Red Rose

This review is for the 6ml rollon oil. I purchased this at my local Arabian perfume store, gave it away, then purchased it again. It's so not me, and yet I'm compelled to own it and wear it (which I'm doing again today). Primarily, this is a great fragrance for layering . . . at least for me. I love to layer these oils, and this is a definite "Western" scent from this fantastic maker of budget oils. As with all of the Al-Rehab oils I've ever used, these bloom better in a bit of heat (rather in the winter or the AC). In the AC, it leans a bit medicinal and steryl. But this is exactly what I think of when I think of a makeup scent. It's probably the only makeup scent I've ever really enjoyed. I'm talking a straight powdery, slightly scented, non-sweet compact that broke open inside my handbag and makes the whole thing and everything inside smell like this. I get the rose, and I even get the illusion of vanilla, but I get those secondarily. The most notable part of this scent is the powder. Thinking it was going to behave and be fairly light, I put a generous double layer of oil on, rubbing it in after each application. In hindsight, I could probably have used one application (on my chest and neck) and it would have been plenty. But I don't feel that it was overwhelming. I chose this perfume because I was going to be teaching in a fairly small room, one-on-one music lessons. I briefly wondered if it would bother my student, but she seemed fine with it (and this is a student I've spoken to about perfume before, so she would probably have mentioned if it bothered her or if she really noticed it). I assume it smelled stronger to me because it is so close to my nose. This is a clean and crisp scent, but also has warmth to it. I think it would layer well with Dalal or Soft or other sweet-leaning scents. It would probably also be quite nice with a leathery or vintage floral scent. But on its own, it's quite effective as well. I'm very happy that I own this.

Extremely strong & long lasting!! It's very calm & will envelop you slowly with a pleasant bearable smell that will stick to you for minutes if you talked to someone wearing it & left. Why bearable? Because unlike sprays that have been mixed with alcohol, perfume oils doesn't have that unbearable opening blast. Red Rose smells like a very pleasant body lotion-type of smell with a very strong rose mixed with vanilla equally. The balance is beautiful and smells very mature, sophisticated & womanly, perfect for evening dates. Projection: Fills a room during the first 4 to 5 hours. Then goes to an astounding arm's length for the rest of it's fragrance life. Sillage: It's so solid & thick that it just seems like it makes the air you breathe completely change into a more pleasant type of oxygen. Brush up on it slightly on yourself by passing by someone wearing it & you'll carry the scent for over 10 seconds. Can't notice a scent 'cloud' with it because it just seems to 'blend' with air and will slowly spread very far. Longevity: Lasts until you take a shower, and afterwards you'll still be able to pick up it's scent if you bury your nose onto the spots where you applied it. Versatility: 10 stars, seems to be suitable for any kind of occasion, like how you'll seem alluring in evenings wearing a dress having a candle-lit dinner. And will plainly seem pleasant and friendly during the daytime at work or school. Unisex but leaning WAY more towards females. Would probably suit men if they're the type that nurtures their gardens or whatever makes it seem not unusual for men to smell like this. It's mature, if you're still somewhat childish you'll only seem like you're wearing something that just doesn't fit your personality & that will put people off. Bought this in early 2014 :) It makes a lovely little souvenier or present for someone special.

My oil roll-on arrived this morning. I already own many Al Rehab's, but this one escaped me before - don't know how! As I already had my chosen perfume applied before this arrived, I gave the back of my hand a couple of swipes with this and rubbed it in. For a start, it was a little metallic, but within 10 minutes, that wore off, and a soft, sweet violet started to creep through. I have to say, I was surprised as I expected rose. I went out shopping in a very brisk, cold wind and all I could smell was sweet violets wafting around me; it was lovely. By the time I returned home, the perfume had amped up and I couldn't smell my original perfume at all. The violet had gone creamy and powdery and some white flowers had joined in. Still no rose. I don't know what Kenzo Flower smells like, and I don't care. This is delightful and my new favourite Al Rehab. Update: I found the rose, hiding around 10 hours in, very soft and gentle, like a will o'the wisp of roses. February 9th: Have ordered 2 more roll-on oils of this - I've nearly used all my first one ad I really can't be without this one. I think this was made just for me. Just a note for anyone looking for a true rose perfume: I have never found one more pure than Paul Smith Rose. I always get compliments on it, and I only wear it in the spring and summer, but it's the best rose perfume I've ever come across. Just off to order some more Red Rose from Al Rehab.

