Hi It finally arrived where I live lol, let me say that I think the start of it is absolutely horrible LOL I think once you let that go away, it soothes slightly to Tobacco Honey by Guerlain, but imo i think Tobacco honey is actually disgusting. At first I get chocolate infused honey (gross) with fruits. after a bit the chocolate infused honey stays... then comes cappuccino tea. its pretty okay at this phase lol just waiting it to cool down, it honestly reminds me a bit of the heaviness of Sunshine Man? Which I think is already a good sign. pretty boozy and fruity unlike Sunshine Man's Boozy aromatics. thats just for the first hour rn lol ill edit for later as well So a few hrs later it’s pretty nice!! Very consistent, gets cooler and nicer throughout its journey and starts calming down. Lovingggg itt!!!! Very yummy fruity and awesome. Worth it... maybe not the hype, but it’s worth it. I wore it again today, it is summer and it is extremely hot like 45-50 celsius here, lemme say that i think as it is very honey and fruity leaning that it can still work during heat and honestly its quite lovely bc of the fruits

From a quick test. Elsewhere smells amazing to me, I can't wait for the first chilly nights in October when I will be able to fully wear it. I like Tobacco Honey and Tobacolor, but they're both extremely sweet in the opening and remain like that for a long time, and also have a weird undertone. I also like Boundless but the myrrh makes it too warm, too balsamic, too serious. Elsewhere balances everything out in a very mass appealing way with extreme depth. The cardamom note is magic here! Also, it does not seem to have the typical Amouage performance, which may be great for beast mode warriors, but makes every wear a 12-18 hour commitment. I don't need any perfume to last that long. Say what you want about Amouage getting westernized and selling out etc, their releases have always swayed between polarizing and mass appealing. In the essences line, this pendulum just has a shorter trajectory between the two directions, but it is still rocking and there is nothing bad with that, as long as the quality remains high.

Wow!!! I was not expecting to enjoy this so much. I’m an avid amouage lover, but I was never a fan of their essences. Outlands is meh, reasons is okay, remain and sequence are good but not original, lustre is decent, reception is amazing, and it’s safe to say that elsewhere is amazing as well. It is a very rich and opulent woody perfume with a sweet dose of honey and a healthy amount of spice. It is also chocolatey and dense. Very smooth, tasty, but has something a tiny bit funky which keeps this from being a modern-day ethol maltol mess. Really good release and I’m happy about it because some of the recent Amouage’s haven’t been my favorite. Edit: My review of the perfume hasn’t really changed. I do enjoy this a lot. However, it shares too many similarities to other perfumes. Especially tobacco vanille and boundless. It smells amazing, but if you have any of these, you don’t need the other two. Pick your favorite from the three and that’s the only one you need

To start, I haven’t had an opportunity to smell Sinbad so I can’t say if there are similarities or differences. With that being said this is a gorgeous fragrance that opens with a stunning honey and apricot note that develops into a delicious black tea note, there is a creaminess that comes through that actually feels like a cappuccino’s foam. The dry down is rather wood with Vetiver and Cypriol coming through to cut through the sweetness of the apricot and honey. When sprayed in a closed place it’s stunning but the true beauty of this perfume is when you smell it in the air outside. It turns in a stunning citrus apricot with a light honey profile. All in all my new favorite release from the house of Amouage. Presentation 10/10 Smell 10/10 Complexity 11/10 Sillage 8/10 Longevity 7.5/10

I have always wanted Sindbad since it was released in Oman last year but couldn't get my hands on it. With it's worldwide release yesterday in another garment with a bizarre name, Elsewhere, I have purchased it yesterday from Amouage and eargerly awaits it's delivery drom Dubai. But why not call it 'Mundial', 'Voyage' or something cooler? Update: June 30, 2026. My Elsewhere arrived from Amouage today. It opens like a ginger-cardamom spiced tea with hints of cappuccino, apricot and honey. Then it transitions to earthy-cappuccino-vanilla cake dry down. Not getting the mango, pomegranate or tangerine, which attracted me to it. It is an oddball in my collection, but I like it.

