Musk

Why isn't this the potent musk you remember? Two words: Nitro Musk! Banned in the US since 1979 they were in most if not all of the old musk oils. Contrary to what some believe "real" musk hasn't been used in most mainstream fragrance for almost 100 years! Nitro-musks were once used extensively in perfumery and are now largely prohibited in many countries because they can't be fully cleaned out by sewage treatment plants and accumulate in fish and such. The kicker is that there is no conclusive proof that they're actually harmful. Polycyclic musks are mostly used in fragrance and londry products these days. They far inferior in strength, longevity and odor to the nitro musks. Macrocyclic musks are also not a good replacement for nitro musks. Although they closely resemble the true scent of real deer (Tonkin) musk, half the human population are anosmic to it. That means there is 50% chance you can't smell it! EVER! So fragrance companies use several musk chemicals in the hopes that you'll smell atleast one! So now you know why fragrance can smell so much different between people. Alicyclic musks I don't know too much about, their sort of new but from what I've heard they are also no match for nitro musks.

I have this one, but in the oil form, for more than 20 years. It hasn't changed at all.... First time I smelled it, was on my cousin when we were 18/19 yo. I bought it because I really loved how it smelled, but unfortunately, it never smelled on me as much as good as it was smelling on her. She wore it for years. Few weeks ago, we were sitting in front of her house and started talking about perfumes and she said that this was her favourite perfume and that she can't find it for years anymore... She tried it in non oil form but wasn't getting from that one what she was getting from this perfume oil. When I told her that I still have, almost untouched bottle of that oil, she was shocked. I will give it to her for her birthday, which is today and she should come tomorrow... I hope she will... This perfume belongs to her more than it belongs to me. It was her signature for many years, and she is mostly using perfume oils. I'm not using it anyway because it just gets to cloying on my skin, but when she wears it is light and airy ... Simply beautiful.... 🥰🥰🥰 ... It's a shame that we don't have it in the oil form anymore. It was so good!

I have tried the edc, edt, edt and the perfume oil. The edc was like an awfully cheap hairspray - and i wonder where the low ratings are concerned, depend on the version tested. The edt is lovely. Having said that i was anosmic to that but after resting my nose for a while (from strong fragrances) the scent was apparent and a lovely sweet fresh skin scent reminiscent of a baby was noted. The edp is a muskier version of the edt and sweeter. The perfume oil is not as musky as the edp but a stronger version of the edt. It lasts for several hours and i get the occasional waft. I think you have to have a certain skin chemistry to pull the oil off. I find that i have better results with perfume oils in general. The perfume oil is what i wanted Jovan Musk oil to be on my skin - which is fleeting on me and i can hardly smell it. However the AA musk perfume oil is quite strong for a musk oil (unless i have overloaded my nostrils with too many fragrances) and has a floral soapiness about it without being harsh yet a pleasantly clean scent. If the edt lasted longer then this would also be my fav but the perfume oil is my preferred choice.

First time, blind buy, 100ml straight away since the original perfume was created by Houbigant and the seller claimed the EDT was also by Houbigant. I am quite puzzled by the annotation at alyssaashley.com:"A rich, oriental blend of over 100 of the world’s finest ingredients unite to create Musk Eau de Toilette", - as I did not catch just as many olfactory ingredients. To me it is as light and delicious as a fizzy drink, which I could enjoy forever! The opening is the first sip - sweet, addictive, with bubbles in your face, and the rest is a top up to go with the rest of the day. Impressive longevity for an EDT of 8 good hours, unsure if there is any trail, but I am usually happy to wear a skin scent that only I can feel during the office hours. It is an unexpected gem and I am going to stock up on EDP and oil, to see if I can get the bubbles popping up for a longer period of time. Anyone with so called "colder" type of skin are probably going to have the same experience with this loveliness as me. Head notes: Sicilian Bergamot Heart notes: Rose, Jasmine and Ylang Ylang Base notes: Iris, Oakmoss, Vanilla, Tonka Bean and Musk

