Nadine

This is the epitome of "spring green" to me. I feel this Nadine has a lot of personality, a greeny springy floral which is not my usual thing. But... it is unique. Something that intrigues my nose and beckons me. I like it. Just not sure exactly how often I'll wear it. Something about this makes me think of White Linen, or Pleasures maybe? Never tried Cabotine, so maybe..? I did check Cabotine notes though, and they seem more in line with Nadine than the ones listed. Especially the ginger. Something is causing the zing. I'd have to describe this as a zesty, bright green, airy, fairy floral. Very flowery, but not really very sweet. Fresh and crisp with some lemon maybe? Just as soon as I think it might be heady, it turns into one of those sour-lemon flowers whose stems you can chew on in the early spring, then back again into a white flower like jasmine with something spicy-ish. I think this is a refreshing type of floral, and will suit a specific craving. To me, a little quirky, sprightly, spring green scent, and I'm glad to have it in my collection.

This is for the 6 ml oil roll-on. The first few times I tried this I absolutely hated it. I got very indolic, harsh florals that reminded me of cheap bathroom air freshener. Then, on the advice of another Fragrantican, I let it settle for a week and tried again. I dabbed the tiniest bit in a few places, and it smelled really nice. Now I can smell the flowers and the rose without the sour note. It is soft and polite and kind of a bright scent. Very nice for summer! This turned out to be a very pleasant surprise, but for me the key is using just the barest amount, otherwise it's a completely different scent. This is true of all the floral al rehabs so far. Some of them work on me, but some just don't, even though they smell good in the bottle (such as Elena and Lovely). I'm not a big fan of rose scents, but to me this is a floral mix rather than predominantly rose, it settles right into my skin and stays gently floral, without becoming powdery.

Simply gorgeous! Magically intoxicating. Very similar to shadha. Go outside wearing nadine or shadha and the sweet magic envelops you... A trail of beautiful sweet green slightly spicy floral bouquet. I love this! I truly love this! But i love love love love shadha as number 1. I bought cabotine, hoping it will be as magical as nadine and shadha... Gosh i hope it is, so i can douse myself in it.

I hated this with a passion at first, but after a week or so of settling time and some perseverance, I love this little oddity. I also have horrendously dry, fragrance repelling skin but this lasts around 18 hours on my wrists. Even after a shower or washing dishes. Amazing.

Smelled like a shitty soap on me but was great on my mom. *SO* nineties. salty, powdery white florals and rose, but make it very business. very femme, major white skirt suits energy. absolutely beautiful. even though it didn't work in me, I can't help but love it.

I've only just purchased this oil. This reminds me of YSL Paris and also the older Coty Paris, though less strident than the former. A lovely, elegant fragrance at a reasonable price - this was a good buy for me at Al-Rehab.

First of all, I'm pretty new to actually looking into perfumes, so I know very little about notes or anything like that. However, I'll try to explain. I first bought Nadine about a year ago. I did not like it at all. It had a really sharp, sour smell that was really chemically, like strong cleaning products. I put it away in a little case where I keep bits and bobs. I only really wear Al Rehab oils in work, because they're inexpensive, last well, and I don't have to reapply. I haven't worn any perfume for over a year, I put them all away when I went on maternity leave, but I'm due to go back soon, so I was checking to see what perfume I had. I found my full bottle of Nadine, and to my joy, I found that putting it away in the dark for so long has made that chemical smell (which I felt was singeing my nostril hair, it was that strong) completely vanish, leaving a really nice, fresh smell, flowery, but not in an overwhelming way, and a bit like, I don't know, grass, perhaps? Something like early summer, anyway. If you buy it and find it really harsh and chemically, hide it for a while. It probably doesn't have to be a year, though.

This is for the 6ml oil Nadine is soft, cuddly pink Sambac Jasmine with calm sweet citrus. It's more creamy sandal than powdery rose. I do get a little of the rose and oud but it's so light you have to know what to look for. Oud has a different effect depending on the notes, amount and type of oud. The citrus comes in as a middle note for me. As well as being a lovely fragrance alone you can also layer Arabian attars fairly easily. Al Rehab oils are so inexpensive you can use them a million ways! I used Nadine in my tea light tart warmer with some water today. WOW! It's like creamy pink clouds filled with kittens and tiny unicorns have invaded my living room! It's freaking gorgeous! I'm buying a box of six and I won't rest until I try every single Al Rehab oil!

Yep, notes are completely off. This is a Cabotine dupe. It's a nice one, with more rounded edges than my Cabotine dupe from Perfume Parlour. I wore this yesterday and the longevity is great. I could actually still smell it after showering. It is a sweet, green gingery tuberose, though, and completely wrong for my weather and mood. I ended up regretting wearing it on a day that was below freezing. However, this will probably be great in springtime. Edit: Scratch what I said before. I'm wearing it today when the weather is below freezing, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I think this more of a mood-dependent scent given its headiness than a weather-dependent one.

