Falcon

This is a good clone; I purchased a bottle of this when I was just starting to get into fragrances, and I loved it enough to buy a full bottle of PDM's Althair. But now that I have it I feel like I wasted my money, there's basically no difference other than performance. Falcon lasts about 6-8 hours, while Althair lasts only a little longer (on skin). But considering the price difference, Falcon is the better choice imo.

I love Althair. I'll get it someday, but for now, I'm playing around with the dupes because I've heard such good things. Liquid Brun and Art of Nature 2 are on the way here now, but I came across this Alt Falcon dupe and decided to try it while I wait for the others. I've worn Althair many times and currently have a decant of it, so I'm very familiar with the scent. I am not even joking when I say, Alt Falcon is 1:1 to Althair, like a 100% accurate scent. The only difference I notice is less projection, but equal or possibly more longevity. These Alt dupes are labeled as extraits, and I believe it because they are insanely heavily concentrated. It almost looks like a puddle of pure oil when you spray it. Heavily concentrated scents rarely project well and usually favor longevity over projection, which is the case here. That said, I'm testing 6 fragrances on my arms right now, and Alt Falcon is winning the battle of being noticed in the air. While Alt Falcon was a blind buy, I already had faith in this company. I bought the Oud Wood dupe, "Agar Gold", after being pretty disappointed with the Maison Alhambra Woody Oud. Same deal, 1:1 to Oud Wood, MUCH BETTER clone than the Maison Alhambra (who is usually very accurate), and an extremely concentrated extrait de parfum that lasts all day and projects only moderately due to the heavy concentration. This ALT brand deserves some recognition because they make some really good dupes and they're rarely talked about, if at all. I'm really curious to see if Liquid Brun and Art of Nature 2 are 100% accurate to Althair like this is, because I've heard they're extremely close but not 1:1. After a couple of weeks spent comparing Althair, AoN2, LB and Falcon, Falcon actually ended up being the least accurate clone because it loses some of the depth in the dry down. AoN2 ended up being the most accurate clone from the opening to the far dry down, and LB is just a tiny bit less accurate because it has a smoky accord that's much less prevalent in Althair. I'd say Falcon is 85% close, LB is 90% and AoN2 is 95%.
