Black Horse

Review for the oil-based fragrance: This is a citrus fragrance indeed, but do not be fooled, it is not a bitter citrus summer fragrance. It's got very sweet tangerine/orange notes, combined with the woody and patchouli notes; It's an olfactory dream suitable for both daytime & nighttime. I think it's perfect for everyday wear, given the fact that it's unique, but not overwhelming. Definitively a signature scent. I can't put my finger to it as to which fragrance this is inspired from, it may be an inspiration of a Layton fragrance given the horse logo.

Attar/Oil Spicy, sweet citrus. Projects pleasantly, steadily from my skin for hours and hours. Hard to conceive that a dry-down of this quality comes from a fragrance sold at near-giveaway prices. Tremendous value, to say the least. 31 August 2025 Across this wear, the scent has been registering as leather. Who knew oranges and leather would make such an interesting combo?

Smells great, especially for the price, but it’s nearly identical to Al Fursan (but even cheaper). Again, not a bad thing. Smells great. Not sure of these notes - it basically smells like spiced pineapple.

Oil. AR scents need a few days after first use, to reveal themselves. This is first use: Opens bold and syrupy like Parfums De Marly Layton, sniffing close up to wrist. Kind of artificial but immersive and addicting. Then after 30 seconds.. still close up, something weird is forming... Bloody Hell. Saffron, onions and burnt matches. Have to let this one sit a few days, then get back to you.
