Interlude 53 Man

This stuff is so good, it almost make me want to cry. I put one spray on my left hand and this juice smelled absolutely incredible, absolutely divine, magnificent. Amouage is officially the best house in the entire world, who else has such a diverse great collection of fragrances to choose from that are superb creations to be reckoned with? Maybe I got luck with the bottle I have because this juice in my hand is out of this world good, I will be writing Amouage a thank you letter/email for their stunning works of art, King Blue, Overture man/woman, Journey, Search, Imitation, Gold, Royal Tobacco, all these one's I was able to get my nose on are Terrific, I can't stop wearing Interlude 53 this stuff is Sublime, Heaven in a Bottle, can't think of anything I have smelled that is so well blended, so complex and beautiful as this one. Made me feel like I was in Heaven with beautiful Angels. This might be the fragrance that GOD wears, so so GOOD. 100 out of 10 for me. This is how Interlude should be done, Interlude Man Perfected, minus the harshness. Masterpiece scent. Thank you Amouage for this Legendary Scent, Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. Just smelled the newest batch of Interlude Man, it smells exactly like 53, I tried Black Iris as well, does not smell anything like Interlude, I almost bought a bottle of the stuff too, do not get the Iris, Get 53 then if you can't find it discounted get The original. This juice is heavenly, I would stock pile all these bottles so no one else can have it, this stuff is priceless, Nuclear Beast mode longest lasting scent ever created, smells fabulous, I'm waiting to see if stock gets low, if people realize how good this juice is I will instantly buy a 2nd bottle if I haven't already, maybe a 3rd bottle, this might be the best Fragrance, my favorite of my entire collection, Potent stuff, magical, delicious, not offensive at all, the original new formulation smells exactly like Interlude 53, of course without the longevity being 53% oils, still will be super beast mode, this stuff is incredible, nothing else like, super unique, no other brand will ever be able to clone this, I would buy 100 bottles of the 53 if I could, not sure how this one is not sold out, epic Fragrance for everyone to enjoy. Just got this Expensive Bottle $520 from the Official Site. Wow this version is way better than the original Interlude. I pick up the Bergamot, then a beautiful dose of Incense. This stuff is great. Today, I'm wearing 53 and I'm smelling delicious honey, this has to be the most magical Scent ever created, that can take you on amazing adventures. I keep smelling new notes from this juice. I'm picking up Hops, beautiful stunning smell of fresh hops, this potent Luxury sauce Lasts forever. So much better than the original, so dynamic, so so good, my favorite Niche house. This Flanker is absolutely amazing you have to get your nose on it if you can or just try the new Interlude batches they smell exactly like 53 but of course at the $520 price point 53 will be better but by how much? I can't say but they both smell pretty much exactly the same. I put one spray on each hand a few days ago, it's going and going forever. Read 100's of reviews to make sure I would like this remix of the Original, and it did not disappoint. The original choked people out when I wore it. This one is way way smoother, so much better, not cloying. I have not found a better beast mode than this bottle. I tested Kerosene followed, not beastly enough, Mancera Red Tobacco, not good enough, and didn't like the smell that much of Red Tobacco Intense, maybe the Original Red Tobacco is good, not the intense at all. Almost all amouage line is super complex, beautifully blended, such a great house, my favorite so far with all of their selection, there is something for everyone. I have overture, what a masterpiece, I wanted to smell this great fragrance, but the sample was empty. The best fragrances are the complex ones, not the one note hitters like Baccarat Rouge where your basically just smelling Saffron. Interlude 53 is so good, fantastic beast mode #1 on Planet Earth in My Opinion of Beast Mode Frags, the new Interlude batches and at least the 53 i know because I own a bottle is leagues above everything else right now.

This is one of those fragrances that I (paradoxical to the notion of 'wearing' fragrance itself) do not even review for its wearability or practicality. I think we have established for quite some time that it is difficult for most to find a good occasion to wear this. In fact, I've only sprayed from my bottle a few times in the many years since I've owned this - almost all being for my own satisfaction (ie. Not for public use). Now, to the fragrance itself: masterclass. At a level of it's own. It's been out for some time, with plenty of microbrands to try and borrow stylistic ideas from but none to replicate it's glory. Remember, we're talking about a even smoother, denser and more powerful Interlude Man. It will truly take you through an olfactory experience - a museum - where each occasion you spray it, it elicits different memories and curiosities about the various regions and history that inspired this fragrance. It's original, dark and timeless. Dare I say one of the best men's fragrances ever created. The breakdown is the same as Interlude (and well covered by those below) only with a slightly different emphasis on specific notes within the composition - luckily all the notes I love. Less oregano, smokier, dense, and smoother than the original. While eternally lasting, it's projection is more tame and elegant. I've seen some suggest that the original is more nuanced/complex and I respectfully disagree. I believe that the original (maybe just from the lower oil content) may give that illusion as each individual note "stabs" out at you more. This is smooth. Interestingly, for how long Interlude has been out and with plenty of dupes on the horizon (Midnight Oud being the only tolerable one), I think the community has lost appreciation for the originality and flawless execution of this release by Amouage. Like I mentioned, I've owned it for years but never felt compelled to drop my note of appreciation until I saw this recent indifference. With the popularity of Black Iris (which is much more wearable imo) on certain social media platforms such as Tiktok, a different and certainly younger/teenage audience has ended up trying this one out and I've seen the original Interlude's (and 53's) reviews/ratings precipitously drop since. I don't think it does justice to this as this fragrance is not so suitable for younger men. A mature man - especially those into Middle Eastern perfumery - should use every opportunity to test this one out. Even 5-10mL will last you years.

