Review for the purse/pocket spray: I've been enjoying this wee bargain for several days in a row now, and am still having difficulty encapsulating Classic into words. I can see why reviews here are ambivalent or vague. There is something enigmatic about the end result of these notes that defies proper description. For one thing, this is not a middle eastern bomb with loud notes yelling their own names. I like those too, but not all the time. Classic is more like a blended floriental western fragrance from the 80's, with the addition of coriander. That note of coriander saves Classic from smelling run-of-the-mill or provincial. A mere hint of nutmeg adds warmth to the wood and anonymous flowers.... On first sniff I thought - definitely unisex. After several more wearings, I got a very womanly vibe that would need serious layering to feel 'masculine' in flavor. My impression now - almost 2 weeks later - is that Classic is all woman and unapologetic about it! I find Classic very much in the same category of scent as Chloe by Karl Lagerfeld or Organza by Givenchy. But she does not smell like either one. She is a gorgeous pairing of powder, amber, floral, spice, and wood. A nicely blended 'peachy' note ( probably the amber ) adds welcome sweetness, while the wood keeps the entire feeling one of a grown up, rather than girlhood, bouquet. To sum up - Classic is quietly addictive. I'd call her bargain chic. Because that's what she is - chic and a bargain!

Al-Rehab Classic... I have owned this roll-on for over two years, and it's one of my favorite Al Rehabs. It's not suitable for every season, but there are times when nothing else will do. I tend to reach for it in the daytime when I'm in the mood for easy-to-wear, unmistakably feminine fragrances. In mycollection, it's a sister to Narciso Rodriguez Narciso EDP and Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire (Couture in particular). I'm loving it today when it's too hot to wear Hypnotic Poison (it's about 75F) but I'm longing for something sweet, feminine, and clean. As with other roll-ons from this house, a favorite way to apply is to generously smear the roll-on onto the palm of one hand, rub both palms together, and then rub all over freshly washed skin. I then also add a *tiny* smear to the inside of my left elbow just for myself to enjoy and to check the fragrance's progress. Classic envelops me in a sweet cloud while being spicy and woody at the site of application. It's one of the more tenacious Al-Rehabs in terms of longevity. In my experience, some Al Rehabs, particularly Saat Safa and Dakar, tend to "decompose" in their drydowns with only the most lasting and synthetic-smelling components sticking around. Classic develops but remains consistently pleasant and nice-smelling throughout. This is a 24+ hour fragrance. Great bang for the buck.

The slightly boring name and bottle design conceals a cozy gem of a fragrance. Perfect for autumn. I agree that this is a relatively safe choice. Powdery woody and ambery, warm like Saat Safa but way less spicy, mossy and there is absolutely no cumin here or any cedar impersonationg that. I believe I can detect some carnation which prodouces that wonderful old school powdery warmth. I have to use this more often to come to a final conclusion but in my recent test I felt that while the opening is chanel-like and the development is pleasant, the further drydown isn't as exciting anymore and the fragrance becomes a bit cheap smelling. I need to check this again and update my review. Update Nov 14: Wore this today as I had a daytime office event and was looking for something that wouldn't rock the boat. This is the most "perfumey" Al Rehab I can think of. Like wearing gold earrings and a scarf with a blazer and carrying a posh handbag. Not necessarily sexy but rather stating that you a professional, well groomed etc. with an air of luxury. A cosy warm powdery soapy delight, garnished with vanilla and something milky that reminds me of Al Rehab Rasha. This time round I applied generously and have to say even the drydown was very enjoyable.

This is for the 6ml oil This is only classic if your too young to remember: High tops, puffy jean jackets, rooster tails, rattails and Trapper Keepers. (in their first incarnation anyway) It reminds me of a late 80's or very early 90's style oriental only softer and cleaner. Not as loud! I never went in for that pop sort of look. I was metal/goth all the way! But I love this scent! (IMO) Every note is present and noticeable in equal amounts. Only the powder and white musk are more prominent but they aren't hogging center stage. Classic by Al Rehab is the sum of it's parts. Yes, it's a safe one but I don't find it boring. Update: Okay, if overapplied or applied in the same place too many times I can definitely smell some dirty spice. That being said the dirtiness only last 20 to 30 minuets than goes away.

I like others am having a hard time putting my finger on what exactly is going on with this one. But I really like it. I have the oil and it is strong and long, long lasting. I can still smell it on myself the next day. Wearing this is an absolute pleasure. I am constantly catching whiffs of it all day long. I swear I can even smell it in my sleep. In my opinion, this leans to the feminine side, but who cares! Wear what makes you happy, I have "male" scents in my collection. But for the sake of putting things in categories, this is more feminine than unisex. Powdery, spicy, amber & vanilla. It's an absolute bargain too! A+