Beautiful, delightful scent. It's clean but slightly sweet, it is quite strong and lasts for hours on end. Despite being super cheap, it is of high quality. It's powdery and soapy. It's like an expensive laundry detergent but better. The rose is certainly there. I love this type of scent. My job involves being physically close to many people all the time so I make sure to smell good while avoiding offensive scents. This is exactly the type of scent that works great for me. However, some of the liquid in my bottle seemed to evaporate over time. I knew how often I used it and how many sprays I usually used. It was very bizarre and frustrating. I also have "Sultan" and it seems to have the same problem. I just want to be able to enjoy all of it. This is the only reason I wouldn't repurchase. Other than that, it is a stunning fragrance that is really easy to like. I hope to find something similar one day. It is also very dear to me because I got it a month before the pandemic completely ruined everything. I miss not being extremely mentally ill. This fragrance takes me back to the times I had no idea how dire things would get.

I absolutely love Red rose and have searched all around for a bottle in Ohio when I ran out, I don't go for names or price if it works it works...That being said this works for me and not because of the price. This scent is feminine and has a slight sweet but powdery note which I adore! The main thing that drew me to this fragrance was yhat is was lite and non offensive and could be worn as an everyday scent, My body chemistry loves this fragrance and so does my nose, I don't smell much vanilla but I do get whiffs here and there combined with a light powdery note which keeps this scent going strong all day without having to spray more, The sillage on me is good Incan smell it in my clothes and on my skin the next day. Ths perfume can be worn all year around, it has a nice fresh pleasant smell but not soapy or laundry. I absolutely adore it♡

For the 6 ml roll-on oil. First try: Couldn't wait, took a first sniff from the roller-ball: freshly ground rosépepper with a nip of white pepper and cloves, along with carnation, violets and quite powerful powdery notes. On my skin initially: spicy Rosépepper again, along with carnation and violets, and powdery notes. After about 30 mins. Lovely creamy amber, powdery notes, violets and a whisk of white musk. In the background, almost hovering a few feet from my arm, a faint rose note. Stays like this for a few hours. Up until 8-9 hrs longevity, sillage moderate and at the end with very pleasant skin scent of white musk, faint rose and vanilla. A very pleasant experience throughout. Second and third try: OMG! I am totally in love with this, especially the rose hovering over my arm. Love it! First Al-Rehab try, but definitely not my last.

I am so pleased I found this fragrance. It has cemented its place as one of my favourites, comparable to expensive fragrances at a tiny fraction of the price. I have the oil version and the longevity is amazing. This is such a sweet, delightful and deep rose smell that made me love rose scents again (sorry Aqua Allegoria Rosa Pop but you ruined me for a bit). I adore the subtle hint of vanilla that makes this softly creamy. The comparisons to Flower by Kenzo are spot on! I wore Kenzo as a signature scent in my twenties, and this is definitely the lighter, more all-occasions version of it. I find this scent to be a warm yet light comforting rose. Sweet but not sickly or syrupy. Soft yet with great presence. It’s a straight up love for me, and it’s nice that it doesn’t break the bank like so many of my other loves.

Love! This is indeed very similar to Kenzo Flower, but Red Rose is softer, sweeter - and safer. Whether you like this twist on Kenzo or not, depends on your personal taste. Personally, I like it, although I find Kenzo has more character, but also a potential to be overwhelming and headache-inducing. I wore Red Rose in the evening and to bed last night, and I could still smell it in the morning. I practically smeared myself with it: wrists, neck, behind the ear, the back of my head below the hairline - but it never felt too heavy. It remains soft and enveloping like a powdery cloud. Sadly, for me it doesn't have big sillage. I am considering purchasing the spray version, because based on the reviews here it is supposed to have more sillage. This review is for the oil.

