Review for the purse/pocket spray: I've been enjoying this wee bargain for several days in a row now, and am still having difficulty encapsulating Classic into words. I can see why reviews here are ambivalent or vague. There is something enigmatic about the end result of these notes that defies proper description. For one thing, this is not a middle eastern bomb with loud notes yelling their own names. I like those too, but not all the time. Classic is more like a blended floriental western fragrance from the 80's, with the addition of coriander. That note of coriander saves Classic from smelling run-of-the-mill or provincial. A mere hint of nutmeg adds warmth to the wood and anonymous flowers.... On first sniff I thought - definitely unisex. After several more wearings, I got a very womanly vibe that would need serious layering to feel 'masculine' in flavor. My impression now - almost 2 weeks later - is that Classic is all woman and unapologetic about it! I find Classic very much in the same category of scent as Chloe by Karl Lagerfeld or Organza by Givenchy. But she does not smell like either one. She is a gorgeous pairing of powder, amber, floral, spice, and wood. A nicely blended 'peachy' note ( probably the amber ) adds welcome sweetness, while the wood keeps the entire feeling one of a grown up, rather than girlhood, bouquet. To sum up - Classic is quietly addictive. I'd call her bargain chic. Because that's what she is - chic and a bargain!

Al-Rehab Classic... I have owned this roll-on for over two years, and it's one of my favorite Al Rehabs. It's not suitable for every season, but there are times when nothing else will do. I tend to reach for it in the daytime when I'm in the mood for easy-to-wear, unmistakably feminine fragrances. In mycollection, it's a sister to Narciso Rodriguez Narciso EDP and Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire (Couture in particular). I'm loving it today when it's too hot to wear Hypnotic Poison (it's about 75F) but I'm longing for something sweet, feminine, and clean. As with other roll-ons from this house, a favorite way to apply is to generously smear the roll-on onto the palm of one hand, rub both palms together, and then rub all over freshly washed skin. I then also add a *tiny* smear to the inside of my left elbow just for myself to enjoy and to check the fragrance's progress. Classic envelops me in a sweet cloud while being spicy and woody at the site of application. It's one of the more tenacious Al-Rehabs in terms of longevity. In my experience, some Al Rehabs, particularly Saat Safa and Dakar, tend to "decompose" in their drydowns with only the most lasting and synthetic-smelling components sticking around. Classic develops but remains consistently pleasant and nice-smelling throughout. This is a 24+ hour fragrance. Great bang for the buck.

The slightly boring name and bottle design conceals a cozy gem of a fragrance. Perfect for autumn. I agree that this is a relatively safe choice. Powdery woody and ambery, warm like Saat Safa but way less spicy, mossy and there is absolutely no cumin here or any cedar impersonationg that. I believe I can detect some carnation which prodouces that wonderful old school powdery warmth. I have to use this more often to come to a final conclusion but in my recent test I felt that while the opening is chanel-like and the development is pleasant, the further drydown isn't as exciting anymore and the fragrance becomes a bit cheap smelling. I need to check this again and update my review. Update Nov 14: Wore this today as I had a daytime office event and was looking for something that wouldn't rock the boat. This is the most "perfumey" Al Rehab I can think of. Like wearing gold earrings and a scarf with a blazer and carrying a posh handbag. Not necessarily sexy but rather stating that you a professional, well groomed etc. with an air of luxury. A cosy warm powdery soapy delight, garnished with vanilla and something milky that reminds me of Al Rehab Rasha. This time round I applied generously and have to say even the drydown was very enjoyable.

This is for the 6ml oil This is only classic if your too young to remember: High tops, puffy jean jackets, rooster tails, rattails and Trapper Keepers. (in their first incarnation anyway) It reminds me of a late 80's or very early 90's style oriental only softer and cleaner. Not as loud! I never went in for that pop sort of look. I was metal/goth all the way! But I love this scent! (IMO) Every note is present and noticeable in equal amounts. Only the powder and white musk are more prominent but they aren't hogging center stage. Classic by Al Rehab is the sum of it's parts. Yes, it's a safe one but I don't find it boring. Update: Okay, if overapplied or applied in the same place too many times I can definitely smell some dirty spice. That being said the dirtiness only last 20 to 30 minuets than goes away.

