Black Violet

I am stunned, what a lovely violet perfume. Mysterious, deep, but still airy and delicate. Graceful, sophisticated, old school Parisian. I mostly feel that pure violet and violet leaf, there is not much noise from any other notes as they only support the violet. The violet here is somehow thick, dense and even buttery, maybe it's iris giving this feeling. Just simply amazing.

Black Violet, cold and bold Green, very ozonic and aromatic, Black Violet is like a breath of fresh air in the multitude of floral perfumes. A beautiful bouquet for women who want to wear something more special, less sweeter but elegant and light at the same time. The opening is very ozonic, like a gust of wind that picks up the scents of green leaves and spring flowers from the park. The violet flower is complemented by the violet leaf and the heliotrope, offering this fresh sensation without any petrol vibe specific to these notes. This is also due to the musk, the iris and the raspberries that rounds up violet's edges. The scent changes along the way, it is not linear but it stays fresh and cold until the end. Bergamot, a note we usually find in the opening of perfumes here is used in the base precisely to maintain the freshness of the black violet. It is a women's perfume, without a doubt, but it can also be worn by men. Violet is not dark despite the name, but it is deep, with a very good persistence. It creates a 1-2 meter bubble around you, persists on the skin for more than 8 hours and projects the first very strong hours. It smells elegant, green, slightly fruity, which is why it is quite versatile. I see it worn both in spring, summer and in autumn or winter because it does not stand out with sweet or spicy notes but on the other hand has strong roots and very bold. Another pleasant creation from this house. Extremelly refined and delicate. I stay away from scents with dominant violet and violet leaf but this is absolutely stunning and I love it. The opening is unisex leaning to feminine scents but the drydown is totally unisex and safe for all. Moreover a few hours before it dies becomes a beautiful masculine scent. Dominant notes are violet, violet leaf, mild cassis, faint rose. The heliotrope and the rasberry are there but at the backgroung. I don't know how smells the chiminanthus though.. green? There's a strong dominant green vibe. Overall this scent feels green and floral. Longevity is great and the sillage is moderate. For the violet lovers.. the Best violet based scent I've ever experienced. Update The violet leaf feels exactly like Bois De Filao Comptoir Sud Pacifique. I can say that Black Violet is the richer and more refined cousin of Bois De Folao.
