Jasmin

Just got this as a gift from my sister. It smells really great! It gives off that powdery vibe, without smelling like baby powder. Which, as someone who enjoys baby powder, as well as other powdery scents I love the switch up. You can't really get musk out of it, and the roller I got is a little meh, but when it works, oh baby she works! She works a nine to five on my skin! It's so good, I cannot fathom to you how many people turn heads when I walk. A lovely woman came up to me today and asked me what I was wearing! this scent is splendid if you want a jasmine perfume in your collection, and the price is superb! Definitely buy this. Now with the "uniqueness" factor, she's not all that special. And as someone who values smelling unique that's a little disappointing. But it makes up for that with the flattering scent it has. She isn't original, but she's unbelievably delightful.

This oil is f****ing UNbelievable; it leaves me speechless, with tears in my eyes, my throat closing up! I keep it because every time my daughter and I smell it, we crack up laughing! It's the most indolic jasmine I've ever smelled, literally mothballs and dirty ashtrays, plus some beautiful jasmine flowers -- but TOO strong, like air freshener. I keep this stuff to smell because I do enjoy smelling it, but I would NEVER wear it. Be forewarned!!! If you're a serious indolic jasmine lover, this is your bag, baby! ;)

I love JASMINE. So this cheapie oil perfume is the answer of my dream. I only dab it a little bit. The type of scents that I will wear inside or in the sheets and pillow. I will not wear it outside to meet people, cos this scents will reminds people with dearly departed spirits (local believe).

A very strong (I could smell it through the packaging), heavy, sweet scent that opens with a sharp hint of acetone. Heady and indolic, I find this synthetic in the best sense: a created glamour, captivating in its timeless tropical femininity.

True beastmode performance and a bonus if you like Alien by Mugler. (At least to my nose) Honestly its like going back to the mid 00's where fragrance would still boom off your skin. My god do I miss those days... Another beauty from Al Rehab.

Its far from "baby powder". I would describe the scent to be like incense that dries down to a nice, slightly masculine leaning musk. It lasts so long!!

I agree with the other reviewers : Powerful and strong ! I have the perfume concentrate oil in roller ball form. A small amount goes a long way, and I am talking teeny weeny small ! I love jasmine, and am well aware and a little afraid of the poopy smell that others have commented on regarding jasmine. A tiny barely there touch of this oil on pulse points , is enough, if not more than sufficient. Silage reaches great distances. Just the bottle INSIDE of the box alone can scent a room. I have been asked by a male co worker the name of the scent I was wearing , and I replied " Too Much" ! However, he loved it, and asked me to write down the name for him. I have received many compliments. It can be a very pretty floral... but proceed with caution ( for even the most of jasmine lovers ) I cannot stress that enough ! I found this to be one of my layering pieces. Goes well with VS Secret Charm, and musks.

It is a synthetic and rather generic jasmine, the kind you find in room fragrance oils that are diffused with absorbent sticks. I have smelled Southeast Asian sambac jasmine and this is not it either, and over the last few years have smelled mock orange (a jasmine-type smell), "regular" jasmine and the climbing type with tiny flowers found in Greece. Not those either. There is an odd cherry-like note, and a sort of warm woodiness. I admit I cannot identify the definitive jasmine scent so I do not know if in fact this is how it really smells. But I have encountered so many putatively jasmine deodorizing products, and when I close my eyes to smell this fragrance, I visualize a rack of just-washed dishes or a rattly old office airconditioner with a cake of deodorizer appended to it.

Oil Version: This is a very strong, synthetic jasmine. I second the fellow fragranticans who say there is a distinct rubber/acetone smell in this. While sniffing it on me I also get rubbery almond as a weird, interesting cream base. This has quite a "room deodorant" vibe to it. Now I wouldn ́t say I dislike the scent, even if my description sounded terrible, I just wanted to be honest and describe it as well as I could to convey the feeling of it. I like this a lot because it is so indolic and sweet, very potent, tropical and warm. Very nice for hot summer nights. If you have Al Rehab ́s "Full" Jasmine could be described as a synthetic version on steroids.

