Figment Woman

This is remarkable. This smells like wilting decaying flowers in a vase, when you walk by the vase you get a big whiff of THIS scent. It's not the smell of the pungent rotting stale flower water in the vase, but the smell that the flowers radiate when they are dying, maybe a day before you start smelling that rancid stagnant flower water. This brings me to the house I grew up in, both my mom and dad loved flowers and would put together little bouquets of flowers on the dining table, sometimes just a couple flowers my mom probably picked while outside on a nature walk or from her garden. Figment woman, the opening especially, reminds me exactly of walking by that dining room table and getting a big whiff of this smell when those flowers were past ripe. I sampled this from a 2ml, first on paper last week and immediately I said nope, no way that one would not work for me, way too floral and feminine. So I'm working my way through 23 amouage samples and last night after showering before having a bite to eat and getting to bed, I said why not spray half this sample on because I can't see myself putting this one on to test out in public. And wow! This needed to be worn, because on paper I didn't get any of that wilting decaying flower smell. I also got a beautiful spicy pepper that I really wish there was more of. So I went to sleep and woke up, having sprayed this on 6 hours prior, and it was still strong on my clothes. This smell was just so addicting and it's the type of female floral fragrance I would never dare to wear out in public and especially not to work (a bakery). But I just wanted to keep smelling it. So I showered before work and put the rest of the sample on. This radiated for about 5 hours, like strong, then fades down, still quite airy, to intimate projection. On my skin it was mostly gone by the time I left work , but still projecting off my clothes. It was hot today and always even hotter standing next to an oven all day, so I'm sure this would last even longer in an environment that doesn't so easily compromise a fragrances longevity. I just love this smell, like I said this is typically the type of fragrance I would never be able to wear. I haven't sampled many floral fragrances marketed towards women, but the ones I've smelled are just way too feminine, sweet, powdery or artificial. Figment woman definitely feels feminine, although because it doesn't smell artificial, but realistic and unique, (to me anyways, I don't know if there's anything else that's like this?), I found myself never self conscious about having this on. I really would like to get this one, Id love to try layering this with figment man, or even myths woman. They all share a sort of realistic environmental aura. Edit: I'm adding to this review as I'm smelling it resprayed on my hand. I think what makes this fragrance so successful and for me, wearable, is it's not trying to recreate a natural smell of "pretty" flowers. I find most florals in an attempt to create a natural smelling flower with synthetics, come across as cheap smelling. This doesn't smell cheap. Figment woman seems to instead be attempting to re-create the lesser desirable smells of flowers, or the moments which flowers still have a scent, and actually more noticeable, but not necessarily associated as being "pretty". The lesser inviting aspects to the flowers scent life. In this effort it comes across as a natural smell. Quite brilliant. Edit again: Got a 100ml bottle of this. It's just so good.

So I will update review after getting more opinions, but I love it?? To me the name is super apt! It smells like a luxury greenhouse/orangery whatever at night in some eastern country, when the blooms are at the highest and just after a rain. You enter from the rain, and smell the rare expensive blossoms, then you settle in with a book. I guess I could describe it as like fantasy movie in a bottle lol— magical, mesmerizing, crafted, wild— imagination at its finest. It doesn’t smell like swamp/jungle/Bhutan to me, but to each their own. I blind bought a whole bottle for a variety of reasons: I’ve been wanting an Amouage but can’t afford them (but I still want the pretty bottles), and I’ve been eyeing this one based off of the notes and the intriguing reviews. So I got it a couple days ago and it’s at once gardenia, minty, peppery, and even aquatic masculine sort of scent and then it warms to lush flowers and then settles at that papyrus/incense scent. Exactly as advertised, I smell most of the notes listed there, but the highlight is the tuberose. Sounds like it’s a skin chemistry problem for sure for others, but I smelt a little metallic during one wear (orange blossoms probs, I love ‘em so won’t complain), but my friend didn’t smell it so maybe it was just me. I get the swamp nymph scent that some people say, but I feel like on me it smells more like a magical sorceress scent— it’s VERY regal and lovely, but it settles rather gently. I think it’s gonna be a signature scent for me, but I will update if anyone tells me that they hate it. Obviously this is a very contentious perfume, which intrigued me because I’ve been wanting a scent no one else wears. If this helps anyone: My skin normally smells a little vanilla and animalic but overall I have a rather subtle natural skin fragrance. My friend who does not like incense scents did not love it, and smelt the bottle and did not like it, but told me it was lovely if someone did. She also said it smelt like I got out of a shower, that there was a soapy/clean/warm scent to it— and said it smells like me, so there is definitely an animalic note to it. Basically, a lot going on, but at the end of the day I can’t stop sniffing my wrists, and doesn’t seem offensive in any quality but we shall see! Questions for others: do your lovers/partners like this scent on you? Asking out of curiosity hehe Another note: packaging and bottle is stunning, so effing pretty, when the light hits it right it looks like the photo but otherwise it’s this marvelous blue glass bottle.

