Boundless

(READ TO THE END TO SEE MY SWITCH UP.) Update: it came in and here are my initial impressions on skin; This is like the niche version of tobacco vanille. Really similar tobacco and vanilla scent profile, but much more oriental, middle eastern, and has an amouage signature funk. Gorgeous perfume. Update #2: the longer Boundless sits on skin, the more mass appealing it becomes (pretty much that resinous “funk” begins to dissipate) and you’re left with a gorgeously blended perfume in the same family of tobacco vanille. It still has a much more middle eastern kick, but that is mostly in the first 30 minutes. This is my first amouage from their new creative director (I have enclave on the way too though), and I really understand why people have been upset. Let me rephrase that. By no means is this a bad perfume at ALL, in fact it would be most brand’s star perfume, but when you compare this to pretty much all of the past amouage’s it really does feel like a different brand compared to boundless. Final thoughts: this is a gorgeously perfumed fragrance, and the ingredients are extremely high quality. It smells amazing, but it’s nothing new. If the opening lasted throughout with that resinous funk, it would feel much more “amouage”. However, for people who can’t get along with the brand, it’s a great one to own because it’s still middle eastern-smelling while not being challenging to wear. My score as of right now is a 9.3/10. It’s gorgeous, and it’s better than tobacco vanille. I just miss that amouage artistic style that I look for in niche perfumery. Edit: yeah I was wrong. This is why you don’t write a review after only wearing it for an hour. I’m another hour in and the spices and resins and tobacco and shining so well. Smooth and now it smells much more “amouage”. It took a HUGE step away from tobacco vanille, and now smells absolutely NOTHING like it. But the first hour does which is why so many people say there’s a similarity. Theres not. Boundless has a spicy funk to it and that’s what’s making it so good. I was worried that it was super mass appealing and Amouage shouldn’t be... and I can say that it’s not. It’s not nearly as challenging as their past creations, but it’s not an easy going perfume. The spiciness and resin combo gives off a little bit of a dirty funk that’s so addictive. Score is at a 9.7/10 now. Someone previously mentioned a cumin note and I was so confused because there was not even a hint of that in the beginning. But now later in the perfumes lifespan, there is a stinky resinous and spicy cumin note that’s making it less mass appealing and so much more addictive.

This is an instant love for me. I have to say I'm a huge fan of warm spicy and ambery fragrances. This is both, and evoked a strong sense memory for me. When I smelled it, I instantly was struck with deja vu, thinking this reminded me very strongly of another perfume from long ago....I had it! It's a better version of the *original* Rose 31 marketed towards men, before Le Labo nerfed it with reformulations to make it more unisex and mass appealing. That combination of rose and cumin had me hooked back then, but after reformulations it fell off my list of frags. Anyways, Boundless is like if you took that original, and made it better in every way. The original Rose 31 had a cumin note that was sweaty, body odour like, dirty and animalic. The cumin note in Boundless is so well blended with the rose and other notes that it is comes off as dry and balsamic, and not dirty or sweaty at all. It's one of the few times I've smelled cumin used well. It has the rose-cumin accord at its core, but instead of that being all there is and a bit watery and transparent in the Le Labo version, it's surrounded with a symphony of warm spices, frankinsense, and deepened with amber. This version is undoubtedly masculine and strong, where Le Labo's was very androgynous and weak. This is so good, I keep smelling my arm. The projection on this is very, very good. One spray and the sillage will fill up a room and leave quite a nice scent trail. It's not nuclear like Black Orchid or African Leather, just a solid performer even with one spray, and I believe one spray is all you need. Really good fragrance, and Amouage is currently giving away free samples with any purchase on their website. A note on the House of Amouage, which is that you can instantly smell the signature and quality of the house. The perfumes are rich, dense, opulent, and super high quality. You can really smell the quality of the formulations. There's something about Amouage that when I put my nose on one of their fragrances, I get a ringing sensation in my nostrils, like a physical sensation akin to vibration. Who knows what that means, but it's interesting nonetheless. This is value for money, I think a full bottle would last for years given how powerful the juice is. I want to see how long my two 2ml samples last, then maybe consider getting a full bottle. I also have to make it through my other Amouage and MFK samples first. 10/10 Snifftacular!

