#113 of My Fragrance Journey - Amouage Reflection Man: The white-out moment. Airports are dangerous places for fragrance decisions. I remember standing in the duty-free, eyes on the chrome lines of Reflection Man with cautious respect. Amouage usually feels like a heavy bass drop - massive, architectural, unapologetically loud. Beautiful, but demanding. Some of their fragrances feel like buildings you have to enter on their terms. And before a three-hour flight, trapped in recycled air beside strangers, that felt like a genuine risk. The last thing I wanted was to become that person at 30,000 feet. But I wasn't looking for a riot that day. I wanted something else - a white-out moment, crystalline and clear. So I sprayed it more out of curiosity than expectation. Almost immediately, I understood. Not because it was loud. The opposite. Petitgrain arrives sharp and bitter-citrus, cold steel against warm skin. Rosemary and pink pepper follow with the precision of a flexed muscle - powerful, grounded, nothing wasted. This isn't a generic blue freshie. It's high-definition clarity. The scent of someone straightening their spine and owning the space without announcing it. Impossibly smooth. The kind of fragrance that straightens its cuffs before it speaks. As the flight levelled out, it started to breathe. Neroli and jasmine came through - not pretty flowers, structural ones. Luminous, masculine, undeniably present. Orris threading through like a slow-motion strobe, adding something creamy and metallic underneath. I kept catching soft waves rising off my skin throughout the flight, neroli glowing quietly beneath the freshness, jasmine adding depth without ever tipping powdery or sweet. It's floral, unmistakably - but the florals aren't decorative. They're load-bearing. Clean white petals against polished wood, softness with an actual backbone. By the time we landed, I couldn't stop checking my wrist. Later, in a taxi, the driver glanced over and said - casually, unprompted - "You smell fantastic, what is that?" That moment. That's the fragrance exactly. Confident and quiet. Drawing people in without announcing itself. The way genuinely elegant things tend to work. The drydown settles like heat absorbed into floorboards. Sandalwood and cedar, creamy and grounded. Vetiver and patchouli adding just enough earthiness to keep the whole thing from floating away. Smooth and beautifully blended start to finish - almost transparent in places, but never thin. I get the criticism. At this price point, some expect more projection, more spectacle. And if you want an aggressively masculine powerhouse, this'll feel too restrained - more whisper than roar. On certain skin, there's occasionally something slightly composed underneath the florals that might read as vintage rather than timeless, depending on your tolerance for that. But the restraint is the point. Reflection Man understands something a lot of luxury masculine fragrances miss - confidence doesn't require density. It's not trying to dominate a room. It already knows who it is. Sophisticated without stiffness. Fresh without sterility. Floral without apology. Masculine without force. The scent of someone completely comfortable in themselves, moving through the world with nothing to prove. Some fragrances impress immediately. This one just becomes part of the person wearing it. Vibe: Cold steel, white petals, polished wood. Clarity at altitude. Performance: Moderate projection, intimate trail - closer to skin than beast mode, but present all day. Fit: You wear this when you already know who you are, and you don't need the fragrance to explain it for you. I first discovered Reflection Man in summer 2023 while travelling. I’d already started diving into the fragrance world and testing samples, but this was different. The moment I sprayed it, I realised I could fall in love with a scent. I didn’t know that was possible until Reflection Man. The opening is my addiction. My nose chases that neroli blast every time. I’ve owned two bottles so far. The first one was divine. Premium. Clean. Floral but confident. I finished it in less than 11 months. That bottle now defines memories for me. I wore it in Saint-Tropez, Saudi Arabia and Dubai. Strange thing is, even though people call this a Middle Eastern gentleman’s scent, it always reminds me of Saint-Tropez. Maybe because that weekend was just perfect. Compliments? It needs 6 to 8 sprays to get noticed. I never had a compliment from a woman, but plenty from men. That never bothered me because I don’t wear fragrance for attention. I wear it because I want to love the way I smell. And Reflection Man makes me feel like myself, just sharper and elevated. When I bought the second bottle, it didn’t smell exactly the same at first. More woody. Less neroli. Around 40 percent less impact than my first bottle. But after around six months it matured and came much closer to the original character. It taught me that this scent needs time to settle. That makes me now want to hunt down a 2016 bottle or earlier. I’ve got one sitting in my eBay cart right now. That’s my grail, the GOAT I need to smell. Over the last two years I’ve sampled more than 75 fragrances and bought full bottles of only three that I consider worthy. Everything I test, I compare to Reflection Man. Nothing has beaten it. For me, it’s the white t-shirt of fragrances. I spray it on clothes, on skin, morning or evening, office or date night, family meal or black tie. It fits every scenario without trying. I’m 40. I want sophistication. I don’t want to smell like everyone else, but I don’t want loud niche for the sake of it. Reflection Man hits that perfect middle. Elegant. Clean. Floral. Gentle. Masculine. Versatile. I feel local in the Middle East wearing it. I feel at home in Europe wearing it. It just works everywhere. To me, it’s a masterpiece. My signature for life. The opening owns my senses. The drydown feels like comfort. And every new fragrance I try, I measure against this one.

