Intense Oud

Ok, so I’m going to be the first to review this juice then! I’ll start by saying I’m a bit torn on this one, $20 200ml. It’s not actually too bad for a cheap pick up in Dubai. I picked it up in the airport and havn’t seen it available in Europe/UK or elsewhere from my very quick glance. I wasn’t expecting fireworks when I opened up the well packaged box, and to my surprise; the bottle and atomiser is good quality for the price. Noticeably the atomiser! Probably the best fucking atomiser I’ve ever used! The scent itself: A shockwave of cheap aroma chemicals that bear no resemblance to the listed top notes. I couldn’t detect lavender, nutmeg and whatever other nuances. What I’m hit with is a heavy, cloying and somewhat sweet cloud of headache. It definitely has a powdery accord that presumably is the lavender? 1 spray of this is enough - 1! Once the shock from the nuclear blast has cleared, I was surprised that I actually quite enjoyed the very linear fallout from this frag! It doesn’t pretend to be expensive, yet somehow it’s giving me those vibes. Yes, cheap OUD and patchouli aromachems that somehow come off ok! It settles into a warm ambient tune once the immense cloying bomb has worn away, and it really lasts on my skin. It’s a cheap package holiday in Marrakesh, slightly obnoxious at times, but familiar. The sun has gone and the night comes to life! Warm stone pavements, and a dull evening breeze cooling things off. This honestly isn’t OUD, it’s reminiscent but it’s just not. It’s screechy and then it isn’t. Value for money: 9/10 Bottle and spray: 8/10 Smell: 5/10 Wearability: 4/10 Special occasions: Why not Holy Grail: No Signature Scent: Probably not Dumb Reach factor: Nope Final verdict: 6/10
