Oudy

Agarwood, Cedarwood & Sandalwood... This is a very woody fragrance! It's very woody but also soft, not strong or loud in any way. It's basically a mix of Oud wood (or Agarwood), and a bunch of other woody notes like Sandalwood, Cedarwood (a lot), and a little Saffron. It's quite nice. AlRehab perfumes are usually made of a good quality and lasting power at a low price. For what you pay for you actually get a lot more. It's a great bargain. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an authentic woody oriental with a hint of the middle east but at a very affordable price. I can see myself using this a lot in the cold weather. For the price it can't be beaten on value for money! Not too strong for people who don't like Oud, but instead a soft mix of woods and exotic incense. Very good, and recommended for a cheap, affordable bargain.

Oudy by al-rehab has two different versions it can be purchased in. The EDP spray, and the oil roll on. Each smells completely different. The oil is a nuclear Oud bomb! Its got that machine oil smell in the similar to Kilians Pure Oud and Kurkdjians Cashmere Oud. Longevity is excellent 8 hours +. Projection is not big at all, it is an oil. You will smell yourself, as will others close by. The spray is an absolute useless concoction. There is no Oud note here. It almost smells like a cheap sandalwood. Its such a timid composition, i sprayed 6 times, and i could barely smell it. Neither could the people around me. Its essentially a skin scent. Even still, it lasted a few hours and disappeared. Huge failure.

i got the mini oil. It's nice, VERY masculine, leathery, oily wood. It's basically the Nasomatto Black Afgano, but sweeter, and 1/100 the price. But maybe about 1/2 the strength and projection. It has a dusty dry quality, I can smell the stringent Narcissus in the back, and a powdery musk, but not much more. I'm not getting much tobacco in this. Some will say the Agarwood smells sweaty or almost armpit like. Sillage: light, not a musk bomb like the other oils. Longevity: dries down to a soft powderyness.

Oudy is a moderately strong blend of classic oud, saffron and incense/woody notes. It's definitely a "warm" fragrance and for those who have not yet learned the love of oud accords, it might require some consideration. I love it (male and a life-long fragrance obsession). It blows Le Labo's plastic-smelling oud out of the water as far as I'm concerned and costs about 95% less. I ordered mine from al-rashad.com and was pleased with the quick service and delivery.

Worn lightly (two sprays from distance) this is a wonderful, dark and mysterious unisex scent. Truly alluring. Four sprays from close range and we have an entirely different beast. The oud and musk are pheromonal, surrounded by deep, smoked tobacco; burning sandalwood incense; the leather of an old biker jacket and old motor oil. Yet it's never in your face or overly aggressive. The more I wear Oudy in either dose the more I love it.

Butiful but not a performance monster . If you want more you can get kalimat by swiss arabian or sultan al oud by this company....but this is a brilliant tobacco amber oudh combo that is a bit nasomato and a bit kalimat in a masterfully way .. To my humble opinion ..it sit close but lives a nice trail for 30 m to an hour but last as a skin scent ...on my son in..i am happy with this.

A great fragrance . I've been wearing oud fragrances for the best part of 30 years and I must say this is such a great perfume for its price. this smells better than some of the top end £200 - £300 oud based frags I've smelled over the years. A great intro for anyone looking to get into oud scents

This is very similar to montale dark aoud. I was thinking of buying montale but after comparing a sample of montale with the al rehab I already have it would not be advisable. Oudy smells so close to montale dark aoud it would be redundant.

I have the alcohol perfume version and its fantastic. wood, tobacco, cedar. Non floral, unisex. Blends well with other perfumes as well, especially coffee, caramel and vanilla.

[This review is for the 35ml spray version of Oudy, which I understand can be a very different experience from the attar.] I now own quite a few Al Rehabs - Superman, Sultan, Sultan Al Oud, Dehn Al Oud among many others - and I have yet to find one I really dislike. Some are a bit dull, but nothing flat out offensive. Sultan Al Oud is borderline amazing. Dehn Al Oud is a bit on the barn-yardy side, so it's a bit challenging though not terrible -- but that's fodder for another review. As others have pointed out, Oudy does come out of the gate a bit like Sultan Al Oud, in that it's kind of a harmonious and clean take on oud that immediately draws you in for more. But, where Sultan Al Oud veers in the direction of a lovely spiced cedar/oud, this one goes in more of a well-harnessed floral/tobacco oud direction. The tobacco is more flower than leaf to my nose, and is almost imperceptible. The overall effect is a bit hard to describe, except to say it's very clean and inviting, kind of a "shower fresh" or "laundry sheet" oud, if that makes any sense. Oudy behaves politely, with moderate projection and sillage at most. Jury's out on longevity, but my instincts tell me this will give me a good 4-6 hours at arm's length or a bit less. I'm okay with that. Not a bad return for a $9 investment. I have a fairly huge collection, and I can honestly say that this will get worn. Al Rehab is legit.