goodness this is nice! I got the EDP for a great price on Fragrancenet, needing to add something for free shipping trusting that I enjoy classic yellow 70s musks and honestly I like this better than the youtube reviewer touted fragrance I'd set out to order. This Musk ties for my favorite with Reminiscence Musc -- which is sweeter and more ylang-y and i might like it a little more on merit, but is on the other hand discontinued, and also took about a year to mature into its 'real' scent, so this one wins out overall. AA Musk EDP is great right out of the box. It's warm, it's cozy and sweet but not too sweet, it has subtle but lasting projection. This is a warm 'clean' musk but not a cold, antiseptic-ambrox one like many modern popular 'clean girl' scents, which makes it very familiar and friendly without that overly-scrubbed feeling. goes a little powdery in the drydown with the rose, iris and moss, but it's more an earthy powder than a powder puff feeling if that makes sense. quite similar to a couple of kuumba made classic musks like 'oriental musk' and 'wind dancer' but with better longevity.

I really like this as an after bath scent. It smells soft and clean and faintly soapy. It’s classier than Jovan, Skin and Coty Wild Musk, and layers well with most other fragrances. My favorite combo is to layer this with Byredo Gypsy Water-it smells amazing, you can thank me later :) This was a blind buy from FrangranceNet but I felt safe doing so because musk agrees with my body chemistry. It’s less than $20 and I use it mostly at bedtime or when I’m hanging out at home. Edit 7/9/22: Reached for this scent this morning after my shower and it might as well been alcohol that I sprayed on myself. I’ve only had it for a couple months, and all the musk oil has evaporated and now it only smells like alcohol. I can detect no musk scent, even on paper. I’ve only used about 1/4 of the bottle ( that must have been the part that had the musk scent) oh well, this seems to be the norm for just about every inexpensive fragrance out there. Another one for the trash bin.

To me this smells like the cleanest and fluffiest cat ever and it's the most comforting scent. And my cat really likes it. It has no gender, it's just relaxation and cosines in a bottle. Musky and powdery, clean but a little bit animalic. This has been one of my favourite perfumes over 20 years and I love the shower gel too. My only complaint is that the longevity and sillage are not that good and I need to spray quite a lot. But sometimes with 10 sprays it lasts 12 hours on my skin. I would pay much more if it would be stronger. But what can I do. I still love it. Just LOVE it. Edit: If you like Alyssa Ashley Musk but find it too weak or can't really smell it, try Cassandra by Jeanne Arthes. (Yes I know, but try it anyway.) It's very much alike. Very powdery, soapy with prominent ylang ylang and warm Egyptian musk. It lasts longer and costs nothing. So good and I've got so many compliments.

This is a wonderful fresh floral musky perfume. To my nose, I mostly find the perfume to have green, powdery and musky notes. There is also a cool, crystalline scent in this perfume which I really love. I detect the Iris, the Musk, the Geranium and the Oakmoss the most. I also got whiffs of Bergamot and Rose. I find this more of a night fragrance. I usually see Autumn to be the right season for it but I think it can be suitable for Summer nights as well. Despite its affordability, the fragrance has a slight elegant appeal to it. I think this type of fragrance is good for the night life. Like going to bars, nightclubs and the like. I also think this is good to wear for formal occasions and for fine dining. The scent lasted like 6 to 7 hours on my skin which impressed me. Sillage is about an arm's length. Overall, I love this perfume.

I am in the lucky possession of an unused black rounded bottle of oil from the 70's and a newer clear round bottle of oil. The newer bottle is not the currant bottle sold today, it looks different but I don't know from when. (80's, 90's or 2000's) The old fragrance is rich, creamy, slightly soapy and lasts all day and all night! It's reminiscent of Jovan Musk or more accurately Jovan is much like Alyssa Ashley. The newer one is obviously the same fragrance but more soapy and the silage is not there. The lasting power is good but not half of what I found in the older bottle. All in all it passes. I have yet to try the newest bottle and if it hasn't changed much from the last incarnation than I will be happy with it. Buying vintage fragrance is time consuming, expensive and risky as many will have gone bad.