I’ve sampled Boundless a few times since 2022 and I finally decided to pull the trigger on a full bottle, which I got for a good price: $374AUD/$247USD I typically don’t like sweeter fragrances, but I find Boundless to be the perfect balance of coziness and sophistication. As far as Amouage fragrances go these days, this feels like a bridging fragrance: the old style of Amouage meets their new direction. Boundless is bold & daring, yet very inviting. The opening is very spicy - cabinet levels of spices. After 5-10 minutes things start to mellow out, and by the end of the first hour we are left with a sweet, slightly syrupy, gorgeously spicy scent bubble. There’s a brightness to this fragrance that stops it from smelling stale or overly dark, of which I think would be unpleasant for this kind of fragrance. Over the hours this just gets better and better, it’s very addictive & comforting. I purchased Boundless to be a comforting companion this coming winter, especially during weekend while I’m hanging around at home, enjoying coffee on the couch and going on walks as the temperature drops. Boundless is ‘different’ enough to capture your interest, but will not distract you or others throughout the day. I think that is perfectly suitable to wear on a cold night out with friends & loved ones, it’s a really fun fragrance to experience. I will note however that for non-fragheads or new-comers to this hobby, that the spiciness may be challenging for the first hour. Less is definitely more, you will appreciate occasional whiffs of this high-quality fragrance - however this is will choke you out if you go overboard (like many amouage fragrances). I’m not saying this to be a ‘fragrance snob’, but it’s worth keeping an open mind when trying Boundless or most Amouage fragrances for the first time. Ultimately, Boundless is an experience. At this price point you should expect a fragrance to do more than smell nice, it should take you on a journey. That might sound corny, but that’s why fans of Amouage keep coming back. I’ve owned a number of different Amouage fragrances over the years; Jubilation XXV, Interlude, etc - Boundless is amongst the best from the house.

Wonderfully friendly and warm but also rather cunningly sophisticated - a gorgeous sweet treat with very upscale, even luxurious, spicing and a lacquering of the very finest resins. Not to mention genuinely delicious cacao and orange. For me it twinkles and lures like Christmas - an irresistible collision between a very upscale oriental myrrh/benzoin/elemi ball from some Mideast bazaar and the more downscale but still spherical charm of a Terry's Chocolate Orange*. Those sensory associations with all things festive mean that for me, this is MADE for lifting the spirits in times when the world seems cold, dark and cruel; it's a bit much to deal with in warmer weather or sunny days, but for snuggling with as a perfumed comfort blanket in winter, it's matchless. [ * For the non Brits reading: Terry's Chocolate Orange is a cheap but cheerful mass-market, orange-sized ball of chocolate, plain or milk, flavoured with orange oil and sold in the UK around Christmas, which somehow magically breaks apart into moulded orange-like 'segments' when you tap it on a table. It's basic but compelling - unlike Amouage Boundless, which is very much NOT basic, but conjures the same happy feelings. ] Totally unisex in my view and well judged enough to work in any context. Though I've nothing whatever bad to say about it in any guise, there might be some batch variations to watch out for - while my early decants of this were absolutely rich with dark cocoa solids and positively zinging with orange zest, a tester bottle I bought later on seemed was a little blander, less spicy and more centred on the mellow, un-smoky tobacco in the scent's central zone. Still not bad at all, but not quite the spectacular dark-chocolate ooze of the earlier iteration. So do test if you're going to hold it to the very highest of standards.

I like Boundless a lot, to summarize it is a tobacco and vanilla, but it is actually much more than that: in the beginning it is sweet and spicy with orange, cardamom and ginger, then it becomes a little less sweet and more resinous woody, with vanilla, tobacco, incense and I smell a lot of cloves in it. It projects well for a couple of hours, then becomes more intimate, the total duration is 6/8 hours. As with all Amouages, there are a lot of resins and incense, it is a complex, sweet but still masculine scent. One of the first times I wore it, and I didn't know it very well, I was grocery shopping and as I was walking down the aisles, I smelled this good, good scent and I thought: 'where does it come from? What is it ? I mean, nothing, it was me. It has a calming effect on me, it also makes me fantasize a lot and stimulates my imagination. It is a kind of perfume that when you smell it on someone else, you wonder: "Why don't I have a perfume like that?" Its drawback, compared to the others in the house, is its relatively short duration and unexceptional projection, at least after the first two hours, when it becomes quite weak, but very good, a vanilla amber with boozy and gourmand touches; in my opinion, it is perfect for autumn, it has something that reminds me of sweets, candied fruit, chocolate and something liquorish. Also, for me, it's a scent that lingers, sometimes even giving me olfactory hallucinations, in the sense that sometimes I can smell it in the air even though I haven't sprayed it... In summary, I would say: intense, delicious, comforting.

