Karina Rose

Я плоха в том чтобы вычленять ноты, но в целом пахнет розой, немного кисловатой, и есть ещё что-то приятное для меня. Будто скорлупа грецкого ореха, или вроде того. Мне нравится, больше всего люблю носить его в женственных утонченных образах. Обновление: Прошло 3 года с тех пор как я купила это масло, сейчас я слышу кисловатую розу и сладковатые пряности. Но роза всё-таки звучит громче всего. Продолжаю любить это масло.

I love this ....... I want a HUGE bottle of this. I love the way you can get a smell all during the day and then you remember that it is you that smells so wonderful.

Really not so wowed by this Al Rehab at all. Karina Rose comes across as a slighty sour rose with that generic orangey suntan lotion background noise. It develops into a more oudy/mossy base but still the whole composition leaves me unimpressed. Compared to other Al Rehabs it is longlasting as usual but very quiet in terms of sillage.

I have the oil roller. On my skin this is horrible. The Oud comes out just like pungent pencil shavings. Not for me, maybe the sprayer is better than the oil.

The comments on this are split, I didn't know what to expect. A fruity rose note, iris powder, a bit peppery from the saffron... but it overwhelmingly smells of soapy, metallic chemicals. I suspect synthetic amber is the culprit, it has ruined several perfumes for me. The base also contains sandalwood and bitter, medicinal notes. I can't recommend this one, unless your nose agrees with synthetic ambers. I will refrain from commenting on the comparisons to French Cancan. The Agent Provocateur comparisons are giving this oil far too much credit, perhaps an Agent Provocateur scented deodorant. Hopefully my mother likes Karina Rose more than I do. Update: she doesn't.

Again, agreeing with paxtaran. When I first sniffed it, I can't smell anything but a meager hint of rose and some unpleasant synthetic notes of no exact nature. Even if the smell was pleasant, which it is not, the scent is so light that I would probably use the whole bottle within 6 wearings. I think I have overstayed my welcome in the house of Al-Rehab. I probably have fifteen oils now and I'm getting the feeling that I've already bought la creme de la creme from this line. They are very good at manufacturing sweet gourmands, and I think Soft is about as good as it gets. UPDATE: Trying to be my resourceful self, I decanted Karina Rose, mixed with tons of water, put it into a spray bottle, and shook well. I spritzed this concoction a few times in my mama's bathroom. About twenty minutes later, she said, "Whatever you sprayed in the bathroom... don't EVER spray that again in my house." Soooo.... Karina Rose was then trashed, along with Africana. I was very disappointed to be trashing perfume, no matter how inexpensive it is.

Woody, earthy Arabian scent with a definite rose tinge. More unisex than the name implies and definitely not a rose soliflore per se. If you enjoy scents like Al Rehab Sondos, then this is the 'rose' version. ;) My sister - she of Aromatics Elixir sophistication - is more smitten with this woody fragrance than I am, so it is her winter's end gift! I doubt if a rose lover like myself will want this unless strong, earthy wood is also a love.

I bought this today (the oil version) and tried it on my hand. I wasn't expecting much from it, but on my skin it 'sings'. On me, it really is beautiful and has a pleasant, powdery drydown. I can't say it reminds me of any other fragrance, though it seems to have elements which remind me of 1940s/50s perfumery.
