Rawan

It reminds me Of my old favourite Rome by Laura Biagiotti, I thought my main attraction to Rome was some spicy element but the common ingredients are: Sandalwood, Amber, Jasmine, Vanilla. I will need to use this for some time to find out what’s going on here, who knows a new favourite? ( add black currant and maybe hyacinth elsewhere...although there are list of items in Rome that I don’t know how they smell on their own... scent journey continues..mysteries unravelling... Edit: few hours later after applying it on my arm, it was smelling classy and something you would wear like for a job interview in the early hours, now the Rome scent has receded quite a lot and has metamorphosed into more like a manly scent, I’m now thinking this would be better for a man unless I layered it, also it seems to smell stronger now than originally maybe because of the male scent has come out. It’s not a bad scent but it’s not like Rome anymore it’s a scent of its own and rather masculine >unisex that I could still wear but would probably have to experiment with layering but not sure with what... also it’s almost turned into headache inducing, what a strange development in the scent. It’s probably again the case of attar,where you need to let it mature and grow on you gradually and familiarise oneself with patiently. It’s not a write-off, at least yet. Note to self: apply just a tiny amount!!!

I agree that al rehab fragrances are little treasures and there are numerous al rehabs that I like.rawan is among my most favorite al rehabs list.I simply love it! I also own and love D&G pour femme and while I can easily detect similarities,I don't see them as twins.I can easily recognize which is which.pour femme is more marshmallowy and fluffy while rawan is more creamy and has more fruity undertone specially when first sprayed.it becomes closer to D&G pour femme in it's drydown as it gets a tad powdery I highly recommend all gourmand lovers,also vanilla lovers to try rawan.it's sweet but not childish and it's delightful. it's wearable year round except hot summer days and is more feminine IMO.longevity is very good and sillage is satisfying.it's only downside is that I usually have difficulty in spraying my bottle of rawan but other than that everything's great.it could pass as a feminine xerjofff! Edit: Longevity isn't just very good.it's extraordinary!it lasts 2days plus on my skin! Creamy vanilla,soft powdery deliciousness which lasts for ages,it worthes a hunderd times more than it's price tag!

I have it in 50ml bottle with spray. it really smells like D&G Pour Femme but I like Rawan even better! I can't detect most of the mentioned notes. just a cloud of fluffy vanilla, marshmallow, some orange flower and just a touch of nondescript fruits. I find D&G Pour Femme more powdery and it's raspberry note sometimes feels too synthetic. Rawan feels more balanced and more expensive smelling! which is ironic. also longevity and sillage are much better بشدت شبیه دی اند جی پورفم هست ولی بهتر و بالانس تر. شیرینی سبک و پنبه ای مارشمالو و وانیل درکنار شکوفه پرتقال و یه رایحه محو میوه ای طور. خیلی دوس داشتنی و همه پسند و خوش بازخورده. موندگاری و پخش بوش هم از دی اند جی پورفم بهتره

This is really nice! My sniff test said vanilla, twangy fruit and floral...I was pretty close! Passion fruit is tangy, kind of citrusy but sweet. I'm surprised this is described as unisex though. It is pretty feminine. I'm pretty sure my man would not agree to wear it if asked. Overall, it's a love for me..as mentioned before, you don't have to swim through the medicinal oud or resins to get to the heart. ❤️

** This review is for Rayan Black (not listed)** Rayan Black is potent, sweet and lovely. It's like a blend of Mugler's A*men, Animale Animale and Ted Lapidus' pour Lui. Very cheap on Amazon too. It lasts all day and had excellent sillage. Well worth a try!

I've had this fragrance for about a year and a half. I also have dolce and gabanna pour femme, the two are identical! Unfortunately I've gone off d&g pour femme a bit but when I was really into it I would always smear loads of this on to make it last

Let this one develop on your skin. You get a layer of tropical jam, then you get a layer of delicious marzipan, then a layer of shortbread cookie. Basically that's the sequence of the Rawan. I get 5-6 hours. Perfect for summer. Enjoy

I bought Rawan because reviewers mentioned it's similarity to D&G femme. At this inexpensive price tag for these great oils, definitely this was worth a try. I really like Rawan and like other Al Rehabs, it is growing on me the more I wear it. I'm finding that snap decisions "do not a proper over-all opinion make" as I've found with many other perfumes I own. Then I noticed that Rawan was likened to the current D&G femme formulation and that many mentions of marshmallows were noted. The D&G femme of my experience had not so much marshmallow but THAT BASIL thing was what grabbed me! Wow-zuh it was good stuff. This was the late 90's when I first smelled D&G femme on a friend from Boston. I ended up buying a mini gift set. So that being said, Rawan does perhaps recapture the essence of the newer D&G which I have not smelled yet. As I wore Rawan the last time (in oil formula) I could kind -of-sort-of grasp a bit of that picture of how this reaches into that territory. Six degrees of separation perhaps. In and of itself, I'm starting to go from like to love on Rawan and if it follows suit with my other purchases like Golden Sand and Fantastic and Choco-Musk it will become a much loved regular perfume in my rotation.

