Gelato Cotton Candy Craze

Update: after 3 weeks the longevity and sillage have absolutely blown up and this is my absolute best of the DNA now. Its just such a betrer execution of the concept than all the others I have tried. Original: This is a more fruity, more milky, more spun sugary, less musky, less linear take on Marshmallow Blush. There's also a lot more of the bubblegum quality here, and ultimately the drydown is pure super strawberry milkshake and a hint of flowers (luckily no more of my dreaded orange blossom) with no musk, none at all. And some strawberry cotton candy has been laid on the top. They are completely different in the drydown to me, here the drydown leans close to Arabiyat Prestige's Uhud, with more sweet strawberry and no rose but that very lactonic creamy quality. I never quite fully got strawberry milkshake out of MB but only the marshmallowness, like a bag of marshmallows dominated by the heavy ambroxan note. Here the DNA is very much improved, and this one is a beauty to me. I definitely prefer this!

Even though there is no marshmallow note from top to base, it still smells airy, fluffy, and powdery, almost like marshmallow‐flavored cotton candy. The bubblegum and cotton candy notes are soft and gentle, never too strong or juvenile. It reminds me of the marshmallow vibe in KYBM, but without the orange blossom or musky ambroxan. To my nose, this is one of the fluffiest perfumes I have tried in my marshmallow collection. The floral touches are faint, maybe around 10 percent, and they fade quickly, leaving behind a sweet, cloud‐like softness. For me, this fragrance feels like a dream come true for marshmallow lovers like me.

Smells great, but it’s just another kayali yum boujee dupe.

I saw the full ‘Gelato’ line for an extravagant deal so the voices in my head told me I had to buy. I will chip away at these one by one, but I’m going to say right off the bat, these are all hype, all style, no substance, and absolutely not ice cream or gelato inspired. 😪 ‘Cotton Candy Craze’ is the only good safe purchase of all these cones and its simply another YBM impression. Much more like ‘Pink Blush’ rather than ‘Marshmallow Blush.’ These are pretty okay fragrances, except the Mango one, that one is yucko and I might skip a review all together. If you too feel overwhelmingly compelled to get one of these cuties like I did, I’d say go with this. Nonetheless this is in no way reminiscent of a creamy frozen dessert and thats alot of the issue with this line. These scents just don’t reflect the deceivingly decadent bottles and its heart breaking. 💔