I don't know what I was smoking when I first tried this and didn't really care for it. I guess I wasn't really in the mood for something new at the time? A note my nose hadn't yet adjusted to? Thankfully I gave it another go a week or two later, and I've been spraying my decant pretty regularly since—because wow, this is gorgeous. It seems like this is the fragrance to educate me on how great white florals can be. It's so elegant and fresh. Ethereal, really. It brings to mind a mix between the color white, and the way light looks when shining through a glass object. It feels emotionally composed in a naturalistic way. Sort of like how rocks or trees in nature feel very effortless in how they become the landscape. Neither them or this fragrance are trying to be pretty, they just... are. What makes it even better is how the projection is dialed perfectly. I can only speak for my decant, but I get very noticeable wafts all throughout the day, and it's always perfectly strong enough to be present without being loud. It's really a great example of each factor of a fragrance working in tandem to elevate themselves into something greater than the sum of its parts. There are many frags that might bring to mind the same adjectives, but none put the recipe together quite like this one. It's definitely unisex though. I don't understand why marketing teams work so hard to convince people that certain types of flowers are girly, while others "totally" have dicks... and then people actually go along with it? I know that's another topic altogether, but I guess this being marketed exclusively towards men so arbitrarily really makes the whole thing stand out even more for me here. Do they think guys would be scared of wearing a unisex floral? Why are some florals considered feminine at all, if this counts as masculine? Because there's no real difference. People are so weird about being "allowed" to wear something instead of just smelling nice. Don't believe me? Just look at the reviews that feel the need to point out that this is a MASCULINE floral before they say how much they like it.

Comparison of Reflection Man and Reflection 45 Man This can be pretty straightforward. Both Reflection Mans are masculine, luminous white florals but 45 dims the lights to low. They both open nearly the same way with a smooth, only slightly sweet berry type note and some herbs and pepper. However, out of nowhere, 45 throws this dark brown and oily woody note into the air, albeit briefly, that smells a bit saffron-like but the brand says benzoin. Ok, fine - not sure about that but I’ll buy it. The lights get immediately dimmed in 45. They both go to a stunningly beautiful and rich heart of indolic jasmine, metallic neroli, and dense orris. These flowers and orris are heavy, soaked in oils and pollen nectars and butter in the case of the orris. Keeping to the theme, 45 throws a green and earthy tonka bean note in to keep the lights low, like the flowers are below a layer of fresh compost in the dark. In RM the flowers are allowed to have some light cast on them; their pretty white colors allowed to reflect in the sun a bit while they droop with their nectar and oils. They both go to a woody and patchouli base that is rich, earthy, a bit peppery and also creamy, but, curiously, 45 seems to bring the lights up just a smidge by allowing some lightly-woody vetiver and incense into the mix, giving a bit of lift as if its concerned the surroundings are a bit too dark. Perhaps it should. RM will last at least 12 hours and you’ll still smell 45 (faintly) the next day, so maybe we can’t stay in the dark too long. Both are unerringly gorgeous. Rich, supple, beautifully crafted, with every stage revealing something new but logically and aesthetically fitting, and keeping you wanting to go-in for one more big sniff. Choose the regular RM if you’re wanting something lighter (or filled with more light) and a bit simpler - or as far as both of those can get with Amouage. Choose 45 when dark, rich, stateliness is more your mood. Or choose both. I did. You can’t go wrong with either.

I'm putting this as a "Love" because I think the opening and the first few hours is incredible. It's fresh and clean, it's fairly sweet, and has a beautiful cinnamon note. The fresh linen/ironed white shirt vibe is there for sure. And yes it does have a little bit of an oriental or middle eastern flair to it of course. This part could be a bit polarizing. My problem with this fragrance is the the late dry down. After several hours, frankly it became a little annoying probably because of the sweetness combined with the powdery floral. You can see some reviews of people saying it gave them a headache and things like that. And although I didn't get a headache, I can see how this would have that affect on someone after serval hours. This is a strong and sweet fragrance. It doesn't seem like it at first, but it is. And it has patchouli which I've sometimes found lingers in the dry down of fragrances in a not so good way. The other thing is in a weird way, this fragrance is a bit dated. As brilliant as this is, it has been around. It's something that other people may recognize in some way, possibly from some memories many years ago. Does this mean I think this is a bad fragrance? No absolutely not. I still stand by saying this is incredible. But I would implement certain rules to make it wearable. First of all, I absolutely think this fragrance has to be dressed up. I just can't see this with a t shirt. This is a fragrance you should wear with a dress shirt. Or at least a polo/business casual. It's simply too nice. Too elegant. Too beautiful. And I think the sprays should be like 3 max unless you're willing to deal with the dry down later. Guys, I'm just being honest. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. We can acknowledge that a fragrance is outstanding and beautiful but that it also has a few downsides. This is approaching the realm of being a masterpiece.

