any one wear this scent and he next to me i will run away immediately from him . this fragrance is number 8 from 10 fragrance i buy from Al-Rehab and i will review the rest of 7 after try them all . but this scent much better than silver and sultan which i reviews before maybe this work with some who love eastern scent and love scent like some of jovan fragrance i'm eastern man and i will never ever love scent like this . 35 mL price : $ 2 USD My opinion: 4/10

This is a great rose oud for the price. Yes, there are nicer ones, but this performs very well as a linear fragrance. Now that I've had it for a year, it's synonymous with the smell of summer evenings. Not nights, but the evenings, for a occasion when I meet my date while the sun is still up wearing nice jeans and a t-shirt, or maybe a little dress and a denim jacket over it. It's a seamless transition into nighttime. Polished but not fussy. I appreciate the absence of prominent white musk, which is usually a deal-breaker for me, especially in budget scents. EDIT: I happen to enjoy the smell of bleach. Doesn't get much cleaner than bleach. I get the same type of bleachy scent from top notes of recent formulas of Eau Sauvage. Pairing this scent with a freshly-laundered white T makes for a nice aesthetic mix.

It is a light floral fragrance (mainly a transparent sort of rose) overlaid with some very disconcerting and very pronounced synthetic oud. I associate oud with heavy, sweet, woody or ambery scents, so the treatment is quite different here. The oud is the first thing you smell, even from the bottle, and it remains a definite presence the entire time the fragrance lasts, even though the rose eventually takes the fore. An acquired taste, as Shwets said. Just outside the borders of my comfort zone, but I wouldn't mind my closet smelling like this, with the scent lingering on my clothes. EDIT: This lasts quite a while. After washing my hands, I could still smell the somewhat lemony rose, but not the oud.

This is a very pleasant rose scent without a doubt... Trust me ladies you will get noticed in a good way if you wear it in summer... The opening is a blast of pleasing rose and Safron with some soapy notes which settles down after some time and you get Rose, caramel and sandalwood vibe... and the base notes are full with safron rose with a hint of oud. There is nothing harsh or over powering in this cologne. Just a very nice rose based day wear summer scenet. Longevity is massive but silage is medium. 7 out of 10 for me... Do consider it as its only 7 bucks for 35ml.

Oh wow, when I first put this on it leant towards a masculine scent on my skin but not too much, more unisex/masculine. It then settled down after the green, soapy, fresh phase into a lovely warm, spicy scent. Very refreshing and clean. It reminds me of Shaikha without that herb in it (either cumin or cardamom,can't remember which one), that my husband and son can't stand, but they really like this one! Its a winner :) Beautiful. To me I smell the woodiness but it is not at all bitter, it is very well blended. Very safe choice I think and good for men and women.

This is for the 6ml oil I love this on hot days. It really sings on warm skin. Warm, clean and green with a load of saffron, hints of oud and flowers. On cool days it's not too interesting and so sharp! Clean and almost sterile floor cleaner. No vanilla or caramel at all. The transformation is like night and day! I find Assel so beautiful in the hot summer sun on warm moist skin. I'll miss it when it starts getting cold. Heat helps Assel bloom.

This fragrance is mentioned in wrong category. A unisex fragrance having middle eastern masculinity in mind. My Travel Companion Nowadays, Cheap yet Neat & Clean... Yes its true that it is More of a pleasant detergent, fabric softener, Soap smell with slight hint of Rose,Saffron and sandalwood notes. Strong at first, top notes, but gets better with time. Longevity: 5/10 SiIIage: 7/10 Gender: Unisex Value for Money: 9/10

I thought it was rather Unisex. The softly medicinal Oudh blends well with everything. Saffron Rose, but it doesn't quite come off as rose... more like a dry white floral. VERY very rich florals, with a sharp almost soapy quality. I'm told it smells very "clean." Almost royal. Very potent, penetrating and long lasting, it stays on you through hot summer days. You can smell it before you even take it out of the box.

