Chocman Mint

ORIENTAL VANILLA? NOOOO... JUST THE BEST CHOCOLATE is what it is! The best smelling and also possibly the most forgiving. It is simply good at delivering what it is selling. Probably one of the best purchases ever for me (and I've owned many). Weird as normally very left of field for me to wear!!! The initial spray is quite citrusy and synthetic - it settles down and for the emerging dry down it has a good sweet, a touch bitter smooth chocolate smell. It has a bright top note that to me is a whiff of grapefruit that helps polish off the smell. Maybe there is mint however it is hidden or used to assist some notes. After a few hours the smell is still strong in projection to more than an arms length and it is then that the patchouli begins to really surface skewing the scent toward a deeper smooth experience - 9 hours later and its still going strong with the patchouli growing more prominent as well as a slight powdery feel. The whole time at a distance a Chocolate smell ruled, which is what you want - never had such a sub lime experience before - the extra delight though is up close, nose to arm the scent appeared to evolve and shift making it an interesting experience, varying from fruits to patchouli to citrus and musk.. I blind bought this as a 'WTF - I've tried gourmand scents lets see what this does for chocolate'. Well - it was an awesome buy - never thought I would want to wear a chocolate scent everywhere - but this one will work for me! The packaging looks flash but is cheap and nasty - the smell though is actually pretty damn amazing. Is it worth its high price generally - mmm, not really but if you want chocolate don't bother with the others which are lack lustre one way or another - just save pennies for this or wait till its on special. I'm glad this was not a waste of money. I actually would buy another bottle even though this is not my usual style! Immense longevity and above average projection too - can't see how so many other choc scents fail... I'm guessing this has just better and more expensive oils... Montales chocolate greedy is a wimp in comparison to this lol

If you have Mugler Amen, you don't need this one. it's a clone of Amen, nothing else. Nothing changed and nothing added.
