Having reviewed Purpose just yesterday, today’s review of Purpose 50 is entirely intentional. Experiencing them back to back allows for a clear and immediate comparison, with the original still sharply defined in memory. Purpose established itself as dry, structured, and incense-driven, built on restraint and arid depth rather than sweetness or ornamentation. Purpose 50 positions itself not as a different fragrance, but as a more concentrated interpretation of that same vision. With a higher concentration comes the suggestion of added density, greater saturation, and perhaps a more deliberate unfolding. Given my familiarity with the house and the immediacy of yesterday’s wear, expectations here are precise and measured rather than broad. Let’s see whether Purpose 50 simply refines that identity or reshapes it entirely once it meets the skin. Opening: The opening is resinous, spicy, and citrus-driven. The primary notes I get are frankincense, pimento, pink pepper, and bergamot, with frankincense and pimento clearly leading the structure. The frankincense arrives first with a resinous presence that feels refined and mineralic, carrying a subtle citrus thread and a gently smoky undertone. There is a faint lemon-like brightness woven into the resin, giving it lift and clarity rather than heaviness. It feels structured and composed, setting a dry yet luminous foundation. Pimento follows closely with a warm, rounded spice that introduces a clove-like heat, adding depth without sharpness. It enhances the resin’s warmth while keeping the opening dynamic rather than austere. Pink pepper contributes a bright, sparkling spiciness that feels fresh and energetic, sharpening the edges and adding a subtle effervescence to the blend. Lastly, bergamot rounds out the top with a clean citrus brightness, reinforcing the lemon nuance already present in the frankincense while providing a crisp contrast to the deeper spice. The opening is unmistakably reminiscent of the original Purpose, but here it feels more concentrated and deliberate. Where the original felt more layered from the outset, this version presents a more focused introduction, which suggests a progression that may unfold with greater clarity and intention as it develops. Dry Down: The dry down is resinous, woody, and spicy. The primary notes I get are frankincense, akigalawood, sandalwood, and pimento, with frankincense and akigalawood clearly leading the structure. Here, the frankincense deepens into a fuller incense character, emphasizing its resinous, smoke-laced quality with a composed, almost ceremonial presence. It feels steady and grounded rather than sharp, forming the spiritual core of the composition. Akigalawood reinforces that structure with a dry, firmly grained woodiness that remains consistent and controlled, adding a modern edge without turning abrasive. Sandalwood begins to round out the center with a softer, powdery wood tone, introducing a subtle smoothness that tempers the dryness without becoming creamy. Finally, pimento threads through the composition with the same warm, clove-like spice from the opening, adding gentle heat beneath the incense and woods, and keeping the profile dynamic rather than austere. In the background, papyrus contributes a dry, faintly dusty texture that enhances the arid quality established earlier, while suede introduces a restrained leathery nuance. The suede does not read animalic or heavy, but instead offers a smooth, almost mineral leather impression reminiscent of the polished suede tone found in Ganymede, adding refinement and dimension to the base. Performance: Projection is commanding from the first spray, easily filling a room within the initial hour and establishing a dense, unmistakable presence. The scent trail is equally pronounced, leaving a bold and lingering impression that reflects the extrait concentration. After a few hours, performance remains remarkably consistent, with little to no meaningful drop in strength. Even around the eight hour mark, projection is still powerful enough to reach across a room, and the scent trail is still clearly detectable. Longevity extends comfortably past twelve hours before settling closer to the skin. Taken as a whole, Purpose 50 not only performs exceptionally on its own merits, but clearly surpasses the original Purpose in both projection and endurance. When to Wear: Like the original, Purpose 50 is highly versatile in terms of season and setting. Its resinous woods and incense give it depth suited for cooler months, while the brightness within the spice and structure prevents it from feeling restricted to cold weather alone. It transitions effortlessly between daytime and evening wear and can be styled casually, formally, or reserved for special occasions where presence is desired. However, its strength and assertive character make it unsuitable for office environments, even more so than Purpose. The increased concentration amplifies its projection, making discretion difficult in close quarters. This is a fragrance to be worn with, dare I say, purpose. Blind Buy: Purpose 50 is not a safe blind buy, for largely the same reasons as the original. Its pronounced incense, dry woods, and assertive spice profile demand appreciation for resin-heavy compositions. The extrait concentration further intensifies those elements, making it even more important to ensure personal alignment before purchasing. While the quality and blending are undeniable, its strength and stylistic boldness make sampling strongly advisable. Final Verdict: There have been times in my experience with Amouage where the extrait version did not justify its significant price increase over the original, most notably when comparing Jubilation XXV to Jubilation 40. Purpose 50, however, does not fall into that category. The differences between it and Purpose are not subtle. Beyond the clear improvement in performance, the scent profile itself feels more cohesive, more saturated, and more deliberately composed. The incense is richer, the woods more integrated, and the overall structure feels refined rather than simply intensified. While I genuinely enjoyed both versions, Purpose 50 presents itself with greater clarity and confidence. It feels complete in a way that the original only hinted at. When the time is right, this is the version that will earn a place in my collection. Amouage Purpose 50 is a magnificent creation. It’s the fragrance that brought peace and stillness to my passion for scent – a rare moment of calm in my olfactory journey. It’s a truly beautiful composition of resins, incense, and woods. To me, it feels like the masculine counterpart to Guidance. Although it’s dark and intense, it’s not a greasy, ambery, or balsamic fragrance. Instead, you get a dry, dusty, resinous, incense-laden woodiness that stays with you all day. The performance is outstanding: longevity, sillage, projection – all phenomenal. A few sprays in the early morning on skin and clothes surround you with a persistent, elegant scent cloud that lasts until evening. People around you will definitely notice it. What’s even more impressive is how enjoyable it is to smell throughout the day – and your nose never gets fatigued. Despite being strong and noticeable, it’s incredibly refined. It’s always present, but never cloying or overwhelming. A perfect balance: assertive but not aggressive, rich but not heavy. On clothes and paper testers, it lingers for weeks. I sprayed it on a test strip and kept it in my bag – it made the entire bag smell amazing for a long time. I had the same experience with Guidance as well. It’s absolutely worth the price and could slow down your fragrance-hunting journey. Purpose 50 feels more suitable for cooler and colder weather. You can wear it during the day or in the evening, but I believe it pairs best with elegant or smart outfits. At the very least, it calls for casual chic – I wouldn’t wear it with sporty or overly relaxed clothing. For special occasions or dates, I think it might not be “bright” enough. Tozlu kuru bir reçinemsi tütsümsü odunsu kokuyu gün boyu kokluyorsunuz. Kokunun kalıcılığı, hissedilirliği, belirginliği, yayılımı harika, muhteşem. Sabah erken saatlerde teninize ve kıyafetlerinize sıktığınız birkaç fıs akşama kadar belirgin ve daima hissedilir şekilde sizi çevreliyor, koku bulutunuz oluyor. After sampling and ordering decants of Purpose 50 for so many times for almost 8-9 months due to not have the money to buy it yet, i finally pulled the trigger! Let me try my best to keep the review compact and impactful! Smell 10/10 For me this was love at first sight the first time i put my nose on it at a skins boutique in the Netherlands. It has this sweet, soapy and spicy vibe to it and the drydown is too die for, especially the akigalawood + vanilla combo. I know that fragrance is subjective, so i would advice you to get a sample or decant to test it. Longevity & sillage10/10 You don't have to worry when it comes to longevity and sillage, trust me on that one! For that price point it better perform and Quentin Bisch has a good reputation when it comes to making fragrances last. I went to a wedding wearing my suit and sprayed this at 11:30 leaving home. I came back home 13/14 hours later and could still smell it, gotten me many compliments. Someone asked me if i just sprayed a perfume when i want to the bathroom, lol. This thing won't come off your skin and clothing. Becareful with the sprays, max 3-4 will do the work. Anything more than that is just a death sentence for those around you. Packaging and bottle 9/10 Solid package and premium feel. Bottle feels good in the hand and the details on it is fantastic. Price 5/10 This is is the only downside of Amouage fragrances in general. It is expensive here in the Netherlands, costing €510. If it was around €300 max, this would have been more acceptable imo - still a heavy pricetag tho. Who is this fragrance for? (3 important reasons) 1. Someone who wants to standout and smell unique. There is no other fragrance that smells like this imo. I have tried the supposed "dupe" of P50, which was Assaf Tobocca Jam 50. It doesn't come close in my respectful opinion. 2. A gentleman who dresses up. This scent profile really suits formal/special occasions where you want to standout like a wedding, funeral, church, dinner. 3. A person that cares about versatility! I know it sounds strange to mention Purpose 50 as a versatile fragrance, but the scent profile makes it suitable for every season imo. Yes i's powerful! Yes it's got the perfomance & sillage! But the drydown makes it so nice, allowing it to fit every season. If you have any questions regarding this fragrance, don't hesistate to ask. Thank you! 😄

