Crimson Rocks

This is an exemplary fragrance and restores faith in creative perfumery. I'm not overstating that, I think this is one of the most unique prospects of the renaissance collection which to be fair are all very interesting and faceted in their own way. So just to make it clear I wrote a separate review to this on Instagram before I'd read any notes but naturally I've been informed by the Fragrantica ones that there's So this has a spicy opening but it's somehow blunted (in a good way) and I'm someone who loves pink pepper in top notes, I go mad for it and it's certainly complimentary with rose. However, I can't say it's instant piquant nature comes across to me, this almost feels a little like licquorice but not licorice, It's very difficult to describe the opening of this fragrance, I struggle and I like that. This is a dry, volcanic, ashy, but not parched feel, it's kinda like an aerated volcanic rock, of a thing but becoming much sweeter with rose. I received compliments ranging from 'that's sweet I like that!' to 'you smell a bit like cola cubes' both of which I'll take. I think the rose starts to have a purplish hue as the day wears on and a definitive smack of damascones!!! Its a rounded rose accord complete with the velvety, lightly decayed feel of Bulgarian absolute. It's not a jammy or boring cliched rose, this has a subtle character. Musks chime in beautifully after several hours, giving a really warm, cosy, gorgeousness to this fragrance. That ambretteolde/Romandolide/musk ketone humming warmth. That's two modern roses in the space of a year or so that I think have completely flipped the script on modern roses, just when you think you'd seen all the perfumers trickery. Lovely stuff from Amouage and Bertier! Bravo!!!

This stuff is REALLY good. I have a number of Amouages - perhaps 10 to 12 in all - but I've never warmed up to Lyric Man. It's light and effervescent and well done, but this - this is what I would have wished that to have smelled like. Crimson Rocks opens with a strong blast of cinnamon which prompts, "Who just ate a whole box of Red Hot candies?" It's a strange opening, perhaps jarring and why some comments so far profess to it not being their favorite part. There's a certain darkness there at the start (and throughout), which encapsulates the theme perfectly of a sunset on red rocks; you can feel the darkness coming on, but there's a flare of light burning that provides a stark contrast. Then comes the honey. Rich and dripping in texture, there's something lurking amongst the combination of notes that, at my skin, gives off an almost honeyed-tobacco accord as the rose starts to bloom - and this is not the light, airy rose of Lyric Man, either, as its soon propped up by woody notes and vetiver making this perfectly unisex, more so than Amouage Overture Woman. Over time, I get different wafts of notes depending on where I sniff. Sometimes, the burst of cinnamon is pronounced, fiery with spice. Other times, it's the woody notes. The rose is always there, but never hammering you over the head with its presence. As bdoughty82640 noted, imagine Moss Breeches with the just the right amount of smooth, spiced-roses. Stellar stuff!

I don't get the negativity. For those who laud Fate Woman, this is a close cousin, maybe even a sibling. Creamy cinammon and rose, it's really delectable, slightly easier to wear than Fate Woman. It's less incensey and doesn't have the chili, so it's not quite as wacky and bold, but then we have to accept that those days are "Chong" behind us (badaboom). Lots of people bemoan a woody amber base in Crimson Rocks, and I'm usually hyper sensitive to that, but I'm not getting it from this at all. Love it. Update: oh the oaky drydown, didn't see it coming. I was expecting the harsh woody base to come through and bother me, but what I have instead is a lovely strong, noble oak, totally unique and photorealistic. The honey also creeps up after the first hour or so and it very realistic too. Update: I can't get enough of this, it's my new favourite rose. P0AL left me cold, but this gives me what others seem to get from that one. It lingers on clothes but not in a obnoxious way. It's such a delicious rich jammy rose and spicy cinnamon treat, and as the days draw in and the chill begins I'm finding this is a new signature for me. It's s a shame the new style packaging is so bland, so anodyne, but I can forgive that. This fragrance is currently flying under the radar but trust and believe, if (when) it gets discontinued people will be desperate to get hold of it.

