Sabaya

I was lucky enough to get a spray bottle in the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Al Rehab this year. Based on my experience and my skin chemistry, I could say this fragrance develops differently depending on how you apply it. In my case, this fragrance appeals to me most, when I spray one spritz in the air, and walk through it. Also, it develops beautifully, when I spray one spritz on the side of my belly. I also have to mention that I am from Japan where people are very sensitive about the fragrances and prefer light and clean fragrances. About the notes, I smell fresh zesty lemon as the first note. Then, innocent orange blossom. sweet honey emerge as the middle note. Finally mellow rose lingers through the air. When I first sprayed this fragrance, Izia by Sisley came into my mind, which is one of my favorite rose perfumes. Plus, the drydown reminds me of Le Parfum by Elie Saab, My fragrance to go, and an all-time head turner. All in all, I think Sabaya by Al Rehab is a beautiful, and versatile fragrance. I wil wear this fragrance to meet people for the first time to give them better impression.

I've been wearing sabaya for almost two years now. This one reminds me of spring. When i drive down the back roads in the country with my windows down. Not that it smells like the country , it's just a scent memory association . This is a sweet floral. I smell orange, orange blossom, tuberose, lily of the valley and a dab of rose. Sabaya reminds me alot of Juicy Couture Juicy Couture . I love layering these two together. Sabaya has great longevity on my skin lasting well through the day And stays on hair and clothes for eternity! Sillage is perfect for me. People can smell me standing a couple feet away lol. Sometimes i like my sillage huge. Its very spring- like and is a happy scent.

First impression of this has me wanting to get the spray. It smells like Lychee, so sweet and ripe and juicy, then I smell a green smell, like those burdock plants that stick to your clothes when you step in grass, while a rose creeps up in the background and isn't overpowering. The lychee smell is the star in this for me. I recommend! Update: i recently bought Yulali and it smells exactly like Sabaya, the only difference is Yulali last about 40 mins longer.

Had this oil for around 3 weeks now and have worn it for around half that time. I love it. It's soft, floral, with spice and totally feminine. It has a warm sultriness that lasts easily 24 hours on me, and in fact, seems to get a new lease of life the following morning,wafting up clouds of flowery loveliness while I drink my early morning tea. I shall have to send for replacements soon, as I would hate to be without this one.

Bright, sweet, happy Sabaya... a new love. I noticed longevity votes were not too high but it lasted over 10 hours on me and still going. Super strength! Guessing here: Orange blossom, or orange and jasmine, mango nectar, citrusy, and some rose sweetened with honey. Like nectar and sunshine! Zesty-fresh. Very smooth and high quality. Very strong! It brightened up my rainy, hectic workday.

This is MESMERIZING!💗💗💗 its even better than morrocan rose. And its hot in the 90s and this is sultry! I noticed how this scent changes from smelling tuberose and jasmine with citrus to smelling like fleur fatale, then to a clean soapy musky rose. Its amazing until it gets too cold then a plastic smell ruins it in cooler weather. This fragrance definitely favors warm to hot humid weather.

This is my first perfume from al-rehab. I was pleasantly surprised with the strength and quality of Sabaya. I have the spray version and it smells amazing, like My Way and Ellie Saab had a baby..the opening is sweet tuberose then strong orange blossom mixes in, its a clean, linear scent that has some lasting power. I will definitely be trying out more perfumes from this house.

I just smell this perfume in a shop now.This things smell 100% exactly like "Habibi lil abad" by nabeel.On habibi lil abad they say its unisex perfume.I don't care if its just for women or both the thing is i love this perfume and i wear it every time and everyday.If u wanna know how Heaven smells,this is the thing.

I hated this. Sharp, screechy, synthetic. Then I was okay with it. Lemony rose. Then I loved it. Rose forward, green and fresh. Now I crave it. Juicy lemony jammy pink vanilla rose on a fresh green background. I don't know what changed, me or the oil.

I've been on an Al Rehab kick for a little while and this one is amazing. I got the oil version and it smells exactly like spring. Fresh, green, citrusy and floral. The rose note compliments the green notes so well.