It's been bugging me what this reminds me of that I used to have (and I never owned cabotine). For me it reminds me of wings by Giorgio Beverly hills, but a little less soapy. I do like it. It has a 90s floral smell to it. Even a tiny bit like Eternity (but certainly with some notes missing and not the pungent.) Sillage is soft and an hour later and it has faded to a skin scent on me. Another nice pick me up inexpensive nice scent from Al rehab.

This smells just like Cabotine by Gres. Just in case you don't know what Cabotine by Gres smells like, it smells very green and sweet like a warm spring day in England. I don't get any rose at all and certainly no oud. I think the 'notes' section on this page is messed up. After looking at the notes and reading the review below, I expected a rosey facecream type scent but it's not like that on me.

To me, this smells a lot like vintage Chloe! So lovely if you enjoy this style. Soapy aldehydes and rose, surrounded by a complex blend of sweet florals like mimosa, narcissus, jasmine, and orange blossoms- with just a touch of fruitiness- over a base of amber, oakmoss, and musk. Floral chypre, '70's style. No oudh in here; very classic western style.

I agree its like cabotine, very sharp grenn floral. at first I found it very overpowering but as I have about 20 al rehab oils I let it develop and after about an hour it is lovely.

This reminds me of something and I think it might be a 1980s talcum powder, on me it's a soapy/bath salt rose. Not unpleasant but one I will only ever use after a bath.

6ml oil, 95% dupe for vintage Red Door, projection not great but for the price it’s well worth it. Dusk at the Taj Mahal jasmine in the air. I would buy again.

It's so similar to Shadha that I don't know why the same brand came up with this one. Cabotine dupe. Just as bad as the original. A litle less sweet and more citric if you like it.

To me it smells like bathroom cleaner, the ones that smell nice citrusy and fresh, I don't think its suitable for a person because it smells like a product

As there are no reviews yet, I will add my first impressions of Nadine. I am not sure if the notes above are correct. To my nose Nadine is all about rose and loads of white flowers (on a sandalwood background?) with a very creamy drydown in the sense of "expensive face creme" creamy. A while ago I had Al Rehab Shadha which I ended up giving away - I do think these two are very similar although I have no way amymore of verifying this in a side by side comparison. I do not get any oud in this fragrance at all, but then again I love oud and it is never something that turns me off rather a note that I love in quantities so it may well be hidden in here behind all the rose jasmine white curtain. This scent has tremendous sillage and longevity - less is certainly more and rubbing it in well will probably lead sooner to that delicous creamy phase. It is not the type of scent I usually go for but I think it is well blended. If you are after a jasmine white flower scent that is more gardenia/tuberose like you should try White Full instead.

I recently discovered arabian oils thanks to my wonderful fragrantica friends! Nadine was a blind buy for me and i do like it. It reminds me of something from the 80's but i just can't put my finger on it. I've never smelled cabotine so it's not that. I smell unidentifiable flowers, clove and honey. These perfumes smell different on everyone and i don't know if it's the way oud reacts on my skin but just about every arabian oil or spray that i have smells like there's clove in it. Luckily for me i love clove! Moderate longevity and moderate sillage. For the price it's definatly worth it. It smells more expensive than it is.

I agree that the notes for Nadine are way off. I get powdery rose, jasmine, and as someone said...face cream scent. A touch of oud develops after applying it, but not enough to qualify it as a woody scent to me. But it is lovely! I'm an 80's gal, and Nadine seems to be as well, so we get along! I also get many compliments on when I wear it. Today I wanted to play with this this scent a bit, and I layered it with a dupe of TF white patchouli...and wow! That elevated it to a whole other level. If you are looking to "ground" this scent a bit, try layering with something that has woods or patchouli.

mature face cream, white soap smell and something metallic. an easy dupe for cabotine its hard to wear this...hot weather would make this already strong scent go nuclear. in cold weather I pick up aldehydes/soapiness. this oddly reminds me of the bottom of my grandmothers purse; a melange of 80s white floral powerhouse perfumes, spilled powdered compacts and loose coin change. I can't say I would repurchase.

Sharp, citrusy rose on a clean sandalwood base. There's also a little mustiness - maybe that's the oud? I'm not familiar enough with oud to be sure. At any rate, it doesn't detract. This one is super strong and long-lasting, so start with tiny dabs. Like other Al Rehabs I've tried, it causes a headache if you use too much. I like the scent, but it's too strong for me.