After owning Oudy for a year or so, my impression of it has changed somewhat. First off, it is definitely much more polite than most Al Rehabs -- meaning, it emits more of a whisper than a scream. Which is more good than bad. But also, the way it opens up on the skin leaves me in disbelief about its note pyramid. The wood is less Oud than it is palo santo to my nose. Kind of similar to a certain facet of Penhaligon's Agarbathi in this way. I get a very slightly dirty/sweet vibe from it as well, which I suppose can be a combo of the costus and broom. No neroli, not much tobacco, unless it's tobacco flower. Very pleasant and easy to wear (and yes, somehow "shower fresh"), not at all what I would expect from either the name "Oudy" or the note pyramid. Overall, great value and something I can enjoy wearing just about any time. It's a win.

I'm surprised no one has picked up on the similarity with Tom Ford Tobacco Oud. They both share 2 prominent notes. This does not have the whiskey opening or the authentic pipe tobacco note but settles to more or less the same dry down. Longevity and sillage are poor. It is pretty much a skin scent from the moment you apply. This is a shame as the overall scent is quite enjoyable. The oil version is super rare. Ebay is the only place I can find a bottle for sale at £50 for a 6 ml bottle! At that price I would rather purchase a decant of Tobacco Oud! In regards to similarities with Black Afghano- there are little to none. They are both resinous, smokey scents but the similarities end there. I also own Sultan Al Oud and Oudy is much sharper in it's scent profile than Sultan Al Oud which is softer and muskier.

I think Oudy from Al-Rehab is nice and easy introduction to oud-fragrances for some people (I know they still exist!) who are not familiar with oud YET) Its linear and simple, apart of oud I smell wood, might be cedar, might be just "woody notes". Has light smoky vibe. Minus - less lasting as other Al-Rehabs on me, talking about spray here, might be that oil is stronger. Association - dark brown heavy curtains on the window, fireplace and Natacha Atlas is singing

Exactly what I was looking for: an oud-forward woody thing that conjures images of incense shops in Cairo. Alone, it's warm, vanillic, and smoky; layered, it can turn my green stuff into full forests. I've got it on with Kenzo Homme Boisee right now and 3 people have complimented it. Besides! It's $9 for 35 ml on al-Rashad! Amazing deal.

This is a seriously potent oud scent! The tobacco note adds a really nice smoky depth, and it's surprisingly sweet without being overly gourmand. Lasts forever too!

This is an absolute oud perfume, the EDP version is very light and has weak sillage and longevity.

Update: this has started giving me a headache. :/ terrible longevity on the skin, but stays in clothing FOREVER. In terms of scent it's alright, a bit too synthetic though.

A dark, resinous, synthetic skin scent that disappears within 2 hours. Still, better than you'd expect for $6, I guess.

you might need to let this mature after spraying a few sprays. this pairs well with something sweet, warm and vanilla.

Leaving my previous review below for posterity, but this one quickly become a LOVE. I have 2 more bottles on the way. This is a study in how much a scent can quickly change when you get some air in the bottle. I know it's somewhat controversial, but I've observed this happen with more than a few new bottles, especially base note driven fragrances. Maturation (not to be confused with maceration which takes place before the bottle is even shipped out) is very real, based on my observations and anecdotal experience. First off, the color of the juice ripened from a pale yellow, to a robust golden color after getting some oxygen in. With it, the base notes also ripened and melded with the light floral, tobacco-ish hay notes. Gone is the thin, alcohol sting at the open, and it dives immediately into what is a rather simple, and linear experience. The name might be Oudy, but Oud-ish would be more appropriate. It's deceptively fresh (in a way I haven't experienced with other fragrances), with a scent that reminds me of a sunny fresh early summer breeze swaying through golden grasses. In more direct terms, I think this driven by the listed musk, broom, and neroli, even though I wouldn't describe this as floral. It mixes well and quickly with the base notes of very faint oud-ish wood, sandalwood, and almost a warm dry cedar. The sandalwood impression reads as dry and not milky, buttery, or sweet. The result is a very warm, smooth, and bright wood concoction that is relaxing and light, without being sharp and driven by amberwoods or iso e. Like many scents, it smells better in the air, as the musk note is a bit strong sniffed up close. I love to use this as an evening room spray as well, but it works great on my skin as well. I think this could work year round, as it has both fresh lighter notes, in addition to deeper base notes that don't come across as thick or heavy. A steal for the price, and will satisfy those looking for a simple, linear scent that is in the medium range for performance and feel. It likely won't satisfy the most discerning noses who are ok paying a premium for the absolute best, but for those who are open to a range and can look beyond the marketing and luxury smoke and mirrors. Oudy could offer huge value as stand alone scent, a great layering tool, or even a room/linen spray. Even the funky little frosted glass bottle has grown on me, as it is actually ergonomically perfect to hold, at least for my hand. Very well done little utility scent, that eschews the luxury hype and delivers for those with an open mind.