One of my absolute favorite perfumes from Al-Rehab. The blend of rose, citrus and green notes is perfection. I love wearing it. It feels fresh and pretty, perfect for Spring and Summer.

It's fresh, it's floral, it's citrussy. It's lovely. Currently wearing it on 13th December, and I'm in UK. It's still lovely, but I cannot wait to find out how it smells in the summer!

Incredible...give it a few hours on the skin to mellow more and it smells like a flower garden....lasts forever like all their perfumes...truly beautiful.

Very bubbly and fresh scent, I love it! You can't go wrong with this one, very safe buy and has good longevity.

great fragrance , very close to Elie Saab Le Parfum

Wow I had a few bucks to spend (choco musk roller ball was dried up nothing came out vaguely some nestle quick powder smell) but it was like when a scratch and sniff sticker is found like 10 yrs later! I don’t get why peeps love choco musk or the oil! Doesn’t project or last! So gave this one a try as a I have no rose perfumes atm ( usually I wear nirvana rose ) but it was smelling a bit off Well I had zero hopes but wow!! 🤩 I smell some candied lemon, sweet pink roses no powder and I swear I smell some vanilla!?? Last night I had Prada paradox on when this arrived so I rolled it all over the tops of my hand and surprised....i awoke to it really blooming off of my skin! It smells lovely at 1pm today! I would say it’s got decent silage and projection for what you’re paying! this would make a great teen perfume or a purse top off perfume! Or a bedtime scent...I may try the perfume but heard the oil lasts longer? Very linear They have so many perfumes & oils I’m def going to try some more! This is a sweet citrus rose (almost similar to Rose Gourmand) but I prefer this more actually.. Sadly you just never know what you’ll get with these ! But this was a hit! Yay

Went on a little Al-Rehab oil rollerball binge, and this is one that just arrived. I just gave it the back of the hand test, but it seems like it might layer nicely with the perfume I have on, Volupté. I smell more rose than I get in Volupté (which is strange because most Grojsman perfumes have rose, don't they?), and I'm getting a little more green and a little less fruit than with Volupté, but they seem to be in the same category of sunny yellow florals with fruit and a kiss of greenery. This might be a bit more citrus-forward, with less osmanthus, but they complement each other well enough that I won't need to wash my hand right away. I could definitely see layering my Al-Rehab rollerballs with some of my more evanescent EDTs or EDPs to help with longevity, although Sabaya, like several others, is lovely on its own as well.

i just bought this scent-i love it! it is so beautiful-the citrus blends beautifully with the rose-a little soapy =which is fine-i don't mind a little-but when it overwhelms it-no...but this is just a little around the edges-it is part of the scent that lingers. there might be a hint of oudh-even thought it doesn't caal for it in the notes-i sense it in the undertone-although no one i have asked has noticed it. i always fel like the noes on this site and for the sites i purchase from, are incomplete. this is a honest love-from the first whiff-it is something i could see myself wearing on a regular basis-and that is something i just don't find myself saying very often. definitely worth the $1.80 i paid for the 3ml bottle at al madina traders.

This is a really pretty, fresh rose/citrus scent. Very clean and bright. The rose here has no powder, and is younger and more clean than I was expecting. There is something in it that smells like fabric softener sheets on me (which I love)! At first the green notes are the most potent on my skin; they actually smell a lot like carrot juice. Once the florals and citrus come out to play I get a fresh, feminine, everyday kind of scent that I'd be happy in year round. This one's not as much of a sillage beast as other Al-Rehabs, which in my eyes is not at all a bad thing.

I just picked up this little cutie in the 50ml spray for around $7. Why not? I really like it! It’s a simple little fragrance. It is fresh and clean smelling and perfect for throwing in your bag. I personally like soapy scents but I can see from other reviews that it’s not for everyone. Makes sense that I also have Mahasin crystal and enjoy that too! They do smell similar! It’s bright, feminine and just an easy little scent. The green notes make it fresh and perfect for a spring and summer scent!