Totally loving this... I should have said yes earlier when someone offered to swap this with me.. well I think they said it just smells of rose, and that kind of put me off. But now that I have tried this out, I can say that for my nose that isn't exactly correct. It more smells of sweet rose powder which is a totally different thing. I am reminded of Ombre Rose a little, but I find Red Rose more vanilla ish and sweeter and less aldehydic (not sure if any Al Rehabs use aldehydes at all). Update: meanwhile I have also surrended to buying Kenzo Flower EDP and I must say that Al Rehab Red Rose is a pretty good approximation. Red Rose is less complex, it resembles the dry down phase of Flower in my opinion.

This is incredibly powdery, dry, pure powder. The scent of "feeling clean and well-groomed". Kind of sweet, but only little... It is indeed reminescent of cosmetic products for babies, but sometimes it also smells like pages of old glossy magazines to me. I remember the scent from the past. I love it, it has something addictive to it. It seems to be quite potent, but I love wearing it before sleep anyway. I have the perfume oil, roll on version. UPDATE: This became my go-to-perfume for wearing at home. :) Very comforting, pure aromatherapy. I can smell it around myself as day goes by.

J'adorais Flower by Kenzo, le parfum signature de ma mère qui m'évoquais des souvenirs heureux. Un parfum simple et coquet dans lequel je retrouvais mes notes préférées. Malheureusement, j'ai l'impression que la composition de ce parfum iconique a changé. Il laisse une odeur tenace de plastique qui me monte à la tête et me donne la nausée. J'avais entendu parler de Red Rose comme un très bon dupe de FbK, avant le changement de composition. Eh bien je ne suis pas déçue! Je retrouve tout le plaisir et la nostalgie de FbK sans la note industrielle plastiquée. Je recommande ce parfum!

I had before Kenzo-Flower but I wasn`t crazy about it just because I am a fan of very strong perfumes. After I`ve read some reviews I purchased a roll of Red rose -AL rehab to see if I like and if really resemble with Kenzo...and is the same...maybe a bit stronger and I adore it from the moment I applied it. Now I purchased 2 bottles of 35ml spray of AL rehab just because I like more to sprayed on me than the oils....and for sure I will buy the original as well because is an amazing perfume, but maybe when I owned I was way too young.

Где мы встречались раньше я так и не поняла, но они навеяли воспоминания о первом разрезанном торте. Когда ты маленький, мама помогает резать торт, но когда тебе лет пять, мама прзволяет разрезать самостоятельно. Тот торт был в виде медведя (вроде торта - черепашки, плоский медведь) весь в кремовых цветах. Эти масляные кремовые зелёные листики имели схожий аромат.

The reviewer below me is very right, this does smell like the classic nivea crémé but i love it nevertheless. I'd prefer it for using at home or at night (when used sparingly). Its a clean girl scent for sure, i dont get any grandma associations. Comforting, pretty and i-got-my-shi-together vibes. I know and love the classic kenzo flower, but its not an exact dupe. I'd say its a sweeter and creamier version of it. Very inoffensive scent, office girlies can give it a go for sure.

If you love 2000s makeup scents, get this. A simple and sexy *EXTREMELY POWDERY sweet rose* scent, vanilla plays well with the powder, and the musk leaves a long trail behind you. As I described it, nothing else, which is not a bad thing at all. :) Very long lasting, for me, as it fights well with the hot weather where I live. But I can see it performing well in whichever season or time. I'm absolutely going to repurchase this beautiful bottle again.<3

i was searching for a scent that smells like that nostalgic cabbage patch dolls, and this is it. its perfect it starts off very strong and heavy, like incense, plastic, and a little rose with sweetness, but the dry down is amazing. it truly smells like baby powder with a vanilla hint to it and a slight floral thats not that noticeable. if you like baby powder scents or want to smell like a cabbage patch doll, this is perfect for you. i love it