Nose Note #848 I'll be comparing this to Royal Taboo by French Avenue, because the two give a very similar experience, especially if you don't compare them side by side. Royal Taboo is less mature, sharper, more penetrating, it's sweet and definately less of a high end perfume compared to Boundless. Boundless smells more niche, more mature, not sweet at all, the spices are real spices and feel gourmand in that way, whereas Royal Taboo just smells a bit medicinal - that's what everyone has said about it. But maybe it's because Royal Taboo is duping Centaurus, which I will sample at some time, but anyway, as I said, if you don't compare the two side by wide the similarities are obvious. Royal Taboo projects better right from the start. Performance is about the same on it and Boundless. I'm dissapointed with Boundless in that sense, it's not a crazy performer on my skin and I think calling it "long lasting" is a bit of a stretch. I mean compared to Purpose or Outlands, for example. You have to overspray this one a bit, whereas with Purpose or Outlands 3-4 sprays max would last all day and people around you can pick it up. Boundless feel much more sophisticated. If reminds me of something else so much, but I can't say what. Those spices smell very familiar. If you can limit yourself to 10 bottles and you really like this direction I'd say the price is OK. 8.5/10, I'd easily choose this over many fragrance, even though I'm not so impressed with it

THIS COMMENT IS FOR THE HATERS OF RANAULD SALMON: I have had the pleasure of experiencing dozens of amouage perfumes, and I own 14 bottles. I will own much more in the future, but let me explain the difference between the old and the new Amouage’s. From the Amouage’s under Christopher Chong’s “control”, I own interlude, Journey, rose incense, overture, reckless leather, and beach hut man . These are incredible incredible pieces of art. From salmon’s “control” I own interlude black iris, interlude 53, jubilation 40, enclave, boundless, meander, royal tobacco, and silver oud. In my head, Chong’s work is far superior to salmons, but salmon has lots of good stuff under his belt that people need to see. Obviously I wish that each release is as daring and creatively perfumed as stuff like reckless leather, overture, myths man, etc, but I don’t think amouage is as “far gone” as so many people like to claim. I have also smelled many samples, and, for example, king blue is so insanely amouage to me. It’s so unique and different, and it’s one of my favorites from the house. I think people who are complaining are just doing so because they can. I’m wearing boundless to bed, and it’s amazing. Very spicy and resinous, deep and creamy vanilla, a touch of a root beer vibe, and a smooth tobacco. It may not be as interesting as something like figment man, but what’s not to love about boundless? 9.7/10

i don't personally agree with the very foody connections to this frag aside from the cola-like opening, which is great to me. I get a small amount of cumin but not nearly enough for me to associate it with anything in the realm of something BO like or even culinary. it adds some edge to an otherwise pretty smooth and resinous scent. there's an almost tangible or "chewy" resin that persists throughout the lifetime of this, maybe its the elemi? and it adds a lot, from keeping the opening interesting, to making the sweeter mid have some more depth. the mid has an amazing and subtle vanilla, and with the healthy amounts of incense, i personally get a bit of a beeswax interpretation in my head. that "chew" is in play here. really interesting for this archetype! the later drydown is actually less sweet than the heart, and leans on a more dry and earthy vibe, which is nice and fitting for settling down. Karine Vinchon Spehner is probably my favorite perfumer from amouage, and she did this one very well. I think she continues to do so under the new creative direction, keeping her signature while adapting to the more refined and less loud and bold aesthetic. lineage is also great. pretty moderate projection, nothing beastly, and a solid lifetime to make this a really satisfying wear that'll have me looking for it for a good deal!