This one is really underrated. I had a 3ml for testing and I tried it seveal times to be sure I would like it during its whole process. Waouw...I was not disappointed because it's longevity and sillage is strong and lasting. The floral and sweet facets would slowly retreat to the discrete background and the cinnamon, wood, honey and spicy character stays more clear all the way down. I got plenty of compliments and some even asked me what a heavenly scent I was wearing. Notice that Crimson Rocks will start to shine for real after 30-60 minutes. Do not lose patience because you will be rewarded highly later in the process. Some users would say it's too feminine but I like floral and especially rose fragrances. Crimson Rocks is unisex and really a very modern and sophisticated scent in a highly well and genuine blend. Finally I was lucky and got my hands on a full bottle today for only € 90 This is a keeper for me! Scent: 9.5/10 Longevity: 8.5/10 Sillage: 9.0/10 Originality: 9.5/10 Price: 7/10 Overall: 9.0/10 Those saying it lacks longevity and sillage must have a dilluted bottle. My bottle have a fantastic longevity and sillage - no doubt!

July 2026 update - I have loved this more each late Autumn/Winter. It’s wonderful. Sweet without being sickly and for me a decoy woody scent that with time dries down in a very clean will musky way. The rise is a supporting actor. For me more wood /honey and spice with a dash of winter warmth. Thus a fluffy wooden jersey in a bottle for me. Too intense for milder weather. I’m late to the Amouage party. Samples are hard to source in my country and they are just starting to be easier as people offer up splits for sale. This was my first Amouage sample and I was unsure. Because cinnamon to my nose can end up having a strange drool/saliva-like finish. That’s not the case here, it’s hot, clean and truly delicious. The rose and pepper joins the cinnamon in a burning candied rose way. Never truly distinct but there. The honey creating an ambery effect. In the dry down the cinnamon eases off and the rose blends in the wood and hay-like vetiver. A truly long lasting scent with strong projection. Very unisex for someone who wants to feel invigorated and is comfortable with attention. I would say this is cool weather only. On my hit list ❤️

Crimson Rocks perfume pictures an extraordinary place in Oman - the peaks of Al Hajar bathed in the red of the setting sun. In spring, the buds of damask roses sprout from the rock faces and cover the slopes of Oman's majestic mountains like a pink carpet. The whole area is drowning in petals and the wind carries their fragrance to the valleys... Domitille Michalon Bertier painted the mood of this place beautifully with the fragrance. That's how Crimson Rocks was born. A dignified, mesmerizing rose enveloped in spices that beautifully enhance its lingering character. Nutmeg and dusty cinnamon evoke the dusty slopes of the rocks. The Damask rose absolute is brightened by a hint of honey, but that's just the prelude. The oak accord adds weight, texture and classic character to the composition, as well as the warm, sweet aroma we know from double wood whiskey. It combines with other ingredients to create an extremely creamy, warm base. Opulent, tingling with spice and perfectly polished. From beginning to end you can feel the signature of an excellent perfumery.

Slightly different notes of this stick out on my skin vs clothes. This is a unisex perfume IMO. I enjoy that there's not really any sweetness, and it's a very calm cinnamon fragrance. I enjoy it before bed - it's not the kind of cinnamon that awakens me. On clothes, the cinnamon is quite prominent, and the vetiver and woody notes are in the background for quite some time before drying down to a creamy woody smell. On my skin the cinnamon is weaker, and this is mainly a vetiver-rose fragrance with woody notes and some slight sweetness from cinnamon and oak. I don't really smell the honey in any of the cases. The pepper note adds a very pleasant uplifting note. I totally understand the comparison to potpurri - it's common to have rose and cinnamon together there. It's the kind of Cola-cinnamon though - quite nice :) I'm glad this isn't a popular fragrance - more for me! 😆 Most of the Amouag perfumes are beast mode fragrances. I don't feel that this one is... or maybe it's just that I like it a lot, so I can use 6 spritzes of this and still feel fine?