I just finally purchased purpose 50. And, now that I have, I believe it’s time to give this perfume a proper review. I’m not going to compare this to purpose OG (although I enjoy the OG more). Purpose 50: Out of every perfume that has been hyped in recent years, Purpose 50 has received the most false reviews. Purpose 50 is NOT mass appealing. It’s NOT easy to wear. It’s NOT a “new school” amouage by any means. P50 is a beast of a perfume. Not only due to its performance, but due to the character of its scent profile. The first and most prominent note in P50 is akigalawood... that “love it or hate it” patchouli-derived note that Quentin Bisch has clearly taken a liking to. In P50, the aligalawood stays true to its character but with a twist. At its most “pure” form, akigalwood is an extremely dry, woody, and spicy (peppery) note. I’ve seen it described as the scent of an ancient treasure chest. BUT, the uniqueness about akigalawood lies in its ability to transform based on what other notes support it. In some cases (Ganymede), instead of smelling ancient, the akigalawood can smell futuristic. In P50, it falls somewhere in between, but leans on the side of being ancient and very spicy. Then, there is olibanum and papyrus. These add another sense of depth and complexity. Finally, there is sandalwood and vanilla. These smooth the composition which makes it more tame and more digestible for the wearer. If someone who is reading this hasn’t smelled the perfume yet and doesn’t know notes well, I will briefly explain it the best I can. Explaining P50 to someone who hasn’t smelled it: it’s a cold and rainy day in Scotland, and you’ve somehow ended up underground digging up artifacts. You find old parchment paper in the soil, and you carefully unfold it. As you open it, you are hit with lots of spices. They are crushed together, nondescript, and savory. There is something else you pick up too... the scent of the parchment paper. It’s waxy, smooth, almost creamy. You want to take a bite of this. In a way, purpose 50 smells like a lamb dish sprinkled with seasonings and topped off with a mild and creamy white sauce. That’s purpose 50. It’s weird. It’s not mass appealing. It’s a modern-day masterpiece. The dark green color of the bottle is a perfect representation of how the perfume smells. Dark, green, and unforgiving. Thank you, Amouage.