Definitely not one for over applying, like a previous reviewer said, undiluted this stuff gives you a mothball vibe. So use a little rub between your hands and run them over skin and hair... beautiful jasmin, a mix between a far eastern beauty salon and a basket full of fresh laundry. I am wearing this to bed tonight and hope for tropical dreams :-) Update: I applied this together with a "TM Alien" perfume oil (you may do the same with the original Alien EDP of course) - a wonderfully balanced jasmin symphony, not for the faintheated though!!

Very powerful; use with discretion, but combine it with White Full and you have a very reasonable A la Nuit smell-alike for those times when you are feeling poverty-stricken.

Potent Jasmin. May try a dab with the Demeter Jasmin to give that more longevity.

This is a very potent indolic jasmine oil that works best for me when I layer it with other perfumes. It is also perfect as a hair perfume. I put just a couple of drops in the palm of my hand and dilute it with whatever hair product I'm using that day. When used that way, it lasts all day and into the night and leaves a perfect scent trail that's very noticeable but not too overpowering. I get tons of compliments on it.

This rollerball oil starts out as a powerful relatively indolic, musky jasmine scent. However after 2 hours the fragrance smells like soap and mothballs. If potent white florals are your thing this might be up your alley, otherwise take precaution if you consider buying. Rating: 6.8/10

Strong jasmine scented fragrance, it can be a bit harsh to the nose. Not really a fan of straight uo strong jasmine.

Hmm... so promising, but like others have said, there is an acetone or plastic-like odor hiding in the folds which seriously compromises this composition- especially when smelled up close. I don't know what it is, because even pure synthetic jasmine (which is evident here) lacks this off-putting odor... From a distance, it's not the worst- clean and fresh- with huge sillage at first, and great longevity. I tried layering it with Al Rehab's 'White Musk', which seems to diffuse that off-note a bit. Try 'Full' or 'White Full' if you're seeking a better jasmine blend. Added note upon second (and final) wearing: Among the 40 or so Al Rehab fragrances that I've tried so far, 'Jasmin' remains THE ONLY one that I would relegate to the "neutral bordering on dislike" pile.... and I have decided to use up my bottle as a room-scent only. So, if you happened to have started here upon your middle-eastern journey, have no fear to keep moving along: there are many gems among Al Rehab's offerings!

This jasmine starts like a crisp unripe green apple , going camphorous and acetone-y, almost licorice-like to me. No sweet or "urinal" notes . The strong notes dry down to a slightly sweet in-offensive jasmine until it fades away many, many hours later. To me, it has nothing in common with Lust by Lush, which is much sweeter and much more fecal. Instead, compare to the top notes of Alien by Mugler. I would recommend Full instead if you're looking for a white floral from Al Rehab. It's sweeter, warmer, more tropical and has a better opening.

So synthetic! I usually love jasmine, I even drink jasmine tea every morning... This one is way too synthetic for an ittar, what a disappointment! Jasmine is supposed to be relaxing, I love to use jasmine massage oil at the spa for massage, this one however doesn't smell or at least makes me relax. It smells more like that cheap potpourri oil refill... Major letdown from Al Rehab (based on my opinion of course), but consider the price I don't care that much anyway...

Yeah ;( v synthetic and cheap smelling. Its smells just like I rubbed a jasmine burner oil on my skin.. it opens v strong, sweet and sharp.. I think it is sweeter and harsher than Tunisian jasmine. I much prefer the TJ. The drydown is awful.. like ash and hot rubber.. this has put me off trying any of the other Al Rehabs even if they are so cheap

Imagine you left a plastic bag out in the heat. The bag started lightly melting and smelling of plastic and asphalt. Then you pour some cheap jasmin-esque smelling fabric softener on it. Voila! Now you know how this smells. Awful, how could this be released on the market is beyond me.