I'm not a fragrance expert by any means. I just know if I like something or not. I happen to like amber and resinous fragrances, and I like tobacco fragrances. I own a bottle of Maison Margiela Jazz Club and I really like that one. I also recently bought a decant of Xerjoff Naxos and really like that one as well. However, I think Boundless absolutely blows them both out of the water. It is all the additional notes of myrrh, incense, benzoin, guaiac wood, etc. that just make it that much more resinous and rich and blends perfectly with the tobacco. It also has the perfect amount of vanilla to give it some sweetness, but isn't nearly as sweet as Jazz Club or Naxos. When I was younger, I used to love going into the Tinder Box, a tobacco shop found in the mall back in the early 1980s, because that place just smelled so good. That is exactly what Boundless smells like to me. It also has great projection, and it seems to last forever on my skin -- I put it on 12 hours ago and still smell it with no problem. In fact, if I were going on a date, I'd probably stick with Jazz Club because Boundless might be too overpowering. However, if I'm wearing a fragrance just because I enjoy the way it smells then I'm going with Boundless. I really like it.

Awesome fragrance but I am not getting a Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille feel from this at all... There is tobacco and vanilla in this obviously but that does not mean it smells like TV... Not at any point... I also need to point out that I do get a blast of heavy cumin for the first couple of minutes that kind of scared me but it does not last long so if you have issues wearing heavy cumin like I do don't get scared when you experience the opening of this one as the cumin is fleeting... There is another fragrance that many people used to say smelled like Tobacco Vanille years ago (and it doesn't) and Boundless actually reminds me of a much higher quality and expensive version of my vintage bottle of that one in the dry down... That fragrance is Eau des Baux from L'Occitane... I don't know what that fragrance currently smells like as I have been told it's been reformulated a few times but this dry down does remind me of a better version (And Eau des Baux is already great on it's own) of that wonderful fragrance... This juice is just splendid... My wife loves it on me and it was a hit over the weekend at a party... Plenty of projection and longevity... VERY happy with my bottle... ^_^ Get yourself a sample and try it out...

Man... yet again so many comparisons to products that are NOT appropriate. I’ll put this down to perhaps peoples exposure. I own most of the voted similar as. They are mere vague impressions that are similar if that. For me this is a super high quality, low to decent sillage that is linear and powers away all day. Not a bomb but low frequency bass thumping down the block sorta experience. Not in your face but you know it’s just there... It’s not really like TF TV. Don’t let any of the comparisons mislead you. There’s a smidge of vanilla but really this is a sultana, raisin, chocolate subtle tobacco super super smooth - my best comparison is infact Carolina Herreras Mystery Tobacco. The difference is minus the ginger and brightness and remove any dustiness and this is what you get. The only problem is as gorgeous as this is it’s too expensive when you can buy somewhat similar journeys (the only two I think come close) with a twist such as Sundowner (orange and and nagarothma) or CH Mystery Tobacco (ginger) that maintain that quintessential dark tobacco centre I love so much...but if you have the money what the hey? Oops I forgot Narcotic Delight... yeah give that one a try too... bit stronger in its balloon...

There isn't much about Boundless that hasn't already been said. It's everything that's been described and then some. Such a perfect name that has been entitled to a fragrance with such limitless boundaries. This is my third time wearing Boundless and it's my third time experiencing something different. This is yet another attribute that sets Amouage apart from other brands on the market and perhaps warrants the current asking price. I find the unique experience in every spray a delightful gift. Each spray proposes something unexpected when it is typically the complete opposite. You essentially pay for monotony, a pleasant experience, but monotonous nonetheless. It is almost magical, in my opinion, to create something of the same material that has such a Life force inside of it. It almost has a breath, a soul, a sense of being. How else can you describe it? Boundless seems to have a conversation with your skin. Depending on your mood, it seems to change its tone. All of Amouage fragrances do this, which is one of my absolute favorite things about this brand. No other house seems to have this capability and that makes it very unique. It is what creates the distinction between products and art.

