Cup Cake

simply lovely! it opens like airy citrus cupcake but the citrus disappears very fast for me and leaves my skin smelling like warm sugar and vanilla. No buttery notes or anything like that. I even get a tiny hint of musk that’s very common in Al-Rehab perfume oils which I really love. Nothing outstandong but I can see myself wearing this as a daily scent. 🧁🤍

Sweet and smells exactly like a bakery

It's me, Blind buy again! lol It's simply cup cake, not too citrus, not too lemon, just a basic vanilla cup cake mix with a bit lemon. Simple but yummy!

Oil review. Quite happy with this little one. I've compared it to Al Rehab's other lemon vanilla, Soft, because the cakey lemon opening is quite similar. This is initially a zesty lemon icing. Not too sweet and not too cakey, it's more sugary and straightforward. It dries down into a warm, ever so slightly powdery amber with a very delicate vanilla. This vanilla drydown compared to Soft is much 'softer' (ha!) but I do think Soft still has the nicer vanilla drydown with that woody touch to it. Where this one wins over Soft however is that it lacks the incense/vetiver/ethyl maltol middle of that one that is just a little too ruinous for me to make that my perfect lemon vanilla scent. Cup Cake is if you simply took the lemon opening of Soft and isolated it from all the other notes. I imagine these two will layer beautifully so I need to try that. I've only had the oil for a few days now so my opinion could be subject to change but these are my initial thoughts. Great addition if you like Soft or want something more gentle and straightforward, or just a cheapie lemon vanilla gourmand!

Blind Bought this in a bundle of al rehab fragrances, it is definitely not the stereotypical sweet bakery smell. It is more of a lemon zest cupcake! I personally hate citrus smells, but its good for someone who likes citrus notes that are alongside weak vanilla/sweet notes!