This was one of the first “niche” perfumes I bought some 20 odd years ago when niche wasn’t really part of our vernacular. I remember even back then remarking how much it reminded me of Le Male, but without all the goopy vanilla sweetness that made the latter a little too sickly for me to enjoy. Often I have to remind myself to wear this old girl. It gets pushed to the back of the wardrobe as I reach for shiny new toys, most of which frankly aren’t as good. Let’s be honest, this kind of thing has probably fallen out of favor with modern perfumery now full of woody amber drivel, or akigalwood laden nonsense designed for teenage boys with broccoli haircuts. A white floral bomb that, albeit a little linear, just goes on forever in the cleanest, spiciest and overtly masculine way. Jasmine that walks the edges of being indolic, coupled with a neroli that pulls everything together and keeps things sensible. I guess you could say that the base is a little more woody, and lets the patchouli weave in and out through the light - which surprisingly, for such a big perfume, it does feel like there’s been some light intentionally left for these more subtle aspects to fill. I’m told it’s been reformulated over the years and is no longer the powerhouse it once was. I can’t comment on that but am happy to still have an older bottle in my collection. It’s almost full, even after all these years and many, many wears. If you were to own only one or two “barbershop” perfumes in your collection... arguably this should be one of them.

Reflection Man is not a fragrance. It is what success would smell like if it walked among ordinary men. The moment it touches skin, the room changes. Conversations soften. Heads turn. Time itself seems to slow down for a second just to acknowledge its presence. The white florals do not bloom—they ascend. Neroli, jasmine, and iris rise like a king stepping onto a marble balcony above a city built in his name. This is not the scent of a man trying to impress people. It is the scent of a man who no longer needs to. Immaculate. Effortless. Untouchable. The sandalwood in the dry down feels like tailored silk draped over steel. Every note is polished to perfection, every accord carrying the quiet confidence of old money and absolute certainty. Reflection Man does not ask for attention. It receives it. Other fragrances enter a room. Reflection Man owns it. People won't remember what you said. They won't remember what you wore. But hours later, they will remember that someone extraordinary passed by, leaving behind a trail of elegance so unreal it felt almost mythical. This is not a perfume. This is a white suit in a black world. A crown without jewels. A masterpiece disguised as a fragrance. Reflection Man is what legends wear when they decide to remain humble.

Reflection man is a beautiful classy clean scent, inoffensive and easy to wear in most scenarios and very comforting. Initially, I get a smooth wave of rosemary and pink pepper and a hint of neroli, however as time passes, top notes fade away leaving behind a powdery jasmine note, a fresh ylang and a creamy orris root scent. Lastly, you get a well blended base dominated by the sandalwood , although not overpowering, with the cedar and vetiver appearing in tandem as a supporting duo and soft whiffs of patchouli to complete the composition. It reminds me of the evenings I spent playing football in the park after primary school, right next to the garden full of rosemary and tulips. At half time we would rest under the shade of pine and cedar trees to catch our breath and drink some water. It is a scent that not only smells divine, but brings back memories of my childhood that I cherished so much. For me this is the pinnacle of fresh daily clean scents, a true 10/10. It has good longevity on my skin lasting the whole day and decent projection for the first few hours. If you like loud perfumes or compliments, be prepared to overspray, however for me 5 sprays are perfect. Will be repurchasing once my bottle runs out

Soft, clean, somewhat fresh, floral, and beautiful all-around. This and Reflection 45 (for the colder months) are my signature scents. You cannot go wrong with this. It is indeed a bit expensive, but imo, Reflection Man is worth the price of admission. It was 100% created to be a mans signature scent, not as a "special occasion" pick. There's nothing offensive about this. You'd have to REALLY be reaching to think ANYTHING within this sticking out as "yuck" or "too much". It's not particularly sweet, not too bright, and not too "dark" - it's perfect. I also have Gucci Guilty Elixir, which is basically a sweeter, less floral smelling clone of this, and while GGE is very nice, it's not Reflection Man. Just because I say "floral", doesn't make this feminine by any stretch of the imagination. Not to me at least. I wear this to the office, to big business meetings, and even to the gym. I wear it everyday. This is THE scent to pick if you have no idea what to wear. Similar to others like LV Imagination, Reflection Man is a dumb reach fragrance. I'm about to pick up 2 extra bottles of this just because. I fear for any reformulations that may destroy this absolute masterpiece.

