Crystal Gold it's an insanely priced scent that celebrates the 40 years of Amouage, It comes out as a incredibly poweful Chypre centered scent, plating a beautiful sandalwood, Helyotrope Jasmin and Orris gives it a clean aurea, almost as if was a nectar giving it a strong soapy relection to it, is probably the strongest Soapy scent i have ever tried, it reminds me of taking some typical asian soaps used to wash clothes but on steroids, giving it a nuclear luxury spin, however, i don't find this that much interesting until the drydown where all the valuable sandalwood notes are emerging but is way later, a very good point is that the sillage and the aurea that has on the tail is pristine and absolutely gold and stunning, but it comes out as a obvious and loundry detergent spectrum, nothing more and nothing less, is better from afar than in up close inpection. 1.750 Euro for this is absolutely coconuts, Yes it is nuclear and probably lasts literally the entire day, but is just a product created for ultra rich people that want to own a beautfiully crafted bottle representing an iconic element of the house fo Amouage.

A complete vanity piece created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this venerable Omani niche brand. The crystal bottle housing the fragrance is absolutely spectacular like some of the Boadiceas and is plated with gold giving it a very regal feel. The scent however, is a muted woody chypre, a more natural elegant version of Gold man emphasizing the aromatic facets over the musky woods. The beautiful Omani frankincense shines though. The lovely bottle deserved a rich pure Parfum sadly. Only for Amouage fans and completists like me. All others can safely skip this pricey novelty. Enjoy!

Amouage site says pre-orders shipping from today (December 5th) so hopefully we will see some reviews soon. Extraordinarily expensive - £1,600 for 50ml. Bizarre that at this stage four people have voted this "great value" in the graphic above!

Aldehydes, petitgrain and some woody notes. Get Jannat ul Firdaus perfume oil instead. Smells the same at like 1% the cost.

The Man & Woman editions of this fragrance have almost the exact same notes, what's the point ?
