Vanilla

I bought this as a blind buy. Im a vanilla lover. I love everything vanilla. First time I tried it - I must be honest - I was dissapointed. I had other expectatons, but from prevoius experience I know I need to try a perfume a few times before really tell an honest opinion. After a few times I started to love this. First time It was like the vanilla sugar powder you use in cooking with a hint of sunscreen added and something I could not pin point. It was weird as the sunscreen scent keept annoying me and I thought I would not like this perfume at all. Well, after trying this a few times and my boyfriend saying I smell like cookies (He thought I had eaten cookies, and im like "Uhm..no, I havent had any cookies") I really started to enjoy this perfume. Its sweet, vanilla sugar powder, soft buttery cookies, vanilla ice cream. For vanilla lovers out there I do really recommend this. The vanilla scent last very long if sprayed on clothes. Its a skin close scent, but can be detected if you have somene at an arm length. If you wanna smell like a delicious vanilla cookie this is a perfect perfume for you!

I have the edt version and I've tried the edc in store once. They're pretty similar but I haven't tried them side by side, the edt lasts much longer though. I find it extremely similar to Solinotes Vanille, both in scent and longevity. The main difference is that the sweetness in Solinotes is almost mentholated and intoxicating to a degree that makes it overwhelm any scent you try to layer with it. Alyssa Ashley on the other hand blends into other scents and warms them up (I find it especially useful with some of my cheaper dupes that need some rounding out). I've tried loads of vanillas for layering, and for my purposes this is the best one because it's longlasting, really linear and blends well. I don't really use either on it's own, but I can imagine Solinotes would be more interesting.

In my experience most perfumes who advertise themselves as vanilla-driven don’t actually smell like vanilla. At all. Maybe it’s because I tend to go for photorealistic gourmands, but to me Vanilla by Alyssa Ashley is one of the only true vanilla scents I’ve tried. And considering its extremely low price, it’s a no brainer. Longevity is pretty good too. It’s sweet, but not nauseating, and the dry down is delicate but you can tell it’s still there. Someone on Fragrantica Italy said it smells like childhood and I have to agree, it’s nostalgic and comforting at the same time, like baking cookies with your mum on a sunday afternoon. It’s my go-to daily perfume

Absolutely in love! Smells like pure vanilla with a caramel touch. This was the first perfume I bought that made me love warmer tones. I usually wear aquatic and fruity perfumes. But have been wearing all december and will keep wearing this forever. It's warm and sweet without being nausious. Feels like newly baked cookies. As for the longivety it could be better, it last pretty well on clothes but I have to reapply it for others to smell it without giving me a hug. Have bought the EDP versio and hope it lasts longer.

wanna feel like a genuine snack? this makes you smell like you’ve been in a French boulangerie all day and works so well by layering it with other perfumes that compliment the very linear vanilla. some say it has very slight lasting ability and sillage but i have to disagree. for an EdT this is very long lasting (especially on clothes) and i’ve gotten so many compliments when wearing it, even from people just in passing. throw in the affordable price and you’ve got yourself a must have for vanilla lovers.

Lovely, 90s style vanilla, bordering on French Vanilla. I don’t find it to be plasticky or muddled by other notes like caramel, brown sugar, cotton candy, sugary frosting, florals, etc, which I dislike about many vanilla perfumes. I do detect the tiniest bit of citrus when I first spray it, but then it settles into a nice vanilla custard or pudding type of a vanilla scent. Huge bottle, too, so this will last a while. I think this is one of those seldom mentioned gems of the 90s, and I love it.

shocking how underrated it is!! from my experience wearing this as my signature scent for half a year it's a beautiful, simple, pure creamy vanilla scent. on me it lasts pretty long and has pretty great projection but its different for everybody. works very well in the summer, it's not overly sweet. i would definitely recommend it to any vanilla lover who doesn't feel like spending a lot of money on fragrances

This one is just great! Sure it doesn’t last, it’s quite shit in the department, but it smells so lovely. It’s a straight up comforting freshly washed sheets homemade cookies type of scent. I use it as a bed spray and spray it on when i get out of the shower and it’s heaven. I dont recommend it as an actual stand alone perfume but for that price you can’t go wrong.

i was really surprised about the citrus notes listed, i don't smell any citrus at ALL on me. it has very sweet undertones but leaves a super smokey-sweet vanilla on my skin. i hated this at first because i thought it smelt super incense-y and mossy, but after a few days of sitting on my shelf it's gotten sweeter and more musky. i love it!!

