Love Mimosa

On the first day, we approached each other with respect. I didn't judge her alarming top notes, and she didn't do anything weird to my body chemistry. On the second day, I felt like a stubby peg-legged seafarer, greeting her with an apropos "Ahoy, ye dewy butters! Yon green wet fatty banana flower airs be very fetchin'!" On this, the third day, we have fallen in love. Some other useless notes: I agree this is linear, long lasting, intense, and easily made wonky with differing body chemistry. I disagree that it is unrealistic, laundry detergenty, or weak. I find the cascalone + violet to read as a very juicy ripe green flower bud, and not as melon or cucumber or anything else cascaloney. The extreme drydown (the smell you wake up to the following day) is a very weird musky banana ylang ylang. I can tell this was underneath the entire time the day before, but it is not until all the mimosa, orris, and other delights have long faded that it becomes foreign and synthetic. Easily remedied-- just wash yourself. I do wish the pear was just the tiniest bit more present, but I also suspect it is good that it isn't. It would be pushed into that fruity floral range that I am just NOT looking for. And thank god there is no vanilla. This is a love for me. I will wait eagerly for this one to show up on the discounted sites for $260, instead of $375. lol

LOVE MIMOSA based on a sample (3 wearing) If I’m just thinking how Mimosa smells I would never choose this scent. Anyway this scent is refreshing and sweet in the same time as I can find there a fresh aquatic note blended together with a sweetness from Pear and Ylang-Ylang like sweet powdery Mimosa as well. This really smells like a spring turning into summer. Mimosa is strong only in the opening, after that it blends with other notes in the perfect way. Not so unique but very versatile and non offensive scent. Not so much Amouage like I have used to but I enjoy this one regardless. This is feminine scent and could be worn easily in the office. Amouage’s complexity is absence. I will write an in depth review if I will buy a FB, I haven't decided yet. Thank you for reading, I hope my review was helpful. I got this as a free extra sample with another purchase and tried it at the time, thought it was nice and put it away..... then I kept thinking about it for months. Such a lovely fresh summer scent, to me it smells like mimosa flowers and sunscreen. During a particularly hot summer day I dug it out again and wore it, just as lovely as I remembered and now my full bottle is on the way! I have tried a lot of floral scents and never find myself particularly taken with them, I’ve realised yellow florals are where my heart lies. They smell quintessentially Australian, beachy, polleny and fresh so if you’re not a floral girlie give this (and other yellow florals) a try!

At first it's very similar to the smell of new inflatable balls in talc mixed with mimosa. And when i've applies on the skin the smell of inflatable balls transfigured into the field of tulips, a floral pollen, then into a cool greenery & fluffy mimosa. Aquatic notes give the feeling of a dewy orangery with spring flowers or field of tulips after the rain. In Love Mimosa there is something vintage and nostalgic from childhood, yes and inflatable balls are only on holidays )). I'll be with pleasure to wear it in springtime.

I have Hair Mist and it is lovely. It works on hair as well as on skin and surrounds me with a hot wind full of golden pollen. It is very similar to the edp that I also have but in a sampler. It is so summery! Since I often make a break in parfume use for summer, hair parfume offer an alternative. This hair mist is rather strong. 12 hours since and I can still feel the hair mist on my wrist. On my hair not really, anymore. Yellow is a good colour to define it. It’s a reeeeeeeeeally nice mimosa scent! It’s not too dusty, not too green and not too sweet! In fact, there is a beautiful balance between all those aspects. For me it’s not a photorealistic mimosa, but rather a beautiful dream of mimosa: more rounded and dreamy. Usually I’m not a big fan of floral scent, but this one definitely ruins all my stereotypes. What a perfect name for the most beautiful mimosa fragrance. It starts off with soft realistic aquatic note of cucumber and powdery orris. Then the scents intensify as the mimosa open up with mild sweetness of pear added. Heliotrope appears after, while the ylang ylang is very subtle in the background. Sillage is arm length around the wearer. Longevity is amazingly 16 + hrs on hair & clothing. Overall, it’s a blissful mimosa fragrance and I feel so innocent and feminine while wearing it. LOVE MIMOSA.

This is beautiful. Fresh and yet fluffy and polleny. The violet leaf/cascalone opening is so light, like a cool fresh breeze that’s carried some water - you can smell rain coming. Yet the yellow and purple florals paint the fragrance with sunshine and warmth. Lightly sweet and fairly playful. Lasts really well but isn’t too loud or immature. Such a lovely sunny and subtle scent for warmer days.