First impression: So, I really wanted to try a perfume from Amouage, and as I'm not a really patient person when it comes to getting a sample first, but I am sort of into blind-buying, I got a full 50ml bottle of this perfume, because it was the most affordable Amouage to try, and the bottle it gorgeous. 🙈 Also, another reason why I fell for getting this perfume were the polarizing reviews - it just sounded enough interesting for me to try it, as I like complex, polarizing, even experimental perfumes. I have a deep love for the unusual. I know fragrance is a subjective thing, but honestly, even though I was a little bit nervous when first trying this, in the end I was actually surprised that this scent has such a negative score. First of all, yeah, it's quite complex - the beginning is quite peppery, even minty and masculine/even aftershave leaning, but at the same time it's really nothing awful-smelling, nothing scary, on the contrary. It gets your attention but not in a negative way. :) After that, the lush creamy, a little bit sweet white florals are popping up, with a very slight animalic note (not really a fecal one, though) while still being a bit peppery and minty. Very lady-like, very feminine. There is also this interesting earthy, or more like paper-like note. This perfume has so many distinctive facets, but somehow, it works very well alltogether. :) I will test it a little bit more when it comes to longevity and sillage, but it already seems to be quite potent, leaving a nice trail. To conclude, I think I will happily wear this to work, or for any other occasion. To me, it's a very inoffensive, elegant perfume. It's slightly sweetish, creamy, clean-smelling, and overall has a very charming character and soothing effect on me, it works like magic... And the bottle, overal presentation is so nice. :) also, it really blooms in this hot, but humid weather. 😍 It seems to change according to the spot on the skin I spray it on as day goes on. For example, near my elbow, it's very minty and paper-like, very refreshing, while the white florals are a little bit muted. On my wrists, it's more of sweet white florals. Wow, I really like it. :) one reviewer said it always smells like a different perfume each time you wear it, it may really be like that. The drydown, or more precisely, the several versions of the drydown are pure bliss. :) I don't think I have ever experienced a perfume that has such a chameleon-like drydown.

AMOUAGE Figment Woman Dorothée Piot 2017 (Not Karine Vinchon-Spehner like mentioned here) This is an absolutely amazing unique and artistic perfume like nothing else I have smelled and it’s totally underrated. White florals are done here in a mysterious way, they are covered with many different notes which each of them bring different kind of earthy and fresh feeling to the rich white floral heart. Figment Woman opens up with beautiful earthy menthol like freshness and a sharp peppery kick. Gardenia and Saffron together make it intoxicating and I think the menthol feeling - it’s just a feeling, not like you would have a menthol pastil in your mouth - comes from greenish Gardenia. Smell of the soil is absence which is not the case in Figment Man (gorgeous scent as well though but more challenging). In the heart together with white flowers you can feel an intense spicy and aromatic aroma from Cassia which is sometimes Cinnamon-like but here it doesn’t develop into that level. Papyrus in the base is very powerful and it turns the earthy vibe into dry smoke which is transparent and clean, not like from T***cco. Incense - Amouage’s signature note - finishes the base together with Patchouli and Orris. White florals are VERY unique and evocative. The whole concoction is crispy and cold. Despite of an extraordinary scent profile which can be polarising I don’t think this is offensive and therefore this can be worn easily at work too. This one took me on a journey for sure From ohh i hate this... bummer ..too ohh i crave it .. I got this last summer on a very hot day . Sprayed it right away after months of going back and forth trying to figuere out if i found a way to test it before buy ,i dident so i ended up buying a 100 ml untested . I was so mad at myself . the first impresion was plastic flowers ugh.. my hubby asked what it was that smelled like burned plastic .. it was not a nice feeling . I had it stored away until now when i desided i should give it a proper try full wear . Sprayed it away from my face .just a few sprays . and magic happend.. I was getting an whole other story with this scent now. i have always had a soft spot for Gardenia .not nesesarly in perfumes but in real life .So elegant . This time the scent just bloomed on me Wafting like a bouquet of white flowers around me ,so uplifting so bright and vibrent. No plastic ,no dirty madnes . only beautiful white florals with green natural feel . The gardenia is the star for sure . Tuberose following with green foliage ,lilys ,jasmin and a touch of ylang .I cant find much patchouli in here . but there is a hint of spice . but to me no foody spice .just floral spicynes and sweetnes mixed very well . How did this go from uhh i cant even smell the bottle ,to i crave wearing it .. Magic . So sophisticated crisp dressed ladylike. This blooms in colder weather aswell , i fealt like a queen wearing this out in the snowy lanscape . im so so glad i gave this a second chance .<3 so if you are unsure about it .test in different weather and away from the face . let it settle on skin abit and it might be something you like .

