Wigdan

I think it should re-named to "Gilded Lily". :-) This is actually a complex blend of flowers- lily (most-prominent), but also narcissus, tuberose, jasmine, rose (hint), and something I can't identify but it's sweet-smokey-honeyish like forsythia-blossoms... a little cassis adding a sweet-fruity edge... lemongrass on the upper edge... hint of sweaty cumin, bit of licorice...but this entire section merely graces the summit of the heavily-resinous base like a crowning jewel. In the base, I sense musk, labdanum, benzoin, tonka- similar in this way (as well as part of the heart) to 'Balkis' (I would guess the same nose created both). Balkis I find "drier" than this- it lacks the sweet floral lilt of Wigdan. Overall a really nice floriental with a "sweet nectar" edge that I think even a guy could wear comfortably. I'm adding this to my spring rotation! EDIT 7Jun17: Over the last 3 years, Wigdan has become one of my favorite perfumes ever- delicious from its sweet-floral start all the way down to the golden-honey skin-scent that remains for hours... always mysterious, alluring, and sensual.

I love this perfume. I have the oil and its just wonderful. Lasts forever especially on clothes. I would be my signature but its a tad heavy for everyday use. Good for formal occasions like weddings.

I have this and save it for the rare occasion I fancy some serious lilly! its best for summer I think as it is so floral and honeyed. I love it

Smells like DEATH in a good way!

A site I found that sells these perfumes describes Wigdan as "a very sweet golden floral smell with a hint of fruit". On my skin I get mostly lily with a strong honey-like note and maybe just a whiff of oud drifiting softly and discreetly in the background to provide an exotic edge. It's a pretty scent but my skin amps the honey-like note too much for my taste. If you like a very sweet (but not really gourmand, despite the honeyed smell) floral scent, this one might be perfect for you.

Spicy animalic lilies. A good lily is hard to find. Being often too green or too sweet. I'd say this Al Rehab reaches near perfection if you are seeking a heady, thick but not overly sweet lily. If you also enjoy Al Rehab Full or Al Rehab Susan, Wigdan will be a welcome addition to your collection.

At first I smelled a medicinal odor so I smelled closer and decided it smells like Carmex! But eventually, after about two hours or so, it turned into a warm, sweet cedar. Not much sillage on me but lasts quite a while as a skin scent.

Just started to dabble in Al-Rehab perfume oils, and many are fabulous. This one, however, is not for me. This is a spicy floral with very strong incense type overtones. To me it smells very similar to some kind of Far East smoke shop where all of the smells swirl together. The above note simply states lily, but this is far more complex and quite intense.

An angry lily, unrefined and very sweet. I’m coincidentally wearing Roja Dove’s ‘Lily’ on the other arm and it makes ‘Wagan’ seem so shouty and crass in comparison. On me it’s 90% vanilla and 10% synthetic, generic florals. It smells like a bad air freshener.

to me this smells like honeyed white flower with possibly saffron and possible a touch of oud too. A bit soapy too on skin.

Powerful white floral with plenty of gardenia and some jasmine to improve it. At this point, the jury is out.

I don't think my nose is clever enough to pick out the individual notes in this. I got the 3ml roll-on oil and I have to say it smells about 100 times more expensive than it is. It is absolutely gorgeous! I don't particularly like tuberose or jasmine, so I'm sure I would pick those up if they were prominent in this, and I'm not doing. It's very smooth initially-no harshness or sharpness, a lovely rounded creamy smooth honey and slightly spicy with a tiny touch of incense. Its not cloves or cinnamon or medicinal spiciness, its like a woody note as well. Then it softens down to a wood and vanilla, its not sweet gourmand vanilla, its just enough to make it creamy. I wish I had the nose and the vocabulary to describe this properly because the fragrance notes on this page really don't do it justice. Its far more complex and far richer than just a white floral. It lasted on me for about 5 hours and it was lovely from start to finish. Its a warm fragrance, perfect for winter I think. Really glad I bought this!

Spicy, sweet, nectar lilies... For me very similar to Balkis - I have them both. At first I smell candied lemon peels, then it gets sweeter - but it's a sweetnes of honey or flower nectar. And there's a lot of this nectar... And under the thick layers of this nectar is one big white and pink lily, with it's typicall spicy touch - but it's totaly covered with sweetness, that it can not live and breathe. After a while the lily is more dry and fall to dust, the same happens with sweet nectar - it dries out and became a sweety, ambery and honey dust... It's nice, but I don't need both - Balkis and Wigdan. A expected Wigdan to be more flowery and less sweet. Sillage is decent, longevity enormous.

A very sweet/spicy floral perfume. I know the notes says there is lily in this, but I can't really get the lily on my skin unless I really try. I get a very sweet, kinda soapy white flower smell with some sort of cedar/resin smell underlying it. I was glad another reviewer smelled it, because my husband swore it wasn't there. If it wasn't for that underlying cedar smell, it would be overwhelmingly sweet to me. Thank goodness as time passes this becomes less sweet and more warm on my skin. I also get the honey note, which I think contributes less to the sweetness and more to the warmth of the fragrance.

This smells very similar to Al-Rehab Balkis. For those who don't know what Balkis smells like, it's a cross between Lancome Poeme and Jean Paul Gualtier Classique. To me, this doesn't smell much like lillies. It is white floral with a bit of spice.

Are people seriously comparing a 1,50$ fragrance to a Roja dove frag? Is everyone really expecting a dollar fifty perfume to smell niche?! Please be realistic! For one dollar fifty, this is an amazing perfume.

sweet, thick, juicy lily based floral. I love it.
