Al Mas

Al Mas is a genuine favorite of all times of all attars. A Saffron Sugary treat is the scent . very slightly woody. Asrar is more of a sophisticated mature pastry. While Al Mas, almost identical is the cute sweet much younger sibling. Almost hard to distinct who's who. Both were loved. I wish they are reincarnated by the much loved and appreciated line of Amouage offerings in the future. Hopefully. They will be remembered as nothing less then unique, wonderful and something different in the best way. If one likes al mas 10/10then they will surely enjoy Asrar. both are leaning toward a cream confection gourmande. Al Mas is better than most fragrances very nice. If someone likes Lyric, Gold or Memoir Woman they surely may consider Al Mas.

Gorgeous perfume!! Gorgeous bottle!!! The oud and rose are perfect. Very rich and smooth and sweet and smoky and spicy and woody with wonderful saffron and oakmoss. It has a tang from the lemon and rosemary, especially at the beginning, but it does stay there and I smell it every now and then, and lovely flowers and spices and herbs. It's gorgeous. And it lasts forever, and has very nice, not too strong, sillage, which seems to always be appreciated by anyone near me; I often get lovely compliments. It's a gorgeous oud, deep and smooth, and the rose is vibrant and rich and very feminine. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Absolutely gorgeous Oriental chypre perfume oil from the one and only Amouage. The perfume opens with notes of lemon and rosemary and moves to a floral heart comprised of rose, geranium, lily of the valley, saffron flower and clary sage before settling into a dense mossy powdery base of moss, Oud, sandalwood, ambergris, cedar and musk. Excellent pronounced sillage, projection and very good longevity and unisex, although it always stays classy without overpowering. A beautiful, luxurious and transporting experience. Enjoy!

Now that this is discontinued and is become hard to find with price hikes of the unnatural levels. Try Kilian Back to black. It has that gentle classy sugary saffron honey.. I find it some to be a pleasant and wonderful substitute. With the refill bottles being 50percent less then buying the square bottle. al mas, you will be missed but soon forgotten. ... maybe not.

Nice stuff. Lots of saffron. I can smell the lemon and rosemary too. I hoped for stronger oud and rose notes, but only because I am a rose/oud addict. I don't think anybody would find this fragrance unpleasant. It's very distinct, but seems universally lovable. Pretty bottle.

i felt sad..this past few days when i got the news that amouage attar is not available anymore....

There is something both monumental and sobering when you return to a fragrance review over 10 years since you last reviewed it -- have I seriously been doing this for THAT long? And has it been THAT LONG since I checked this out? Anyway, this is one smooth SMOOTH scent right here. Sandalwood and cedar (I actually thought it was oak...) are the main characters in this, and traces of ambergris and saffron feature throughout (the saffron actually dies quite quickly, which is a disappointment), but overall this is quintessentially what Amouage was. I started hearing 'OGs' lamenting what Amouage had become way back in 2015-16, and I was lucky enough to nab a few of the original attars before they vanished, but MAN -- what Amouage has become now is just hard to take in. In the space of 10 years it has managed to go from an Arabian perfume house with slight western leanings to a fully-fledged western perfume house occassionally making the kind of perfume you would expect from a western perfume house who once heard about Arabian perfume on TikTok. This one isn't one of their best attars, but it has that DNA in it that makes me want to dive even further into the older, discontinued attars. Some perfume houses can't ever dream of having this kind of mastery -- imagine having it and cashing it all in order to churn out panty-droppers like Fate EDP 46 Iris De Nuit Extreme 2025 edition collab with Lil Xan with the commemorative lid that is limited to 2810 bottles only.

Gorgeous Middle Eastern oriental scent. There are lot of ingredients listed, but I mainly smell saffron, oud and rose. It’s delicious. If you are scared of oud like I do don’t worry, oud in Al Mas is very smooth, not skanky or harsh like most of the oud out there. I think both men and women equally can enjoy this beautiful attar. This stuff is very powerful, apply with care.

wonderful, smooth and just irresistible. why are these works of art discontinued??? oud silk mood (kurkdjian) anyone? the dna is there...
