Amber Sogara

What I adore the most about it is its long-lasting fragrance! 🕰️ Interestingly, it boasts more of a masculine undertone, yet it is perfectly unisex. 👫 The smell is incredibly smooth and light - making it super enjoyable and not overpowering at all. 💕

0.7ml vial from the official sample set, via the Harrods website. This is the most synthetic-smelling of the attars lineup and the one I liked the least, although it doesn’t exactly smell bad. Opens with a distinct ozone note, reminding me of the air ionizer my grandfather had in his study when I was a kid. There is also that ‘synthetic fresh air’ note you get in some laundry detergents, which also makes the whole ensemble feel a bit soapy. Some rose is detectable here, too - a similarly juicy rose note to that of Rose Aqor. The ambrette adds a slight warmth to the composition, but it still feels quite synthetic, a bit too shrill, and not particularly middle-eastern.

Different from the typical attar, this is rather a fluffy beige modern fragrance centered with musky buttery ambrette, and adorned by the dewy rose. This might not meet the expectation if you are looking for an attar by the rigid definition, while this is quite versatile to layer with other fragrances and suitable for daily wear without drawing too much attention in the office. Given the name with "amber", I did bore expecations on this fragrance. However, after one day wearing, ambery is not on the attribute list to my nose. This is bright and beautiful though, but as an attar, it could have been done better.

Out of all of the Amouage attars, this one I understand the least. I want to give this a few months before approaching it again. It is a very bright almost screaming in your face type of amber. Instead of the warm feeling amber typically provides, this one is like rapidly jumping in an out of a bath that is too hot. Maybe if mixed with a darker, more resinous or smokey scent, this will stand out. However, as of now, I never can find the occasion to wear it. Will update with new opinions.

I did not feel the amber in this perfume, I expected it to be ambery, smoky, balsamic, warm with a tuch of rose, its rather screaming green and bitter opening turns a bit smoky in a while. Reminds me of my dad's old Aramis prfume, definitely not for me

Mediocre floral aldehyde with some ambrette thrown in. Adding to my woes is the faulty bottle I received with the rubber stopper of applicator floating in the Attar. Surely when you charge $540 a bottle for a scent you can do a better job with quality control @amouage. The feminine leaning scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. Very disappointed.