What I smell is very nice in the opening, all the white flowers are present there; I get more Lily, Tuberose, very little Jasmine if any and some Ylang Ylang. I am afraid I am not getting anything else, no orange blossom involved here either. This is very much like Ophelia by Heeley but that lasts a bit and is a bit sheer in it's texture. I do get a slight Reflection Man aka Le Male vibe but Figment has a certain medicinal cold creaminess to it. Smells nothing like Carnal Flower, Boadicea Mystical is the closest to CF. I will be fair by saying it's lasting power is a couple of hours, giving the statement the benefit of doubt that 'Skin chemistry varies from person to person', half an hour just sounds rather bad. But I am quite uncertain because tuberose usually melds into my skin and after some time I can't really tell if I am wearing anything so it is a very-close-to-the-skin tuberose for me which seems more prominent than the other flowers after the initial 15 minutes. I would say it completely veers towards the feminine spectrum but can be worn by guys who are comfortable with wearing medical grade white gardenia. Think: you've put Savlon on your skin and washed it without soap. And I do like the smell of Savlon!! I have recently been interested in the female offerings from this house because they can be very unisex (Myths is a new favourite from the women's range) but I am not sad as such about Figment Woman as I am for it's male counterpart because these bottles indeed looked very exciting. What is inside is not entirely bad, just not something I look for or want.

I had wanted to buy this for years but nervous because of the negative reviews. Some said the sichuan smells like in chinese food or it smells like decayed flowers, but these weird stuffs made me even more curious, so I bought this blindly, because I couldn't find this in any dept stores to test. OH my, I am so happy I bought a 100ml bottle on Ebay, it is LOVE at the first sniff! In the opening I smell some spices, but the sichuan is not foody at all, it just gives it a boldness and the saffron softens the 'peppery' sichuan, makes it super smooth and well blended. After a minute or so, the spices morph with the florals and become sweet. The florals are mixed so well, I smell jasmine, gardenia, lily. I also smell tuberose, ylang ylang and orange blossom that give this the sweetness but stay fresh and alive. On dry down the sichuan becomes little bit minty, more like carraway seeds and a hint of incense, is like in Arabian store, when the incense is sweet and relaxing, I don't know how to explain. This perfume is very complex, very unique, very smooth, 100% feminine and very very beautiful. When the weather is hot and humid, the spices feel deeper and the florals feel sweeter. In colder weather, the spices feel softer. This perfume is beautiful in every season. Sillage is medium with one spray and longevity is on Amouage level which is 8++ hours on skin. This can be challenging for some people, so if you're new to niche you might want to test it first. If you like white florals and like to be challenging, this perfume is for you.

I feel I have to do another review on this one. My first encounter with Figment was more being puzzled, hard to say if I liked it so I put it in the very interesting but “not sure” catgeory. I liked the dry down but was disturbed (not necessarily in a bad way) by the opening and first hour. This also maybe because of this name and colour where for some unknown reasons I was expecting something at least a little bit about figs. Nothing of the sort though. Fast forward: I left the sample on my night table and from time to time I was smelling this very light somehow familiar smell I could not place. It was Figment. Then I had the chance to visit The Amouage shop in London. And although I concentrated on other fragrances and told the sales lady, “no, not that one” I keept smelling back the cap of Figment all the time. And having the occasion of properly and generously applying it, not just from a sample: I think what Lyric is to roses, Figment is the same to the tuberose genre. Dark, leaden, gothic type of tuberose if there can be such. Nothing to do with Fracas or Carnal Flower - yes there is tuberouse but those are blooming and sparkling this one is a tuberose in dim lights crushed under other opulent materials. It has the full opulence of of an oriental and lots of spices and aromatics around: anis, cardamom, some mint, saffron, some cloves or something around that and a good dose of green patchuli. Gothic. Unusual. Congrats to Amouage for continuing to come out with sheer opulence off the beaten tracks.