This is a beautiful fragrance and it takes its place at the top of Amouage’s Essences in my collection. This is better than Outlands to me. It’s better to me because I enjoy this scent profile a bit more, not because it’s objectively better, just subjectively to me. Lush, fresh and dried fruits in the opening along with spices. Also chocolatey from the cappuccino note, black tea annd patchouli and that Amouage DNA. The dry down is just the most delicious, spicy, chocolatey and still slightly fruity gourmandesque. I never thought I would describe an Amouage as a gourmand, but this, to me, is edible smelling and I would 10000% take a bite.

I tested out this fragrance and have samples of it, it opens up with a fruity spicy black tea infused with honey. As it dries down, the fruitiness fades away and you're left with a deeper, darker cup of warm and spicy black tea with honey, a bit of vanilla there too. Projected for the first 3-5 hours before becoming an aura bubble the next 5 hours so total about 10 hours before being faintly noticeable the next 2 hours. Overall, gorgeous, sophisticated scent that imo is perfectly unisex. I wouldn't say it's blind buy safe since it is one of those fragrances that can be drastically different based on skin chemistry.

For a modern scent profile, it is masterfully blended with beautifully balanced sweet sourness. However, it isn't something especially unique in any way - just really well made compositionally. Longevity, projection, sillage etc - things that the average person seem to prioritise nowadays - all exceptional with Elsewhere. Tested it in the humidity and heat of Singapore and didn't feel cloying in any way, quite pleasant to my nose as a matter of fact. It was, at least, more interesting and better than Decision. Enjoyed its smoky sweet dry down the most, to be honest. Easy to wear in any occasion.

First and foremost I do not get Tobacco Honey 🙌🏾! The black tea, cedar and vetiver makes this peculiar scent lean a touch masculine to my nose, particularly in the deep dry down. The black tea gives you an over-brewed aromatic experience making it (the tea note) a bit overwhelming. I think a spiced chai or cardamom tea might've been a better fit for this composition IMHO. All that said, I do like it oddly enough and I'm curious to know what others think about how it smells on me and in the air... the nose blindness has set in pretty quickly (approx 2 hours in) so I will follow-up in a few days.

I am not much of a honey person when it comes to scent--generally it's too sour or animalic. This is luxurious, smooth, at times a slight bit masculine and at other times a bit feminine. It's absolutely refined and luxurious. And it's not the heaviest on sillage relative to other Amouage scents, which I appreciate as I don't like a loud fragrance. It also evolves--sometimes it is fresh and other times it is sensual and at other times it has a creaminess to it. The far dry down is my favorite but really every stage is standout.

Very early impressions Just got Amouage Elsewhere delivered I want you to imagine a more oriental, less gourmand take on Guerlain Tobacco Honey with additional dried fruits, and a slightly milky coffee note. The honey isn't as sweet, not animalic either It's spicier Maybe earthier from the patchouli Out of The Essences line, it instantly shoots up to at least the top 4 in that line for me personally.

I couldn’t afford paying the price for Sindbad, so I was very when they announced that they were releasing the same juice under a different name. To me, it’s one of the the better ones from their newer releases. My husband said it was headache inducing but later on said that it was very nice duriny the dry down (maybe once the honey and citrus notes slowly starts to fade).

Just received this today. I’m getting completely different accords than what are listed. I’m at the seashore, it’s slightly salty, organic, maybe chrysanthemums nearby, and a soft powdery incense wafting in the air. Completely unexpected, really unique and love it, reminds me of a distant memory.

Anyone saying tobacco honey has to be lying. It’s more oriental, spicier, more raw and masculine smelling and the dry down is heavenly. It opens very woody with some dried fruits and dries into a somewhat sweet but raw honey and tea. It’s beautiful to my nose and I have not stopped smelling it.

Zarokian meets Fernandez. Royal Tabacco / Creed Oud Zarian Mixed with Maison Crivelli Oud Cadenza Initio Side Effect Sospiro Il Padrino For me an perfect scent! 10/10 Amouge DNA.

I haven't worn this yet, but from the initial paper test...Pierre Negrin is such a MASTER at his craft. This is absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to put in wears of this one.