Wow! I used to have 6 Amouage fragrances, but never really liked them and sold them all. fast forward a couple of years; I thought I'd dip my toes again and bought Boundless, oh my days, this is amazing, it's not the usual Amouage *slap in the face* with insane projection and sillage, this is just perfection. It's what I wished Amouage was, and now is. It's just lovely, sillage and projection are just right, but still with the Amouage insane longevity, but inoffensive and not challenging to wear, yet *still* unique, with their stellar luxurious smell, high end materials and just blended to sheer perfection. This *is* perfection in a bottle, I'm wearing it right now, wore it all day, to gym, went for a coffee down seafront, it just worked in versatility like a charm, not sure if I'd wear this to the office, it's more of a casual or more relaxed environment, but I think can still be worn in formal occasions, just has a very calming effect, that's the only reason why I'd say not an office scent. Although I rarely put an age group or a gender to fragrances, I'd say masculine leaning, and not a teenage, or early 20s smell, just my personal view. My next one is going to be Material I think :)

This is a beautiful, cold weather, date night fragrance from the house and it will truly be a shame to see it go if those rumours are true. I'm very surprised this didn't get hyped up by all the tiktok kids. Off the opening I get a mix of Angels' Share and Spicebomb Extreme, very sweet and VERY spicy with a strong tobacco presence. As it dries down, I don't get much of a BO smell (since I shower), but the sweetness calms down to a gentle, yet still spicy vanilla. In the dry down there also seems to be a noticeable sandalwood / palo-santo kind of slight sourness too which might be the somewhat controversial note that people dislike in stuff like Santal 33 or Amouage's Timber. The ingredients on Amouage's website list some seriously impressive and high quality stuff like CO2 fractions, absolutes, and oils, which are harder to find listed nowadays in perfumery: Top Notes: Blood Orange Oil, Cardamom Oil, Ginger CO2, Elemi Oil. Heart Notes: Vanilla Bourbon Absolute and CO2, Benzoin Resinoid. Base Notes: Guaiac Wood Oil, Papyrus Oil, Cocoa Absolute, Tobacco Absolute, Oak Moss Absolute, Frankincense Absolute and Oil, Myrrh Resinoid, Vetiver Oil, Patchouli Oil.

I'm really impressed with this one, bought a bottle. I can see the comparisons with TF Tobacco Vanille, but this one is so much elevated, the fragrance opens up sparkingly fresh mixed with the spicies and the vanilla that are akin to TV. Then it drysdown to the most beautiful tobacco vanilla fresh combination, I think the key differences here lives in the cardamom and the elemi resin interacting with the incense. This one is beast mode, but only on an intimate bubble, which makes it very much wearable and I live in a hot country. Tried it during an outdoor walking exercise night at 28 celsius and didn't bother anyone, much on the contrary, I was fascinated by what I was smelling on myself. At no moment this becomes too much, overwhelming, or too sweet, its perfectly balanced, if you have problem with TFTV, give this one a chance, you might find your new favourite gourmand. This is sophisticated, elevated, and gorgeous gourmand. You can get it by the same price as TFTV if not cheaper, so there's not even a debate on which one to take.

I’m wearing this on a 32 degree Celsius summer day and it’s intense but not cloying or too heavy. Right after applying I got a dry spices, I thought of aniseed, caraway and fennel seeds with a sweet candied orange peel note in the background, as well as a hint of something that reminds me of those old fashioned pink “musk” flavoured lollies that have an odd soapy powdery sort of flavour. Later on the myrrh and a really creamy vanilla come forward, getting some sweet frankincense and tobacco too. It dries down on me to a gorgeous amber with rich creamy vanilla, rounded pungent sweet tobacco and something slightly sweaty, but in a good clean healthy sweat kind of a way. Absolutely love it, I think it’s unisex leaning towards masculine but it works really well on me as an easy wear everyday fragrance as a women, but I think you’d want to be a sort of femme fatale type to have it suit, it’s probably not a good fit for the more sweet pretty femme or casual “clean girl” aesthetic liking people.