This review is for the EDT. It has no scent other than a very faint oud/tobacco vibe similar to a recently emptied cedar cigar box. The scent itself would be decent and certainly masculine, but it's so faint I can barely smell it. It lasts a few minutes of sillage and then it turns into a skin scent in which I have to bury my nose in my hand to smell it. Very disappointed. Maybe I got a bad batch because some people here are claimining it's strong with good projection and sillage. I could care less about the projection, but I at least want to smell it on me for a few hours. I considered buying the Oudy roll-on oil to combine with the EDT, but I decided not to bother. As far as this smelling like oud, it really does! It's like becoming up a piece of oud and smelling it in your hand while holding a bit of tobacco. Indeed, although faint, you can definitely detect the oud. I just wish it was stronger. . Although my experience with Oudy was negative. I'm very pleased with Al Rehab as a fragrance house. I really enjoy their colognes Superman and Golden - both are amazing values and very different. Superman is as masculine as you'll find in a man's fragrance. It's a perfect autumn scent for the fall. It does have lots of clove however, so you better like clove like the kind in a Bay Rum.. otherwise don't buy it. Superman reminds me of John Sebastian, the 1970's powerhouse. Al Rehab Golden is advertised as a gourmand, but it's more of a floral spicy fragrance. More unisex for sure than the Superman. Both are excellent and you won't find a better value IMO. I have not yet tried Silver, but the first warm day this Spring you can bet Silver will be given a full day wearing. I here it's one of their more popular fragrances so I'm looking forward to the meeting with Silver. All in all, give Al Rehab a try. Don't let the low prices scare you away. Don't let the negative reviews here from perfume snobs make you miss out on some very unique traditional Middle Eastern scents. Other than Oudy, I've been pleasantly surprised with the house. Update 12/3/24: I maybe jumped the gun on this one. It's starting to come together with some air in the bottle, and the deeper facets are starting to show their head. Will update and potentially edit this review completely if this trend continues. After being blown away by Sultan Al Oud, I decided to try Oudy in the spray format (can no longer find the oil roll on). Incredibly underwhelmed. We'll see if it just needs some time, but first few sprays I'm hit with overwhelming alcohol. Almost like there are no top notes at all to mask the unbridled prickle of pure alcohol. After that it dries down to a very light, and albeit pleasant, barely there oud + wood-ish smell. Super faint. I get a very strong musk or other synthetic fixative that reminds me a bit of Afnan Tribute Blue. I don't care for this cutting note, and the woody earthy notes I was searching for just are not present enough. Whereas Sultan Al Oud is spicy, oudy, and very smooth, this is super light and has a sharp synthetic note that sticks out to my nose, with none of the depth I was looking for. I think my expectations were too high after Sultan Al Oud, but I am still curious to try a few other Ouds from Al Rehab, as I think the cheap price point and huge variety makes these a fun curiosity. Otherwise, I'm with the numerous other reviewers here, and agree that the spray EDP Oudy can be skipped.

I was after this perfume for a while. I first discovered it in an air freshener version. When I sprayed the room with it, the scent was so amazing and stunning, that I immediately wanted a perfume version of it. Oudy is smoky and to my nose dark, but in a deeply seductive way. It has a very 'eastern' vibe to it, and it smells very exotic to me! I asked my partner to try this on, and I have to say it smelt amazing on him, so much so, that I couldn't help but want to sniff him often! It is both a masculine scent, but I would say it would also suit women. In fact I would wear this perfume if I wanted to seduce somebody, as it is classy, elegant, sophisticated, dark and sexual on a deeper level than just lust. When I say dark I mean it is dark on a deep and profound level-if that makes any sense. If there was a woman that was described as elegant and sultry-this would be the perfume she would wear. Only thing being I purchased a spray and not an oil, I can imagine it would be pretty strong in the oil version. I highly recommend this perfume, of course not everybody would like it, but it's worth the blind buy as despite the low price, it smells like a perfume that costs around £300!