Hm, I'll need to wear this more, but upon first sniff, it's somewhere between a like and a love from me. To my nose, it's primarily a resinous amber scent with some well balanced spices, smoke, and honeyed sweetness. It's in the ballpark of Amouage's other resin-y, spicy ambers like Boundless, Material, and Remain, but Elsewhere is a bit more well-balanced, complex, and more luxurious-feeling than the others. I definitely get the dark and dank patchouli and coffee/chocolate/tea/dried fruit notes, but Elsewhere lacks the mango, tangerine, or some other bright fruitiness, that I was hoping for to balance that out. I recently sampled L'Entropiste's Dorian's Spleen, and although Elsewhere has a much less bitter and unpleasant opening, it dries down to a spiced tea scent that's not unlike Dorian's Spleen's peach tea drydown. Vibes wise, Elsewhere feels like a spice merchant's caravan, laden with tea, silk, velvet, cinnamon, and a plethora of other treasures. It's warm and cozy, yet it fills you with a longing, a wanderlust to travel to far shores and keep discovering what's around each new corner. Although smelling Elsewhere doesn't make me want or need a full bottle, I feel like it's a scent that will turn heads and make others keep smelling you just to try to put a finger on what exactly you smell like.

Starts out fruity, sweet and beautiful. Wait 15 minutes and it turns into "Outlands"..What? I have both of them here and they identical from the 15 min mark onwards. Someone mentioned that they smell Sinbad, possibly they are all starting to smell identical. Sad. Looks like the house is about to sell some shares -Pass

Got hold of Amouage Elsewhere and finally gave it a try. It reminded me of Dior Tobacolor/ Tobacco Honey, but with added fruitiness that makes it feel brighter and more vibrant. If you already own fragrances in a similar profile, it may feel a bit redundant in the collection.

Blinded by the exclusivity and uniqueness of Sindbad, I was so excited to try Elsewhere but it’s just not my vibe. High quality and unique for sure but I find myself nauseated by the scent profile. Scent: Initial opening smells very strongly of dousing yourself in thick and dense coating of Manuka Honey with an undertone of sweet apricot and even a little coffee. Maybe my nose is not as mature as I thought it was but I felt the same way with Guerlain’s Tobacco Honey where I couldn’t stand how DENSE the honey smelled. As it progresses the honey is still rather prominent but the tea begins to peek through and this is where I enjoyed Elsewhere the most but sadly I couldn’t get over that thick honey smell, as high quality as it is. Performance: Longevity is very good, sprayed it at the store and could still smell it on my skin 10 hours later. Never really projected like a typical Amouage though, just a decent scent bubble that sat closer on my skin than further. Versatility: As a Singaporean, there’s just no weather or temperature that I believe this could be worn in. I bet it smells divine in the colder seasons but sadly we don’t have that in the tropical slums. Also, just like every Amouage fragrance, high quality but still ridiculously overpriced. Scent: 4/10 Performance: 8/10 Versatility: 2/10 Personal Score: 4.5/10 I can’t stress it enough, Elsewhere is undoubtedly of the highest quality and you can smell that immediately. But its cloyingness, lack of versatility and absurd price is a no for me.