Rawan is very very sweet. I would guess vanilla custard first, followed by some fruit, maybe guava, maybe that "vanilla orchid" note, but predominately sugary and with a headache strength that truly nauseated me on the first wearing. The next time I tried it I layered just a tiny bit down on my leg, away from my face, and it added a tropical sweetness to my citrusy scent that was nice and not cloying as it was before. Still I have to be careful with this one. This is a familiar scent, so I have no doubt it is probably a dupe for the D&G, but I haven't directly sampled it. Just guessing it is since it smells familiar to my scent memory. In fact, right before I got a splitting headache, I thought, "Smells like a rich girl." While I think this is a quality, potent perfume, it is too sweetly cloying for me, especially in summer. It works as a layering scent though, and if sweet tropical sounds good to you, these Al-Rehab oils are really worth the try.

sweet raspberry donut with citrus glaze! I know there's no raspberry listed in the notes here, but I get a lotttt of it throughout the wear of this perfume (could it be the passionfruit? who knows, it's beautiful either way). there's a powdery vanilla here that is really enjoyable, almost like baby lotion or something. like other reviewers, my bottle is dated 2014 & arrived to me leaking, but it smells normal; I can smell the carrier oil itself underneath the fragrance, but it doesn't smell old or expired to me...maybe it's just a manufacturer issue? I put some on to try before I went to bed, and I can still smell it on me after waking up. i know it's popular to layer perfumes on top of oils like this one, but honestly I think this does a better job on its own (if only it were made in a perfume spray!). I got my rollerball for about $7, and for that price it really can't be beat.

This is a sweeter, smoother take on D&G Pour Femme. I did a side by side test and preferred Rawan. D&G Pour Femme was one of the first mainstream perfumes that got my attention as a perfume newbie. Around that time I bought Escada Cherry in the Air, I liked Angel EDT, was obsessed with Bond I Love NY For Her, and desperately desired Tom Ford Noir de Noir. My tastes and tolerances have changed quite a bit. I have a great dupe of NdN, but the rest of those fragrances I might crave once or twice a year. Pour Femme is just harsh to my nose. A bit too high pitched. Rawan softens the harsh edges but keeps the unmistakeable characteristic scent--fluffy, sweet, a bit chilly.

Beautiful! Not a what I'd consider a 'traditional' Arabian fragrance as I don't detect any oud, resins, or spices in here. But as other reviewers pointed out, it is very reminiscent of D & G Pour Femme, or even more so of Jeanne Arthes Fuel Power, if you're familiar with that one. It opens with bright orange/citrusy notes and then softens quickly into a creamy tropical dessert. I plan on layering this under Fuel Power to give it better longevity. Delicious!

A tart little dessert. People are saying macaroons—I’ve never had one so I don’t know but it sounds right! Sweet with a little tartness, not too creamy. I feel like this would layer beautifully with Yara, maybe the orchid in both of them? I don’t know my flowers but I smell a little bit of floral, very feminine. I like it a lot and will be testing it more in the heat this summer

This is a cute scent. After the olive oil type opening it blossoms into, just what a previous commenter says a beautiful macaroon. I just had my first experience with macaroons, and when I put this on it took me back to my first bite into the dark purpley pink one😋 this is delicious, and perfect for casual fun or cozy nights in. Def a keeper.

The opening is kind of pungent (like most Al-Rebab oils) but after 10 minutes I get a puffy sweet marshmallow with a hint of almond, like a vanilla macaroon almost. I like to layer it with other perfumes to add sweetness and longevity. The projection is not strong but longevity is 5+ hours.

Rawan is a lovely soft scent! The vanilla and powder notes are definitely the stars here, creating a warm and comforting aura. It's sweet but not overly sugary, with a touch of fruitiness from the passionfruit that adds a nice brightness. Perfect for everyday wear.

I've tried about twenty Al-Rehab roll-ons and Rawan is one of the few that I really like. Comfortingly sweet.

Quite nice. Sweet almond fruity. Not offensive. Super affordable.

This, to me, is a clone of Dolce & Gabbana's Pour Femme. The translucent burgundy bottle. The difference is Rawan is oily & more cloying. *Shout-out to 'Omae'* If you are trying to extend the life on your D&G and don't mind rich sweetness. Here she is. Thank for adding it Fragrantica and 'drugtore classics for deciphering what's what.

IMO this is a terrible scent that smells such as aquarium glue. this is my baddest scent ever smelled. very bad. thanks god i wasted just 1 buck. this does'nt cost even 1 buck.