This scent is by far my favorite oud thus far. I got the 6 spray bottle volume discount from Al Rashad. Unfortunately the longevity of this is non-existent. I'm desperately looking for something that is as close as possible to this scent but has about a Lattafa Raghba Wood Intense sillage and longevity (or better if course). Carlysfx1 (sounds like you know this category well) if you or anyone else can recommend something especially in the Lattafa/Al Rehab price range I would GREATLY appreciate it. I mean Lattafa has like 20 or more ouds; do they ALL go for the candy smell or are any like this (oud, musk, flower, and gasoline=perfection...and no caramel or licorice make believe oud). Also, synthetic doesn't bother me at all if it is mixed as well as this Oudy. But obviously with a volume discount or cheap enough per bottle price I definitely recommend this for at least a one time purchase to see what ought to be the gold standard just with bigger waves. Hope I don't have to shell out Montale Black Aoud big bucks on the regular for a signature scent but sounds from the other reviews as though I might.

This review is for the attar version. Delicious!!! Blackest, muckiest oud, smoky birch tar, blackest patchouli, cumin, cedar, sandalwood, black deer musk, Indian amber, saffron, clove, and I believe there's a facet of civet (or something else that's deep and animalic) in there! This is superb, and my new all-time favourite, by Al Rehab! The cumin, cedar, clove, patchouli, and birch are what make this fragrance so interesting! So smoky, earthy, resinous, funky, and mysterious. This one is filthy and earthy, yet smooth - it dries down into a gorgeous, smoky, cumin-tinged patchouli sandalwood musk. If you're a seeker of flowers and fluff, this will smell exactly like a billy goat that took a bath in bongwater, and then went for a dry sauna, to you! 😆 As for me, I LOVE it!

Sexy Victorian vampire that just emerged from its crypt deep in an old church. That is Oudy by Al-Rehab in a nutshell. Perfectly unisex, this fragrance is commanding, seductive, rich and attention-grabbing. It’s sharp at first, but quickly mellows into a warm, inviting scent that I can only describe as previously. Oud is, of course, the star, but on me, I detect an incensy, slightly boozy vanilla - just a hint. Whenever I wear it, it’s a huge compliment-getter by men and women. For me, it was a blind buy, but unless you REALLY love oud, it may not be a safe one for you. It smells incredibly sexy on men too - it’s a real chameleon.

Just got this in. I first ordered Sultan al Oud a couple of weeks back and was very impressed so I made another order which I received today and Oudy was one of the three I ordered along with Sultan (already reviewed this and wearing it today - see my review on Sultan) and Dehn al Oud. I haven't tested Oudy yet, but just sniffing the bottle it smells ALOT like Sultan al Oud - which is not a bad thing but I am hoping for something different. Maybe on the skin is a different story altogether. I will update once I try this one out. By the way, all these are for the oil roll-on, NOT sprayer.

I bought the oil from the al rehab website. it is obviously very oudy as its name suggests and I fund it rather intruiging but my husband says it smells like cow poo. to me it smells like patchouli oil. I wear it mixed with a perfume parlour version of tom fords café rose

Today I purchased oudy al rehab for 5 $ and two weeks ago purchased Polo supreme oud from dubai duty free for 125$ oudy 35ml and Polo 120ml.but the smell is about same . longevity is more than Polo and the silage is superb.

“Wait, what was that noise? Growling?? The wind???” This is the scent of the beast that wanders the Black Forest after midnight. Rarely spotted, until it comes to feed - but by then, you know it is too late...

There is something pleasant here reaching for air, but it is being drowned out by the scent of a Sharpie marker, gasoline and exhaust. Don't bother with this and just skip straight to the lovely Sultan Al Oud.

Al-Rehab Oudy reminds me in some ways of a fragrance website used to push political propaganda. It's unfortunate to see the owners of the site treat it the way Ukrainian forces treated the Moskva.

Someone in the reviews below stated this perfume contained black deer musk. Is this true? Does Al-Rehab use real deer musk? I would be grateful if anyone can enlighten me.
