Fragrance -Champion Black Al-Rehab Bottle(roll-on) from - 2016 Mister reminds me of a walking on a path through a early spring forest just before sunset.It is a woody,earthy,musky and a little bit floral scent,with a deep and sophisticated touch of tobacco leaf in the drydown."Quality/Cost Ratio is extremely high.It has similarities to Green Irish Tweed by Creed and Cool Water by Davidoff,there is no question about it.Nice fragrance,unbelievable price. Longevity - 10/10(10+hours) Silage/Projection - 7/10(moderate to heavy projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours) Weather - For more or less any time of year.Best in spring and summer.I personally wouldn't wear this on a really cold winter days. Versatility - 9/10 Age - 18+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 7,5/10 Main notes according to me - moss,musk,cedar,floral notes,patchouli. The drydown is nice and i get some woodiness,musk and tobacco leaf. Emotions - early spring forest,fresh,elegant,clean,relax, pleasant,timeless. Occasion -For more or less any ocasion.

I have the roll on oil. Do not judge this upon first sniff when applied to the skin. It needs about 5 minutes to dry down and settle. The comparison to Cool Water and Aspen is correct. More like CW. I don't have GIT so I can't compare them. If you like CW and Aspen you'll definitely like Champion Black. But again you must let it dry before judgment because the top notes are frankly horrible like a chemical mixture or something. By all means, do not smell the roller ball directly. That's what I did and I almost threw the fragrance away. After I let it dry it became one of my spring time favorites. It's strange because although I liked CW, it was never in my top favorites. But something about Champion that is so intoxicating. It's Cool Water but greener. And that's what I assumed GIT would be. So maybe it is a GIT clone, or close clone?

This is a deep one. At first the scent is ok at best, nothing original; woodsy, aftershavey, unexciting. Be patient. Give it an hour or so, and then let the curiosity commence. You get the oakmoss and musky patchouli, but something else. That something is held together by a dusty ylang ylang. I couldn't place it at first but trawling through these reviews I think I may have it - Play-Doh. Ok, if it's not Play-Doh it's something similar. There's something warm and mischievous that brings back memories of childhood play. Quite bizarre. Longevity is good at about 12 hours. Sillage, moderate - but when people do smell it they want to smell it some more. A most intriguing fragrance.

I own both the oil and the EDP spray versions of Black Champion. The spray is a tad sweeter. The oil lasts longer and is almost identical to a Lattafa fragrance called Raghba for men limited edition, which is GIT clone that I also own. So I use the oil to layer with the Raghba for men fragrance. Can't afford GIT so I gotta get creative ;) Overall, Black Champion is a good fresh scent that works almost all year round. Synthetic, but I don't really care. Good longevity and very affordable. Roll on oil costs 2 dollars for 6ml and the EDP spray costs around 9 dollars for 50ml where I live. Hell of a bargain if you ask me.

When I first tried this, it smelt abrasive and jaggy. I have never tried GIT and instantly fell out with this DNA. Some months later, the abrasiveness is gone and it's nice and smooth, quite a crowd pleaser. Phenomenal value for this roll on. I love it! I absolutely hated the initial smell though, that makes me want to buy it and let it macerate but I don't know if that needs doing for oils too. Either way, the scent has changed for the better. Very masculine scent. Good for even warmer days in winter but best for spring I reckon.

I've tried Blanc, Silver, Al-fares and Dakar from Al-rehab. All of them are good, but Champion black is the scent that I like most. Tips, try layering them and you'll get your own signature scent. I love to layer Al-fares with Silver or Blanc.

Straight up best GIT dupe on the market. I like adventure knight for its powderyness, but this is GIT for pennies on the dollar and it actually performs well. 8.25/10

I prefer it over Cool Water... And the price is great!

I have the roll-on oil of Champion Black. It smells very much like a more simple, more mossy, less fresh imitation of Green Irish Tweed, and somewhat similar to Aspen. It smells only vaguely like Cool Water. It does not share the fresh aquatic nature of Cool Water. The performance is excellent, beyond that of Cool Water and Aspen. If you wear it in the summer, use it very sparingly. As far as quality goes, I wanted to say it was comparable to Aspen in that regard, but now that I put it up to my nose again, I have to admit it would be a bit difficult to distinguish from GIT in a blind test IF not smelled immediately before or after GIT. Therefore, it's a great value. Also, unlike GIT, it is linear, so in that way it actually beats GIT, as crazy as that sounds, at least on my skin. For me, GIT dries down after four or five hours to a weak, less impressive scent that is similar to the Cool Water drydown. Update: I'm going to let this one go. When I'm real with myself, the quality just isn't there. If you smell it carefully, it does come across as a bit cheap.