Aseel smells like the middle note of Montale rose-oud line of fragrances. Longevity is moderate to long-lasting, Projection is relatively moderate. Haven't tried it on clothes tho. Al Rehab CPOs tend to perform better on clothes, though pay attention to the fabric you're applying on. I'd suggest you go for the darker colored fabrics as to avoid staining.

It's a very well blended rose. It smells mature and intense because of the saffron and oud. I got 5 hours on skin but it doesn't really have a strong projection

The Best way to enjoy the Perfume is ; spray only one to the air up on you, in a closed room, and wait for the cloud to spread on you lightened subtly . Any other technique could be just "Cloying" and cause you "Headache" . It's unique because of having both fresh and heavy notes at the same time. You'll get an Arabic Smoky Oud with Rose soap and a little bit of old cosmetics sort of vibe. It has something in it ,which will make you very nostalgic (Maybe lots of products with rose notes during 70's or 80's ? ) No matter, if it's summer or winter ,The weather must have to be "windy" to wear it. Any women can wear it but for men it'll suite only who's with few words , reserved and introverts . It's a "hate it or love it" so please don't BlindBuy .

aseel reminds me of my catholic grandma's bedroom and the confessional at my catholic former secondary school. a very nostalgic scent but not one i personally enjoy on my skin.

First off, I agree with most of what Castor had reviewed on this frag. I couldn't have said it better myself. Now, onto my little tirade. I purchased a 6ml little roll on bottle of Aseel off Amazon and with shipping it was less than $8. Luckily, it was very inexpensive because I'm just not that fond of it. Now, I have both Black Aoud (adore it) and Red Aoud by Montale and in my honest opinion they smell worlds apart. Montale frags are on a completely different level. Aseel is medicinal, metallic, synthetic and has this weird tang to it. It's very uninspiring, dull, stale even. I don't get 90% of the notes listed for this perfume, but what I do get is a very poor oud, a little citrus and a meager, scant rose. Things that come to my mind about this frag are fabricated, dull, lifeless, very very synethic and bitter. I gave this quite a few wearings to see if maybe, just maybe, something magical would happen ,the clouds would part and the high heavens would sing. Nothing. Nada. No cigar. So alas, after my exhausted attempts to try and make this work for me, it just doesn't. Fortunately it's extremely inexpensive so if interested this certainly won't break the bank. As far as the projection, for about an hour this projects very well (I will give it that.) I rolled on both my wrists very modestly and it was potent. Lasting power - called it quits about 3 hours in. Another thing that I didn't like about this frag was the life and how it played out. It went from loud to fizzled out into oblivion in less than 3 hours. Overall, as I stated it's very affordable so if desired give it a try and see how YOU feel about it. :)

I was intrigued by the reviews of this perfume and so decided to buy it. Aseel to me starts off as a unique and very intriguing scent, on my skin there is the green rose with the caramel and saffron in the background...there is also a hint of citrus somewhere. It's a pretty delicious scent to begin with, none of that medicinal oudh to be found anywhere! It reminds me of Touch Me by Nabeel where Touch Me has more citrus in the background which I like. Sadly after around 15 minutes it becomes sickly sweet, so sweet that it is hard to bare. It would be great if there was less sweetness in it-but then body chemistry. It still does smell nice, however, the sweetness at the forefront ruins it all...if only the sweetness on my skin was toned down, I'd appreciate the scent more. I tried to layer it with Al-Haramain Firdous, as to me Firdous is a very green scent with citronella at the forefront, even then the sweetness was over powering. Sadly this over-sweet scent is not for me :( I think I will see if I can get a more 'masculine' al-rehab such as silver and layer it with that.

I am puzzled as to what happened! The notes listed are amongst my favorites but something has gone wrong! I do detect the rose and saffron but barely any oud. It could just be the balance of the notes but clearly my chemistry has done something strange with this one. Its a shame as nearly all the Al-Rehabs have smelt wonderful if a little chemically. I will give it to a male friend as I think it will really suit him.

On me, a strong accord of old fashioned, mildly-rose-scented Soap (strong soap at that). Not something I like and made me want to sneeze whenever my hand got too close to my nose! I will try a few of the suggestions for layering this, and hope they work, but I'm not sure that the very sharp 'sneeze-making' note can be cancelled out.