Wow. I am not sure I would wear it, not even sure if in fact I like it, but what a surprise comes out of this sample! Not sure what to think of it except that it is so interesting but more in an abstract sort of way than in the way which makes you bathe in the fragrance. I am not sure it’s wearable. It’s more like an olfactory abstract painting than something you wear. It starts with a rain of colours but not like flowers, more like a pot pouri of disturbed flowers and fruits and spices thrown together in no particular order. And then things start to settle, in waves, one after another. It starts to decant and the colours start to make sense. When seeing the name I thought this is about figs. But it’s more about fig leaves macerated with anise, estragon, basil with some old pieces of leather and green patchouli coming out and drying down on a layer of rotten jasmine, tuberose and white daffodils, but with the anise or it may be the green patchuli dragging along all the way but softer. Of course when you read this description you may get ready to run away but it’s nothing of a kind. It’s a curious, interesting, fresh kind of idea that I would not wear but can definitely appreciate. The dry down is more conventional and wearable though, with the same notes present but more blended, soft and warm and after about an hour and more they turn golden, even warmer and very elegant.

Not all Figments are created equal. I have two official samples of Figment. One is a very pale yellow color, the other one is deeper amber orange. Unfortunately, there is no way to date sample vials. Initially, after the first spray, they smell identical, but after 30-40 minutes notable differences appear. The amber sample develops this gorgeous creaminess, is very loud and is somewhat mentholated. It does remind me of my old trusted favorite - Eden by Cacharel. The same wet, rainforest feel to it. White flowers are simply intoxicating. I do not smell any of the individual white flowers listed, instead, it's an abstract, fantastical flower from another planet that is dripping with some kind of possibly poisonous nectar. It is gorgeous, and I love it, and do not find it "challenging". This is amber vial. The pale yellow vial is another story. It is also nice, but nothing to write home about. Of course, they are similar. But yellow one is not giving me "wet jungle" vibes at all. It's the same fantastical white flower, but toned down by a lot. And it does smell like a chypre a bit, while amber does not feel like chypre whatsoever. Pale yellow is much, much quieter, I would even say office/work appropriate, with less than average longevity and projection. So yes, they essentially are two different perfumes! I love the amber version of Figment, while pale yellow is just ok.

What a perfectly blended gem. Wearing it feels like wandering into a garden and finding a secret passage to an enchanted forest. Or could it be that you're simply hallucinating from the intoxicating smell of dewy gardenia flowers mixed with decaying white lilies? White turns to shades of green with the scent developing and revealing its true self. You're making your way through this forest and the further you wander, the thicker the air gets, it's all humid and green. Awakens the memories of the gardens of Sintra in my mind. Amazing longevity and sillage. I enjoy wearing it in both hot and cold, humid and dry weather. I prefer rainy days in summer though, it makes a breathtaking addition to those forest walks after a thunderstorm when all the leaves are still trembling with drops of water and emerald grass hides behind milky fog. Truly a perfume for a forest fairy or a mermaid (rusalka). Speaking of mermaid scents, I don't really see it being similar to Eden. Eden has all these ripe-almost-decaying fruit that can potentially feel overwhelming. I wanted to love Eden but it overpowered me, while with Figment it clicked immediately.

So imagine a keyboard, and several notes are played in unison, making a chord, but each key played is a white key, there are no black keys, no flats or sharps, and each white key is a white floral note, and this white floral chord of overlapping notes is held and sustained, and it is a great beautiful sound lasting and lasting, eventually fading to a whisper... That is my first impression of Amouage Figment Woman. Everything has been blended into one seamless floral tapestry, such that I cannot make out the individual edges of each note. Very pretty, very smooth, very lush ... But with no hard or sharp edges or surprises. Consequently, a bit flat, linear and one-dimensional, especially in comparison to her quirky, more difficult brother, Figment Man. I'm picturing a bohemian midsummer-night garden party; night flowers are blooming in a disorderly overgrown garden, under the light of a Full Moon... she is in a velvet dress, chaotic and beautiful. Her perfume is as intoxicating as the heady indolent blooms surrounding her, and as constant as the steady beams of moonlight, lighting up her voluptuous velvet-wrapped form.... yes....

Extraordinary... gorgeous and voluptuous floral. So very interesting! I usually am NOT a fan of gardenia or tuberose..but this blend is intoxicating! The florals mixed with the orris and patchouli are great, but what makes this SO different, are the green notes permeating the scent with an herbal freshness that I remember smelling in the original Bobbi Brown. She always said she never used a single flower in her signature scent, but there is SOMETHING they both shared...that green-ness keeps this from getting too cloying and makes this so unusual and original. I also smell iris in the drydown..it's not listed but I swear it's in there I do not smell wet cement. At all. 🤷 This one is a keeper..will deffo pop for an extra bottle! 10/10 performance. ( My first 10! in over 300 perfumes I have right now).. A big fat 10 overall, as well. It's a real stunner, this one. EDIT- Couldn't wait..got an extra bottle while I still can, since I have heard they have discontinued this. What a mistake.🫤