I have the spray bottle and I don’t try to sniff it right away as it can be too harsh. Let it mellow for a few minutes and then smile at those sweet zesty tangerines 🍊 greeting you. The Rose is fresh, young, pink and accompanied probably by orange blossoms and LOTV, possibly also sambac. The base has a clean white musk and in the late dry down I can sense just a hint of smoky woods, nothing overbearing. Bright, uplifting, joyful, energetic just like the name implies (young girls 👧 ).

Sabaya (the 50ml spray) is your typical oriental fruity-rose perfume. Mellows down to a nice sweet, soft and sophisticated scent. Initially, quite floral-forward (maybe white floral even), with a distinct green note, but citrus is lacking. I am getting more mango. Somebody mentioned a salty note on the skin - yes! I felt that too. That with a bit of soap in the middle. After a while a nice rose with a fresh greens were what's left. Overall, I enjoy it.

I love it! Notes listed here seem about right. I plan to layer with Curious by Britney Spears or Bright Absolute by Versace since they share the same fresh, earthy (green and aquatic) and girly notes. I’ve been “splurging” on Al-Rehab perfumes for layering and you really can’t beat the deal you get from this house. Great smells, ~$10 (on Amazon) and good longevity!

Oil: I received as a gift, this one layers well with Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose. Tip: the roller balls aren't very good, pop the whole plastic top out of the bottle and remove the roller ball with a small screwdriver, replace the rest of the plastic neck to stop it leaking. Makes it easier to apply directly or mix with unscented lotion.

Something about this smells like laundry detergent or fresh clean clothes to my nose. That being said, it's not a bad scent and I like it. Nothing groundbreaking, just a nice, soft, fresh, clean, bright, floral scent. I'm gonna play around with layering it with other fragrances and see what I come up with.

This is a review of the 50ml spray This is a bright Fresh Rose forward scent. Its really that simple. It does perform quite well for the price, I get about 4 to 5 hours of projection and it lingers on my skin for a bit longer than that. Reminds me of Chris Adams Dreamz for women Pink. Great cheapie.

It's quite fresh, nice soapy rosy citrusy scent. But I wish it were more unisex. I have Al Rehab Sultan which is also soapy, but the woody note is making it less likable to me. I think I don't really enjoy heavy scent, like oakmoss in Afnan SCE making it a dealbreaker. Good thing my father likes it

I am on the fence about this one. It smells like springtime to me. Airy, light, fruity - very nice. I can see where this might be a good fragrance to wear to work, as it seems inoffensive. However, it is not a true love connection for me. Hopefully, it will grow on me. I'll give it some time!

Fresh, green and rosy. I had gotten it for my partner who immediately said it was something her mother would wear, so it left my collection rather quickly. Pretty good if you're looking for a fresh floral, though not extremely memorable for me.

I have the oil. This is a fresh and soapy (and slightly grapy) rose that smells way more expensive than what it costs. I'd say this is a very good option for an everyday professional scent. Absolutely delightful.

I like this. It's fresh and citrussy and rosy and lasts a long time considering the price. I agree it has a hint of Elie Saab in the opening, but is less complex overall with no patchouli.

Smells lovely, but barely wear it. I have SO many perfumes that I couldn't justify keeping it. Going to give it away in my giveaway and hope someone else will get more use out of it.

I agree with what Catherine82 says. The Orange is quite sharp and zingy. It is a nice fresh and happy scent and seems to get more rosy as it goes along and slightly powdery.

On my skin, she smells similar to Valentino Voce Viva or Prada Paradoxe with the light vanilla in those replaced by a slight watery freshness. I’m in love.

It's a fresh rose with a hit of green. Quite strong so I often use at night time. Lil bit citrusy that make it fresh. Arabian tipical scent..

It's a heavy rose and fruit. Not a sharp citrus, but a juicy sweet citrus. Like a lemonade made with honey and rosewater. It's delicious.

This is a perfect summer scent. The rose and citrus just works! Not overbearing and safe for work. A great find.