This is pure art. Absolute brilliance. After seeing so many people call this a masterpiece, I had to see what the hype was about. Normally, I’m not a fan of incense-heavy or church-like scents — they just don’t fit my personality. I’ve also never enjoyed oud, overly powdery, or aggressively woody fragrances that lack balance. But... this one. I’ve always avoided Amouage for those very reasons. Every time I sampled them years ago, they came across as too bold, too harsh. Since then, I’ve realized two things: 1) Like wine, the more you experience fragrances, the more your nose learns to appreciate quality and nuance. 2) I never really gave Amouage a proper chance beyond the first few sprays. Now, I’ll admit, I have no idea how to fully describe Amouage Purpose 50. What I can say is that it’s breathtakingly sophisticated. The opening hits with the trademark Amouage power: bold, woody, spicy, and incense-laden. It’s intense, almost overwhelming at first. But as it develops, it transforms, taking you on a layered, evolving journey. I’ve never ventured far into this side of the niche world, mostly because I thought I hated it. But this changed everything. Wearing it on skin versus testing it on paper is a completely different experience. On paper, it feels a bit coarse, still intriguing, but not irresistible. On skin, though? My goodness. The last time a fragrance gave me this kind of confidence was Aventus, back in 2010, when it first shook the fragrance world. Purpose 50 hits me with that same kind of magic. It just commands presence. The scent trail around you is pure perfection: woody, spicy, dense, and yet somehow balanced by this crisp, almost aquatic freshness that ties everything together effortlessly. It’s undeniably masculine. This is what a man wears. And here’s the kicker...my wife, who doesn’t share my passion for fragrances and usually couldn’t care less, is absolutely obsessed with this one. She actually told me I need to order a full bottle. (And yes, she hates Aventus 😭) Be warned, though: this stuff is nuclear-level strong. My wife said she could still smell it two hours after I’d left the house, and the room where I sprayed it held the scent for a full day. This is a super fragrance in every possible way. And yes, I bought the full bottle immediately after the first wear.