Read all the comments... even though I’m a fan of patchouli I was really doubting, ‘coz never tried any of amouage... BUT. Loved the notes of this fragrance... so I did the blindfold buy of 50ml... as soon as I received it, I immediately unpacked it and sprayed on my wrist... I’m living in Cyprus and summer here is freaking hot +lots of humidity. 😩 needed to go to the shop... and people around me was obviously sniffing!!! 🥰🥰🥰 You know what, guys? I’m so happy I did that!!!! 🤍❤️😍🥰💫😍😍😍It smells so beautiful on me!!! No menthol, no rotten flowers... It’s blooming on me!!!!! My new signature scent! Must admit, it reminds me of Prada Le Femme Intense, that is one of my favorite perfumes too 😍 I’m literally “eating” myself, such a fantastic smell! It’s DIVINE!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 So 10 from 10! It’s really Magic! Feels like Universe is hugging me! Incredibly feminine! I’m taking a bow to this scent creators 🤍💫

🧜🏻♀️ Truly Mermaids scent This is a type of fragrance which you cannot understand from the first sniff or even blotter. This needs only skin. When I’ve got a chance to wear this beauty, it reminded me of a Narciso Rodrigues Narciso (white cube) because of an oily powder kind. Very pleasant, slightly sweet and fluffy powder. My mind draws diamonds 💎 and sparkling white gold dust. You will ask about lilies and gardenia, white flowers and yes, they are very much prominent here, especially in the beginning. Gardenia, as we know, makes a scent a bit soapy and lily, in her turn, gives a colder, fresher feeling to a fragrance. But all these flowery and watery notes are transforming to a diamond powder within 30 min, and right after you can never say, that a perfume is floral. Powder, powder, powder...... mmmmmm...... powder 🥰 Very long lasting, very long pleasing. Good luck and be inspired 💋

I find this perfume hard to put in words; I can say that I like it, but at the same time I can't decipher it. It makes me think of a big, lush, creamy white flower. But there's so many complex undertones. It did remind me of Cacharel Eden at first, which I had recently tested it and decided I didn't like, so that disconcerted me a bit. But after that first acquaintance, it slowly won me over. There's a sort of savory undertone that tempers the sweetness a bit, almost in an edible way. It gives the fragrance an unusual dimension. There's also something papery? However, it still maintains the aspect of "garden flowers", but they are dreamlike, elusive flowers. The name fits it well. It has such a distinctive effect, but at the same time, it's elusive; you can't quite catch it or define it, like a dream that leaves a strong impression but which you can't delineate.

I just love this fragrance. I’m also not a Sephora/Ulta fragrance person. I love unique scents. This was a blind buy. Not a linear fragrance by any means. You get the white florals mixed with a fresh sichuan pepper skin that’s subtle and the white florals are contrasted with a stemmy green accord. It’s not delicate but it’s feminine. It’s white florals that’s covered in spices. I detect the earthy patchouli which is subtle and the papyrus. Not a beast like Guidance 46 which gets sickening. I love getting wafts of this as I move around. It’s almost a chypre which I’m a fan of. Safe for office and can be worn in warmer weather too. Edit: smell it on me faintly the next morning and it’s a powdery addictive dry down. Update: got two compliments wearing this today.

Such a weird perfume, and I oscillate between loving and hating it. It's an abstract white floral jumble with saffron and spices, but also this sort of tart, cheesey element which is kept at bay (only just, and sometimes not enough) by a creamy sweetness. It's one of the more difficult Amouages, and this is from a house known for difficult perfumes, and from its most erratic, bizarre era. I can totally understand why people hate it, and I actually sold my bottle, but I have bought it again (for an absolute steal, the benefit of it being so divisive maybe), as it never quite removed its tendrils from my brain. By the way, put a spritz of Opus I on top 😉😉😉

I find the reviews so interesting for this scent. I was expecting to find it challenging but it isn't really. It opens with a rich white floral accord, akin to gardenia and tuberose, mixed with a fragrant pepper, like that in Chinese Five Spice. Over time other florals come forward and the pepper blends into the background. At the mid-point the fragrance smells slightly green (like cardamom), slightly powdery and spicy, with lingering white flowers. It starts to resemble Cacharel Eden in the dry down, but softer and dustier. Beautiful.

My skin chemistry is a bit odd, so I’m not too surprised by the negative reviews below. Personally I get no plastic or rotting flowers, this is a white floral scent on me with a smidge of pepper. It’s worth mentioning that the tuberose is very well blended IMO, as it’s there, but doesn’t dominate the overall scent as tuberose often does. I got this for a bargain (as far as Amouage fragrances go) on allbeauty and I’m really enjoying wearing it just now.