I like others am having a hard time putting my finger on what exactly is going on with this one. But I really like it. I have the oil and it is strong and long, long lasting. I can still smell it on myself the next day. Wearing this is an absolute pleasure. I am constantly catching whiffs of it all day long. I swear I can even smell it in my sleep. In my opinion, this leans to the feminine side, but who cares! Wear what makes you happy, I have "male" scents in my collection. But for the sake of putting things in categories, this is more feminine than unisex. Powdery, spicy, amber & vanilla. It's an absolute bargain too! A+

All along there has been a note here I could not define or put my finger on. Then the other day I stumbled on a website with this description: Sandalwood, Orange Flowers, a pinch of Saffron will surprise you with it's intensity. In conclusion, Citrus, Musk, vanilla, and BITTER ALMONDS show your special beauty. That's IT! Bitter almonds. The same almonds found in Noria, I might add, though Noria is a tangy musk with hints of coconut. They could be cousins, but not sisters. ;) So in addition to the lovely coriander and nutmeg Fragrantica mentions, the Bitter Almonds need to be taken into account. Beautiful!

I have the roll on version of this product. At first, I really underestimated the quality of this brand because of the cheap price, the roll on version only costs IDR20k/USD 1,5 here in my country. But when I try it, I really fall in loveee! It lasts really long, so powdery, fresh, and sweet i can smell the vanilla and something flowery, but not so girly. My kind of favourite fragrance because when I use it, it really made my day <3 <3 10/10!

I can definitely see a lot of people liking 'Classic'. It's like the palest shade of beige somehow rendered into a perfume. Like someone else, it does remind me also of a very-soft Coco Mademoiselle with a few notes exchanged, or more like the scent of CM several hours after it is first applied, or even Omnia many hours after. I cannot offer a better reference than that, as I am usually not drawn to such soft scents. Nor is there any way that I can easily pick out notes here- but I do smell the almonds that Drugstore mentioned, and the soft peach, the orangey-green of coriander seeds, and a little freesia way in the background... there is a milky-cream-like note too... but mostly I smell the powdery, vanilla-tinged amber-musk with an edge of cashmere and orris. The sillage is quite soft on me, but the scent is persistent even after 16 hours when I press my nose to my skin. It's a lovely skin-scent. I don't know that I relate to it personally as I prefer a bit more heft and drama in a perfume, but I will say that it would be impossible for anyone in the vicinity to be offended. It could be a cozy, snuggly sort of scent... or a scent to wear when you don't want to draw attention. Al Rehab's 'White Musk' is a powerhouse bomb by comparison! I just thought of a better way to describe this: it's like wearing a thin smear of a scented lotion.

I've had this oil for about 6 months now. I enjoy it very much. The notes, at least for me, are so hard to pick out. I don't know what I'm smelling besides corriander and spices. It smells very interesting. I sampled a perfume the other day and i now know what classic smells like!! It is identical in every way to Agent Provocateur Fatale Intense!! I even did a side by side comparison and yes, they are the same. Classic has better sillage and longevity on my skin than Fatale Intense. Instead of buying another perfume im just getting a back up of Classic!

at first I ike this, it opens up really powdery and sweet. as I wear it it changes in a strange way but I like that about it. it becomes an less powdery and very sweet, on my sleeve I smell a trace of liquorice. its very hard to describe and I love it for its weirdness. my sister however, being less obsessed with perfume than I am took one sniff from the roller and gagged saying it smelled like lilac and old ladies!

Nice powdery vanilla-y slightly floral fragrance. Suitable for any age and any season/occasion. It reminds me a tiny bit of Narciso Rodriguez. I have noticed with Al-Rehab perfumes they smell quite different on the skin than from the bottle (I have the oil), so test it on your skin you will probably like it more. Great for the price and I would definitely recommend if you like powdery scents.

this opens with the powdery notes, some soft florals and a little hint of nutmeg. it's pretty soft and subtle. the florals smell like the iris in lolita lempicka to me. in fact this smells A LOT like lolita lempicka to me, at least in the beginning. it is less sweet and more powdery, but definitely could be a lolita lempicka flanker. it's a bit drier and less complex but it's really pretty!

I have the oil. This is great! Mature and sensual, in the best way possible. Reminds me a little of Narciso Poudree (by Narciso Rodriguez), with a bit of a creamier undertone. Very elegant. If this was Chanel or Dior people would be losing their minds over this. Seriously considering buying a bigger bottle once I'm out of this one.