Haven’t smelled the 50 version yet but I can tell you the Amouage purpose bottle is incredible. I have never smelled something so good in my 20 year journey that is beast mode as purpose. I would rate this above interlude 53 also because it smells better. This fragrance is so well blended with the spices perfectly. You wonder why there is so much hype with outlands which can be found everywhere but purpose 50 this one is sold out at practically all discounters. Everybody is trying to get this one. It truly is the best that Smouage has to offer right now, if you can’t find the extra straight version get the original they are both fantastic. I just got my nose on reflection 45. What a joke that one is a lot of people you will see hype that one up. It’s not that good smells exactly like something. I had my nose on before. Don’t waste your money with that one get purpose even just get a sample it is so good. It burst out of the vile or Min sprayer two ML that you got get one that is glass. that is my recommendation a good sample get the original marsh if you can to ML this one is special highly recommend purpose. I am a connoisseur of fragrances. I absolutely love them and I am constantly in the search for the perfect fragrance. If it is out there, this might be it still looking into blue sapphire that one seems to be a potential holy Grail. Amouage has so many great fragrances my current favorite house almost everything they make is beast mode, strong, and complex, which is what you want in a masterpiece scent. Have been on a quest to replace my nearly used up bottle of Puredistance M (OG), and I think I’ve finally found it in the Purpose 50. If Puredistance M was concocted to feel somewhat more at home in Hubert de Givenchy’s grand salon or Lapérouse’s richly appointed dining rooms, then I can see Purpose 50’s character a better matched to grande abode somewhere in Morocco designed by Axel Vervoordt at the peak of his powers. Whereas Puredistance M is more bling and decadent, Purpose 50 is more considered, more sophisticated, and yet no less potent. I didn’t expect to love this fragrance as much as I do as I’ve never truly liked vetiver or bergamot in any perfume regardless of cost, nor am I a huge fan of woody fragrances.. for eg, I find Bois Impérial by Essential Perfums a little too boisée, a little too flat... No such thing w the Purpose 50 - the blending is exquisite and near perfection. It has a sense of layering, dimensionality, and sensuality missing from nearly anything else I’ve tested in men’s offerings. I would put it on the same level as the Puredistance M... easily. The scent may or may not be for you but there’s no denying the sheer quality of the Purpose 50. I would not say this is a blind buy... but one spray on the wrist, and hours later after how it developed on my skin, I simply had to trek back to the shop to buy a bottle instead of my usual waiting for days or weeks of consideration. PS. I’ve read comments noting how the Purpose 50 is a crowd pleaser, or that it takes a mature nose to fully appreciate it but that’s not what I found irl. The Purpose 50 is unequivocally the most positively commented on fragrance I’ve worn, more so than the Puredistance M or Black which I think are a little easier to appreciate in general. PSS. It’s also true what others have said on the staying power of this fragrance.. A couple of sprays will deliciously linger in the room for hours on end, longer than anything I’ve ever used.

I just got my full bottle three days ago, but I've already worn it everyday. P50 is a surprisingly well rounded beast mode fragrance that smells somewhat bright, woody, spicy, and earthy/green with a strong, constant frankincense undertone that elevates the warmth and spiciness of this profile. Now that I've had my nose on this non-stop for days, this is 100% signature Quentin Bisch...the opening has a *slight* similarity to Bois Imperial, in that they're both bright and woody, but P50 has that Omani frankincense backbone that makes it infinitely more special and opulent. The in-air smell of this is so refined, masculine, and well, expensive. What's most fascinating about this fragrance is that while it is heavy and dense, it's not overwhelmingly so, even though it has a 50% oil content. I've felt perfectly comfortable wearing this during the day, at work, and while out and about...I'd even consider wearing it on cooler summer days and nights. Just do not overspray this one, and you’ll be fine. I can best classify P50 as the most luxurious daily driver money can buy. Finally, a new mature and uncommon scent that can be worn day-to-day. Yes, this stuff is very pricy, but ultimately P50 does not smell like a special occasion fragrance - it smells like the daily driver of a successful, confident man. Also, yes, this stuff lasts forever on skin and clothes. It's been 15 hours since I sprayed it this morning, and I can still smell it on me. It's also absolutely room filling, so I suggest 3 sprays (or less) for indoor settings. 9.7/10