This is a very unique take on mimosa. It's not like anything else I have (e.g. Guerlain Champs Elysees, Goldfield and Banks Velvet Splendour or Fragonard Belle de Grasse). Here it's more a floral gourmand. Picture eating a dessert of pear and ice-cream by the seaside in the vicinity of a mimosa (acacia) tree. Very beautiful, soft and powdery, sunny and delicious.

The most beautiful flowery sweetness I've ever smelled. First I can smell aquatic notes with pear, and a beautiful bouquet of mimosa, as natural as it can be - wonderful. Sweet, but not cloying, fresh, but very feminine & elegant, innocent, but sexy at the same time... And the drydown is sweet powdery heaven with a lot of heliotrope. Pure heaven.

You're every bright shade of yellow--buttery, and creamy, and warm, and gentle, and full. You're the sunshine reflecting off of soft skin, the juicy, sweet pear sliced and savored on the coastline, the mimosa--a thousand pillowy flower petals cradling a single soul. A bottle full of sunshine. A creamy floral perfume that has good longetivity. If you used to love kenzo summer you will love this but mimosa is an older more refined version of kenzo summer. I think they discontinued it and im just not sure why. Its an easy fresh floral summery scent but has projection! I use it sparingly

Starts with honeyed pear and violets, mimosa's pollen innocently in the background reminding me of immortelle. The canvas notes are warm, slightly powdery. Stylish. Lasts at least 24 hours, giving a luxurious aura of vanillic heliotrope, ylang-tinged musk and soft powder. Luxurious. I feel very good in it.

Suffocatingly strong and dense. But it does smell good. It's kind of similar to Reflection Woman. I'd say if RW is a light sorbet this is a fatty, creamy ice-cream version. There's a hint of Opus III, although Opus III is 100 times better.

I love it so much, and I’m very sad that it’s discontinued! The freshness, the floral touch, and the mimosa are just incredible. I truly adore this perfume—every time I wear it, I feel happy and refreshed.

I really like this. It smells like a creamy mimosa on me. It's a bright and happy scent. It is VERY strong, so I would recommend the "spray in the air and walk through the mist" method.

Gorgeous Mimosa scent, an absolute MUST for that note lovers. A cloud of fluffy, yellow Mimosa pollen under the blue, blue sky. Such a shame it's discontinued.

This scent is more feminine but I still love it. It’s a sweet floral scent with great projection on my skin. Guys don’t be afraid to wear this.

Just what I need to jumpstart my spring. Makes me smile.

The last one I try in the Garden Collection and hands down my most favourite. Lilac Love, which was the one drawing me to the collection in the first place, is the most disappointing. Not because it is a bad scent, but more because on my skin it is a very mature, formal, cool-weather kind of frag that is nothing like the pale purple bottle and the notes of the perfume suggest. I was soo looking forwards to using it in spring, then I was like, "Nope, this is at best an autumnal scent." Love Tuberose is well, straight up sweet tuberose with some creaminess in it. A lovely scent, but nothing to write home about. I can't even see myself forking out $150 for a full bottle, let alone $370. Blossom Love, similar to how Lilac Love doesn't smell like Lilac at all, is a generic creamy floral on me w some lingery plasticky hint - not sure what exactly causes that but this makes Blossom Love the most synthetic smelling of the four on me. No cherry nor blossom. Each time I wear it, I feel like I'm using a more expensive body spray that is trying so hard to be different from its more affordable counterparts but fails dismally. I thus kept my expectations low for Mimosa Love after the initial not-so-impressive three and finally had a pleasant surprise. Mimosa Love reacts to my chemistry exactly the way it does on KaylasScent (the third comment from the bottom), and I think she has described it much better than I neccessarily can, so I'm just going to steal some of her words here lol "beautifully bright", "smell like sunshine in the best possible way". Yes the opening is a bit worrying - sharp, synthetic and plasticky (I'm looking at you, too, Blossom Love!) but it quickly settles into a lively, uplifting cloud of mimosa softness fhat envelops around you in the most elegant manner. The cascalone note adds a layer of dewiness that prevents it from being too sweet or powdery. Very good staying power and longevity for a springy soft scent. A mimosa much more well-done than the Mimosa & Cardamom by Jo Malone London and a more high-end, long-lasting dupe for Prada Infusion Mimosa. 4.5 out of 5.