Okay, I tried this on today. The initial blast was awful, it smelled like hairspray. I thought that AA won't work on my skin, and moved on. But after an hour or so it started to lose the hairspray quality, and moved on to be softer and sweeter. Well, now, after six hours, one of them in the sauna, it smells wonderful. Just like my grandma. It's musky and earthy but clean at the same time. I love, love, love it. But would I buy it? Hmm, well, I don't feel for the beginning, not the slightest. But maybe, if I sprayed it on the night before..? Just a thought. Or maybe it works better in the oil form? It's not too expensive, so maybe I could get a bottle of this.

This used to be my favorite as a teen. Now my taste has changed or they just aren't making this the way they used to! Gosh it was so good way back when, you got light headed just sniffing the the scent on the air after you put this on. I still like it ok, but I agree it's kinda hairsprayish. I wouldn't bother with it except for the fact, there's still a TINY bit of that craved original scent. That nostalgic scent still hiding in this, brings back such sweet memories of youth. Without any memories of the time, this perfume would be about worthless to me. NOT that it's bad, it's just not near what it was. I don't think I'd buy it without these sweet memories.

Nothing to says about this scent just a month has 30 days & I wear this scent around 20. I can't bear if I see that the perfume has left leass than 20% of the bottle & I need to stock it up as sooooon as possible. I am be like this for 6 years since I found this scent. The body lotion is also work great as it could be stay on your skin with moderately sillage for day without top up with their EDT. This scent is unintentionally sexy while it's innocent in the same time. I always got compliment from many people and ask me what's that scent. Surely that i keep it as my secret to avoid my surrounding people has the same scent with me! hahaha.

This is my signature perfume ever!!! Alyssa Ashely Musk... I got Perfume and Oil Vintage Version at eBay I always keep stock of this perfume. I can't live without with this scent. I wearing Alyssa Ashley Musk everyday to work. it's like a good luck charm to me. I feel comfortable and calm at my work with this scent. Very subtle, warm, sexy, skin scent... I do not use a current version one. cause, the scent is not a musk. it's like a hair spray or water to me... I wish that the old formula will come back to the perfume industry. very disappointed recently version's perfumes... Anyway, I LOVE Alyssa Ashley Musk sooo badly...

A great all year rounder, the scent is a musky, white floral as described above and not too strong, affordable and can definitely be used by all genders. At first, it smells a bit like hairspray, but when it dries down leaves a lovely light fragrance that won't give people a headache. It's starting to become my go-to perfume, still a classic after more than 50 years. You have to try it at least once in your life, you won't be disappointed. Great for people on a budget that still like to smell good and fresh. I have both the EDP and the EDT, but that's another whole review.

My aunt wore this as her signature scent. She is my favorite relative. I have great memories of her. Even though she was much older than me, this did not smell like an "old woman." This didn't smell too young either. It was very relevant and ageless when I would smell it on her. She always offered to share it. I loved the smell on her. I appreciated it on her with her chemistry. I didn't feel a personal connection to wear this, it feels like it belongs on people I would love to be around but not necessarily my go-to fragrance.

Starting off,at first I get a blast of alcohol. Then,what I smell is nice,clean and fresh,but it's so light I can barely smell anything. I have to put my wrist right up to my nose to smell it. Too bad,because what I do smell is nice. Maybe it is because I got the toilette version,but that's all they had. I want to keep this,but I'd probably have to bathe in this in order to smell it. Perhaps I shall give this another chance. Perhaps.

This smells really good! Very similar to Jovan Musk. I don't know if it's just me, but I get kind of a fizzy citrus soda vibe from this. It smells clean and soft but a little effervescent. As others have said, longevity is terrible. What a shame! I got this to try in the EDT but it also comes in EDP and I wonder if that would last longer. I just don't wanna drop $30 if it's still basically a body spray like the EDT is.

