Musk for Men

A nice fragrance that's easily unisex but listed as being for men. For me, it was a blind buy and I was able to pick this up very inexpensively. Not being sure what to expect, I was hopeful that it would be decent - and it is. As I'm sniffing this, I find it very reminiscent of HdP 1725 with a slight violet note added in. After spraying this, the first thing I notice is how powdery it is. Powdery, as in baby powder and it's the dominant note. From there, it's a violet musk mix. The musk is the more subtle of the two and while the violet is there, it's not a sharp violet, like the scent you would expect from smelling one at a nursery. Still, both the violet and musk notes are overpowered by the powder. I don't pick up citrus notes at all. Overall, this is a like for me and while I would have preferred less baby powder, it's still nice, clean and fresh smelling. It'll be interesting to see what the ladies think of it. Projection and longevity are above average. ** Edit ** ------------ Over time, this fragrance has mostly been sitting on my shelf, until I was doing some cleaning and rediscovered it. The more I smell it, the more I like it and even if it's not a frequent wear, it's perfect for putting on at night after getting out of the shower.

A really strange fragrance. Expected it to be more musky than the feminine/unisex version which I have worn for years. Actually think at the beginning it smells like Dana's musk for men but this only lasts for first 10 minutes. It then morphs into a violety woody smell. Not particularly long lasting but it comes and goes. Also I smell a bit of Burberry touch for men and even Brosseau's Ombre Rose. All in all quite pretty but don't expect a lot of musk as it is a clean smell and don't think this would offend anyone. Suitable for a spring day, maybe outdoors and any age group for an everyday fragrance. I bought the edt so not sure about the longevity of the aftershave but lasts for about 2 to 3 hours on me. General opinion..nice for a cheap purchase and not one that everyone wears.

The bottle I have is called cologne spray for men. I just did a dab sampling but it didn't smell like anything for a while, as if it had no top notes. When it finally came together it had an interesting licorice type of quality and was a little sweet. I have to try this again soon because I am curious as to what a regular wearing will reveal. I found it in the bargain bin so I'm pleased at this point. UPDATE: With 3 sprays to the chest,I get a light, slightly sweet scent, with a touch of violet and not much else. There's not that licorice quality I perceived with a dab sampling either. Overall, not for any kind of aficionado, but rather for someone who just wants an inoffensive scent at a budget price.