Smells exactly like the bar soap my grandfather used. It's a little woody, a lot floral, and very masculine to me. It smells very clean.

Al Rehab website clearly lists this as a fragrance for men, the box design and smell back this up in my opinion. It is at most unisex.

Well thankfully I read reviews before I try something. Fortunately several reviews caution the potential future user to go very lightly with these, or at least this one. That means use just a very little. I bought the oil roll on. This was the first one I tried of the group I bought. So I went very light and just on the back of my left hand. This is very rose-y. It is also very strong at the beginning. That is another thing people mentioned - let the dang thing take time to work it's magic. This thing turned beautiful on me. I am a man and thought this smelled very very good. It took a little bit to get there, but it got there. I told my girlfriend that I need to smell this on her. It could be even better on her! Others have said that this smells so sharp or too strong. I think these are designed to smell the WAFT rather than put your nose on it and sniff your wrist, etc. Sniffing it straight on it comes off as a little too strong. But the WAFT is super good. Someone prior mentioned cuddly. Yes, definitely! Cuddly. Whether on me or my girl. It's clear that perfumes smell different on different people. I'm one of the lucky ones that when using THE RIGHT AMOUNT (very little), this fragrance smells wow on me. Hoping the same for my girlfriend as I feel it is a little feminine, but man it smells good. I concur with the good reviews of predominant rose. There are several good reviews that describe it way better than I can. But on me after it has a chance to settle in, the WAFT smells like a buttery pink rose with a slight bit of sweet. I hope this smells the same on my girlfriend, but I will absolutely wear it too! EDIT: It is the next evening. Earlier today I wore the White Full oil on the back of both hands. That came on strong as well out of the get go. The White Full was predominantly gone after three hours and completely gone after 3.5 hours. What's crazy is when I put my nose to the back of my left hand I can still smell Aseel. It's not projecting anywhere, but I can smell with nose to skin. On another note I am trying the Dakar (Drakkar Noir dupe) that I sprayed two sprays of at about 2pm. It smells great and is still going .

Sam Idh: Oh my god, I sooooo agree with what you said in your review!!! Some fragrance lovers become very nasty and aggressive if anyone dare compare their favourite high end perfumes to cheaper ones, or if, god forbid, anyone should have the nerve to have a different opinion about their favoured perfumes and write anything even minimally negative about those fragrances! I had a terrible encounter with Opium when I made the mistake of testing it years ago and it was so overwhelming and repugnant to me that it literally made me feel sick to my stomach! When I wrote a review about it on here it got totally ballooned down (and I had noticed, of course, that there were many fervently positive / rabid reviews about Opium!) and I also received a bizarrely nasty and aggressive email from one Fragrantican who berated me for my (honest) review, telling me that she thought I was a terrible person for saying 'bad' things about Opium, blah blah blah .... It was bizarre and totally crazy!! The people who are obsessed with trying to impress other people by buying overpriced, over-hyped products are often just small-minded snobs. They often seem to believe (wrongly!) that they are superior to other people and that they have the right to dominate others. Unfortunately for them, their delusional attitudes and egotism only shows them up and makes them look very foolish and obnoxious! Anyway, I've ordered a perfume oil rollerball of Aseel and I can't wait to see for myself if it smells as good as it sounds - and also to see if it compares to some high end perfumes (and I have several Al Rehab perfume oils now and some, i.e. Choco Musk, do rival overpriced, high end perfumes!).

First of all the Al Rehab website lists this fragrance is for men. So the title here on fragrantica is either a mistake or done purposely. Keep that in mind ladies if you buy this and find it too masculine like my wife did. After all this fragrance was intended for men. However, to my nose, I personally find it feminine while my Middle Eastern friends find it very masculine. So keep that in mind. Now, on to my review... Aseel has hints of a detergent clean scent that is rather pleasent.. but it gets overwhelmed by a chemical medicine smell that just ruins it for me. I suppose it's the synthetic oud used in this fragrance and many other perfumes from this house. Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of Al rehab fragrances, in particular Dakkar, Lord, Superman, Soft, Inspiration, Al Nouros, Cobra, Oudy, Green Tea and several others. But Aseel is just not for me or my wife. For men, there are much better more masculine alternatives from the Al rehab house. There are also better more feminine perfumes for the ladies. P.S. The positive reviews here got me so baffled I bought another oil roll-on because I thought I've might have got a bad batch or a fake? Well the latest order was the same chemical bleach-like vibe. So I need to pass on this. Gave it away.