Not bad. Not a dupe but along with lines of Chanel No 5, which never did much for me. It seems mostly fresh spicy, I do not detect powder, amber or musk. Fairly potent scent but suitable in small doses for day wear.

Reviewing the spray/full bottle. Vintage, fragranced makeup powder. A pretty scent. A solid 'like', it's just okay.

I got it from Makkah. This is sweet floral yet strong scent. Perfect for night time.

Fine for a fun ‘n’ frivolous cheapie but it’s too sweetly feminine for me. It’s like Coco Mademoiselle with flouncy marshmallows. It’s a Disney Princess type of scent: feminine, innocent with hooped skirts and powder-puffs. It actually doesn’t last on my skin - staying for about an hour then fading away to nothing. It clings to fabric though, I hadn’t realised how much it had vanished from my skin until I put my coat back on at the end of the day and there it was, strongly projecting. Nice but nope.

I have a sample of the EdP. Classic begins with nondescript fruity and floral notes on a powdery backdrop, reminding me a bit of gummy licorice rope. As it settles on the skin, this fragrance transforms into a blend of warm amber, dry wood, and spicy nutmeg powder. Earthy, dry, and spicy as opposed to floral, Classic's final stage leans unisex to my nose. The price point is very affordable and Al Rehab's oils are readily available in most areas.

This is for the oil. There’s something about the combination of notes that is very reminiscent of raisins? Raisin, amber and sweet wood. There’s also a soapy, barbershop-like smell in this. It’s pleasant, but I wouldn’t consider it primarily for women. I feel this is good for men who like sweet fragrances.

Fire the roll-on. Starts very powdery and potent, somehow felt like a chocolate scent. As it dries it gets sweeter and lighter. Not bad. The citruses can be detected, but it kinda feels like the composition lacks something, or has something that shouldn't be there.

(Oil) After it has settled, after a very short (and a bit strange) floral citrusy phase, it’s mostly warm powder, I would say a nice and spicy tonka bean and amber combination. And something like a sandalwood candle? I find it calming. Mood thing.

reallyyyy light like I can barely smell it. at first it smells a bit like chocolate and some citrus I don't think it smells nice but it smells. it dries down to something floral sweet and light

I get mostly amber, with some powder and a bit of floral, a hint of nutmeg in the background. Mature but not retro.

It reminds me of some high end classic scent (maybe one that was created several decades ago), I cannot place which. It bring to mind some Avon scent, I don't remember which one now, but may be a very distant relative of Little Black Dress. True to its name, it is a classic. I recollect it faintly, I may have smelt it some decades ago. It starts like a Chanel scent, (closest is Coco Mademoiselle minus a few notes). I guess it is a mish mash of several Chanels... a mix of No. 5, Coco & Mademoiselle. I may not reach out for this daily as I don't think I can carry Classic really well. I will wear it on formal or semi-formal occasions most preferably on a black dress.

This review is for the roll-on oil of this. It's a nice enough smell. Initially very sweet and similar to that powdery Turkish Delight stuff you get in boxes. It deepens a little to become more complex and gets a hint of spiciness. I like it but won't/can't wear it - it is too loud, sweet and feminine for me, as a man, to feel comfortable wearing it. I personally wouldn't consider this one unisex. It lasts forever. Strong on my skin and projecting well for in excess of 10-12 hours. I could still smell it more than 24 hours later even after a shower.

This one is dull... There's nothing wrong with Al-Rehab house, in fact I enjoyed their products quite a lot consider the quality and the price, but Classic is lifeless and boring

Can't get over the spices in this one.. it reminds me of all herbal teas combined :) some notes in here smell like licorice.. i don't like it.. We'll see if i change my mind

This smells like actual gasoline. Awful. If you're dipping your toes into Al-Rehab scents they are SUCH a hit or miss! go for soft instead!!!