Opening is overly floral-synthetic and lotion-like, dry down is diabetically sweet, and dry. It is reminiscent of mexican laundry detergent. Compare with khalis musk by lattafa and pure musk by afnan. 4/10

i usually love jasmine but this one is so synthetic. makes me hate it.. don't blind buy this or any other middle eastern fragrance although it's cheap.

This is too strong and smells mediciney on me, but I dabbed some on a cotton ball and put it under the seat in my car, works great for a nice smell!

VERY indolic on me but on my m-i-l it was a lovely true jasmine so I gave it to her. Could smell the scent before even opening the mailing package.

A very realistic smell of burnt plastic and/or acetone. I get whiffs of jasmine, but the chemical smell is so overpowering I can't stand it.

sickly-sweet jasmine, i hated this. extremely overpowering and synthetic.

I bought this for the sole purpose of adding to Mariah Carey's M to see if I could replace the missing jasmine that would then make this a dupe for the first Dita Von Teese fragrance . It has been discontinued and is one of my favourite perfumes. I dabbed the jasmine on my arm and sprayed Mariah Carey's M on top. On my other arm I sprayed Dita Von Teese. They are very similar. The recreation is a bit sweeter, probably the marshmallow, and the jasmine a bit rougher. The tiare, patchouli and incense are all there resulting in a decent but not perfect copy. The jasmine itself is strong and a gentle touch would be my recommendation.

I bought the 6ml rollerball, despite all the dubious reviews, as I love the scent of jasmine and how bad can it be eh? Well, it does smell of jasmine, but a very harsh screechy synthetic jasmine. Annasarahr121 was right to say it smells like mothballs and air freshener. It has a medicinal smell too. It reminds me of the antibiotic eardrops I had a child. Despite all this I really like it! Mainly because the smell is an absolute behemoth, like most Al Rehab rollerballs, and so you get a lot of bang for your buck (£2.99 Inc postage).

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. I was expecting a deep, intoxicating and indolic scent kind of like Lust by Lush. It's not that, it's a super strong soapy almost plasticky scent, something about it smells fruity, kind of like artificial banana aroma. Someone said it smells like mothballs, and that's actually true. I'm still gonna use it cause I love the smell of mothballs, but if you're looking for a realistic, sexy, summery jasmine, this is not it. I think I'm going to go with Nabeel's jasmin oil next time.

Phew, this stuff is strong....just the way I like it. I was hoping for a cheaper alternative to Child, something with pikake (sambac) jasmine. But to my nose, this jasmine is closer to the jasmine in Lush's lust. Loud, sweet, and almost gasoline-like at the beginning. In fact, this smells very similar to the Lust solid perfume I own. A great buy for $3!

When I first applied this I would have said it was screechy & synthetic but it's mellowed into a very nice Jasmine with a strong undercurrent of Dove soap.I find this pleasant but others might not. Sillage is surprisingly good for a oil & after two hours it's still going strong.

Do you think I'm getting the smell of mothballs because I over applied it? I put two dabs either side of my neck and a dab on each wrist. I'll go lighter next time UPDATE: Yes with a lighter hand this fragrance is much better, it now smells like fresh linen on me

I like this, to be so strong, it doesn't last long. Like, "Elena" for example. One dot lasts all day. I want to find this in the spray, I actually liked Elena in the spray better. It was toned down a bit & you can blast it on your clothes.

Highly jasmine!! Very heavy and potent for my liking. I definitely prefer Full in this range as it is softer and not indolic as this. If you love the heaviness of Lush Lust - you will like Jasmin.

Underwhelmed. May work as a base oil to layer with other scents, but it's very artificial. For the price, I can't complain - even if I mix it with some unscented body cream.

This is too strong than what I expected. It absolutely a strong perfume. It is alright, but I think it reminds of Jasmin not a scent of Jasmin.