I don't know what you're smelling if you can detect a bleach like smell. I've just opened a bottle of Mancera's Wild Rose Aoud and they smell very alike. What I get is a soapy, bright, transparent rose fragrance. I get no Oud in this whatsoever. I don't detect any Aoud in the Wild Rose Aoud either, if anything, this Al Rehab smells a little more masculine. I get very good performance out of this Al Rehab Oil. I put a decent amount behind each ear, give it 10-15 mins to settle down and stick a little spritz of the spray on over the top 30 minutes before I leave the house and it works a treat. Too much snobbery going in the fragrance community these days with the battle between niche and designer, it never used to be like this back in the day. A pity really. Designer or Niche fragrance, if it smells bad it smells bad, if it's nice then it's nice. This oil doesn't smell like bleach. That statement is utterly ridiculous. This however is very heavy on the rose. Don't buy this if your expecting a rose oud combo, you'll end up disappointed. For what little money it is though, it's a crackling little rose based fragrance.

What IS this?! If this is oud, I don't like oud. If this is an acquired taste, I don't want to acquire it. If you must have a refined nose to appreciate this, then I would rather be ignorant and unrefined. I can actually see a man wearing this. It might blend with thick testosterone sweat. For a woman, this is a no-go. UPDATE: I kept this around because I kept thinking I could blend it, or use it as a base - and I was right. Obviously it doesn't blend with everything, but when it works, it's like magic. I applied a layer of Aseel, and over that, I applied Dalal. It smells expensive, sophisticated, and amazing. Now that I've blended Aseel, I know that I've smelled oud before in many fragrances. As a standalone fragrance, it's much too intense for me, and too masculine. I've also tried it lightly layered then sprayed on a few EDPs... when it worked, it was amazing. If you can't wear this as a standalone fragrance, try blending and layering. Keep in mind, this is an extremely loud and potent fragrance... a tiny, tiny, and I mean very tiny bit will suffice.

Thumbs up to Alex.n for showing us the ingredients and their respective smell, well done. As Alex.n mentioned it's rosy woody with bit of citrus. The citrus is more pronounced in the top and wood is more with bottom notes, although all these elements can be found in all notes but to variable degrees. I like it and smells much more expensive than it is, but I like it even more when layered, see below. For you Alex.n since you prefer more masculine oudy perfumes, try to layer this with some oud oil, pick a natural one that doesn't cost an arm and leg (Al haramain oud Cambodi for example), apply the oud first then aseel on top, and ENJOY, not only it gives a very complex smell, it's more masculine and last much longer when you do that. Another tip, I found a similar oil from the house of Anfar called "gold afgano " , very similar to aseel but has more citrus in the top and more wood at the base, it's even better in my opinion than aseel. Not sure the similarity in names between it and black afgano though, it is just to confuse people.

This smells quite a lot like window cleaner or car wash liquid but i weirdly love it. It’s incredibly clean i dont get any barnyard in the oud, dont really smell much vanilla caramel either but thats j what i wanted. I very specifically smell an elevated window cleaner lol but its like if you could pick apart the notes of window cleaner more, it kinda has an old man smell underneath which I like cus i think it takes away from the cleaner vibe. The mint over woodsiness is definitely a big contributor to the chemical cleaner smell but its also one of my fav notes in this it cuts through but it doesnt sit in the front it sits behind the rose. Once it sits more the rose becomes the tiniest bit sweeter and more prominent. When the scent dries it smells like a green clean laundry kinda scent.