Amouage Purpose 50: A Revelation in a Bottle I wasn’t ready for this. Not at all... I’m sitting here with Purpose 50 on my skin, and honestly, I’m shaken. Rose, vetiver, sandalwood — you think you’ve smelled these before, but not like this. They melt into the skin, they become you. And then that base — saffron, suede, akigalawood, vanilla. My God. It’s fire and silk. Earth and heaven. This isn’t a flanker. It’s a statement!! If you didn’t love the original, this may still not be your cup of tea. But something tells me even the skeptics will pause, close their eyes, and say: “Wait...what is that?” Because it’s rich, daring, sensual and so beautifully constructed that it feels alive! Purpose 50 feels like the fragrance Quentin Bisch was meant to make. A true auteur moment. It doesn’t chase compliments. It commands reverence. I sprayed a single shot in my room and four days later, it was still dancing in the air like a memory you never want to forget. To call this a masterpiece isn’t enough. This is art. This is legacy. I’ve smelled thousands of perfumes in my life, but this? This goes straight into my top 10! Bravo, Amouage. Bravo, Quentin. 10/10.

However, the real show begins once it settles on the skin. The woody harshness of papyrus, sand vetiver, and sandalwood forms a phenomenally solid foundation with the Akigalawood and suede in the base. What impressed me the most is how the vanilla tames this aggressive, angular, and spicy structure, adding a luxurious, creamy, and addictive balance. It’s a much more mature, smooth, and dark masterpiece, stripped of the original’s sharp edges.Its longevity and sillage are undeniably nuclear; it’s a true signature scent that demands respect and makes your presence known the second you walk into a room. Quentin Bisch has set the bar astronomically high. An absolute must-try masterpiece for those who reject mediocrity and want to leave a lasting mark."

I actually blind bought this without even testing this nor the OG Purpose (don't be like me). But based off the notes, I got a feeling I'll like it. And thankfully I did. First spray, I was taken aback. I had a moment of regret buying a BNIB retail. That only lasted like a few seconds. It was spicy, incensy and that threw me off. However, the more i smell it, the more I'm liking it. It's ethereal, airy, tinge of familiarity, nostalgic almost. The main notes I'm getting are incense, vanilla, woody, spicy and sweet. The frankincense is so unique! Never have I smell frankincense done in this way. Longevity? BISCH-MODE (see what I did there). It projects hard off of me for first 2 hours, then slowly gets closer to the skin. I sprayed it on at 11.30pm for my night shift, went home the next day and hung my shirt in the room. My wife comes home around 4pm (17 hours later) and she said she can smell this in the entire house! At this point I'm probably nose blind. Overall, Purpose 50 is an experience, a journey. Firstly, to my nose this smells quite a bit different to OG purpose although they do still have a similar opening. The OG is much spicier and has a sharp black pepper note that is missing in purpose 50, it is also much more of a dry wood/pencil shavings smell. I really enjoy both versions of Purpose to be honest and i cant pick a favourite, it just depends on my mood. I do think that P50 is overall more polished and oppulent though. What I’m getting out of purpose 50, if I had to associate it with other frags I own, is Santal 33 with extra sweetness and frankincense with a bit of a rose note. It also kind makes me think of if I mixed Santal 33 with blue talisman extrait. I know this doesn’t have pear but perhaps the vanilla sweetness mimicks this note. Curious if anyone else gets this or my nose is cooked. Anyway I love the scent and it smells much better in the air, don’t wrist sniff as it can become too sweet and strong. I do understand a bit of that Guidance 46 DNA too. Also, can confirm it’s nuclear as many others have mentioned. I only do 1 spray of this. 9.5/10.