Thick, oily beast. A bit rounder, smoother and better blended than the original interlude IMHO. What's so great about this when compared to the original is that it is verrrry slow in its evolution, just when you think it has settled into its final form, it completely changes into its next phase. In the first phase, you get the very spicy and herbal facets with lots of smoke, pimento, oregano and a bit of sparkly bergamot at the top, it's a blast in your face and the brightest, most aromatic stage. Honestly it takes about 1 hour just to leave the opening, and then I'd say about 3 hours in is when it really starts to settle into what we know as interlude. For this phase, you get that classic, rounded interlude smell which don't get me wrong is very beautiful, powerful and unique but also a bit challenging for me, it's almost a bit angry smelling, almost instills a feeling of instability. Not in a way that makes it unpleasant but it can certainly bring forward an intense mood. Very smokey and ambery in the phase with the herbs toned down a bit. Some perfumes are "cozy", "intimate", "warm hug", "comforting". This is not that. Or at least not until later. The words that come to mind during this middle phase are "massive", "cavernous", "dark", "Immense", "abyssal." You can expect a couple hours of this at least, and because it is less punchy than the beginning phase, your mind can be tricked into thinking you aren't projecting but trust me this stuff is still beaming off of you monstrously. Now past the 7 hour phase is when things start to really settle in and you get more of the warm, resinous, woody aspects. This is what I consider to be the start of the true dry-down. Hours 7-15 are when you are met with the most beautiful, luxurious, sillage. You really start to smell the oud, the leather, the woods and resins. the stage is truly intoxicating, addictive and inviting. Unquestionably, my favorite part of the whole wear experience, never smelled anything else like it. You can expect a 16 hour experience on skin so this is a big commitment. If you spray this on your clothes, expect them to smell like interlude for weeks and weeks. It won't go away until it's thoroughly washed. A work of art, not for utility, not for someone who just wants to smell nice. A true 10 in my eyes.

Extremely Loud, Intense, Spicy, Incensey, Balsamic and Smokey. Shiny layer of oil settles on the skin. This is louder than the og. First sprays immediately enormously fills a room. Silage trail is pretty awesome. The Fiery spicy pepper and the dried green oregano opening you'll need to like and enjoy. The Incensey and yet beautiful heavy amber labdanum you've got to let yourself soak it in and feel it. The drydown is as beautiful and lovely. Og vs 53...my simple thoughts... the dry green oregano seems tuned down, the frankincense seems stronger, the sweet sticky amber seems louder, richer, denser, rounder, fuller, deeper. Og vs 53... officially from Amouage reply... "Interlude 53 concentrate went through a full 8 weeks maturation while the final fragrance was left in maceration for a total of 16 weeks, carefully monitoring its evolution every four weeks. As a comparison, the original Interlude Man Eau de Parfum goes through 3 weeks of maturation and 3 weeks of maceration and you get more deep base note and has 25% of concentrate. Interlude 53 is so rich, deep, textured and the way it develops is amazing. Definitely smells Interlude but without the opening “punch”, you get to smell the other ingredients that you do not smell in the original, and the dry down is beautiful." That's 42 days vs 180 days.. Now... Interlude 53 is not for the beginners and lightweight users. Its catered towards a specific base who enjoys the above Olfactory journey by using it. If you feel you are up for a challenge, grab a bottle.

I disagree, the iris version is taken over by the iris completely making it almost a totally difference fragrance. You barely smell the interlude DNA, the new interlude formulation is fantastic, don't need to second guess it with the iris version. No doubt the OG 2017 bottles were mega beast mode, so much I love the new ones, I am getting the skanky batch 2017 with interlude written on the side of the bottles in the mail this Wednesday because I love the new Interlude 53 so much I want the most power beast which is the 2017 version, harsh? Maybe if you spray 5 times try one or two for the perfect experience. Interlude 53 is incredible, I will be getting a 2nd bottle when mine runs out. I hear myth's man has similar vibe to Interlude, but this one is discontinued. Anything that smells like Interlude I would love to try, if it's like 53. I believe Hindu Kush from Mancera is compared to interlude, plus it has great reviews on their top sellers on the official site. Interlude 53 is magical, can't recommend it enough, 10/10 Beast mode, great dry down, compliments? Not yet but I'm not around a lot of people as much as others. The perfect environment is office type setting for compliments, not outside in the wind wear your scent will be everywhere blowing to who knows what. I know because I got 2 incredible compliments with two different scents in the office, at a previous job. Two of my managers said I smell amazing after putting a cheap essential oil on, won't see which one, my trade secret. Went to a smoke shop, lady behind the counter said I smell incredible! All from a simple cheap essential oil 100% oil, to think you can get compliments without paying hundreds of dollars. Looking to get a bottle of Dior Homme Intense, just got Angels share, not really impressed by that one, the dry down is where it shines the most. Interlude 53 is hands down the best fragrance ever created.