This is carrying on from my review on this from 2018. I stand by what I said about this but will explain myself more clearly. This scent is all about the rose but it's not a jammy rose, it's a watery transparent rose..like the whole rose, including the green stem. Very light and airy and not really sweet and heavy like some are. This for what it costs is a steal and shines in the summer. I still use this 5 years on from my last review and serves a purpose. If you're a man and not sure on rose as a note, I would suggest just buying this and see how you get on with it. I haven't come across this type of watery, green rose in many fragrances to be honest. This is brilliant for the little money it costs.

Aseel is a highly wearable oud fragrance. The rose isn’t strong or gothic. It’s more like rose water. The oud grounds the rose and provides some gravitas. Saffron kind of lingers in the background, and I really don’t get much else. It has good sillage, not too strong, but incredibly long lasting. It’s pretty linear. Smells more expensive than the few bucks I paid for it. Edit: when this completely dries down and sits for a few hours, it reminds me so much of an Hermes fragrance my uncle wore in the 90s. Since I was a kid, I can’t remember what it was. Regardless, Aseel feels very unisex to me.

I thought I bought Aseel from Al Rehab. Bottle of oil looks for the sight exactly the same. But, oh what a shame, it wasn't Al Rehab, but Al Ahbab. Bottle looks the same (perfume oil 3ml)package looks the same, and you realy have to look (and i'm almost 49, the letters on the package are very small, without glasses I don't see the difference...) very good to see the difference. So I bought the wrong one. This is the FAKE Aseel of Al Rehab. And I don't like it at all. It smells sour and not very attractive .So beware...Real Al Rehab has the small crown.

A lot of people are mentioning that it's very soapy. I get that, but what I'm getting even stronger is a fabric softener (the sheets, not the liquid) from Aseel. Not necessarily a bad thing, it's just not for me. Maybe it will keep the bugs away when I'm camping? Who knows! Edit, there is something strong and herbal going here for me. Almost medicinal, it must be the Oud. I will give it another go, but like some others have stated I will use just a dab. Aseel is no joke, it is powerful juice! But is it for me? Maybe it will shine in cooler temps?

@ Bodda89 I agree with your opinions.There are some negative people here (like everywhere else! ) who would want to bend and contort real opinions and true information regarding perfumes, unless it agreed with their fanatic fancy. The baloons /votes etc can be sabotaged by a group of few fanatics but not the reviews! This is a very rose based fragrance. If you don't like roses than don't even bother looking at this because it's a big part of this fragrance. I don't see the similarity between Red Aoud and this. Red Aoud is sweet and almost like a gourmand, this to me is roses and very little oud. I have a hard time wearing this one because it's so floral. Of course like most al-rehab scents, the projection and longevity are beast mode. If you like the scent kudos to you but this is a no for me.

Y'all saved my two-year old bottle from extinction! I tried it once. I hated the top notes,and never tried it again. I thought about tossing it. THWN, I read your reviews! I gave it one more chance. I got NO florals, NO caramel,NO mint> But, I got this divine, comfortable, SEXY dry down. I can't even describe it, but it is SO compelling! It's dry and wood, but sort of insinuates into one's personal scent like a good skin muck does. Definitely unisex, in the best of ways.

I smell of roses, and probably like an old ponce, but I don't care. I like smelling of soapy roses and woods. On my skin, it's more masculine than feminine. Closest thing I have is vintage Guerlain, Habit Rouge EDT, but it's not a fair comparison. I don't normally go for unisex, and this is listed here as for women, but it appeals to my eccentric side. For me, this is artistic and interesting stuff

The initial metallic medicinal twang fades soon enough becoming a sweet and clean rose scent (which is the note that escapes the packaging before I opened it.) The scent wears on to produce a slightly powdery and spicy depth that hangs close to skin. Unfortunately, I'm very underwhelmed, the composition reminds me of cheap off-the-shelf bar soap.

I was lucky to get a whiff of this fragrance in a mosque. I inquired and was shocked to learn that it was a fragrance by Rehab! The answer I was expecting was Montale or the likes... I ordered some frags immediately Fine smooth Oudh with powdery/flowery notes hovering about the oudh note. Projection is 2-3 feet and stays strong for 4-6 hours