Maybe personal, maybe not, but mimosas have always read like loneliness to me. Blooming in clusters yet smelling of hush, soft isolation, delicate powder against the din of the world. Love Mimosa is a fragrance that understands this—half warmth, half distance, never fully unfurling. Poetic, and beautiful, and not something I would ever wear. It opens a shimmer. Airy, a little zesty but nothing of sharpness. I catch a most fragile gleam of pear, brushed lightly against a green, almost aquatic background. Dew-speckled and translucent are the words. This sweetness almost barely exists as it is quickly whisked away by something else. Something soft, like a sigh dissipating into empty space. Something lonely. The mimosa makes its appearance, featherlight and weightless, as pollen caught in not sunbeam but empty blue morning. There is an illusion of texture more distinct, yet it never quite materializes. Creamy but not the least bit thick, floral but a far cry from lush. Something smells faintly of green, not of stems but of sap, of buds yet to bloom. There is something restrained about it, something that reads like waiting. Enter pale, violet-grey melancholy. Heliotrope keeps the mimosa at a distance, ensures it never grows too kind, too inviting. A scent caught in mid-air, never settling onto skin. I am left to linger in a space between intimacy and absence, dusted with pale yellow frost delicate but not comforting, airy but not free. Standing in sunlight and feeling nothing at all. That is Love Mimosa.

How beautifully bright! Smells like candied pears, butter and sunshine in the best possible way. The opening worried me slightly, it's very sweet, but this settles down quickly. This one is perfect misted over skin, if I spray too close on my wrist, the 'buttery' smell very quickly becomes intense and nauseating.. I assume this is an effect of the Orris. Misted, it's the perfect straight out of the shower scent, that has surprisingly good longevity. The Ylang and heliotrope stop this scent from becoming a run of the mill fruity aquatic, and in return the pear and aquatic note lift and brighten a usually dense ylang and powdery heliotrope. I'm really enjoying this composition, it has already garnered a few unsolicited compliments from colleagues. Also, talk about a fragrance matching its bottle! I see this one more as 'Sunshine'. Love Mimosa would be perfect for a clear summer's day, brunching and sipping cocktails.. mimosas maybe.. not having a care in the world! Why this came out at the end of summer is beyond me! Anyhow, summer seems to have returned to the UK for the next few days, so I shall continue enjoying and getting to know the lovely Love Mimosa :) This has potential to become one of my preferred Amouage's after Love Tuberose, Interlude(w) and Lyric (m).. very happy I landed a full bottle!

The initial burst is of beautiful yellow, springtime flowers. Why is this so nostalgic, it takes me back to childhood. For some reason, this reminds me of my grandma. She isn’t a boring, powdery grandma. She’s lively, fun, forgiving and a source of strength. The scent matches the colour of the bottle. Innocent fun is what this scent reminds me of. A beautiful, mildly warm and sunlit spring day. It’s very feminine, oriental and natural. The mimosa go on eternally in such generous abundance. There is a sentimental heliotrope note. The pear is fresh and gentle, adding sweet bursts. This fragrance creates a sense of safety and comfort. It embodies the love you have with a special woman in your life, without the sometimes burdening expectation and harsh judgement of a mother. The way she makes you feel: loved, accepted and free due to the marine accord. Performance is good, strong longevity with moderate sillage.

I’m a fan of the perfumer, Elise Benat. I enjoy wearing two of her other creations, Cassis Frénésie By Roger & Gallet and Beach Hut Man by Amouage. She only has 20 total perfumes in the Fragrantica data base, but I think I’m picking up on her style. But it wasn't exactly a “Love Mimosa” this time. Instead I’m feeling neutral toward the scent. It is soft, synthetic (in a good way) and extremely powerful—the attribute I like in my two favorites from her. The scent is very linear, just stronger as expected in the opening. The mimosa is not realistic, and the heliotrope and orris are projecting a lot of powder. My husband loves this scent, which is always a good sign. But not enough sway to make me pull the trigger.

Out of the gate there was a citrussy blast that quickly turned in to a note of burnt rubber. As it opens the burnt rubber fades thank you very much. The floral dry down is very pretty very light. I love the scent but for Amouage I expect more power, something longer lasting....just more. It just falls short. I don't see where people get Champs Elysees at all. I wore that before my mom took it over as her scent in the early 2000s and none of it here...but of course everyone is unique in their sense of smell so who am I to say they are wrong! All in all a lovely scent but not long lasting or strong enough for the price tag.