*DISCLAIMER* this is a review for the people actually interested in actually buying it, after real world testing, not for the wannabe perfumers on this app. This fragrance in my nose is sensational... after about 20 minutes. The opening is very potent and sharp, you get blasted with pimento pepper and pink pepper and it’s something that has to sit on the skin for a while before the good part comes. Once it dries into its first stages it becomes a dry, woody and earthy scent. After the first hour it smells almost like peppery soap, it comes off fresh in the air but the closer you get to it, the spicier it gets. Holy performance. Probably the strongest fragrance in my collection right behind Oud Zarian, both project well over 6 feet and last well over 14 hours, projecting for at least 10. Do not blind buy this, it’s not mass appealing in any way but to a matured nose it’s beautiful. To a random stranger walking by, it smells like a bar of soap left in the spice cabinet then thrown into a vibrant forest.

I have to say, I'm a bit confused at the moment. I'm sitting here enjoying purpose 50. And I can't believe how outstanding this is. I did not get this reaction from the original. I did like it and I purchased a full bottle. But that is not this. Holy shit. I don't want you guys to think this is completely different from the original. It's not. If you don't like the original you're not going to like this. But at the same time, the changes he made in the fragrance are so significant and so beautiful that you may end up liking it after all! Wow. I know this isn't the most eloquent review I have written, but I just put it on and it's coming at me for all it's worth. You know when you have the love of your life on top of you and they're just going at it? That's what's happening right now. Lol. You are fully enjoying that goddamn ride! A friend showed me a picture of Amouage Purpose 50 and said it was good so I went to the store to try it. Honestly, it’s the most beautiful fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I sprayed it on my work clothes on Monday, and it’s now Wednesday... I can still smell it radiating off them. I’ve been chain-smoking since Monday, and usually when I smoke, any perfume I wear disappears completely. But not this one it’s still pumping out strong. Even right now, as I type this, I can still smell Purpose 50 lingering through my nose, fading in and out like a beautiful memory. It’s powerful, elegant, and addictive. I also see what people mean when they compare it to Ganymede it’s not the same scent, but it has that same magic. You move your head left or right, catch a whiff, and suddenly it’s like Ooh, what was that? That was beautiful. Quentin Bisch, this is a masterpiece. Purpose 50 is a must-have.

GOES ON AND ON AND ON AND ON! Refuses to fade away. I spent 3 days trying to figure why I could randomly smell Purpose 50 in my room. Was I dreaming? Did I get some special powers where I can "think" of a smell and I could smell it? Turns out I had sprayed it on my arm a few days back and I may have brushed my arm on my travel bag. It was a tiny portion of my travel bag that still had a bit of the scent. Ridiculous! Top 3 to come out of the house of Amouage. Went to Dubai a few weeks back and I can tell you it's a very VERY popular scent amongst the 30+ audience. You'll get a trail of it in malls, clubs and bars. I love this perfume but I hate the fact that so many people like it and own it.

This is a flat out masterpiece from Amouage, by way of Quentin Bisch. It’s not mass pleasing and might even be considered polarizing. To me, it’s one of the top 5 fragrances in my collection. It’s fresh, dense, earthy, a little smoky, and complex. Lasts and performs as you would expect. Very unique and very opulent. Also very alluring. 10/10 one of the best I’ve ever smelled. Edit: People are usually slow to recognize genius. This is rated lower than it smells. The community might eventually catch up. If not, it doesn’t matter. Because either way I’m keeping a back up bottle hidden away. I’ll wear this one until my last breath. It’s that good.

If everlasting had a name, it would be Amouage Purpose 50. Its longevity is unreal. It survives my T-shirts being washed twice, and just two sprays on a blazer completely changed the smell of my wardrobe. Quentin Bisch created a masterpiece. The vetiver–frankincense blend lifts you into a world that feels like woody, spicy temples, and just when the intensity peaks, faint touches of vanilla step in to ground you and bring you back to reality. I’m not someone who usually writes reviews, but I couldn’t stop myself from praising this fragrance. I’ve had people call me after I left just to ask what I was wearing. It is a solid 10.