AR's Classic attar oil version-2024 I couldn't wait 2 try this when I read the following notes that appeal 2 me: powdery, amber,musky, vanilla and musky...aaand maybe woody. I read others reviews here and saw one that said it's reminiscent 2 Mugler's Angel and one that even sad gasoline.... that both intrigued & concerned me. At first I thought how crazy as that's polar ends of a spectrum however, albeit it a classic scent, yet I can understand both reviewer's take on that...it is oddly hard 2 figure out. First impressions: It's aptly name. With its powdery base it is "classic" when I think of the elders in the 70s and 80s it was the powdery fare so commonly worn by older women at that time. Its antique yet there's a gourmand flair 2 it. As a kid in the 80s I remember a drug store scent being of this ilk...a pleasant safe smell u were apt 2 get wafting at u when u go shopping anywhere in the 80s. I wish I could remember this french perfume that was in the stores then which it reminds me of. It's not 100% old fashioned as it has something a bit mysterious peeking in which I think is the sandalwood, which may b the strange note that could b mistaken 4 gasoline. Funny how sandalwood is such a prominent note on its own but sorta becomes a chameleon in mixes... As both a gourmand lover and powdery/ambery fan, I like this but I want 2 blend it with something 2 temper the antique classic vibe, perhaps more vanilla or boost the amber? As is, it is nice, but not sure I'm wanting 2 conjure up imagines of an older lady quite just yet when someone smells me lol. I think it's very close 2 AR's Dalal in its quiet but fresh tone of vanilla powderiness yet it's more gourmand like Muglar's Angel. I do know Angel has sandalwood and vanilla which I think the combo produces that light nice true caramel that I get from Angel. However, Angel has more moods it goes thru in it's dry down than Classic does as I feel like Classic is pretty linear where u smell powder/caramel/vanilla sandalwoodish throughout with maaaaaybe the slightest hint of licorice (I hate black licorice so this is nothing like the note in SOFT or Pink Sugar that I simply can't take), it's more like a very distant echo of a ghost of licorice that can b sensed if u're looking 4 it.... But it's like an alexandrite or a mood ring in that all the notes r there but it's like u can pick out 1 or more at a time if u really focus, even though I don't think they're moving notes at all. In short if u like gourmand and powdery, this is an easy buy. I'd bet if u like Angel, u'd like this too as I do. If u hate powdery I'd skip it but otherwise it's a very nice buy and a powerhouse of longevity. It's light and gentle but truly long lasting, I could even smell it on me after a shower! So def bang 4 your buck on this one. Whilest I thought the person saying gasoline was crazy... if u open your mind I can see getting a whiff and thinking that. But keep in mind I like the smell of some gasoline at times. While nice on its own, I think this would b a great one to try 2 make your own blends. I hope this helps, happy sniffing!

It reminds me of my grandmother, who always wore powder. There was a small compartment of her house where she kept her powder and on an other shelf chocolates and sweets for us when we visited her - I liked her, I liked the smell, therefore it's already worth it for me for this sole experience, brings back good memories. Classic is a pretty accurate name, even the box tells it's gonna be powdery, resembling the old tradition of powdering that suddenly went out of fashion with the disappearence of older generations. But would I wear it as a man? Probably not. For me it's a far more feminine fragnance, but I imagine even amongst ladies not everybody would prefer it. So it's rather niche nowadays - buy only if you are after powder.

Classic was very different to what i had expected. This is no where as loud as Soft or Nebras. Even lighter than Dalal. It instantly reminded me of a tamer version of Al Rehab Rasha and Gucci Rush (pink bottle). Even though it smells light it does last a long time. I purchased this and havent tested this properly but i think Classic would be great for office use as it doesnt smell strong and quite modern smelling if youre avoiding oud based fragrances.

Update: Wearing the oil out today. It smells really good and very feminine. Floral and oriental, a little sweet. This scent packs a punch! I didn't smell much at first so applied more and omg. I am the public transport air freshener now. Please go light on the oil! This is what I'd thought Club de Nuit Women would smell like. Sweet, floral, feminine, a little citrusy, mesmerising. I have the oil.

I bought this in the roll on oil. I guess I can see the similarities to JpG but it’s far less powdery. Still has notes that read as that, but mostly its soft almond/orange blossom. Nutmeg is distinct first on, but it blends away . This one is sweet and very strong, but not sugary cloying sweet. I like it. It's an easy wear, not going to offend anyone unless you bath in it.

Very woody , being a girl I think a unisex fragrance ..first floral notes still heavy due to woodyness in it ...and after 2 hrs it becomes a soft powdery woody floral scent ....not a fav from al rehab but a good one ... I think it will be soothing on winters

This reminds me of the 90s in a good way. I picture myself in a polo shirt, jeans, and white sneakers while wearing this. It is crisp, yet soft at the same time. It’s a bit sweet without being obnoxious. I love the nostalgia effect it has on me.

Smells gourmand to me. Not really something that I would be drawn to. Will gift -