Love Mimosa is a sprightly and cheerful fragrance. It has decent performance and is office friendly. It's just complex enough to be interesting. There's nothing offensive about this fragrance and at first it comes across as a little bit too linear and simple. However, after some field-testing, I've decided it smells like the colour yellow. Sunny, fresh floral, not too sweet, a faint undercurrent of some juicy green scent that I really enjoy, a little bit airy and aquatic too. Not heady or cloying at all. It performs well in heat and humidity. A great everyday daytime fragrance for spring/summer.

From distance the wafts smell very nice, sort of creamy/milky with these obvious vanilla/yellow-floral tones. There is jasmine aspect to this as well. But up close the fragrance feels very synthethic and harsh (imagine sprayable hair conditioner smell). But from the distance it's very fluffy, kinda like clouds on a sunny summer day, which is probably the best time to wear this fragrance as well. Just imagine a sunny day with clouds on a dandelion meadow. That's how this feels. Every season perfume imo, classy yet approachable and friendly. Probably daytime wear.

In love at first sniff. This is the fresh springy dewy - fresh green - mimosa I've been craving. That sea looking note was off putting but it smells fresh and airy overall, a little powdery. Not getting synthetic vibes. Loving the pear and heliotrope too. I could easily wear tons of this in spring, but I will hold off buying a bottle for now - been stock piling way more perfume than I can use during lockdown! Definitely on my want list though. Edit: Oh noo! Not a laster on me :/

Beautiful bright light yellow florals perfect for high heat. Slightly screechy when smelt up close for the first couple of hours but on drydown it’s just what I want in a summer floral. Yellow florals, fruity and aquatic with a slight green nuance. Although I really do enjoy Love Mimosa I agree it’s not quite what I expected from Amouage. It’s not full bodied or thick as I had anticipated (thankfully). Quality ingredients and blended well, it’s hard to dislike this on drydown.

This is like a sweet air-bubble of powdery pollen, underpinned by the mineral rootiness of orris. The notes of pear and violet leaf add a coolness that's slightly green, and a velvety champagne-fizz texture. It's a bright, heady scent, yet it has an airy, weightless feel. Its potency comes not from heaviness but from a sense of lively expansiveness. To me, Love Mimosa smells like teeming wildflowers, mown grass, and clay dirt warming in the sun of a breezy May afternoon.

the progression is a neat color pyramid: top note intense mimosas, stays on for quite a while, a couple of hours at least - yellow then powdery sweet - pink, or rather magenta, cause it's amouage and it never loses a certain oriental intesity then fresh, aquatic, very ozonic - electric blue awesome, long lasting, perfect progression, i wonder why was it discontinued. the decant i have will last me forever tho, 3 sprays are enough for a whole day, so, oh, well.

Wooow, it's a surprisingly pleasant floral fragrance with airy aquatic notes. It's unique in the good way and very well blended- It is an Amouage definetly! 2 sprays is enough for a day- it is not 'in da face' tipe but there is around you...IMO it's a 4 season fragrance, elegant and pleasant. LOVE :)!!!

Powdery honey and sweet pear water. Love Mimosa is almost sporty in its freshness out of the bottle–but the orris gives it a nice luxe creaminess that keeps it from being overtly chemical. Loud at the start, then settles down to arms length sunny florals and laundry softener for most of the day.

Pretty. The mimosa is almost drowned by the calone and the pear. I wish it had been more mimosa-forward. It’s a bit too artificial. I agree that it’s a bit of an odd duck for Amouage but it’s still pretty. I’m not surprised that it was discontinued.

Yes, it's a little sad that it was discontinued... Every spring I remember this Amouage, I really like it, although others do not tolerate it. I don't smell anything strange in it, just freshness and mimosa. Perfect for the beginning of spring

Seems like La Tulipe by Byredo. Even if it’s fresh, has a hint of a warm when you smell it, it hits your brain. Nice, but for grown up women, young girls need something more fresh. Good for spring, and for yellow flowers fields’ lovers.

Love Mimosa is the right name for it. Soft semi sweet... mimosa. It is like walking under the mimosa tree. Office scent, a day out, a dinner. Really versatile fragance. My favorite Amouage flower line.

Pleasant, persistent. Aquatic mimosa quite peculiar but great in summer and spring daytime. Test before buying. If it was not so expensive, I would consider a full bottle.

Love Mimosa and Reflection are probably the safest blind buys from Amouage, anyone who likes florals will love these two.

It's a sweet and lovely fragrance with good longevity and silage . Dominant notes are mimosa and ylang ylang 💛