Sabaya! for women. red rose smell lots

I like many Al-Rehabs, they make great affordable perfumes, but I'm not a big fan of Sabaya. It's okay, but bordering on a dislike for me. This is essentially a fresh and clean rose scent. I don't smell a lot of citrus or any green notes here, just rose and a hint of peachy fruitiness. Maybe a touch of lemon if I'm really looking for it. Unfortunately this comes across very soapy and sharp on me, so much that it actually somewhat reminds me of hair spray. I think the rose note itself is nice, but it gets buried by some harsh musky fixative that I don't like. It doesn't smell completely bad to me, but not like anything I would want to smell on myself. At first I thought maybe this just needs warmth to unfold right and stashed it away until summer. That didn't work out, it smells the same to me in all seasons. I have only tried the spray, maybe the oil is the better option in this case.

I got the rollerball version. From the bottle, it smells exactly like cleaning fluid! But, once applied (i added only 2 dabs, one behind each ear), after a few minutes it became a citrusy scent with a decent amount of rose. Yes, it does have the greenness to it, but it is alright I suppose. When my roommate smelled this, she said it smells so good, but she hated it from the rollerball. She could not believe it at all! haha! It lasts a long time, so it is an alright scent for when i am at home. I'll finish the roller ball but i wont buy again.

I have the spray version. Sabaia is such a clean fragrance — it smells like freshly laundered clothes. Very fresh, floral, and soapy. Clean green, lemony, and rose notes. This is alright. It smells like a cheap body spray I had in the past called PowerStick For Her. It's mostly sweet baby powder with a hint of citrus. It definitely has that dollar store perfume cheap powdery smell in the base. It has decent sillage and longevity. I'm not really getting the rose I was hoping for out of this. For me it's really just okay, nothing amazing but not bad. I wouldn't repurchase this though.

This is meh for an arabian perfume. But I don't dislike it. I have a few rollerballs of this (been gifted time and time again from friends who have visited Saudi Arabia). I use it as a base to layer it with rose perfume (the oil in these attars are very effective for longevity for a weaker perfume). All in all, an inoffensive clean smell.

I can't stop feeling that it smells cheap, whatever the notes, I have that cheap vibe I my nose, and it hurt my nose cause it's aggressive some how, maybe ppl here are talking about the oil, but the spray is just like what I described now, I hope that i will change my mind by time, just wear it an hour ago.

This is too flowery for me. The main note is rose, but it doesn't smell like rose to me. It's a very strong perfume and gives me a headache.

I layer the rollerball oil with Lilly Pulitzer Wink. They are almost identical so if you like Wink you’re sure to enjoy this.

I always try to give cheapies and underdogs a chance, or multiple chances, simply because I don't want to be like many snobs out there, missing out on pure fun. After more than a year of trying to give Sabaya a chance, I can clearly say - we are definitely not friends. I first got Sabaya in a form of air freshener, as I tend to buy these for my bathroom in this huuuuge Asian supermarket where they have a massive selection. I liked it and intrigued by truckloads of positive reviews (including in other languages) I ordered the EDP. I have tried it on my skin different times, in different weather and humidity, but all I get on my skin is this ugly, chemical cheap meh. I really tried to envisage all of the beautiful descriptions of early morning Euphoria, photorealistic florals, lilly of the valley and greenery, but unfortunately it doesn't do it for me at all. I can't even stand the air freshener anymore..

So I’ve been trying more arab perfumes lately, because of many reasons (boycott + affordability). And I’ve been hearing so much about Sabaya and so many reviews were positive about this one. So I thought it would be a great idea to blindbuy it. Yet when I got my bottle I found the scent to be extremely similar to a detergent scent. Like it’s not even an analogy to me this is straight up smelling like a rose scented detergent. Even if you disregard the detergent comparison, you can still smell something veeery synthetic, like a screeching sound that you smell instead. I don’t like that I’m downgrading this perfume, especially when I think about how it might be someone’s favorite thing, or the only thing they can afford. So I will let it macerate, and I’ll try it again after a couple months.