I really like this one! It ́s a warm, sweet vanilla scent. I ́m almost out and I would definitly repurchase again. It ́s quite similiar to "Yves Rocher - Bourbon Vanille", even though I think that one is SLIGTLY better. I own both though and would continue to buy both because although their similiar they are also different. :) RATE: 7/10

It's wild how much my taste has changed in one year! I remember smelling this last year and I could not stand this scent. Recently I went to spray this on my sleeve out of curiosity and this smells gorgeus to me now. I'll definitely buy this soon because I feel this would be perfect to use in combination with almost any perfume, really.

This is a pure vanilla! Since vanilla is my favorite smell and in the food also my favorite taste I love this perfume.In the beginning I can't feel just vanilla but also a little lemon and maybe some jasmine but after 20 minutes remains just pure vanilla. Very similar if not identical with Vanille Bourbon from Yves Rocher.

I’m not usually into sweet or gourmand but I do love vanilla and this is pure photorealistic vanilla. It’s like sniphing vanilla powder out of the jar. I also associate ‘vanillekrans’ , the classic danish butter cookie. And it’s slightly boozy. Really love it. It’s for satisfying the Vanilla urge I get from time to time.

What a fragrance For the price and the minimal presentation it smells divine Vanilla with roasted nuts this is what I get I didn’t get any coconut from it It reminded me of other fragrances such as Elborn by carner Barcelona I loved it and enjoyed it very much It is proof that scents shouldn’t be overpriced Incredible

i love this perfume! the vanilla scent is like ice cream and cookies. my sister had this and i thought she had cookies with her. such a nice smell that u want more of. i dont know if it lasts that long cause i cant really smell it. but other people can. def recommend for a gourmand lover 10/10!

This perfume is special to me. Smells like native coconut vanilla shampoo so it brings me memories of meeting my husband because back then i used that shampoo <3 Besides that there is nothing very special about it. A sweet vanilla musky scent, vanilla that feels clean, very affordable

I have purchased this item a few times in the past, it’s definitely worth the cheap price. As a vanilla lover I could not dislike it-it smells like pure vanilla, except for the first 5-10 minutes when the main (rather unpleasant) note is citrusy.

I love vanilla and this scent is the perfect one. It does not smell like citrus or flowers it just smell like pure vanilla!! I love this one perfume. It smells very strong so it keeps with you a day or two. I just love it!

A nice soft vanilla that turns almost a tiny bit incense-like on my skin. I love that the citrus isn't overpowering at all, it's just barely there to make the vanilla a little bit more fresh. A great go-to daily scent.

Sweet, very classic, and pleasant vanilla. It evokes a nostalgic longing for the carefree '90s. The simplicity and coziness of the composition bring a lot of joy and pleasure to wear. It does require reapplication.

I received this as part of a bundle and am pleasantly surprised at how much I like it. Pure sweet vanilla with no weird notes. It's a very comforting scent and good for any season, any time. Highly recommend.

Beautiful vanilla perfume from the 90s! It is a bit powdery and sweet. Perfect for those hot summer days, and with a good layering, it will last for a while!

Sweet vanilla with a little hint of fresh lemon

this is what I would refer to in my head as a “supermarket perfume” simply because it’s a perfume that I have seen in plenty of supermarkets over the years, and for that reason alone never given a try. perhaps it makes me sound like a scent snob, but I figured that because it was so easily available in regular supermarkets — almost always snuggled in-between rows of shampoo bottles and cheese graters — it would probably be a cheap scent to match its humble price. but boy, was I wrong! this smells just like a perfectly blended vanilla scented candle, and I mean that in the best way possible. if you’re looking for a simple and sweet vanilla scent to use in your everyday life, then you will love this. I have the EDT and it works just as well as any EDP, which definitely took me by surprise as the snobby part of me was expecting a watered down vanilla that disappeared after five minutes. it has very good sillage and longevity, works for any season, and while it is both sweet and a little powdery, I don’t find it cloying at all. as a jasmine lover I also have to say that the hint of jasmine that peeks through after a minute or so is done just right and only adds to the appeal of the scent in my opinion. while I haven’t tried it myself but I’m sure it would work great for layering with other scents for an extra hint of sweet vanilla. I am SO glad that I put my prejudices aside and give this little gem a try, I will for sure be using it with lots of love and the chances of repurchasing a bigger bottle in the future are definitely high!