I have around 10 different Al Rehab roll ons which i consider beeing the best ones of the house. I have GIT,Cool water, Très nuit, and Rasasi egra. -Champion black: Top notes are like GIT, in a darker way as it is oil, with of course an important inferior quality. 6/10 -Middle notes are a good quality GIT, i mean, literally. 8/10 -Base notes are a mix of GIT and Cool water base notes, i definitely detect some marine notes. This is very good. 8/10 Longevity is very good, around 10 hours. Sillage is i would say average. Sum up: a very interesting cheap fragrance, if you can wait for the mediocre top notes to settle into the middle notes that are a good quality clone of GIT. The base notes are a perfect mix between the GIT and CW base notes. 7.5/10, highly recommended, 100% hit from Al Rehab.

I did a deep dive on this brand a few years ago and bought several of the 6ml roll-on vials to try, thinking I had found a gold-mine of inexpensive dupes, but more than a few of them were questionable at best, but this fragrance was one of the few standouts that was worth far more than the asking price. To compare this to Cool Water isn't fair, because this is fresher than cool water, but without the aquatic elements or the obnoxious mint note that Cool Water is known for... which makes this more of a dupe of Green Irish Tweed than anything. This fragrance is certainly a step above Coty's "Aspen," itself a questionable dupe of GIT. I'm not a fan of roll-on fragrances, so I'll be keeping an eye out for a spray-on version.

Much closer to GIT and GIT clones than Cool Water, Animale, Fahrenheit or any other fragrance listed here, though the drydown is considerably earthier than anything else in that family. It actually smells pretty close to Tres Nuit in the opening though, and given the choice between the two, I'd definitely take this one because the longevity is excellent (roll-on oil version). This is the somewhat darker forest to GIT's grassy field. Really nice stuff.

Lasts...not sure really, I've never noticed it ever going away, it just stays. Projection's about an elbow's length. Smells very clean & musky. I clearly got the ylang-ylang as listed from the notes, the musk, and oakmoss, but I didn't get the tobacco. At times it'll smell like coconut because of the musk. Musk is thick during the first 2 hours and can be nauseating if you breathe it too much, so apply away from your face. It's a clone of cool water.

I'd describe it as a business-perfume (if such a thing exists). Not a super-outstanding killer scent, but could work on office clerks and even on mid-level employees. Or at least that's what my imagination made up about this scent on first smell. Long lasting, doesn't changes much. Wood, patchouli and very slight sweety notes are definitely there, I'm not sure about the rest.

I just got this today and it's a very cheap and synthetic copy of Green Irish Tweed by Creed. What's funny is that this stuff, which cost me $3.20, is better than Cool Water still! This will hold me over until I get a bottle of GIT but until then this is pretty good stuff for the price.

A lot like Davidoff Cool Water but heavier on the skin, muskier, mossier and generally greener. Less a fragrance of the ocean, more the fragrance of the woodland surrounding a small English lake. It's very good for next to nothing!

I haven't sniffed CW or GIT, so I can't compare them. In my opinion, it smells clean enough and a bit sweety without being too soapy because of musk and tobacco. I like it.

Cool Water clone with low sillage and 8 hours of longevity. Nice considering the prices of Al Rehab as this is my second from the house.

First off for the money spent it's good value, I can't compare it to GIT as I've never smelt it, but I have smelt Cool water a few times it's smells similar after drydown but definetly not an exact clone of cool water,seems a bit greener and less aquatic, I find it can be a bit floral on dry down and the Woody's notes are quite subtle with moss shining over the top quite a nice scent I have the roll on oil and definetly opens up and starts projecting more as it drys down so if you have the oil go easy to start with, im not a hundred percent sure of longetivity just yet, but seems like it last about 3-4 hours with projection then settle down to a skin scent, on the opening it strongly reminds me of the Avon catalogues that had the Scratch N' sniff Dots back in late nineties earlier naughties, maybe I smelt a Cool water or GIT sniffing Dot back as child brought back some nostalgic memories sitting on our yellow sharpie carpet in our first rental house LOL will be wearing it for the nostalgia, one downside I've found with some al rehab scent is they can trigger headaches not sure if it's because when you do get a whiff it can be overwhelming or what the deal is.

I have the 6ml oil, and as expected from Al Rehab, it smells pretty good. It gives off a deep green vibe—rich, earthy, and slightly woody, like dense foliage after rain or the scent of crushed leaves in a forest. There’s a fresh, almost herbal sharpness to it, but it’s smooth and well-balanced. It leans toward a Western-style scent—clean, classic, and inoffensive. Honestly, I like it. The downside? It’s weak and fades fast. After three hours, it’s completely gone. Same story with Dakar, Al Fares, Avenue, Khaliji, and Sultan from this house, which is a dealbreaker for me since I enjoy these scents. I love Cool Water, it reminds me of a dear uncle, and I would say that this (roll on version) has 90% of the Cool Water DNA in it. Personally, I like it better than CW because it's greener and more modern to my nose. It's like walking through moist woods and a tinge of aquatic breeze wafting over me. The opening smells natural, woody, green, and aquatic. The drydown smells aquatic, woody, and of tobacco. Projection is great and the people around me do not find it overpowering. The scent projects around 5 hours on my skin. I rate this highly with an 8 because the scent is so versatile and timeless. I can wear it for office, on a casual day, for a vacation, this could be a signature scent.