Gorgeous scent. Received a carded sample - fell in love at first sniff... However... after refreshing my memory I held off a FB purchase. I sprayed Initio Side Effect on my right and re applied this on my left. I found that this is an almost 75% copy - I would find it hard to accept this was not based on this. Side Effect is deeper, darker and more resinous where as Crimson Rocks past the strong smooth initial cinnamon and rose over wood turns creamier and softer. I enjoy both and would say yes to both as sometimes the subtle difference is enough depending on the mood however the reality is Crimson Rocks is far poorer in Sillage in comparison (Initio as a brand has easily the best performance I know of other than Xerjoff and Stephan Humbert Lucas 777). I also remembered House Of Sillage 001 was similar and yep... it’s even closer only a little softer around the ‘red’ vibe - so I guess this sits somewhere in between. Again, awesome scent but for similar money I’ll take Side Effect any time ( yes I know the note make up is different).

Oh yes! Syrupy rose cinnamon with honey! Love it! But it wasn’t a love at first sniff though. First minute was a dislike, as I only smelled the top notes of pink pepper and only the bitterness of cinnamon, without the aromatic sweetness - the rocks without the rose. I went for Ashore (loving that at first sniff!). One minute later, coming back to Crimson Rocks, the rose starts to bloom slowly, developing into that rose cinnamon syrup with honey that I am smelling now, 2 hrs later. It’s sensual, sexy, but refined. High class. Perfect for night, but also for day. I find it working all year round, as it’s not obnoxiously sweet. Is, as I said, a refined, young, classy woman. Yes, definitely leans feminine. I was passing by Amouage store and saw the new collection in the window. Still not selling until 15th of September, but it’s there for us to test the entire collection. And this one is definitely my favourite from all 4.

After about 5 months of wearing it, I can safely say this is wonderful. It's tangy, rosy, very spicy and woody in a very delectable way. The honey and the cinnamon definitely stand out. They make the composition smell like foodstuffs at times, but the oak base grounds the gourmand elements just enough to avoid a realistic "dessert" experience. It is close, though. The rose is felt throughout, but it plays a supporting role here, lending a dusty, floral facet to the rest of the notes. To my nose, the rose makes the whole thing smell more perfumey and elegant. I have gotten many compliments from friends and family, but my favourite was: "you smell like a yummy library". I'm happy with my purchase and I hope I get to enjoy it for a few more weeks while the cooler weather lasts.

This is so Unique, I like it a lot, Slightly reminds me of Santal Majuscule from Serge Lutens, that dusty woody rose accord but with sweetness of honey and cinnamon spice ( not sharp at all) very well blended. I dont know if I would wear it just yet, but I keep coming back for a sniff on a paper strip so that means the scent is pretty addictive. So far my favorite rose perfume from Amouage. Its woody, rose soft with sweetness, yet a little spice. I believe if you like Santal Majuscule, you will enjoy Crimson Rock too. The performance is amazing, its gets only stronger with time. I sprayed it last night and woke up to even stronger scent on the paper, not sure about the skin yet. Edit: It also reminds me a lot of Rouge Saray by Atelier Des Ors.

I was searching for a new signature scent when I came across this perfume. In the store, it was way out of my price range and sweeter than I wanted, so I didn't buy it and ended up with a sample instead. The chokehold this perfume has on me now is unparalleled. It lasts 24+ hours on me and even longer on my clothes (I could still smell it after they were washed). It will dry down differently on everyone, but I found the more I let it dry down the more those woody base notes really rang out. Absolutely love this and will be investing in a full-size bottle. I highly recommend getting a tester of this if you're interested, and judge whether or not you like it by wearing it.

This is cold spicy, almost feels like "minty", and that actually was among the words I received from others. It somehow gives out soapy tone of roses. I do get Red Hot vibe comments but yes certainly it's not all that. When oak note stands out, which is rarely the case for the freezing weather here maybe, it does give me a feminine, more daring, Side Effect kind of sent. However, at this point, it's icy cinnamon rose I would say. Honey is a marinade, not necessarily sweet or thick. Overall, this is a beautiful perfume. It is still Amouage. I blind bought this one and have no remorse but I would recommend you to try on first.