This is a Great Fragrance, Elegant, Classy, Spicy, Warm, Smoky, Multifaceted and Complex. Amouage Boundless is A Combination of several perfumes , Bvlgari Man In Black , Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Bentley Absolute and a little bit Burberry London. It opens up with slightly smoky, citrusy and warm spices in the background then dry down is semi sweet smoky balsamic resinous , tobacco and ambery with cherry chocolate vibe undertone. The Incense , Papyrus, Tobacco, Cacao, Myrrh and Vanilla notes are dominant in this scent. It has a pure and natural Quality Composition, Boundless is suitable for cold weather. I really enjoy it and I love it . Boundless has One of the best Men's Cologne Dry Down in Perfumery. Longevity is very Good. The Art of bottle design is very Luxurious with Red Wine color and Magnetic Cap. Two Thumbs Up. Bravo Amouage ! Rating : 9.5 / 10

Wow, this one takes you on a journey. It opens with a fresh blast of orange and cardamon. Lasts a few minutes and then turns into mulled wine scent. After a few hours it reminds me of cola, a couple of hours later it turns into a skin scent very similar to Initio's Rehab or V&R Spicebomb Extreme. I don't really get the comparisons to TF Tobacco Vanille, it's completely different to my nose and to be honest, I don't even like Tobacco Vanille while I love this one. The longevity and projection are top tier, no complaints. I would say it's leaning male rather than unisex but my wife loves it too and she's going to use it as well. The best season to use it will obviously be winter as it reminds so many people of Christmas. Autumn and early spring might be ok too, very hard to pull off in summer (could work in the evening).

Smooth, golden, warm and inviting. It's not as potentially oddball, challenging or ostentatious as some of their previous releases, instead it caters to a wider, possibly younger audience. It's less artsy and more chic, but I think that it retains all of the important characteristics that made me fall in love with this house in the first place. Basically, it smells like a mix between Roja's Enigma with the Coca Cola vibes, and Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, it also has a brief resemblance to Spicebomb, but there's more to it than that. It sets itself apart with a beautiful, slightly bitter blood orange opening, realistic and well articulated spices, incense, and the chewy resins that make it unmistakably Amouage. It becomes more vanilla forward as it dries down, but it never veers too far into gourmand territory.

I thought it is going to smell very close to Tobacco Vanille, Eau des Baux, Signature Tabac, and other Tobacco-Vanilla fragrances. But Amouage Boundless is actually a lot more interesting than that. It has some juiciness and sparkle in the opening. It turns into that awesome tobacco-vanilla drydown that smells more interesting than how it typically smells like. The way this fragrance acts from opening to drydown is very similar to Roja Dove’s Enigma Parfum Cologne to me, where they start with something zingy, sparkling, and effervescent for around a minute or so before the sweetness becomes a lot more apparent. I’m so lucky to have this fragrance for a great price. That makes my purchase a lot more worth it. I’d pay for more than that, especially since it smells so great with an excellent performance.

I like how Jimmy broke it down below, I’d like to add onto that. Initially I thought boundless too thin and abstract- that blood orange & ginger+ myrrh did not greet me with familiar embrace. Now? I’m in complete surrender to the fragrance because it all just works so effortlessly and gourmandish. Today I drove with the top down to go eat some banh mi in 90f heat. The oakmoss + myrrh is the batsuit that makes this able to walk the surface of the sun. As far as the tobacco and enigma goes it’s not as pervading as say the tobacco in journey man or min ny moon dust and at no point do I pull comparisons to enigma. That has heliotrope, cognac, benzoin and neroli giving it a very piercing stance while boundless really does feel like a cape/cloak embrace.

This starts out with a bang: a bright and spicy opening. The opening is beautiful. Smells like blood orange + spiced candied ginger. Slowly the vanilla starts kicking in, the brightness fades, and you get this wonderful spicy woody vanilla with parts of the dry down peaking through (the tobacco and incense). Then the dry down is a woody, spicy, smoky tobacco scent that's super addictive. I get hints of chocolatiness as well. I really like that the smokiness here is more subdued then the usual Amouage incense bombs. I really love it. If you had to compare it to anything you could maybe say it's an Amouage take on Herod + Roja Enigma. Worth a sample especially with Fall/Winter looming. I know I'll be using it quite a bit!