Elsewhere is everything I love about the house, but with a level of balance that makes it incredibly easy to wear. It opens with a little bit of everything, a gentle fruitiness, subtle spice, and just enough honeyed sweetness to draw you in without ever becoming overwhelming. As it develops, the fragrance gains warmth, depth, and a refined smokiness that feels unmistakably Amouage. The quality is exactly what you'd expect from the brand, exceptional. It has impressive longevity and a strong presence, but unlike many of Amouage's more powerful releases, it doesn't explode off the skin with enormous projection. Instead, it wears with elegance and confidence, making a statement without demanding all the attention in the room. The closest comparison that comes to mind is Guerlain Tobacco Honey. I'm not saying the two fragrances smell alike or should be compared directly, but Elsewhere immediately reminded me of it. Tobacco Honey has always been a fragrance I wanted to wear because I love the overall idea behind it. However, to my nose, it's a very linear composition, dominated by an intensely sweet honey accord with a light tobacco backdrop. While beautiful, I always found it missing the richness, spice, depth, and evolving character that I look for in this style of fragrance. Elsewhere takes that same honeyed warmth in a completely different direction. The honey is beautifully restrained, present enough to capture your attention without taking over the composition. That restraint leaves room for the subtle fruitiness, refined spices, tonka, smokiness, and the fragrance's remarkable depth to unfold naturally. The result is a scent that feels far more dynamic, balanced, and sophisticated, while still satisfying anyone who enjoys a honey-centered fragrance. As it settles, the tonka adds richness and depth. Interestingly, while tobacco isn't listed in the official notes, I consistently pick up a soft tobacco-like accord in the background. It's never dominant, but it contributes to the fragrance's luxurious, elegant character. This isn't something I'd reach for on a hot summer afternoon. It truly comes alive in cooler weather or during a breezy evening, where its warmth and richness can really shine. Among the entire Essence collection, Elsewhere easily ranks in my top three, alongside Outlands and Oud Zuhal. As an Amouage collector, I'd been patiently waiting for an alternative to Sinbad. I struggled to justify paying gray market prices, so I decided to wait, and I'm so glad I did. Although I never had the opportunity to smell Sinbad myself, I recently attended SF Scent Fest in San Francisco, where I met Amouage representative and several fragrance influencers. They all described Elsewhere as essentially a one-to-one recreation of Sinbad, making this release even more special. This is a fragrance I'll genuinely cherish. I own most of the Amouage collection, and while many of their creations require the perfect occasion or a specific mood to truly appreciate, Elsewhere stands apart. It captures the signature richness and artistry of Amouage while remaining approachable, versatile, and remarkably easy to wear. It's refined without being challenging, making it just as enjoyable for those around you as it is for the person wearing it. A beautiful release and easily becoming a favorite from the essence line.

From the very first spray, it feels like opening a fresh honeycomb—rich, dense, golden, and completely enveloping. The honey is incredibly prominent and dominates the composition in the most noticeable way. As the fragrance settles, the sweetness becomes more refined. Cardamom begins to emerge, adding a gentle aromatic spice, while the black tea accord becomes increasingly apparent, bringing a subtle dryness that keeps the fragrance from becoming overly syrupy. To be honest, I wasn’t blown away by it. If this had remained an ultra-limited release, I probably wouldn’t have felt it justified the premium prices it was commanding. It’s a beautiful fragrance, but not one that felt particularly groundbreaking to my nose. What surprised me the most is how strongly it reminded me of Tobacco Honey . The resemblance is striking—the same rich, luxurious honey accord is there, but without the tobacco. Imagine Tobacco Honey with the tobacco removed, and you’re already very close to Elsewhere. At the same time, I also get clear echoes of Fève Délicieuse, especially in the creamy sweetness and the warm gourmand character that develops in the drydown. If I had to describe Elsewhere in one sentence, I would say this: it smells like a blend of Tobacco Honey and Fève Délicieuse, with the tobacco stripped away and the honey placed firmly at center stage. If you’re a fan of rich honey-based gourmands, Elsewhere is certainly worth trying. Just don’t expect something radically new if you’re already familiar with those two fragrances.

THIS IS A MOSQUITO 🦟 MAGNET!!!!! BEWARE!! This is pretty similar to other popular scents. I don't see it being a favorite. Listen to the others when they say its a copy cat mishmash type. Its proper masculine... Mid - dry down the cappuccino and the fruit mixing together makes a cherry scent. With the tonka which can act as tobacco. I have raw tonka bean and I don't get tobacco from it. I guess its the distillation process that brings that out? You do get the steaming cappuccino. Quite lovely... hmmm if it can stay here for the whole ride it would be a love. Going to pump the ac to 65° and test as if its winter. Letting my full bottle go possibly. Going to give it a few days. I don't like the opening with all of the fruit, sort of scratching my nose. After a few weeks wear.. I would say it resembles Tobacolor the most. Where it differs? This has the cappuccino latte effect with the fruits. Dry apricots, juicy mango, pomegranate juice. Quite dark and vampy. I can say it's different enough in the mid to have if you have TH or Tobacolor already. I think the cypriol or some other note does give this a harshness. It can be unisex but you HAVE to wait for the mid. Which can take hours depending on your skin chem. For me about 1 or 2h. Then it's okay and kind've pretty. Not the worse I've smelled. I did smell it on a shirt a few days later and almost threw the shirt away. I would avoid fabrics here.