Just got it today in spray bottle and i smell so identical with enchanteur powder that my mom used to use everyday. Not bad thing in fact i really love this smell, i just kinda not prepare it will smell so identical to enchanteur powder. I think its excellent for 'after shower you dont want to go anywhere and just want lay in your bed' kinda perfume, it makes you feel soft, comfort, and cozy. (maybe because the powder image so strong)

Hidden Gem ALERT ! ( if you enjoy powdery fragrances.) This fragrance is beautiful and delicate. Initially when I applied the oil it smelled like baby powdered scented baby wipes, BUT then I let it sit for a week or so I reused it and it smelled lovely. You can literally smell the roses and vanilla. It's sweet and powdery. I had to buy the perfume spray. Layer this w eos vanilla cashmere n thank me later

Recently got sample of kenzo flower. I fell in love. Checked for dupe on fragrantica and got myself red rose. It smells EXACTLY the same. It's bright and powdery rose scent. You'll get none of that jammy or scratchy rose you get in every other rose scent. Gives vintage, but it's very relaxing and comforting. I love to spray it after shower. Lasts about 3hrs, after that becomes a skin scent.

I see this oil reminds many of Flower by Kenzo. I never had it and I didn't liked it when I was testing it in parfum shop, but Red Rose oil is the one that I really like. Great for evening events and dates. One of the favourite of Al Rehab. P. S. I thought it's great for evening events but after my last wearing this oil, I understood it's just a day time scent :))

I am not a fan of roses, so usually I stay away from them. On the other hand i LOVE powdery perfume and I heard this one is a powder bomb. People were not lying because this is such a soft and romantic powdery rose that even I fell in love with it, despite the rose note. It’s so addictive and i’ve gotten a lot of compliments because of it. Chef’s kiss 👌🏻

I already owned this for a while and after hunting for a powdery perfume, decided to smell Kenzo flower. Exactly the same in my opinion. Red rose has amazing strength and always gets my compliments. It's a lovely powdery, floral scent which pushes the boundaries of being overbearing but doesn't cross them. Definitely not understated or subtle.

This is another wonderful, excellent perfume from the fantastically cheap Al-Rehab House. I adore them. Everything of theirs I have tried is exceptionally fine, and always lovely and strong and long-lasting. Red Rose is a lovely powdery rose, with soft and gentle subtle vanilla, which makes it a sweet rose cream powder. It's heavenly.

Oh, this is lovely! It's a sudsy sweet rose, like a bar of pink bath soap. It's creamy, thanks to the drop of vanilla and its subtle muskiness. It's not as strong as other Al-rehabs, but it's not exactly meek, either (I'm catching beautiful wafts as I type this). This is like a mild body lotion; very feminine and warm.

This is wonderful. On me it is a perfect perfume that seems to mesh with my whole being. A perfume of strength and resilient. Roses without the thorns. Steadfast. A perfume for heroes but not mainstream, underground. It seems to tell a story of resistance. Can a few dollar perfume have so much to say? On me it speaks.

Very powdery and is good for Philippine weather. Can pass as unisex as it has no strong scent that indicates whether it is for feminine or masculine. Long-wearing on clothes; can last the whole day. For skin, you might wanna spray every 3-4 hours. Weak to moderate sillage.

This smells like a carnation bomb right off the bat but as mentioned after a bit calms down to a floral powder scent. It's not rosey. It's a soft skin scent and would be absolutely non offending to ANYONE I am sure. If you REALLY want a nice rose from Al-rehab try Roses.

If you like powdery perfumes then you will love this one. It's a very feminine scent, delicate and lovely. I can definitely feel the vanilla in this one, the rose is soft, quiet and pretty. I have the spray and it has decent staying power and sillage.

Love this! Definitely one of the best by Al Rehab, Red Roses is the petals of a drugstore red rose, mostly fresh with some bruised edges, a little verdant spice from the green leaf and stem. Great longevity as it softens on the skin to a rosy powder.

I love rose scents and this did not disappoint: almost pure rose smell with a touch of sweetness that makes the perfume smell fresh. Doesn’t have much silage but is fairly strong and lasts a fair amount of time. A very good sunny day scent.

