Lubna

One of my favorite Al Rehab oils! The scent is fresh, fruity and makes me happy every time I use it. I cannot pinpoint which perfume it reminds me of but I only remember it was an Italian fragrance. I will be wearing it in Spring and Summer because it reminds me of a sunny, bright day.

I really love this one. Sweet pear with ambery jasmin/iris/rose. I did not get any citruses. Similar to Irresistible by Givenchy.

Wow, do I smell a pear note! To my nose, Lubna smells soooo much like Cacharel Anais Anais Premier Delice --canned pears in sweet syrup. I smell no florals, or anything else, in Lubna or Premier Delice. My taste in pear fragrances leans a bit more floral or even patchouli-based rather than straight-on gourmand: Ralph Lauren Woman, EA My 5th Avenue, L'Eau d'Issey Pure Petale de Nectar, Jimmy Choo, etc. If you love a gourmand sweet pear note, this one's for you!

Soapy, palest pink rose and clean white sheets. Sunny May day, soft breezes across the lawn and freshly-washed soft hair wafting this perfume into the air around you. This is the bridesmaid of perfumes - innocent and pretty, but with possibilty of naughtiness in the long grass. Not too shabby an adventure for a £2 oil!

This smells familiar but I can't place it...a 90s rich floral that is very feminine and cheerful. Also I got Sofia that is not yet listed and it's similar to j'adore

Lovely oil... fruity ambery juicy and sweet . One of their better ones . Can wear this anytime.

Nose Note #13 I bought it for my wife alongside "Red Rose" by Al-Rehab to introduce her to oil perfumery. Unfortunately, she didn't bond with either of them. She likes J'Adore and Kenzo Flower though. It does smell somewhat like J'Adore right from the start, but this almost indistinguishable fruity top note that links it to J'Adore is just not very pleasant and smells a lot like some kids candy sweets, something like citrusy (pear?) jelly beans from the 00s, some candy from the past that you don't typically find nowadays. That being said, it's really REALLY not bad. The top note disperses in about 5-10 minutes and the scent becomes much more natural, inoffensive, more light and more flowery. What was the problem: my wife found the oil to be too prominent and strong and all together a very different experience from the usual stuff. These oils are damn strong. Very long-lasting and the sillage fills the room. So it wasn't the scent that much, it was the outstanding performance that wore my wifey. I have more nerve and am probably more insensitive to strong fragrances, I just tried more of them. My wife likes it very light - Yves Rocher L'Evidence, Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege, etc. Would I recommend it - yes. But maybe in the form of 50ml bottle. The oil is inconvenient and you can't apply it to your clothes - because it is OIL. I've stained myself before hoping it was all lies. To sum it up in one word: STRONG.

"Lubna" means "storax" as in the resin from the storax tree (Liquidambar orientalis). It also alludes to the nature of freshness in general: soaps, flowers, sweet scents, etc. This is certainly not a storax dominant fragrance. There's no mysterious, dark, balmy, resinous heft of storax. Instead, it's "Lubna" in the other sense. Breezy white florals, an aqueous fruity note (pear?), unpinned with a subtle amber and wood. I can't compare this to J'Adore, because I can't remember what it smells like. It's been ages since I've smelled it. Lubna is a pleasant, basic, fruity-white floral, but watch out, this stuff can wear you, if you're too heavy handed with application. I don't recommend putting this anywhere above the waist, actually. You will regret it if you put it: behind the ears, neck, cleavage/chest, inside of elbows, or wrists. Wear it on your ankles, back of knees, or tops of feet (if wearing sandals/flip-flops.) somewhere were it can diffuse a bit. I recommend to anyone who wants an uncomplicated, clean, light-hearted, unpretentious, fruity-white floral. Pretty good for such a cheapy, just go easy on application, and you'll smell fresh and breezy.

I love the way this oil smells in the bottle! Unfortunately, I can't wear it. I agree with others it smells like pears, and on my skin, pear often turns sour and unpleasant, as Lubna did almost right away. A beautiful syrupy fruity fragrance, if you can wear it.