If you're indecisive between CocoVanilla or Vanilla by Alyssa Ashley, this is my opinion, since I own both the EDTs: - 'Vanilla' is warmer like caramel and reminds of Pink Sugar, but is most similar to Vanille Absolu; - 'CocoVanilla' is fresher and fruitier like Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche; - Vanilla is very linear and almost like a single note perfume; - 'CocoVanilla' is more complex and smells like a blend of notes; - Vanilla is more gourmand whereas CocoVanilla is more tropical/sunscreen. (If you care about clones...) I like this as a lighter alternative to DIVAIN's Vanille Absolu, which dries down too woody and leans masculine for me, but for this type of scent, my absolute favorite has to be Esenzzia's Vanilla 28, which has the best performance, with the most gourmand drydown between all of these, but is also the most expensive...

I have a very old bottle and the juice has gone darker than pictured here. I detect no citrus or florals, just the same pure gourmand, cotton candy vanilla that I find in my old bottle of OUTREMER VANILLE, which is also much darker in color than seen here. They make great little pick-me-up scents around the house but I wouldn't wear them in public. I don't feel they are a complete fragrance, it'd be like leaving the house with just a bra on as your top, maybe cute to some, definitely could grab some attention, but silly and uncomfortable for me. NOTE I much prefer both of these over SWEET VANILLA by Montale Paris as that one has a synthetic apricot/plastic accord going on that just ruins it for me. UPDATE Used up my bottle and won't repurchase as I have plenty of OUTREMER VANILLE and it has a nicer bottle anyway.

I recently got this eau de toilette after having read the reviews. It is a gorgeous warm vanilla sugar type of scent. I love it! Although, despite liking this a lot, it doesn't last long. On my skin (with proper moisturization) it lasts for about two hours with moderate projection before it dries down to a skin scent for another three to four hours. I did ask my partner and they couldn't detect anything after the six hour mark, so it's safe to say I hadn't gone noseblind to this. Definitely would need to reapply throughout the day, but for the cheap price it might be worth it to some people. Edit 08/06-23: Do not spray on clothes. I noticed it takes a good while for it to dry into the skin and as such, it may or may not stain the clothing. A+ for layering with other perfumes, though. 7/10

This was one of the first perfumes I bought myself as a teenager. Loved it then and really like it now. Can ́t say I smell anything more than vanilla in it but the vanilla is so sweet and warm and lovable. Let ́s talk about sillage. This is not a very loud perfume, maybe upon the first sprays people around you notice it but it quickly settles to become a skinscent. After three-four hours I have to put my nose on my wrist and arm to smell it and then it smells great, can ́t argue about that, but it can just as well be my own skinscent and not a perfume. One hour later there isn ́t even a trail left. Vanilla is a rather cheap perfume so you can afford reapplying throughout the day. I ́ts worth it.

not a fan of the top and middle notes, they smell a bit unpleasant on my skin(not necessarily disgusting or annoying, just the wet and somewhat synthetic bergamot/lemon clashes with the vanilla, but this doesnt last long) the drydown is a cozy vanilla cookie, its cute and comforting. i put this on whenever i want to just sniff my wrists or be comforted, a simple linear vanilla thats not cloying. sometimes it also smells like mild playdough (in a good way) with a hint of chocolate medium sillage and good lasting power on my skin - i have the EDC version btw, great for the price and im probably going to use all of my 100ml, a big like from me

I was so pleasantly surprised by this one. I'm all about vanilla, so I'm always hunting for great vanilla perfumes and this is one of them. This is soft, sweet PURE vanilla. It smells exactly like vanilla extract and it is perfect for what it is. I have the EDT version, so it's soft (not weak, just soft) and I imagine the longevity won't be the greatest but I am very happy to have this in my collection. It doesn't dry down sour, or strange - it's linear. And it's perfect just the way it is. I can't wait to layer this with other perfumes that need a vanilla kick to bring out the best in them.