One of the rare few tobacco fragrance i love and would actually wear as a woman, and it's getting discontinued...... I have yet to come across anything that can scratch my itch the way Boundless does. Opens with a considerable dose of tobacco, but not in a syrupy or dense way like most other tobacco perfumes. This one stays airy, warm and dry (probably the cardamom) from beginning to end, with smooth vanilla and deep myrrh creeping in to round everything up as the initial blast dissipates. It soothes me, strangely enough, like strong arms that you trust. Works so well with my skin chemistry too, the vanilla-myrrh really shine through and is just more addictive on me than it does on paper.

This is the most delicious scent I have smelled and the amount of complements I get with this is awesome its smells at first cardamom tea then the magic starts just like a cinnamon cake thats just came out the oven with a vanilla cream topping people will think you are edible if you want people to complement you this is the one I would say winter night spring is the best but i also wear this in the summer in very hot temperatures in the office and the amount of complements just pour on me i love it and it lasts longer on my skin even after a shower its not cloying if you only spray 3 sprays I would recommend one on each rist and your neck this is the best amouage in my opinion

give this gem some room to breathe and some time to settle in. the more i wear this, the more i find myself really enjoying its unique smokiness and subtle blend of the soft cardamom feel and the sweet vanilla and tobacco core. while i still feel this is a departure from what i think of when i think of an Amouage perfume, it's still a fantastic perfume and worthy of the house and its legacy. [original review below] while this is a pleasant enough perfume, it just lacks that Amouage oomph and doesn't really do anything for me that other similar style perfumes do. a nice blend of tobacco, vanilla, and cardamom but not what I've come to expect from this house.

I do see the Tobacco Vanille comparisons in the dry down... The opening however has this tartness, assuming from the blood orange, as well as a bit of mossy earthiness. That does fade fairly quickly into an amber/tobacco/vanilla base that stays pretty much the whole way through. I do enjoy it, though I would like to see a bit more radiance from it at the price point. For an Amouage, it does sit pretty close to the skin. My experience with Amouage has been very powerful scents, though admittedly I hadnt bought one in some time. All in all, Id say get it at a steep discount if you can. Worth picking up, but not at retail.

After sampling this fragrance. I picked up a100ML right away. This is a beautiful vanilla and tobacco scent. In the deep dry down, you get that incense, vanilla, tobacco, and just down right smoky but not overpowering like Interlude. It's blended so beautifully. This and Herod are my go to tobacco winter scents now. Gorgeous fragrance, so far I just did a test run, not a full wearing, and this thing lasted over 8 hours. Projection is moderate, it's like Interlude but a really good scent bubble. Deep dry down lasted over 15+hours. It was still there after showering.

A very punchy spice bomb (not as in the fragrance spicebomb) in the opening before drying down to a smoother scent. I love cardamom, I love tobacco, & I love vanilla when it's done right & here it is done perfectly. Tobacco absolute is listed as a note here, & you certainly get that. A dark, smoky (from the guaiac wood) tobacco fragrance. 9.5/10 Sad to hear this is getting discontinued, I don't understand how this didn't reach the sales Amouage were expecting. Did they have very high expectations or did this fragrance just fall under the radar? Who knows.

Favorite Amouage scent so far. The initial top notes in the first minute is like a vanilla coke and it's also fizzy, felt like I just cracked a can of it and stuck my nose in to catch the fizz. As it starts to dry down the amber comes out and the scent turns more into a cream soda. Slight bourbon and vanilla really stands out in the first 5 min. Had a lot of vanilla fragrances before and the vanilla in this one really hits. Full dry down is mostly it's a really good mix of vanilla, myrrh, tobacco. Overall I think this is better than Tobacco Vanille.

To me, this falls in the same category as Bvlgari Man in Black, with a spicy boozy character. The opening reminds me of certain ayurvedic herbal wines called Arishtam. Pretty soon it settles down into a spicy tobacco reminiscent of (but not identical to) the dry down of MiB, but way smoother. Projection is not as strong as some of the other Amouage's and that might be a good thing. It is less likely to give people headaches or choke people out in closed spaces, like interlude or royal tobacco would .Big like.

I believe I found THE tobacco I was looking for. If you ever smoked a pipe, you will know. The way tobacco is served in this Amouage frag is as if you just opened a fresh pack of pipe tobacco. It's wet, it's not necessarily sweet, but it's not ashy either. It's a confident, manly (yes, not unisex for me), very wearable gorgeous pipe tobacco scent. The frag is relatively simple, maybe not mass pleasing but definitely well blended and not offensive. And I love it.