This was a blind buy, but I am so happy that I’ve bought this. This is such an amazing evocative scent. Simply a poetry in a bottle. This is a photorealistic portrait of a walk in a garden in early spring just after the rain. It literally transported me to my grandmother’s garden - with wet soil, lilies, gardenias right after the rain. I understand that it is not everyone’s cup of tea- but just try it. It lasts all day with a moderate sillage.

Мммм да..... има общо с кашарел eden, но е много по лек,фин,изискан. Аромата е хубав,летен с цветно-водни нотки. За блата,джунгли и други такива и дума не може да става. Както повечето арабски рецептури така и тази е мека, сапунчеста без кристалност и хрупкавост. Може би за това мнението за този парфюм е че наподобява омекотител или прах за пране. Определено обаче е летен и тогава разкрива истинския си потенциал. edit: жесток аромат...

I already reviewed the perfume below but I just want to add that I was wearing it yesterday during the sunny, mildly cold autumn weather and I got several compliments for this perfume, one was from a stranger. So even though this perfume has many negative reviews (which I don't try to criticize or undermine at all because understandably, fragrance is a very subjective thing) it definitely can get you some compliments. :)

If you were going to get on a relaxing boat ride or river tour that you had been on many times before and knew where it was going, that is this perfume to me. Strong enough to be an experience, but subtle enough to take others along for the ride. This is not an amusement part excursion, but a lazy-river, “let’s relax and enjoy the scenery” gondola ride overlooking a field of gorgeous white flowers and greenery. Amazing.

You must be very open minded to love this parfume but after that you will fell in love with it! It’s the world’s most strongest parfume IMO. One spritz is more then enough-it is fills a room easily and lasts 24 hours. This is the queen of white flowers - beautifule and self confident. Lily, tuberose, ylang and jasmine. Heavy flowers for strong personalities. LOVE!!!

I'm fall in love from first sniff. Humid green, dewy fresh flowers, breath before dawn , mystique nature, these are image and feeling I have from this perfume. Poetic and visual. Just like I'm looking some painting of Henri Rousseau . I don't know who is creator of this perfume, I'd like to say " Thank you "

This is one of the most unique creations I ever smelled. Powdery and white floral, yet somehow the overall impression is green and wet and oriental in the same time. And all this is so well blended you have a harmonic smell. it is extremely lasting. the bottle is beautiful. do not blind buy!

This is a wonderful and uncommon scent. It does not smell like any flowers but does smell like nature in the best sense. It is truly captivating, definitely suited best for fall, and vaguely reminiscent of the smell of a library. This scent can be worn by men or women.

On my skin, this is a very watery, mermaidy scent! Don't own it yet, but have tried it on my skin several times. A siren of the Black Sea who grows legs and walks the streets every Full Moon!

Having blind bought Figment was a not the smartest decision for me, especially that it was my first Amouage. Saying that, it is not a fragrance I love and wear frequently. I very much prefer Love Tuberose and other heavy white florals in my collection. Figment’s opening is a very sharp, minty, fresh peppered gardenia, with lily, tuberose and jasmine. The trio of spicy notes: sichuan pepper, cassia bourbon and the papyrus are so strong that overpower all the other notes listed for the entire life of the fragrance on me. Spices galore!! Plus, the patchouli in this feels very leathery and masculine. So, as you might have guessed, the reason I don’t love Figment is that this first and foremost a spices bomb combo with white flowers. I wanted Figment to be a white floral with spices, but Amouage decided it differently. I wanted a different take on white flowers than the sweet, creamy one in Love Tuberose! The incense and the orris roots manage to cut through the spiciness in the deep dry down and tame a bit the spices from the top and heart notes, but it’s still 80% spices. This is an unusual fragrance and totally unisex, the flowers are not the main player here at any point. In my experience, Figment is another example from Amouage catalog of an acquired taste. I would not recommend anybody to blind buy this like I did without a thorough testing unless they are looking particularly for a good spicy scent. The performance is on par with the most of the Amouage collection, quite strong with moderate projection, which is more than enough in this case. I wouldn’t call this a versatile fragrance, just because of how heavy and headache inducing can be in the warm weather. Did that mistake once and it wasn’t fun, trust me on that. Maybe more a fall and spring scent. Unique juice in a unique coloured bottle. I think it’s discontinued now, which makes me think it’s not very popular and that I am not the only one that finds it very challenging.