This is gorgeous 💖💒 Exactly what i was looking for. This makes me think of early 1900s ballerina's dressing room. Makeup, bouquet of roses, violet parfum, and sweet violet body powder. Very vintage. Very beautiful. I LOVE it!

Amazing smell!! At first you may smell a slight wiff of hospital or cleaning detergent but it's just on the bottle, it smells like roses and has a talc powder hint, and I smell something else that I think is a citrusy hint?

This is one of my favorite perfumes! OMG sweet powdery vanilla w soft rose in the background! I have the oil hopefully they smell identical! I'm waiting for the spray to come Edit* they smell the same!

Beautiful Rose, perfect for layering with Oud. I have tried many different Rose perfumes and this one is lovely.

Very similar to Flower by Kenzo, but stronger and more long lasting and perhaps a little bit less powdery. The rose here is very natural, unlike in most of those cheap fragances wich usually turn to an air refreshener artificial rose. The violet is not overly sweet nor cloying. The vanilla is very honeyed but not excesive or infantile. There ́s a white musk undertone, very clean that ties everything together. There ́s also a hint of something green I can ́t identify. Even when this juice has a very good sillage, it ́s not cloying or offensive, wich makes it a very tolerable scent for hot weather. It ́s a lovely fragance for everyday use, cozy and lovely, wearable at the office and even at the gym and in crowded places if applied with a very light hand. Smells much more expensive than it is. Makes a beautiful hair perfume with a vintage feeling. A good budget alternative for Flower by Kenzo. I bought a refill of the original Flower by Kenzo for 15€ (much cheaper than the juice in its bottle) and comparing the two side by side I can tell the two are very similar, but Al Rehab Red Rose is the stronger of the two. Definitively not unisex, very feminine like the original Flower by Kenzo, so only adventurous men may dare to wear this. It puzzles me the gender assignation of Arab fragances, I find it a bit different than the Western standards. I wish some Arab user here would explain it with some detail.

The sillage is very close to the skin with little projection. A person sitting next to you might smell it. The lasting power is similar to other Al Rehab products, with a moderate longevity. Red Rose is a pretty, non-offensive perfume that would be nice for daily wear. It's also light enough that it could be used over multiple seasons. It's never going to be the one that you reach for first, but it might be the one you pick on those days that you don't know what to wear. Overall, it's a solid "like" for me. Tea Rose still stays my favorite for an authentic rose smell.

Nose Note #235 I had both the oil roller and the spray version and they are different. So far all oils by Al Rehab that I had were nuclear. The strongest stuff I've ever smelled. The spray version is definately weaker and just smells worse to me. The oil gives off this fog-thick powdery rose that is smooth as butter, but the thing is so strong it's almost impossible to wear - only on the wrist and in small dosage. The spray also has the same powdery rose but on top there is something offputting, something a little sour and synthetic, just really unpleasant. And this thing on the top doesn't go away I haven't smelled Kenzo Flower. This one is 100% for mature female audience and someone who has the confidence to pull it off *the comments about it having a vintage or Johnson's Baby oil smell are true

Red Roses is a calming, plushy floral with powder and vanilla. I'd say 70% vanilla powder, 30% soft rose/violet/carnation combo. Sometimes after it's been on a few hours I think I can smell a spicy carnation under all that. It stumped me as I sat with it on, searching the olfactory files for the connection. Maybe like a face cream or cosmetic scent I know from the past? A little like a discontinued Lush perfume: Potion. Red Roses is like soft and sweet cushiony violet/rose if that makes sense. Very approachable and subtly spiced floral yet powdered scent. I like it very much; I especially like to wear it to bed. Now I suppose I should go smell Kenzo Flower to see what everyone is talking about. Update: I love this more the more I wear it.