I don’t understand why the fragrance has so many bad reviews. Scent is so subjective but I thought this would be a big pleaser considering this smells very close to Ambre Nuit. Like extremely similar to me. That fragrance is wildly popular and has rave reviews but this one not so much. To me this is a gorgeous spicy amber rose. It’s heady, heavy and spicy. The main notes I get are rose honey and cinnamon. As it dries I get more of that cedar coming through. After I smelled a sample I ordered immediately. I am def on a spicy rose kick lately. I want to smell like a gothic rose and I’ve just been obsessed with the note.

Crimson Rocks is a fragrance I would describe as deeply creamy, as if you were slowly preparing a warm drink made with milk, cinnamon, pink pepper, honey, and fresh roses. Yet the scent isn’t of the drink itself. Instead, it captures the fragrant steam that rises and fogs the air as it gently simmers. Wearing it transports me to the ancient lands once inhabited by the Nabataeans—to the majestic sandstone landscapes of AlUla in Saudi Arabia and the rose-red city of Petra in Jordan. It feels warm, mineral, comforting, and timeless, as though the fragrance itself were carrying the memory of those ancient deserts.

Love at first sight. Took me a while to try to understand what happens in this fragrance. It’s in my view back to what makes Amouage great, which is that the end result is bigger than the sum of its parts. The opening is almost gourmand and sweet but in the same time totally dry. It has a bit of the toasty réglisse notes of Memoir Woman but just slightly coming out from a blast of dry caramel on incense. The incense is very present and keeps it all dry like the desert. The rose is there but never center stage and in the end it all comes out to a superb opulent feeling but which is hard to nail in a word.

This is the perfect winter perfume. The rose scent for us not enjoying rose! The rose is there, but it does not take over, it's almost not present at al. Instead, this is a warm scent of cinnamon with a vanillin hint (I guess it is the honey making the hint of vanilla in the cinnamon?). The pink pepper freshen it up together with the base of woody notes. Lovely! A truly unisex perfume, but I don't give it to my husband, hence I want to have it by my self. This could be my everyday (and night, preferable night) scent for the deep winter. All those days you need to warm up in a cosy, yet elegant scent.

I love this. Spicy honeyed rose / not too sweet, and still somewhat desolate and alone, yet warming and welcoming at the same time. I tried this is summer and it still works, although probably best for cooler nights and weather. To me, this leans more feminine. This reminds me of the spiciness of Rouge Saray, without plum and resins which I do also like. This is more woody- the brightness at the beginning allows some woods to poke through. I can smell woods throughout with rose in the backdrop, never at the front. For the confident and outspoken person that can stand on their own. Not for the weak.

I like Crimson Rocks, a lot. An imposing and opulent rose right from the start, spicy and deep. Super sensual. It is one of those fragrances that I would be very happy to wear, I find it magnetic for my tastes. Since the creation is inspired by the Al Hajar mountains in Oman, which offer a suggestive but arid landscape, I see the image of a carnal, red rose that emerges from the rocks and is the undisputed protagonist. Really beautiful, goes in the wishlist. The "Saba with glass of wine" portrayed by Fabian Perez, extremely sensual and attracting all eyes, would wear it.

This smells absolutely divine and regal. The kind of rose I've been after for a long time! In a nutshell, It is a thousand Taif roses placed in a smokey oak barrel and covered with a generous amount of honey and cinnamon. Initially what you get is a strong mature rose scent, and something strongly resembling whisky somehow, which can be attributed to the wooden base. To me, Crimson Rock is 1/3 woody, 1/3 gourmand (cinnamon and honey give me a tiny bit of cherry in hot weather), and 1/3 pure rose essence. As usual, sillage is strong, and performance is even stronger.

This is a gorgeous fragrance. I was hesitant at first because some of the notes are not congruent with what I normally like, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is the first fragrance I own that has cinnamon in it, and when I initially smelled it, I thought it was a little heavy. But when it is ON, you get this chorus of deliciousness that involves rose, cinnamon, honey, and pink pepper, among some nice woody elements I was pleasantly surprised by. It is so beautiful. Truly a masterpiece.