Masculine mysterious creamy woody gourmand.. Had the chance to smell this, and let me say, this is nuclear strong, I put one spray on a strip and left it in the inner pocket of my jacket, could smell it through it even the next day. The smell, well it's just amazing, very rich smelling resinous scent. The price point is just too high. If there would be a very close clone I would instantly get it, but the only one I smelled that comes close to this is Incense 01 like 50% close, but you can tell the quality difference, Purpose is extremely well blended and smooth. Anyways overall as a scent 10/10. Would i buy it? If it was maybe 200€ maybe.

This is the strongest fragrance I’ve ever tried. I ordered a few samples including Purpose 50, Oud Maracuja, Radical Rose Extrait and Outlands. They’re all nuclear fragrances. I sprayed each on a separate tester strip and let them sit in my home. I left and came back after a few hours and my whole fking house smelled like Purpose 50. It overpowered all the other fragrances to the point I simply could not smell anything else. My entire house smelled like it for almost 2 days. I’m getting a bottle for sure! 1-2 sprays is all you need and that will probably be too strong for some settings!

Purpose 50 by Quentin Bisch for Amouage....where do I begin...or how do I begin? This is a beautiful enigmatic fragrance. An otherworldly, martian scent that my brain can hardly comprehend. A clean and simultaneously daring scent profile. Deeply polarizing from the striking contrast of community reviews. How can something with a relatively simple note breakdown seem to light up my olfactory bulb with immeasurable wattage. In my humble opinion this is a Quentin Bisch masterpiece.

I don’t know what to say... This is the most unrealistically amazing fragrance I’ve ever had/tried. Nothing up to that moment touched me like this. Purpose 50 is really a gem in Amouage’s crown. For me it is dark, mystical scent, where the earth is warming under the sun, mixing the smell of cold mountain air with burning incense and soft leather. This is beast performing fragrance. Everything over 3-4 sprays will leave dead bodies around you. Of course expect 24 hours longevity.

All time fav .... It took me a year to actually buy Purpose 50 cause the price but mostly cause the scent was weird.... I did always get that cleaning bleach smell at first however I’d be obsessed with the dry down the next day and the wifts of it through out the week. I think you gotta let it macerate to get the woody/leather/metallic slightly sweet dry down... it’s like a Sandalwood with hints of olibanum, saffron, and vanilla. Beautiful and the bottle is my fav too

This is a gorgeous Masterpiece. The incense here is so well balanced with the soapness. This is definitely an upgrade from the original. This is a radiant aura, not a fragrance. You've been to the east and came back. Not to tell tales but to be the tale. People will wonder who you are, and about the journey that took you to find and wear this level of fragrance. This is signature scent material for high profile men who have won their battles and get to shine.

This is SO good, but is simply too strong. I won’t leave my bedsheets even when I have worn this for a full day and had a shower before going to bed. If you like this get a decant, you Will never finish a full bottle. The smell is incredible. It is hard to describe it or pinpoint a single note. But sometimes it gives off like a sweaty type of vibe, but in a good way..?? It sound weird, but It is so well blended and so refined and just, perfect imo

Wow! A masterpiece for my nose . Unisex and versatile I believe . I bout it 5 days ago and cannot stop wearing it . Day or night, warm or cold . I am enjoying this so much! Frankincense is 👌🏽in this . I first owned Purpose but fell in love so madly with it I had to purchase Purpose 50 and Decision . All three are like no other scent . I really don’t understand the negative feeling towards this , I will probably own it until the rest of my days !

If ultimate longevity and complex fragrance composition had a baby, it would be Purpose 50. I absolutely love it. You can apply it to your skin, and it easily lasts 24 hours, even if you sweat. After a shower, it's still there for you and your partner to smell & enjoy it. It has a fresh, rain-like scent that falls onto the soil; a fantastic smell that’s hard to describe, as it's so complex. The more you use it, the more you'll fall for it.

Amazing! This is a wearable and refined Purpose. I personally do not enjoy Purpose (OG) very much especially the opening and the first 30mins. Purpose 50 fixes the polarizing opening and remains true throughout. The fragrance profile is very unique and distinctive. I strongly recommend this and personally believe it is office safe (especially in GCC). Slightly masculine and fresh in dry down. Shukran Habibi!

The only review Ill ever leave for a fragrence on this site because it is so special. Purpose 50 is simply my favorite in my high end 60 bottle collection. When testing this you need to put it on your neck or chest and experience the wofts to truly understand how amazing it is. Smelling on a strip or on your wrist up close just isn't the same. I have four back up bottles. Bury me with a bottle.