I will warn this is by far the strongest of all of the Al Rehab perfumes I've tried. This perfume lingers on skin for over 12 hours: when I go to bed I still smell it on my skin in the morning, it lingers on fabric and inanimate objects like my headphones for days if not weeks. I can even still smell it after I've showered! Please BE CAREFUL and only use a little bit of the oil! As for the fragrance, it opens very baby powdery but then dries into a much more rosy creamy vanilla. Not really a true rose, like others say it's more of a rose fragrance for cosmetics, but it's still pleasant nonetheless. Combined with Roses from Al Rehab, it becomes more of a true rose. The longer it sits on your skin, the muskier it becomes.

I had this for a couple of months now I bought it because i knew it smells like kenzo flower and i really love this perfume cause it’s just a pure memory from my childhood of how my mother smelt like and how i would sneak into her room when she’s off to work and try to steal it from her closet , but when i first got it i realized that it doesn’t suit me i only like it when i smell it on my mom but on me for some reason i just don’t think it works When i first sprayed it it smelt very strong and almost like the cheap rose scented hand soaps at the restaurant but after a few minutes it smells like a pure red rose it’s just a simple, pure and clean nostalgic scent Longevity 8/10 Sillage 9/10 Overall amazing for the price

I just purchased Red Rose,and I am very surprised that this very budget friendly fragrance is a good one.This scent has lasted over eight hours on my skin. Moderate sillage that I can detect and bask in. The perfume definitely pushes a powdery rose wrapped in vanilla,and hints at musk. It definitely leans into the baby powder scent profile but this is a very light scent to wear anytime. The only thing I dislike about Red Rose is that after a few hours, I seem to smell like J&J's baby wipes. Not a bad scent but not one that I am comfortable with. This might be only my skin chemistry that has this outcome. I won't be repurchasing. Still a nice and mellow scent to try.

I like this but it doesn't smell like roses to me. I saw someone say the name is only a reference to the red rose on the Kenzo Flower bottle, so maybe it's just supposed to be a dupe. I find that a confusing concept because a lot of people are expecting a rose bomb and getting mostly powder. I'm getting the smell of baby powder, and this smells very similar to the lilac perfume oil I have. It's strong, sweet and powdery. I definitely wouldn't spray too much or you may choke someone out. It lasts all day until the next day on clothes. Overall I like it. It's a good quality, and very inexpensive scent, that can fill the spot for a baby powder perfume in my collection.

Smells almost identical to Kenzo flowers. The incense and musk together gives it a very nice powdery smell. Imagine yourself taking a bath with rose petals and moisturising with baby oil, that is what this scent smells like. Very clean and inoffensive but not boring. Perfect for people who like floral scents but want a natural “out of the shower” or “this is just what i smell like”. I think because it’s such a clean scent it leans more unisex than it does feminine. The powdery notes and the rose does give it that very stereotypical “grandma scent”, still a great fragrance just be aware of this.

nauseating initial smell..very powdery like straight up baby powder, baby wipes smell, the powder scented ones.. but....... wait till it stays on the skin then you will appreciate this beauty, i am not a fan of powdery scents but this one is so pleasant and clean smelling.. a little sweet too on my skin..very long lasting i get whiffs of it throughout the day.. its powdery rose as others say.. it smells clean but not fresh clean like citrus or other fresh notes..its powder clean like that of a baby's skin.. i layer this with bath and body rose for that sweet airy rose smell, so good...

I have the oil version. A little goes a long way with this. A dab on the inner wrist and rub with the other one. I like the dry down better than the opening notes. The opening smells sharp and metallic on my skin. The dry down is sweeter, more powdery, and musky. I prefer sweet powdery florals :). This delivers on the dry down. 06/2026: update. I like this even more now! I guess it’s true with middle eastern fragrances that they get better the longer they sit. The sharpness and metallic opening is gone. Just straight up soapy, powdery florals. I love it. Super soothing!

This review is for the rollerball version. A very happy blind buy! This is a feminine powdery rose at a bargain price. I agree with the reviews that say it's somewhat of a makeup powder scent (which is what I was hoping for). It's also reminiscent of soft, clean laundry. It lasted around 3-4 hours on my skin with moderate sillage. It only morphed a little bit in that time, with a touch of incense coming through. I unfortunately didn't get any vanilla from this, but that's my only con. Looking forward to layering this with other perfumes!