Unfortunately I had the same experience with the oil version as a couple of other reviewers - just smells like olive oil to me. So this one is a nope.

Rawan smells like the initial spray of D&G Pour Femme on steroids from beginning to end, lol. Unfortunately for me, I don’t like the initial spray of D&G Pour Femme so I don’t like Rawan. There’s something about it that I find off putting on my skin & I believe it’s the neroli in Pour Femme so it may be the citrus note in this. It becomes a bit animalic on my skin in the dry down as well (possibly due the musk note). Not for me.

Meeting another Al Rehab is always an adventure for me. Will this be an Arabian style powerhouse, a western themed smell alike, or a melding of the two? These little treasures say 'Surprise!', and do it very nicely. ;) Rawan is a tropical themed scent, heavy on Guava, citrus, florals, and sunshine. Pretty, pleasing, and not what we think of as Arabic in style at all. Rather better than the average celeb scent, though with many of the same notes. I see women buying Rawan, though as with almost every scent from Al Rehab, layering could easily give this a more traditionally masculine edge. In that case, I'd suggest adding Khaliji or even Dakkar. You never know what can happen - magic, possibly.... All in all, another 'surprisingly' good scent the budget house of Al Rehab! Some people believe that merely because a fragrance is inexpensive it must necessarily be cheap smelling. That expensive ingredients obviously will not be used does not discourage me from trying such a bargain. Why? Because their absence is quite common in more expensive releases! And I don't expect a 3 dollar roll on to smell of niche quality ingredients, any more than most designer fragrances do. Take them for what they are - fun on the cheap! - and you will have some charming surprises from budget houses like Al Rehab, Nabeel, and Al Haramain.

I haven’t tried Dolce pour femme yet but if this is any indication of how it smells like then i think i must have that in my life. I got my rawan in rollerball oil form and it is instant love at first sniff. It doesn’t smell like any of my perfume collection. There is something sweet and creamy custard like scent that is very addicting to my nose. It’s quite light but i could still catch wafts of it especially when i put some on my hair as well. The fruity almond vanilla smells delicious to my nose. I saw another similar fragrance from Armaf which is the Italianno Donna. It has positive reviews as well. Now i am torn if i should get dolce pour femme or donna. But nevertheless, i am excited to compare if i ever purchase any of those.

I have a tester spray of D&G Pour Femme edp. Side by side these smell identical. Rawan is a little more harsh in the opening, but after 10 minutes, it is practically the same. I forgot which section of my arm I sprayed D&G and applied Rawan. I could not tell which was which as they sort of merged together. I really like it. Can be a bit sweet and a tad cloying, but great before bed, or for times when I’m lounging around, cleaning, or running errands; basically times when I am not closed in around people for too long. Perhaps apply in tad amounts and it can be an everyday anywhere scent.

I am quickly falling in love with these wonderful little perfume oils that are so inexpensive and fun. Rawan doesn't pack as much of a punch as some of the other oils from this line, although many of these last for ages on your skin- a great value. After Rawan settles into your skin you get almond tropical fruit and creamy vanilla. Very nice and comforting especially if you just want to smell delicious and not overpower anyone. Definitely worth trying for the mere price of approx $6.00 on ebay. Probably a good layering fragrance as well. Enjoy.

Frangipani isn't listed, but I'm getting that plus the passion fruit layered over a soapy musk. It's a pretty scent, however it smells very similar (65%?) to scents I already own which have a similar frangipani fruit accord, namely Jil Sander Sun Delight, and also the original Sun. Closer to Delight, but either way, too similar to make this a go-to pick. I bought the oil so at least it was only 7$. Might layer it with Mix:bar Whipped Almond. Longevity is low, 3-4 hours. Not much projection being an oil.

I have the oil and it was a scrubber. To be fair, I may have got a bad oil. It never turned into anything that remotely smells like the notes. It smelled like pure olive oil going on. My bottle did leak. So this is just based on my singular experience. I thought I’d put that out there in case you get one that leaks and doesn’t smell right. It might not be the fragrance at all. It may have gone rancid.

From the bottle I get a little bit of the passionfruit and a very dirty jasmine, but it smells primarily like rancid olive oil. Zero vanilla. Doesn't really change on skin either. I'm guessing I got a bad bottle from eBay, it's dated 2014. I really wanted to like this one, if anyone can point me to a reliable retailer for this fragrance I'd appreciate a DM!

It's really nice, after 10 minutes. It burns away after a few hours, you don't have to be sparing with it, it leaves a beautiful vanilla skin scent. Better than i expected,nice and a bit old school.

I think I got a bad oil because this stuff smelled rancid from start to finish. Smells nothing like any of the notes. It literally makes me gag. If yours smells this awful, you’re not alone.
