Spectre 575 - 149 Shadows Of Bergamot

I got a 2ml tester, and this is my thoughts: First of all. Funny to call it "Shadows Of Bergamot", when i never picked up a whiff of bergamot in the whole lifetime of the fragrance. On first blast, this is uncomfortably overpowering. Luckily it pases pretty quickly (a minute or two) and settles into what i'd classify as a fantastic, Christmas time scent. From late October to late January, this is going to be a Winner in my book. Once the overpowering Cinnamon calms down, the fragrance really begins to shine. Giving a very warm and fresh sensation. It's not quite gourmand, but definitely has some gourmand touches. I'd say it leans masculine, but far from impossible for a woman to pull off. Opening: Powerful blast of cinnamon that calms down and gives room for a little Cardamom, Lavender, Vanilla and Guaiac wood. I also believe i detect a hint of Cumin. At this time, it's a little mentholy, from all the cinnamon i think. Fresh and warm spice indeed. Mid: The Labdanum, Musk, Resin, Opoponax and Olibanum (Frankincense) are showing up more and giving a bit more balsamic and general spicy note. The Cinnamon is clearly still there, but mixing nicely with the rest of the spices. Sniffing close up gives me a hint of a note that's reminiscent of fresh urinal cake (before it's peed on). But not at all unpleasant. More of a very clean bathroom. But only when sniffing it nose to skin. Projection is reduced, but the scent buble is still powerful and robust. Dry down: The dry down is amazing to my nose. The Labdanum is giving of a bit of a pleasant leather note. Also a ambery note, i believe from the Tulu Balsam. It works perfectly in with the warm spices. The Urinal cake ish note is all but gone. It was never strong to begin with, but now it's pretty much a slaight memory in the composition. Still got a nice scent buble. Not as much as it had, but people who come close or that you pass on the street will smell your sillage. I belive you can rock this from Autumn to spring, but it will come to it's right in the Christmas parts of the year. I have to say, I Really like this fragrance. It's not blind buy safe. But Absolutely worth testing. It has very good performans and pushes quite well of the skin and you Will get noticed. I find it Very pleasant, warming and kind of comforting scent. I am impressed by the fragrance and can recommend it to cinnamon lovers and those who enjoy warm spices. I'll happily buy a bottle of this for next fall. This is going to be my Christmas scent of 2024. Personal score: 9/10. It's not at the very top of my "to buy" list. But it's up there.

Incensy, resinous vanille masterpiece. Sparkling opening with bergamot, cumin and cardamom, altogether perceived like fresh citrussy saffron. Then it evolves to a relaxing and gentle balsamic vanille, cinnamon and frankincense. Not too sweet, not cloying... It is a true masterpiece and worth the class of "niche fragrance"... Middle and base notes are just like the long gone Escada Casual Friday but better . I don't have to seek reasonable priced Escada bottles anymore, i need to buy this Alustre. Masculine-leaning unisex, and not super unique (very similar to Clive Christian-Chasing the Dragon imo) but a perfect execution&blend, this one is Bertrand Duchaufour at his best, his mastery at commanding warm spicy-resin notes and created another stellar fragrance. I believe it will be a buzz when online fragworld discovers it. Easy 10/10

I am testing this. DryDown 4+ DIVINE... have to test again perhaps overall, been a bit distracted . But later drydown to me Ultimate tobaccoish vanilla amber love. I’ve been a bit sceptical about this brand overall ... this drydown is killing me softly.

I don't know how to explain this other than it smells almost like a fancier gourmet version of a haribo cola bottle gummy. Performs well over 8 hours, even on a hot, but dry summer day Suitable for a blind buy, imo.

This is really nice. I get a mix of PDM Carlisle and MEMO African leather with added vanilla. Since this is cheaper than both of them I would maybe go for this.

I Love love love this scent! This is a gem in colder weather. A Vert Cox scent. I would say its perfectly unisex.

That’s funny: I smell the base notes first and last. There is a lot of patchouli, a smokey frankincense, tolu balsam, musk and some wood right from the start. Then the cinnamon begins to come through, with perhaps a little cardamom tucked away in the background. I don’t get any vanilla, bergamot or peach at all. There is also a slight pinch of salt, which makes it prickle your nose when you smell it up close. To me, this is overall an oriental spicy perfume. Definitely unisex, although I think it would smell quite sexy and bold on a woman, while on a man it could become rather juicy, dark and prominent in the room. If you like sweet, spicy perfumes with a vintage 70s vibe, this one is for you.

A winter pastry. Not too gourmand or sweet, just very nice. The top notes having tea like manors with bergamot, cumin, cinnamon and LOTS of cardemum. Base notes pack a punch of powdered sugar, vanilla, amber and lavender. I wouldnt personally wear it, but its not a bad scent at all.

I get no citrus or cardamom on me. Very powdery vanilla.

This one did not smell of bergamot to me at all! And I kept getting a steamed lobster note, like the ones you can get at seaside crab shacks, with old bay seasoning on every table. The lobster note was less present on my boyfriend, and there was more of a brighter citrus spice on him. But overall, this perfume didn't impress me.

Warm, fruity, sweet, comforting, friendly and charming. Boozy without booze. Incredibly well-crafted composition, which really goes without saying, having in mind this is Duchaufour. My first reaction was to smile. If you know your perfumer – you will certainly recognize his signature. The style is very similar to 1978 Les Bains Douches , which I totally adore, so I am already very biased. In my opinion, this is Duchaufour at his best. This is more amiable and lighthearted (if you are bit cynical, you could also say it's the more commercial Duchaufour). As opposed to the cerebral and challenging perfumer we all have a complex, nonetheless interesting relationship with. If you use Douches in the winter, this is the perfect transition version of that perfume into spring. And by spring I mean early Swedish spring, when there is still snow, but the sun has started shining. This is too sweet and dense for hot weather (10+ °C). In the rest of the world, I would say this is more reserved for autumn. Bergamot is a misconception here, it's more fruity than anything. Genderless, but the character is strong. I imagine myself in a bar when wearing this, probably because of its boozy dimension (although it doesn't officially contain any boozy notes). Without hesitation, this is hidden-gem status. A work of art, as you would expect from a master of his craft.

Heavily focused around cinnamon, cardamom, lavender, vanilla and wood. Don't be scared of the cumin, you don't notice it. Guess it's there just to add a the bitter spicy touch along with the cinnamon. It's nice and cozy that gives off a slight masculine vibe because of the bitter woody and spicy accords. But nothing unique as it's in the realm of how Amouage does their gourmands. Sweet with touches of masculine accords. The pricing is fair though so if you like this type of Amouage gourmand dna, you truly get your money's worth as this is high quality.

I love it on my boyfriend, it’s so warm and spicy, i own the portrait of darkned spicy, which is a bit more harsh and not as warm as this one. The cardemom cinnamon with the citrusy is wonderful and it dries down nicely sweet. I feel it gives of some of the same vibes as autumn vibes by Maison margiela

Absolutely gorgeous composition, explodes on my skin to the point that I can barely discern any one note. What I get on paper is a bit easier to take notes of. Vanilla, tonka, honey, sweet white grape and white musk. A lot of floral activity going on as well but I can't for the life of me be specific.

I get alot of Tobacco from this. Very Nice scent. But i’m sooo tired of that fragrances reminds me too much of eachother. Nothing new. This is like a mix of Eau des baux, Sartorial, Naxos and pure havane.