Very pleasant scent. Just like Enclave, Meander, Search and Purpose, a departure from what Amouage usually do. Personally it's TOO pleasant for me. On one hand you can recognize the high quality of it, on the other, it's too safe. It lacks an edge. Even mass pleaser niche scents like Tobacco Vanille or Naxos have that edge that can make them sexier or more interesting. This doesn't, it just smells nice. So a like, not a love.

Grabbed for £120 from all beauty in the Christmas deals. Have had a sample before and it was on an every lengthening list of "perfumes I want" so I'm really glad I grabbed it for a decent price. Very similar to TM TV and al harimain's oud tobacco... Still classy as always which comes as standard with amouage. Not a monster projector but this is a lovely cozy tobacco/warm/spicy/vanilla bubble to be in in these colder months.

I bought this a month or two before they discontinued it. I think this is very similar to Tobacco Vanille but much better and smoother. It has the similar tobacco and vanilla profile but with some added orange and chocolate like accords and I think it is 10x as smooth. It's a big shame they discontinued this; I really wanted this to be a fall staple for me but now, I think I might have to conserve my sprays.

Guys, if you like The One by D&G and want to try something with added middle eastern spiciness and complexity, this is the fragrance to try. opens up with a cumin infused listerine, in a good way. The mid is not my favorite as the spiciness comes out even stronger and turns acrid. Then it sweetens up and turns very pleasant in the drydown. Overtly masculine niche quality tobacco fragrance

I blind-smelled this and was very surprised to discover that this is a masculine frag. Initial burst was hyper-feminine lolly smelling. The fragrance took me on a journey. Was shocked to get into the more mysterious spicy notes. At one point I smelled something like Jazz Club with a vanilla twist, now I don't smell that at all. Intriguing frag

I did something you should never do with the house of amouage. I bought this perfume after smelling it one time from a cap in a store. As someone that owns 12 Amouage’s, they all are so incredibly different and complex on skin than they are in the bottle. We’ll see if I end up enjoying it as much as I did in the cap. I’ll update when it’s here

How I imagine the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania would smell if it were covered in a cloud of fog. Witchy in a good way - it's a cauldron filled with tobacco, bourbon whiskey, warm spices, and a hug from a grizzly bear. It's a cauldron I would drink. The name "Boundless" feels a bit dramatic and cringe though lol

very sexy intimate perfum. this is perfect for date nightys, not beast mode as it should be. alluring drawing people close, with a intoxicating sent trail. 10/10 for me as a "warm and spicy" lover. only worth it if you don't pay full retail. next i will get Royal Tobacco as my 2 fav's from this house.

Really nice smell. These new amouage scents are way better than people give them credit for. I get it. The new creative direction is, new. I like this one, meander, royal tobacco and rose incense. Some really great smells. We will always have the old amouage too. It’s not like those scents vanished.

This is a ginger up-front fragrance. Really it's like wearing a Bourbon-Ginger for me. Lots say this is a fall fragrance and I think that's true. But it can also be a good spring frag too as it's got a good fresh scent. Maybe not so much in weather extremes. A unique fragrance.

The deepest scent of the line. There is bitterness in the beginning, base is made from smooth tobacco that combined with the myrrh smells almost oud-y. Vanilla is there but it is not dessert-sweet, it just adds fullness, makes the scent luscious. JUST WOW

The opening of Boundless smells juxtaposed between Cola & Root Beer. Its semisweet & smells of Old World Spices & Resins. Just underneath the Spices & Resins lies a Dry Leafy Green Tobacco & Woods. Its a scent that conjures images of Fall & rustic decor.

I would like to describe this as a more upgraded, better quality, slightly oriental tobacco vanille. This smells amazing to me, and I'm happy it does not project strongly, as I started feeling nausea after 10 sprays (I don't know what I was thinking)

A very spicy oriental fragrance. Can be worn by either man or woman who likes very oriental cardamom-heavy fragrances with resins. In my opinion this will be best suited for fall and winter. A must try for all the lovers of very oriental perfumes.