Opening: heavy cinnamon and honey (borderline animalic “pissy”) within seconds tgat weirdness from the honey is gone. The woodiness in this is just at the base. Nothing overpowering. This overall is a jammy sweet rose with strong cinnamon with an oak wood base. I don’t get a lot of cedar thankfully. I’m a fan but it’s definitely polarizing. An hour into dry down: husband smells like horse lineament and I can’t unsmell it. Def gives tiger balm vibes 😂

Absolutely agree with Awan's review - this is just amazing. Its complex with a strong "eastern" vibe, standing out from the others in the Renaissance line. The pepper note is incredible, only gradually softening over the hours. Unlike majority of Amouage's fragrances, it has only a few notes but is so well blended. I have quite a few spicy perfumes but this one stands head and shoulders above the rest (although jointly with SL Arabie).

As expected, a strong cinnamon opening with the tiniest hint of pepper. However the spice persists and persists and I can’t quite get on board. It does soften a little, but not enough to show me a blooming rose dipped in honey. Maybe it is just blended so well that I can’t pick them out? But I also am struggling to get on board with all of that cinnamon. I can kind of see the appeal on the right person, but just not for me.

Crimson Rock is a pure perfection for me. It comes off as cranberry jam with honey and a slight hint of smouldering resins. I especially love wearing it in the summer heatwave when CR is just melting on my skin. Its sillage and projection are absolutely stunning. However the first whiff could be a bit harsh. Anyway that’s amazing and thank goodness I don’t have any amber wood in the drydown.

I haven’t had Crimson Rocks for too long. I was looking for a cinnamon heavy fragrance. I almost retuned this. But I’m enjoying it! It’s not the cinnamon hit I’m craving but it’s got such an attitude. I love it. Definitely rosy but spicy. It has a kick. I love it because it is interesting, irreverent, spunky yet serious. Kind of, don’t fck with me, I’m not here to play...

This is gorgeous, a honeyed and spiced rose with woods in the background, absolutely gorgeous ✨✨ How have I not had this beauty on my radar until now?? I am going to enjoy this for the rest of the winter because it’s one of those scents that shines best in cold temperatures, in my humble opinion. So glad to have this gorgeous scent in my collection 🩷❤️💜

Spectacular spicy-rose fragrance. The cinnamon and pepper in this are so strong, dry and spicy, it's literally a burning fire sprinkled with honeyed rose. Only in the drydown you get a bit of a "break" from this heat with the woody notes. At this point it does indeed give a bit of a boozy feel, rum or whiskey... Very earthy and powerful fragrance.

Better than many niche perfumes on the market. Don't judge it by its opening. The dryness is so delicious that I want to smell myself all the time. That addictive woodiness, mouth-watering honey and unique rose... ahh, I love it! It definitely deserves much more recognition. Thank you Amouage. Best regards to the perfumer.

The opening is a bit challenging, but it smells perfect when it dries down. This perfume definitely deserves a better score. I haven't been this impressed by a scent in a long time. The perfume is definitely addictive as the perfumer said. You should definitely give it a try. My favorite Amouage. 10/10!!! EASILY.

Kind of a feminine unisex. If you want the most complicated scent of rose and cinnamon, it's great. sillage and longevity are good, but not impressive. At least not like an Amouage perfume. Overall it's awesome.

This is a very good but masculine scent-I can’t imagine that it’s suits me. There is some sharp spicey side of it what makes it good for a man. I love the bottle❤️.