When the discourse around Amouage fragrances is using words like "Mog", you know the brand is over. Gray. Dead, cold-dead. I should burn some hojari and mourn. I feel it more and more as time goes on, Christopher Chong truly was the heart and soul of Amouage, as much as anyone had or has been since the Sultan. I want to give this a fair shake and smell it next chance I get, as I have with so many other disappointing "Essences", but on another hand I start wanting to be wholly disassociated from what this brand is becoming. Loud, cheap, droning crap, made for western perfume snobs that have designer level taste, at niche prices. It's strange how it felt more for me, when it was really made for the sensibilities and hypothetical tastes of a guy all the way around the globe from me. I hear later this year, just in time for Christmas shopping, we'll see Amouage "Confidence", barrel-aged for 6 months with the essence of hand-plucked hairs off Qaboos' toilet seat, met by an army of paid influencers telling you it's "bussin" in unison after they all got comped and shipped the thing from day 1. A seemingly gay Asian guy and a Sultan walk into a perfumery... what should be the start to a bad joke, became one of my all-time favorite houses, and I'm ashamed to have watched it's fall from grace.

As with any Amouage release now, bunch of grumpy, pretentious old men being negative in the reviews without even trying it. Especially seeing idiots admitting they haven’t smelled it and judging by a fragrantica note breakdown. A lot of Chong’s creations were hated at first until years later or until they got discontinued and now people 180’d on them, all a desperate attempt to feel superior to other people and particularly the newer gen’s taste in fragrance. While I agree that influencers and TikTok are rotten, if you knew anything about the space, you would know that Amouage is also one of the few houses that went viral recently for REFUSING an influencer’s giveaway marketing push. You can’t seriously tell me that stuff like Decision and Outlands really smell like everything else on the market, you just have an agenda and are choosing to dislike everything the house puts out now. Go mourn elsewhere and come back to adore the fragrances when Salmon leaves. I’ll die on this hill.

I got this, it is very honey forward. It is very sweet but not in gourmand way if that makes any sense. For the first 20-30 minutes all I get is honey and fruits. After that, you start to get the tea notes and some lactonic accords from the cappuccino I guess. Honey is present throughout the opening and middle. What I found interesting was on skin the honey notes are way more prominent and overpowering anything else compared to on clothes where i felt the tea notes come forward sooner and more prominent. Maybe it’s skin chemistry. I wore it a full wear and it was not for me. Do not blind buy this, you need to try it first. Complexity 8/10 Longevity 9/10 Projection 8/10 Versatility/wearability 2/10 If you like sweet and honey forward scents you’ll like this. To me it was way too sweet and feels like people want to hype it up since Sindbad was hyped by all the influencers.

While I do not disagree with the guy two rows down shitting on what Amouage has become they have still released some good scents. King Blue, Sequence, Outlands, etc. and I seem to remember the time when Mr. Chong was at the helm and everyone complained that he was steering the brand in a too obscure direction with Interlude (yes everyone complained at first it was too challenging and they hated the oregano) Myths, Imitation, etc. Cant make everyone happy it seems. I myself love the more Western Scents being released and also some of the more challenging ones. Amouage will still hold a special place in my heart and I will still sample and buy.

@puke Agree with a lot of what you’ve written. It feels like Amouage is trying to be an everything to everyone house, and is losing its positioning as a brand. I still hold my bottles of Sunshine, Bracken and Beloved dearly, and there’ll always be those memories, but maybe we’re no longer their target audience. Maybe they’ve seen a better, more profitable slice of the market that they can tap into. If more demand is there...

I’m eagerly awaiting delivery which should be with me on Monday. I disagree on some views regarding the name. Sinbaad was released exclusively for Oman, whereas “Elsewhere” as the name suggests can be purchased elsewhere.

Amouage royal tobacco combined with Tom ford tobacco vanille with a frutty , honey twist . That's how this smells like ! I like it , one of the best realease from amouage this year .

On my skin, this is just a honey bomb with a touch of spice. None of the other advertised notes come through for me. Selling mine, only sprayed once.

It smells like interlude had a baby with boundless and sprinkled little sweetness on it. Thats it. Drydown is a less harsh interlude Its nice though.