I was wearing a sample of this to work yesterday and this just lingered in the whole large warehouse area I work in. Multiple people told me I smelled amazing and even today a few coworkers asked me: What were you wearing yesterday? Because the whole warehouse smelled like you and it smelled so good. One of the best reactions I’ve ever gotten on a fragrance. I’m getting a bottle ASAP

@WhoReallyNose? Check your nose bro. You have Arabic clone fragrance brands all over in your favourite perfumes area. Therefore its pretty normal that your smelling sense does not appreciate the quality and classiness of a fragrance. Especially when you say Purpose 50 is the worst smelling fragrance you have smelled so far, i see bad intentions or a terribly rookie nose.

I believe it goes without saying that Amouage consistently lives up to their stellar reputation. This fragrance is no exception. Purpose 50 is a true work of art. Resinous, spicy woods, this fragrance serves as a phenomenal option for layering, especially with other fragrances from the house. In my opinion, this is a must for any true fragrance lover’s collection. 11/10

This is pretty decent. I like how Bisch can whip up something that uses whichever house he is blending for DNA. This has a little taste of the Amouage incense, but its quite different that the rest of the line. Its less smokey and is softened up by the vanilla and sandlewood. I perfer the smoker ones, but this is more of a 3 seasons and works in the spring. 8.25

Purpose 50 is what I call a “creeper.” At first spray, it feels almost imperceptible/unnoticeable, giving the impression that you need to apply more. A few sprays later, you quickly realize how powerful it truly is! The performance is absolutely nuclear. It projects, and leaves an elegant scent trail, and continues to linger in the room long after applying it.

I don’t understand why it’s not rated even higher—around 4.8, and honestly I don’t think anyone could dislike it. This is the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled and, to me, the ultimate masterpiece of Quentin Bisch. Massive projection, insane sillage, ~20 hours longevity, and constant compliments—and layering it with the original version? Absolute bomb.

Okay hear me out. This is Guidance 46 with Frankincense. Opens with HEAVY Frankincense smell and light Guidance motive and in 5-6 hours turn into Guidance 46 without the Frankincense. Lasts DAYS on skin. I sprayed that 2 says ago on my wrist, had 3 showers and I can still smell it. Sillage and Longevity on this are INSANE. It is unreal. Typical Bisch.

One of my favorites from the house. Unfortunately there is a slight body odor scent I get from the skin test, so I would assume there is a unlisted cumin or something like that. But it’s very minor so it doesn’t matter much to me. Just need to point it out just in case someone might be put off by it. To me, the spices just sort of white washed it up.

people don't seem to realise that sometimes, other parts of the world got a specific taste. in Oman, PURPOSE was our holy grail because of our deep and ancient connection with frankincense. I would assume half of the population of Oman at least tried it and it is very popular it sells like hot cakes. this one is for us world, you'll get the next one.

This is an absolute BEAST by Amouage. I sprayed three sprays in my room to test it out and my room smelled like Purpose 50 for four days straight. . .and it was strong all four days. One of the most beastly scents I've ever experienced. This is unmistakably a creation of the great Quentin Bisch. One of his best in my opinion. Bravo.

This is the best sandalwood scent ive EVER smelled!!! Spicy opening but that dry down is INSANE DUDE!!!! Smells like a breath of fresh air in the woods. Its addictive and I smell the cap once a day No Elmer's glue smell, no pickle juice none of that like other sandalwood scents. This is a masterpiece and has insane performance

Now for some reason I don’t find it as strong when I first tried it but it’s still potent. If before was an 11 now the strength is 10. Ordered my bottle to the store so waiting patiently. Calming and relaxing on a winter day or night at home. Frankincense dominates top, progresses to a well defined and pleasant sandalwood and vetiver, ending in a leather - but I am simplifying the experience. Not as strong as I expected but performance is top notch. A beautiful scent for sure. I am off to the sauna now.

Absolutely amazing Quentin Bisch did amazing job, The aromatic gradient is wonderful, the engineering of the aromatic notes is very beautiful, a very serious perfume, I suggest not to wear it in the summer or at least the day of the summer days, and it may be bit over priced for some.