In the diverse realm of Alyssa Ashley's vanilla fragrances Vanilla has been defending herself very well for more than 30 years now. The citrus connotation of juste pulvérisé is sour, fresh, ringing but well adhered to the bland, to the dry the slight floral note of jasmine harmoniously accompanies vanilla, without prevailing over the absolute and dominant protagonist: dry, absolute, smoky, breaking the historical gourmand prejudice that hovers over this fragrance but does not manifest itself at all, at least to my sense of smell. Sweet but not gourmand sillage. Interesting duration.

This is playful, fizzy vanilla with subtle citrus on the top and Jasmin. very sweet. I like it, despite it's not naturally smelling vanilla. The one in Alissa Ashley's is more like custardy vanilla, but it's really nice. Unfortunately, it induces headaches for me and I get dizzy. I tried several times because actually, I love the scent. perhaps it is because it is too sweet? I don't know. it's the first time that a fragrance has done this to me with such power.

I blind bought as I love vanilla and I am happy to have this in my collection. Super affordable and fairly long lasting. To my nose it is sugary sweet with a hint of powder. It reminds me a little of outremer vanille but a but lighter and the csp family which I am a huge fan of. I love wearing this alone and for layering. I used to use outremer for layering but now prefer this as it is a little lighter and doesn’t steal the show;)

Wonderful vanilla scent. This is a great starter perfume, or something that is good to layer on top of other perfumes. I often love a perfume but notice it lacks a little vanilla... then I layer this baby on and it is just awesome. If you like that straight, plain vanilla scent, take a whiff of this and you will be in vanilla nirvana. It is fairly cheap and I think readily available, if not in stores, online.

Cookie vanilla in a bottle, simple yet effective, not too cloying despite being a bit artificial. Not very strong or long lasting, but it's not a bad thing: as a HSP, I prefer it to other vanilla perfumes that are way too cloying and annoying. It is a nice scent, if you like smelling like a freshly baked vanilla cake. I like it, but not too often.

Smells like a well baked vanilla cookie or waffle cone. I don't really detect the citrus/jasmine, perhaps a secretive whiff initially. As it's so full and scrumptious, it's perfectly enough on its own but might also work well with citrus, monoi, florals. Moderate sillage & longevity on me, lasts around 5+ hours.

It smells like rainbow sprinkles to me and i love it. it’s a sweet and powdery vanilla with a bit of fruity undertones. It does not last long on my skin, but its also really cheap so i’m not complaining😝 though i do see this as a juvenile fragrance alone, i’d expect a kid/teen to wear this. 6.5/10

smells like icey vanilla icecream maybe cookies and cream icecream sometimes. for the first 10-20 minutes i don’t like the smell, smells like that cotton candy body fantasies kind of. it’s a little tiny bit musky, i hate musk but it’s not strong. pretty good and not too synthetic for 20 dollars.

Smells just like the white vanilla extract. Excellent value if you like that kind of frosting-style vanilla. It's very linear, I have to disagree with anyone saying it's faint or it doesn't last. This vanilla is fun at first but gets to be headache-inducing after several hours.

For some reason I'm getting chocolate or cocoa from this. EDIT: the more I wear this the more it smells like cocoa powder to me. Liked sugared sweet cocoa powder, the kind you make hot chocolate with. Really strange. Not unpleasant, I'm just puzzled by this

i really like it, it's a warm spicy vanilla and really smells like fresh out the oven cookies. on my skin its a lot sweeter than it was on the tester paper, but it's fine.

It’s a very sweet vanilla that also pulls citrusy on my skin, I usually use it to layer with another vanilla scent as I find this alone smells very young (12-15 ish) imo.

I find this similar to "Chocolovers Aquolina". There is no nuts and cocoa here, but it has that vibe and smell of cookies. A little bit synthetic, but still good.

I love vanilla scents however this once never really grabbed me. It was nice, but others were my favorite. Slighty musky, but a sweet vanilla none the less.