Figment is an unusual take on a white floral scent. After a heady tuberose opening, it does resemble Cacharel's famously polarising Eden with a sharp, strong greenness and mutifaceted yet bombastic white florals. Yet it is a more refined version - smoother, more nuanced and less like pine-scented toilet cleaner. Figment, like Eden, is still jungle-like and intense - potentially polarising despite being a more upmarket version. There is some sweetness to the white florals too, but Figment is so much more than a sweet white floral. It is as if all aspects of the white floral accord can be smelled here, from the green nuances of budding tuberose to the hint of decay that withering lily gives off. Figment opens with a strong white floral accord - a surprisingly good rendering of gardenia initially, then mostly tuberose. A hint of spice adds colour, and then the Eden-esque vivid green notes emerge. As it develops, ylang ylang emerges, adding a tropical quality to the white floral bouquet. Orange blossom gives a slight fruity effect and the lily note marries well with the tuberose of the opening, adding to the heady, waxy, ultra-realistic white floral bouquet. It gets powdery as it dries down thanks to the clean jasmine and orris, with subtle hints of smoky spice. A pinch of patchouli adds earthiness, but it is very subtle. It primarily remains a green-tinged white floral until final fade. Sillage is strong and longevity is long-lasting. A spring/summer scent (in theme despite its strength), Figment is certainly feminine-leaning. A well-composed white floral scent with a tropical, jungly edge. Elevated Eden. 4/5.

The saffron note is very prominent for me here. It reminds me a bit of being in a Nepalese specialty store of some sort? I feel like it would suit a woman in her 70s-80s who smokes and gives psychic readings in her small apartment and has story after story to tell about various coups and underground movements she's been involved in. But ... as someone who likes gentler scents, I found this overwhelming and had to wash it off. UPD: I tried this again a few days later and it smelled *very* different. The poopy/fertiliser note I'd initially smelled was gone, replaced by out-of-control white and yellow florals with some miscellaneous funk in the background. Walking through the spring courtyards of my neighbourhood, past heavy mimosa trees and honeysuckle bushes and pigeons and overflowing trash cans, I felt totally in harmony with my surroundings. I still wouldn't wear this socially because I find the vibe to be heavily-made-up grandma, but wow, what a difference from the first day. UPD2: I think I love this? I'm wearing this in the rain today. It smells sweet, sweaty, earthy, and wise. I like to think it suits me (?!)

So, another BB. Not sure whether or not this is a successful BB, yet. I wish I knew where the name for this perfume came from; silly me was expecting a figgy treat like, Philosykos or the charming cheap thrill Green Tea Fig, maybe a long time love Cristobal or surprising Mancera Pearl. Nope not even close. I sniffed the nozzle before I spritzed, immediately I was reminded of Jergens Cherry Almond hand cream. An hour later cherry is still there.... huh.... (not in the notes). As the drydown continues, ylang is taking over on my wrists. It seems to be duking it out with other big notes and hints of others in the background that don't want to be squelched. The pepper, jasmine and gardenia are huge, but in the background, there are hints of sweet smoke and a touch of leather. None of this is listed in the notes, but I do smell smoky sweet (maybe that cherry again) something and a kiss of worn leather. For me, this is the kind of juice I reach for in fall & winter. It seems a touch heavy for a heat wave. Right now, it's 85 degrees in the Boston area. I don't know that I can pull this off in summer.

I have a small sample. ----- Very very thick sweet white flowers. Sweet not in a candy-ish way, but in that thick sweet scent of flowers when they are overripe and just starting to decay and attract all the insects to their nectar and pollen. Airy but not light at all. Jasmine, magnolia and mainly ylang-ylang and gardenia. There's some note I recognize from childhood, thick like syrup, but I am unsure what it is. To me, it smells like a mix of Pure Poison and Chanel Gardenia and green banana peel, amped up to 1000. Thick, heady. Strong projection too. Makes me want to go to an open-air market and leave a waft of this scent behind me. UPDATE: After a few hours, it goes more airy and transparent, almost like a cool, bright white floral. Very very beautiful and classy. I like it very much. It really fills the same fragrance role as Pure Poison (a beautiful, bright, transparent white floral), but this one is even more bright.

Have had a much better second impression than my hilariously bad first impression in which this smelt, quite literally, I might add, of vomit. It was highly unpleasant - I actually rushed home to scrub it off. The second time, I at least enjoy it quite a bit. I don't know WHAT happened the last time, but this is quite different. Having smelt both vintage and current Eden, I get the comparison but wouldn't say the likeliness is high. The tuberose in this is rubbery and dare I say it: chewy. Its textured like nobody's business. The gardenia and tuberose combination with pepper and other such spices make this a little soapy and somewhat unpleasant. This only occurs for the first few hours, though. I'm glad I gave this a second chance. Like many other Amouage fragrances, I dont think I'd ever purchase this (mainly due to the price point), but I can say the journey has been fun.

