Musk Extreme

Not "extreme", not eau de parfum. Lasts a lot but it is almost an enjoable skin scent. The spray version (actually I've tried also the edp extreme in oil, and that don't change the following) is in facts an oily cologne basically identical to the original one. Maybe a bit more warm, and less green floral "hairspray" than the original, but also a bit less "instrumental". That lengthy presentation above for nothing special. Is nice like Musk of Alyssa Ashley, cause it is! But almost no sillage. Longevity is big. It gives you a nice warm aura when you wear it. I detect fruity plummy light notes also. Concluding: if you like an un-invasive A. A. Musk, here you are.

The Soapiest Musk Of All If you are a fan of the classic Musk EAU DE TOILETTE, you might like this, but at the same time, it might not be to your liking. Why do I say this? Because Musk Extreme is a soapy bomb, full of white musk, balms, and light, clean aldehydes, so much so that it reminds us of freshly hung laundry in the sun, talcum powder after a relaxing hot bath, the bar of facial soap that wakes us up in the morning united to fresh water. The scent is refined, very sensual, warm and persistent, but lacks that blackberry nuance that is the hallmark of the original. Musk Extrême has an aldehyde structure, enriched by citrus, powdery, and musky accents. To emphasize and enrich the facets of the musk, the perfumer has added a generous amount of modern white musk molecules to the original formula. Musk Extreme immediately releases a burst of soapy aldehydes, mixed with something citrusy, bright, alcoholic, and light. The bergamot gives substance to the aldehydes, without making the opening too harsh, but reinforcing that sense of hairspray and talcum powder. You can immediately feel its bright and warm character, anything but dark. In the heart, the aldehydes give way to flowers, a little white, a little pink. The presence of the carnation is discreet. It is not intrusive, just as the soapy rose is shy, adding dustiness without being gelatinous, metallic, or opulent. Both flowers make the fragrance as close as possible to a luxury bar of soap. Instead, jasmine reigns supreme among the flowers, so androgynous, with its sometimes masculine and sometimes feminine touches. Although it may have overdosed, synthetic musk always remains clean, a little sour, without presenting those animalic, mouldy, or dirty facets of animal or vegetal musk, such as tree moss. A clean laundry musk. Although both vanilla and coumarin are present, the drydown does not appear mushy. Indeed, both exploit their powdery side to strengthen the root of the iris. I also miss the salty aspect of amber, perhaps drowned in the depths of the powdery and musky accords. Musk Extreme, once it enters the central phase, does not change, and remains firm on a powdery, slightly balsamic and soapy fragrance. this has a more floral character than the OG Musk. Although it is so delicate, the perfume adapts well to the colder months and, therefore, to the autumn and winter seasons, including early spring. It is suitable for both the office and free time during the day and in the evening, but I don’t find it robust to face the night, except for going to sleep between the sheets. I'm basing my thoughts on a bottle I've owned since February 2021 (BC 3214320A).

This reminds me a lot of musk by alyssa ashley, because I bought it because it reminds them of youth days, when people started use perfume, say those who have not had it .... but it is very cute and musk, for my part, do not use it so often.nja no picnic, but it's fun to run into old ones =)

I saw this being sold in Fenwicks on New Bond Street, London and couldn't believe how it had been marketed to look high end with a hefty price tag. The 15ml musk oil was also there and i only tried this version. The bottle was dark squat and designed to look high end. It smelt very gluey/soapy and was gloopy. Definitely not as gorgeous as the previous formulation in the regular AA musk oil in the transparent long tube glass bottle with the dabber (which is also sold in the flat round bottles as the same shape for skin musk oil). I would hunt down the older versions if youre after the musk oil. Update (26/3/19): received a perfume spray of this from a generous swapper and it smells just like how AA musk perfume oil smelt about 10 yrs ago. Pretty clean sweet musk scent. In fact this is the complete version of what the current AA musk is.

Alyssa Ashley musk perfumes have been my main scent since 1985. It’s me. I like a soft smelling perfume and everyone knows my perfume as this. It suits me perfectly because men have always gone crazy over how I smell. I use other perfumes occasionally and I love quite a few of them. But on most days I just can’t stand how strong smelling most perfumes are on me. They smell great on me and other people, but after an hour or two I have had enough of the stronger ones. I will break out the fancier ones to go out, but this is what I wear everyday.

EXTREME...???....really...??? There are very few scents that I have sniffed that I cannot "smell much",and this is one of them!!! What I do smell (barely) is not really a "bad" smell...but...No sillage/projection.... After applying,it seems like a "final drydown" is instant. Sorry....a big "meh!" for me.

I love this! I have always worn the original Alyssa Ashley musk which seems to really suit me. Musk Extreme is softer and more rounded than the original one. I just think that it is too expensive for what it is. I don't want to pay £40 for Alyssa Ashley although I have bought two bottles so far ha ha