Crimson Rocks is a spicy, woody rose scent with some oriental facets thanks to a synthetic amber note in the base. I love a good use of rose in perfume, particularly a rich, dark rose like this, but the rendering of the amber note here, while not bad, keeps me from loving this scent. There is a persistent woodiness from the beginning that also smells quite synthetic, making for a balsamic accord with the amber that lasts throughout, unfortunately choking the rose note at the heart of this scent. CR opens with warm, sweetly spicy cinnamon with some pink pepper, bridging the gap between the spices and rose note nicely. The rose is rich and dark, sweetened by the honey note which amplifies its jamminess. However, the aforementioned woody-amber accord dominates throughout, balsamic and loud. As it develops, it mellows, becoming a softer woody-rose oriental with some spice. It is at its most classic during its later stages, and the woody notes in particular become more akin to the real thing - more wood shavings than ambery liquid. The spices complement the woody notes quite well here, and a hint of rose remains for a good while. It fades to a woody-amber skin scent, with a slight muskiness emerging as it disappears. Sillage is strong and longevity is long-lasting. This is a unisex rose despite the sweetness, in the Middle Eastern style. A modern interpretation of a classic accord, CR has its moments and improves significantly as it develops. Still, it is imperfectly formed in my opinion, and given the price, is not full-bottle worthy. Amouage has far surperior perfumes in its line-up, for example, Lyric Woman, one of my absolute favourites, is the best spicy rose scent I've ever tried. Objectively not bad however. 3/5.

I really like the name, the story of smoldering rocks matches the scent as a narrative. ( I can recall reading that somewhere...maybe a dream..on the website they only say this: Crimson Rocks conjures the majesty of Al Hajar mountains in all their glory at dusk. Standing tall at the top, one is engulfed by a sweet sense of peace.) This is a interesting rose, because the rose is there, and yet its not all about the rose. There is his feeling of something that is hot, yet its not warm...or feeling like there is something burning. It smells like heat, kind of like a hot pan on the stove, but not steel,.....so it gives me the feeling of a warm rock. Its got this resin feeling, I think that's the pepper and honey creating it, But since i like resins I perceive it as some sort of resin. -I don't find this fragrance on the sweet side, it has a nice balanced not to dry, nor sticky. I do think this is in the same vein as Ambre Nuit, as the rose in that one is also in the center and yet not a overpowering ROSE fragrance. I have worn both and I thought they were similar at first, and after a few wearings I can say that they are not the same. Its close though.. difference is this is more woody or earthy, AN is...well...amber base. Apparently I have a thing for rose fragrances so for me its not redundant to have both. -I don't get any cumin on my skin nor paper nor clothes, -Also glad that the cinnamon is nicely balanced, its there to give this warmth not a cinnamon fragrance nor gourmand/pastry feeling Overall I like this, but its soft an quiet, and not mind-blowing so... I don't think this is worth the price.

Im a newbie so I'll do my best to describe my sample I received. When I tried this for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the atomic hot cinnamon balls opening. It even reminded me of wearing my brothers Diesel plus masculine back in the day. After a little while it began to smell dry and dusty, almost musky. Perhaps this is the honey. I can imagine the honey being thick, raw and concentrated. It settled down quickly to a sticky, spicy rose with the cinnamon ever present with a smooth woody base. At times felt like there must be some cloves or even liquorice as there seemed to be a campherous note which cut through the sweetness to stop it ever getting sickly. I also picked up lemon an hour in, which I hadn't noticed in the opening. Interested, I looked on the website and the rose essence used has lemon facets which I think is so clever and again brings a freshness. Initially I felt that this was a more typically masculine fragrance, but as the cinnamon faded and let the other notes shine through I think it is pretty unisex. After a couple of wears I look forward to the beautiful drydown and I even crave the spicy opening. Lasted 8hrs+ Looking forward to trying my next Amouage sample 👌

Crimson Rocks Amouage (Store Test) Crimson Rocks is Floral Amber fragrance, this is rose twine in Ambroxan-like based. When I first sniff it is strangely reminds me of Rose Incense (Opus XII) by the similarity of limey rose. No so long before closely reminds me of Ambre Nuit. I think, this is reminds Ambre Nuit because of Rose and Cinnamon combo on sweet ambery base but Crimson Rocks woody property is stronger and it is beautiful wood, cedar to be specific (and Cedar can have smoky undertone in certain type). This is beautiful rendition on spicy rose on woody amber. I can't ignore the fact that Crimson rocks material concentration smells fuller. But in term of scent rendition, it is something definitely have been done before. I would say, if you like Ambre Nuit but wish for stronger rose and smoother spice. Stronger in overall tone, It is truly ok to grab one. This is a firm like for me being fuller scent that most of main market's offering. In term of Amouage veteran, I think you can easily say no to Crimson rock. I won't buy one, drop from assessment.