I was on the verge of purchasing a GIT clone, Al haramain Knight (55€) to be precise and came across an Islamic shop found this for 2€ - the opening is less fresh and this is more sweet.

I wore this again today after not wearing for at least 6 months, I definrtly enjoy this more than the original cool water

I never tried GIT before, But this doesn't smell like cool water it's like Rasasi Hawas without bubble gum.

EDIT: This is a synthetic mess. It smells mostly like Cool Water but falls apart on the drydown. I really have to downgrade this from a like to dislike. Really dislike. Aspen is a better version of the same smell.

Davidoff Coolwater cheap synthetic & softer version, i'd prefer coolwater which is more fresh and spicier, sorry this is just meh..✌🏻 Rate 4/10 ✨

I adore GIT and it's been my signature scent for 18 years or so, so I got this purely out of curiosity, as it had been likened to GIT. Funny thing is I really rate Silver, especially the way it latches on to a note and holds it for the duration, so am not a frag snob, but this one just had too much of a violet emphasise to float my boat. It was just missing what I love about GIT for it to work for me, almost like having 'semi skimmed GIT' instead of full fat. In the bottle it smells similar to GIT's violet/Verbena notes so I was quietly optimistic of what was to come. But literally from first application through to the 10-12 hours of longevity, my nose only picked up violets and an odd slightly sweet plasticky smell, which is not at all unpleasant, but for me it reminded me of something that I couldn't quite place but was not really all that close to how GIT smells on me. Don't get me wrong, In it's own right, it is actually quite pleasant and very inoffensive but not a frag i'd personally reach for often enough to justify keeping it in my collection, even at the ludicrous price of £1.61 per 6ml roll on. Back to the smell, I knew the smell reminded me of something from my childhood and one of my kids summed it up by saying 'Dad, your cologne smells like the way Palma Violet sweets taste', and she has a point! I just find it too violet heavy. All was not lost though, I decanted the 6ml oil in to a bottle I was gifted of Pocket Scents 'Essence of Eire' (It's sold as a budget clone of GIT but is actually a dead ringer for the latest CW with an added sharp Verbena note in the opening and some iris in the mid), and with the added violet blast I now have a passable GIT type of frag, not a spot on dupe by any means, but certainly one that gives me that every day GIT vibe and is certainly better than CW/Aspen.

Blind bought it based on the reviews here. I bought the roll-on version. Frankly, haven't had the chance to sample GIT by Creed. I hated Coolwater when I bought it because of lavender, which reminded me too much of washing soaps. I had returned it, thankfully that option was available, paid extra & bought Terre D'Hermes instead. i took a chance with this inspite of the similarity to Cool water because there was no lavender present in the notes mentioned. And, I have grown to love Champion Black increasingly with each wear. And the obvious similarity to Coolwater is there, but I like this way better than Coolwater. And boy does it last! I get 10 hours easy. Champion Black is a true Champion for me!!!

No with the capital 'N'. Had to wash it off properly with soap, after giving it some time on my skin, but it was synthetic in the beginning and remained synthetic...... plastic-y synthetic. It has the faint vibe of Cool Water or better say, going in similar direction but not in a good way. Champion Black, along with Silver and Blanc did not work for me. Al-Fares is just ok. However, Zidan and Dakar are really impressive. I will try other offerings by Al-Rehab like Sultan, Lord, Oudy, Romantic, One Secret, Superman in next few days and will report.

I got three of these Al-rehab roll ons, Silver, Sultan, and Champion Black. Out of the three this one is my least favorite. It starts off ok, kinda reminds me of the classic Old Spice deodorant, but with more depth to it. After two hours it becomes this plasticky scent almost like playdough. Yes it reminds me of playdough! Overall not my thing will probably give it away.

I'm from Indonesia, I've compared directly this roll on with Davidoff cool water, and I think they are indeed there are similarities, especially in cool water base notes. if we sniff directly on the bottle champion black and the smells will be smoky and plasticky, but when we put it on the skin, the impression it will be down.

This is actually exactly what I was looking for: a budget version of GIT's green notes without the animal notes that I really dislike. I own the roll-on but I've already ordered the spray version. Projection and longevity are average but then so is the original GIT.

Yep, Champion Black is a great CW clone... some might even prefer this one. A great, safe blind buy for fans of Cool Water. EDIT: I had to edit this review regarding longevity. Now that warmer weather has come around, it is lasting 5 or more hours on my skin...

Frankly speaking it dosent smell like Cool Water at all (cant say about GIT as I didnt smell it)...Davidoff Coolwater have that cold ice like freshness but I must say It does have that greenish aromatic aspect of Cool Water & sour crispness...

I'm late to this, but this is pretty much a clone of Armaf Tres Nuit. Which basically means it's another alternative to GIT. This to me is much closer to Tres Nuit, and to me definately closer to Coty Aspen than Cool Water

It really does smell like GIT / CW, and it is very strong. For me, this was a negative because that scent makes me physically sick somehow, but for its fans it must be a good thing.

This smells like montblanc legend but more harsh. Projects well and is long lasting too.