Unfortunately i cannot review the oil here. The oil is the best. It is fresh, musky, clesn, warm sexy, comfy. My go to scent when i want some comfort. To me it is noticable but not too in your face or obnoxious. But when i wear it i also am afraid it might be considered childish or tacky but i love it. Sillage for me is moderate and lasts about 8 hours. I get compliments wearing this.

Whenever I feel this perfume I think of my mother. It is perfume since I am very young and it reminds me of many memories. He feels very good and fits her perfectly. By cons, I would not wear this perfume because it looks less like me and because this perfume is the smell of my mother for me. I advise you to go and feel it, it feels really different. :)

This was a pleasant surprise! Smelled it for the first time today. At first spray, it might seem like it has this «soapy» scent. Give it a few minutes for it to blend into the skin - and it smells absolutely amazing! Smells mature, yet musky and sweet. A perfect mix of these three! The bottle is really «meh» - but it’s content is giving life!!

The old perfume formula was heavenly; rich, soft, intoxicating and long-lasting. I loved it. It was the first perfume I ever bought myself when I was in high school, about 25 years ago in 2001-2002. The current perfume formula is garbage: sharp, cheap-smelling, short-lasting.. smells bad. It's a real shame. I wish I had the old formula back.

This was my grandmothers signature since the beginning. She always reminisced how good this used to smell before synthetic musk. I just smell her in this. She passed just recently, and I find my self thinking I should buy a bottle just to remember her by. It may not be super expensive or niche, but I like it. It's safe and comforting.

It's soooo light, but the smell itself is amazing. Soap bar-like but powdery, clean but vintage. It has something so 70s about it, it reminds me of when I was a toddler at my grandparents' home and my grandpa had just finished shaving. Could it be that he had this...? It's nostalgic and comforting. I miss you granpa :(

Love the smell but it doesn't last. I get 1-2 hours when applying both the oil and edt. I think I will finish what I have and stick to Jovan which ticks all the boxes for me. Edit: 2 months later, and while I was trying to finish the bottle, the lasting power improved much with 6 hours at least. I am in love!

The perfume oil version was my favourite. I recieved it in a swap a few years ago and it was sweet musky and intense. When i ordered two more bottles it just wasnt the same. As though it had been diluted - not sweet intense and long lasting. Sigh. The edt is very pretty but the sillage is minimal.

Beautiful and comforting. First spray is pure alcohol, wait a bit as it settles and you get warm, hopeful, soft musk. Just out the shower in summer. New York city type of scent. A friendly smile on the subway. It's perfect. Doesn't have massive sillage but it stays close to the skin and lasts.

This was my first perfume when I was a little girl. I don't remember the scent only that it made me feel so sophisticated to wear this while all the other girls smelled like baby powder or candy. I want to get another bottle for the memories.

I got this one as sample, and right away it hit me with nostalgia! I knew I've smelled it before when i was younger, and it's one of my favorite scents. Smells comforting, clean, and not headache-inducing.

It's a very lovely, very soft scent. It's the first unisex perfume I stumbled upon in a drugstore and I just had to try it, it didn't disappoint.

Haven't smelled it for 35 years. Smells just like i remember, and i still love it.

