Spectre 565 - 248 Ode To The Mandarin

Light sparkling mandarin and yuzu with a woodsy base. Effervescent green quality in the opening from the aldehydes. Reminiscent of Parfums de Marly's Sedley without the aqua notes and a focus on unisex musks. Still masculine leaning but only slightly. Feels built french like an MFK but without the lasting base of musks.

The dirty/sweaty lemon like older classics Ysl pour homme have, is replaced with a green mandarin instead. Drydown has Rive Gauche-like shaving foam effect. Bottomline a perfectly executed modern green-sourish citrus barbershop. All this brand needs is an online hype. Their perfumes smell amazing.

A bright yellow/orange scent. First association I got was Aperol Spritz before it dried down to old fashion hard fruit candy like Nimm2. I find it quite young and sparkling. Nice but for younger women in my opinion.

Pleasant, inoffensive. If you really like this one, I’d highly recommend sampling the Sunlit Clementine EDP from Molton Brown before purchasing it, you might prefer it, and the longevity is better.

Not really unique. Herbal orange fragrance. Basilic Pourpre, Chypre Azural, Cologne Bigarardee does it better

The smell is pleasant with the orange at first but after about half an hour the orange disappears and it dries down from the opening to somewhat suffocating and makes me feel ill.

As far as green citrus scents go, this is a top tier one. Except for the performance, not weak but not a beast either. Soft, office-safe. Earthy, grassy vetiver, bergamot, mandarin peel and lime as well as sweet mint. Simple citrus scent at first glance but there are layers waiting to be unfurled. Edit: Drydown for someone who doesn't enjoy sporty blue fragrances is not a pleasant thing. Salty, ambroxan heavy and headache inducing. All the elegance in the beginning is gone, unfortunately.