I had forgotten what the notes were that I had read on here by the time I got to test it and my first thought was just - "I'm in the bushes, there are fresh figs in here - so I guess the notes must have contained fig/fig leaves and that must be why it's called FIGment. " Not so. Checked the notes again and remembered I had wanted to try this because of the Sichuan pepper note which I love due to it's spicy, floral, fragrant effect in food. Did not really detect this note at all though. It feels very green, freshly cut stems, tuberose, check, lily, check and a sense of the papyrus and orris and certainly the illusion of fig is there but not sure how. I like sniffing it but it's not one I want to wear as it's a bit too green for my taste. Is it called figment because it smells like fresh figs? Would love to know 🤔

This is am amazing white floral with the best lasting power. After one sprit on paper scented my bag and it lasted for days, I had to get it. It is such intoxicating, complex a tad dirty, a tad cool/fresh flower bouquet! However when worn, I easily get used to it and it does not feel very strong to me, so yes, I go a bit nose blind to it. It is still there, but at least I feel like I am wearing pretty (but still complex, deep and a bit dirty) inoffensive white floral, maybe almost a it dated, but not quite. Not sure if this is what others are feeling, because the scent stays on my clothes for days after wearing it, and smells incredible (better than worn on me 😅) ... If you want a deep and non-boring (or non-bland, or non-generic) white floral, with amazing lasting power, try this!

A floral fragrance, extremely strong, suffocating if you miss the dose. It is not at all light, airy and springy. Over this rich bouquet of flowers lies a transparent wave of spices which gives it a mystical , oriental aura to the perfume. I find no resemblance to Eden although the pyramids are similar. Instead it is extremely similar almost to the point of confusing them with Rosso Accento from Sospiro! It is wearable both during the day and at events or when you want to be unique, because you meet it quite rarely. A true Amouage, premium quality and performance.

The opening smells like black licorice and mint to me. These notes together seems odd but when dry down occurs it’s magically. It’s perfect for cold weather. I keep smelling myself because the scent is intoxicating. This was a blind buy and I almost didn’t buy because of the reviews here but I’m very happy I did! Got a full bottle from Maxaroma during the Holiday sale. My only regret is that I wished I’d bought two bottles! The bottle is gorgeous too!

Brace yourself for the powerful pepper opening that goes for an hour plus. This is an oddball choice from Amouage, and I find it intriguing though my partner really disliked the opening. I do get a white floral party near a swamp in the drydown—though no individual note stands out. I know that description sounds vague, but I like this perfume. There’s something very “earth mother” about this offering. I will need a bigger decant.

This is strong and sharp perfume... only for the brave Besides myth woman amouage i also like this frag.. represent my personality ... This perfume remind me of many things Like I'm in the middle of big garden and there is some rice ear bug!! (i think this more like china herbal that i was sniff 20 years ago...) That's all is combine in my nose...... Unique also beautiful Never get wrong with this performance...

starting off i get a very peppery gardenia/tuberose/orris combination. the orris leans papery. this is interesting and it gets more papery over time with a leathery nuance- orris/papyrus? there is only a hint of ylang ylang and lily on me for quite awhile, but lily gets stronger later on. a somewhat smoky jungle floral.

Even if I love tuberose, and this perfume specifically, most of the time it gave me headaches. It's very powerful, but I discovered that it can be tamed, if layered with Violet Musc from Ajmal. Try for yourself and see what a beauty it becomes.

Powdery floral. A beautiful mix of ylang-ylang, gardenia and tuberose covered in a smooth layer of powder. Intoxicating and long-lasting. Give it a try!

Pellucid tuberose beauty, with just a touch of crotch.

This is a challenging perfume for someone who has just joined the niche bandwagon. I have been a niche collector for quite some time but has just got a bit more serious recently. To me, this a straight up unisex fragrance, there is nothing feminine about this other than the name Figment "woman". Going back to the challenging part, for someone who has vast collection of mass pleasing, designer fragrances, this was a real shock to me. I did not know why I commit to 50ml of this and even blind bought it. The opening was definitely a perfect birth control, you will chase your partner away with the opening so please this is not a date perfume. If you can only pass the test and wait for the dry down, then this perfume is actually worth to keep. This is not for everyone even if you want to be different, no, please try this or buy a decant first before you commit. This is not a cheap perfume and the risk to blind buy this is just not worth it hahaha... I am still going to keep mine and will only wear in on occasions I want to be seen stronger, like business meeting.

This smells pretty accurate to the listed notes- Theres a spicy kick from the Sichuan pepper, definitely catching some lilies in the heart, a subtle bubblegummy tuberose that wafts through, and patchouli is pretty dominant here. I don’t have an issue with patchouli but I’d like this fragrance better if it lacked that note; as it stands there’s an element in here that’s a bit “men’s aftershavy” which I’m not too fond of.