I love unisex fragrances, musks and vintage scents so this was something I was eager to try. Actually I first saw it in an old copy of Seventeen magazine from about 1983, they were doing a back-to-school spread and were encouraging purchasing the whole line of Musk products so you can layer your scent and keep the musk oil in your locker to freshen up during the day. I couldn't really picture using a musky body oil to "freshen up" but I was intrigued and made a mental note to check on eBay to see if there were any old bottles still kicking around, so I was happily surprised to find out they were still selling it at my local drug store. I purchased the body spray for $8 (the musk oil was $30 which is a bit much for a blind buy). I figured I would come back later for the oil. I wanted to love it. I really, really did. But it's pure hairspray. Maybe it's because I have aerosol spray, maybe the oil or cologne is better, but on me this never really blossoms past the hairspray stage. I don't even get a strong musk note from this, ironically. It's main note is hairspray with base notes of soap and baby powder. I was expecting something I would have to use sparingly because it was so musky and strong, something obnoxiously vintage like Drakkar Noir or patchouli oil. That being said, I've kind of made my peace with what I got. It's a very clean, unoffensive scent. It's unisex only because most people won't even know you're wearing a scent. They'll just assume you're freshly showered and hairsprayed. Not at all what I expected, but for those days when I don't feel like making a big splash and just want to smell "nice" I'll definitely be reaching for this. Edit: I realized on my skin this smells exactly like Johnsons Baby bar soap or Ivory soap. It's what I was hoping Pure Soap by Demeter would be. I might have to purchase the oil after all and see if it gives off the same soapy vibe, if so I'll be wearing it a lot more often!

i just got a bottle of this one (very inexpensive) and i do like it a lot! well i am a lover of simple musk fragrances and musk is my favorite note in perfume, so this is no surprise! i have no memories of this, i have never before smelled it in my earlier years nor i know someone who used it, i do not think it was sold in any form in the country i come from, so i do not have any associatiations. i had no idea how it smells until i saw this bottle in one of the inexpensive stories here, i smelled and i liked it imediately, and it was inexpensive so i bought it. well, my impression is that i like it a lot. it reminds me of Serge Lutens Clair de Musc and Body Shop White musk and Jovan White musk, all of those i like quite a lot. of those three i perceive Serge Lutens as a modern scent, Body shop White musk as quite - our -time and Jovan White musk has a bit of old school vibe for me. This one it is very good simple subtle not sweet musk, which i like a lot. i do not smell any flowers, which is a good thing for me, i am not a fan of flowery scents at all. this musk scent is especially good on warm summer days, summer evenings after shower, anytime actually since it is so subtle. i see myself reaching for this a lot, especially now in summer, when i can not tolerate any sweetnes in this sea of sweet scents with vanilla overload. simple musk scent is so refreshing and so good and so subtle.i do like it a lot. i recomend to try it for any musk lover and for anyone who likes simple non sweet not strong scents.

This was created the same year I was 1969! I went back to the CVS near me and got a half ounce of the perfumed oil. I really enjoy this... This begins with a very "vintage" feel to me, and is somewhat linear (so far anyway); but is rather comfy and a tad "perfumey", no doubt from the aldehydes! It has a bitter citrus and dry floral feel, at first, and the heart florals (in the oil at least) are quite muted and thoroughly blended. I can sense the violet's powderiness and some cool iris, and the others are not so noticeable. There is a kinda of flowery aura to this, but the musk is very clean and sort of sweet on me. Amber is there as well; and perhaps some oakmoss, but there is by no means a heavy amount of anything. This has a slightly feminine air, but not so much that a man could not make it work. Tonka adds a subtle warmth and this is very much (as someone below noticed) a comfort scent. It reminds me of older perfumes in the way it feels and the way it smells, but is not an "old" scent at all! Just great for lounging around the house or adding a few drops before bed...some may even find it "date" worthy. Sillage: good Longevity: above average Overall: 3.25/5 Very interesting, not the typical 60s scent; and not exactly modern either. More of a vintage born too late or a very mature new release. Musky, for sure, but clean, sweetly smooth and a tad flowery...I like!!

