I went to my favorite parfumerie on the hottest day of the year and was immediately introduced to Mavi by the saleswoman. Apparently it had just arrived. All the notes listed above are accurate. The bottle was also exquisite. It is what I would classify as a hotel scent, not necessarily similar to, but in the same realm as Wulong Cha. Citrusy, minimal and clean. I must say that I really enjoyed it on paper and almost purchased it. What kept me from pulling the trigger was that I didn’t think that it would last longer than 3-4 hours, that it was not going to stand out and that, for its price at 50ml, it wasn’t worth it. I’m almost positive that other fragrance lovers on Fragrantica will liken it to something else. I don’t have such an olfactive memory. Today I am wearing a sample of it. This is a straight-down-the-middle unisex fragrance. I tend to buy masculine -leaning fragrances so I’m glad that I withheld my wallet. It’s clean, fresh and sticks close to my skin. Very subdued. It has been an hour and a half since I sprayed it on and it smells like I showered about an hour and a half ago.. catch my drift? If you’re looking to announce your arrival, this isn’t it. The Mrs. gave her usual reference to anything citrusy that I wear.. “it smells like toilet cleaner.” But every fragrance I wear either smells like that or like cat p#ss to her, so take her opinion with a grain of salt. I like it but I don’t love it. 6.9/10