Crimson Rocks is not a perfume that gets much hype, but it definitely should get talked about more often. The cinnamon and rosé combination is what this fragrance is all about; a warm, spicy, dark rose, sweetened up with honey. It’s delectable! As time goes by the cinnamon softens and the rose is perfectly complimented by the woods. Perfect for fall and winter, though I’m currently wearing it in the late warm Spring season and it works just as well. Crimson Rocks is gorgeous, sexy, and eatable! If you’re into Roses, this is an excellent change from the usual rose perfumes.it smells so good! I think it could also work well on a man, it’s just a touch on the feminine side of unisex.

If we adhere to the quality Amouage has accustomed us to, Crimson Rocks is a scent that is easy to like. It is a rich and alluring woody perfume that is spicy without being overpowering, slightly sweet thanks to the honey, and with a rich and appealing background of dark roses; with cinnamon playing a prominent role in the composition, blending well with the rest of the notes. Perfectly unisex, I think it performs well, though possibly not on a beastly mode as some of the other, already-powerful perfumes from Amouage. However, the whole composition is just delicious and the perfume bubble it creates around the wearer is very unique.

A perfume with a high concentration of suffocating in the heat of summer and suitable for wearing a coat, scarf and sweater on cold winter days... It opens with an explosion of cinnamon; It takes a long time for the cinnamon to give way to honey. In that process, the smell cannot show a high performance in terms of making you happy. Persistence and spread is fine for the first two hours, but a memoir is not as strong as a love tuberose. Although I loved it, I was not satisfied with its performance so I sold it. Even though it was launched as a women's perfume, it is truly unisex. I hope I don't regret it in the future

Honey & Spice. Crimson Rocks smells of sweet honey, spicy cinnamon, & softened with a touch of rose. The rest of the notes are a monotonous woody background on which the aforementioned notes are colorfully painted. Sweet, spicy, rosey, gourmand. Since the CEO & creative director of Amouage changed, they have created superior feminine fragrances relative to their masculine counterparts, which have been received almost universally with lukewarm reception filled with "eh"s & "meh"s. Crimson Rocks is a mature gourmand wear, suites better the cool days. "Like"

My personal opinion about Crimson Rocks is not reflective of the majority of the community. I’m not a big fan of rose at all. It doesn't matter what you do to it. It's fine, but it's never great in my opinion. You can never get rid of the cliche essence of roses as a fancy gift or elegant surprise. You have to do something really original to Break that curse. I don't think they did that here and I don't think they wanted to. For what it is, it's fine. Jammy rose and cinnamon etc.

First 1-2 hours is a blast of pink pepper and cinnamon. If you're patient enough to wait, then you start to smell honey which gives it a bit sweetness but it's still cinnamon heavy, that cinnamon NEVER goes away. I don't smell any rose in here, it's probably supressed by the cinnamon. I actually think it smells nice but it's not worth the full bottle for me. But if you like warm spicy scents I'd suggest you to try it. It is a truly unisex scent imo.

Very unique opening on this one. The initial blast of cinnamon and pepper felt quite aggressive at first, but I came to really like it. This dries down into a spicy honeyed rose, though I admit my nose picks up mostly “spices” and I just get a sense of the rose in the background. It doesn’t evolve beyond that on my skin, just slowly fades away. I don’t think I’ll be buying a full bottle, but it is a nice fragrance.

This is on the sweeter side. The rose is honied with cinnamon sprinkled all over. But the scent isn’t that strong so it’s not offensive at all. Don’t quite see the semblance to Amber Nuit. And thank goodness I didn’t get any cumin whatsoever. Kinda like this as it’s quite easy to wear, making it a daily use scent possible. Btw the dry down is quite similar to the vanilla tone used in TF Tobacco Vanille.