I remember seeing this for sale when I was a teenager, but I never sampled it and none of my friends wore it. We wore a lot of loves products, Jovan Musk, and Cody wild musk etc... My mother still wears Jovan and Cody and I quit wearing them and most musk's because of that. I decided that I needed a true musk in my collection but didn't want it to be Jovan or Cody, so I gave this a try. This starts of very masculine w/ lots of bergamot, lavender and geranium, very aromatic. So, my husband decided to wear it. It starts masculine but ends up in the dry down a very powdery, vanillic musk that is feminine. He doesn't know if he wants to wear it again, he is still thinking about it, but he says he loves it for me, and I like it as well. It is just different enough from Jovan and Cody for it to be my own musk and I won't smell like my Mother. And a steal, so inexpensive. It is really cool the prices you can buy older fragrances for. It makes me wonder why I still sample expensive brands. Curiosity mostly! This is a great musk w/ masculine/feminine character, it can go either way. Edit: 2/18/22 While I like this the performance isn't as good as I would like. My search for musk continues.

This reminds me a little of Chanel No. 5, not saying it smells like it, but the way this perfume works and unfolds is very similar: it just needs more patience than others! It doesn’t just bloom instantly, you have to wait for it. The opening can be really sharp. On my skin it smells a bit like Dove soap at first (clean, slightly stingy, almost too fresh) I don’t enjoy that first moment at all but after about 30- 60 minutes, the sharpness fades and the musk settles and warms. It turns into a warm musky hug. That said, this is very skin-dependent. On some people it may stay sharp, but on others it smells addictive. Personally, I like to spray this at first (or use the lotion version), then layer it with a more feminine body mist or a light essential oil blend to make it more unique and feminine. Love this stuff.

I reviewed the body spray off this, but I recently purchased the perfume oil. I don't use it often because it's a bit boring, honestly. It's good for when I just want to smell clean. It's very soapy, if you've ever used Johnson's Baby Soap (the bar kind that comes in a pink box) you might recognize this as to me it's nearly identical. I find it interesting that this scent boasts about being unisex, because it smells so powdery and that's not a note often found in men's scents. I think I would like or at least respect this fragrance more if it wasn't so SHY. I've used the body spray and oil, and I've tried the eau de toilette at a store, and none of them have lasted over an hour. The silage is not bad too although I suppose this isn't the type of scent that's meant to be loud.

Quiet and strong at the same time. that's what I love about Alissa Ashley Musk DNA. more would be intrusive. it's needless to say, that people tend to underestimate becoming nose blind after a few hours, even more, when it's as inoffensive as that one. and when making the usual mistakes. it is a powdery, pleasant musk scent with a tiny bit of Iris. it reminds me of the one in Dior Homme Intense. I use the body lotion, which can be used alone, or for layering. because of layering: remember what Roja Dove said about layering fragrances with a body lotion: first apply the fragrance, then use the lotion. yes, that is exactly the opposite of what most people do believe. if someone prefers the fragrance, there are 3 versions: EDT, EDP, and oil. all can be found on their website.

I love the way perfumes are able to bring back memories you didn't even know you had: I smelled the tester for Musk by Alyssa Ashley and immediately felt like I was 5 years old again, in my gymnastics class (my teacher must have worn this because I thought of her)! Musk by Alyssa Ashley is a clean, pleasant musk scent that stays fairly close to the skin. It's somewhat reminiscent of White Musk by the Body Shop, which I loved, as a teenager. There is a powdery note there, too, but I have a really hard time picking out any specific notes other than musk because they're so well blended (doesn't the description say it's blended from over 100 ingredients?). Overall, I think it's a pleasant, somewhat sexy fragrance that has been popular for decades for good reason!

I love this and remember when it first came out. I never knew a cologne existed as we always bought the oil when I was young. It was in a small round, black bottle and smelled like heaven. This was before chemicals replaced real musk. There is no comparison to the real deal. (Forgive my sins musk animals.) The cologne is didsappointing, but the oil is still nice. Just musk, cozy, clean musk. I have African musk, White musk, Hymilayan musk, all kinds of musk, but have no idea white kind of musk this is. It is the kind that smells good! PS- The clear round bottles smell better than the clear column shaped bottles. Why? I don't know. They are not alike. The round one smells like musk. The column shaped smells like old time Mum Deodorant.

This is the classic, clean white musk that won't offend anyone. It's perfectly versatile, it's safe, a good blind buy or gift idea, extremely office-friendly, also outdoorsy, laid back and careless. While there is nothing too impressive about it, it can be a great option for someone who needs to have a little bit "sterile" professional presence and while it won't sweep anyone off their feet, it will lift your mood and make you feel fresh and clean. To my nose, this has nothing to do with Chanel 5, which is a very woody aldehydic concoction, of which I cannot detect the muskiness at all. Of course, they might share the cleanliness and vibe, but it doesn't go any further than that, to me.

I still have “nose memories” of this perfume being strong, musky, powdery, soapy and fresh at the same time. Back in high school (‘90s) you would use this to feel clean and make yourself perceived as clean from the people around you. Being a unisex fragrance, it was also a way to blend with male teenagers who where wearing the same scent and the black and white commercial images were definitively hinting to a scent used to attract a man (or a woman). I recently bought this perfume and it doesn’t match my memories, the strength and formulation definitively changed, it’s just a faint version of what it was.

I started using this musk when I was in my teens, that was quite awhile back. But Alyssa Ashley Musk is still my favorite. It is different from any other musk that I have ever smelled. Its not that in you face kind of fragrance that alot of other musks are. Its soft, feminine, and drys down to a soft powdery sexy scent that lingers. It doesn't overwhelm but it stays. If you can find the lotion and oil it makes a great combo to layer the fragrance. This is one of my all time favorite perfumes that I still wear even after all this time. update: its very diluted and could only smell the alcohl

Musk by Alyssa Ashley is an iconic unisex fragrance from 1969, created in full youth and sexual revolution. This fragrance reminds me overwhelmingly of a dear cousin of mine who wore it in the legendary 80s. I remember that she owned the oil version with the most intense and daring formulation. Comfortable and reassuring musky fragrance that has its own distinct connotation, absolutely different from all other musky fragrances. Unfortunately, the easiest to find version is EDT which is too fragile and volatile. Oily version is much more resistant and lends itself very well to layering.

I recently added this little pretty to my collection, and I'm so glad I did. To me, it is comfort in a bottle. Evokes feelings of being in the most comfy of lounge wear, wrapped in a handmade quilt, snuggled on the couch, binge watching a favorite series or a movie marathon. My only tiny complaint is that the sillage is extraordinarily poor, and my perfume-eating-skin turns this into a skin scent almost instantly. But it is so soothing and calming, I just keep the bottle close by and respray often. Thankfully this one is affordable enough that I don't mind. Highly recommend!

Very subtle, even with 3-4 sprays (I don't spray any perfume more than that). Clearly suitable for anyone who wants to smell put together, but not hit others' noses with the scent. Office friendly. If you hate anything sweet and mainstream that is now trending, try this Musk instead. It's not dated and it's very unisex. Some people will say it smells like "grandma" or "auntie", but who cares? If you like it, wear it. I also tried the edp version, but it felt kind of harsh compared to this edt. Weak to moderate longevity.

This morning a went to rite aid and picked up four musks. Skin musk, Jovan musk, coty wild Musk, and Alyssa Ashley. Alyssa Ashley was the best, and the only one I'm keeping. Its soapy and clean, definitely a "your skin but better" scent. So well blended that you can't pick out any one note, besides the musk, which melts into my skin and disappeared. It's unimpressive but definitely inoffensive, but for $12, it's a keeper! Might grab the deodorant if I can find some, it will blend easily with my other scents.

We actually get along really well this little old lady and me. We have known eachother for alomost an entre generation now.. Amazing she is. Musky, rose, light and powdery. She` s not offensive or overwhelming. She`s is subtle, feminine and clean. My bottle is almost empty now, but I ` ll for sure buy another again... like I did since my teenage years. Silage and longevity is moderate and so is the Price..A classy classic which I will hopefully never grow apart from