Nose Note #875 I have a dupe of it - Milestone Mouj Affection and I never liked it much so I was reluctant to buy a sample of Reflection. But I finally did and from the first spray I can say this - altough the $9 dupe is actually pretty close, 80-85% and conveys the core idea of the scent well, Reflection is just so so much better. It's much stronger and it makes all the difference. The scent is richer, spicier and has a very subtle coca-cola vibe. It's one of those scents that could be your only fragrance. Mouj Affection felt too neroli like 4711, Reflection isn't just that. Say we draw a line where on one end is 4711 and on the opposite end is YSL MYSLF. Reflection is in the middle. Bond #9 Lafayette Street is also very similar, but more shower gely. This is just very nice. Nothing edgy, almost a crowd-pleaser, but not modern. It smells like 2006. Lucas Sieuzac hasn't created many ground-breaking fragrances, and you could argue that Reflection is also nothing ground-breaking, but it is a titan in perfumery. Although Sieuzac isn't considered a master perfumer the thing smells like something legendary. 8.5/10, you can just feel it was created by a master of his craft

Reflection is probably the biggest outlier in Amouage's catalog of powerhouse Middle Eastern fragrances, and interestingly, it's also their safest and most "boring". With that said, this is one of my favorite professional fragrances of all time. It works so well for the office when you're not wanting to smell like a common designer, but also don't want to smell "interesting" like a niche fragrance. This is inoffensive, unique, and it smells so good. It's super smooth, powdery, and sweet-floral, meaning, no - this does not smell like a bouquet of roses or daisies. The floral notes add a sweet, almost dew-like aroma that pairs perfectly with the buttery orris and smooth woody base. I do like this much more than Reflection 45 because it's simply more subtle and better for the office. 45 is designed for broader use, but honestly, I wouldn't wear this profile casually...this is a work scent. Reflection smells expensive, clean, and gentlemanly. Get this if you're career oriented, work in a traditional corporate setting, and want to reinforce that you're well put together, clean cut, and trustworthy. 9.3/10

I honestly don’t understand the people who complain about this perfume’s longevity. Like most of the critical reviewers, I have one of the newer batches, and I’ve already used up half of the bottle. I bought it a year ago — maybe the aging has helped a bit — but the performance is excellent. I think perfumes should be evaluated within their proper context, and even used accordingly. For example, you can’t treat this one like an Oud fragrance — neither in usage nor in expectations of performance. With this perfume, 3–4 sprays won’t do the job; you’ll need around 8–10 sprays. Still, you shouldn’t expect it to fill a room — it’s more of a scent that people within arm’s length will notice. On Friday, I applied it at 7 a.m. before going to the office. When I got home in the evening, I hung up my T-shirt, and now it’s Sunday morning — I put that same T-shirt on again, and I can still smell it clearly. That’s all I have to say. Lastly, for any man who has even a little interest in perfumes, this is an absolute must-have in his collection. I fall in love with its scent every single time.

This is an awesome scent. I think I smelled a vintage bottle though. A friend of mine brought in his bottle and it was from a few years ago. This is a phenomenal scent. To me it basically smells like a literal luxurious bar of soap. If that sounds like a bad thing to you, I assure you that women love clean and fresh scents like this. This would be considered a "mature" scent. But if you are cool with powdery, fresh, soapy scents then I'd say you should like this. Get a decant first though seeing it is EXPENSIVE. When I sprayed this on me I immediately thought it smelled similar to Prada L'homme (which i own and love). Which I've seen other reviews say the same. Then as it developed on me it started smelling like Prada L'homme and JPG Le Male EDT had a baby. Like a 80% Prada 20% Le Male baby. It smells powdery and soapy like Prada L'homme. But it has this cooling minty note (i assume from the rosemary) and a light sweetness that gives Le Male. All in all this is a masterpiece of a fragrance!!! If you like the soapy smell of Prada L'homme you will absolutely love this!!!

An absolute classic for a reason. I got a sample of Reflection years ago along with a number of other Amouage fragrances. I liked it, but it didn't stand out. (Beach Hut Man did, so I picked up a bottle of that, which is still one of my favorites from any house.) Over the years I almost bought a bottle of Reflection many times, but never pulled the trigger...and the best prices on it at discounters slowly crept upward. Then last year, I finally bit the bullet and bought a bottle. Once again, I initially liked it rather than loved it...which left me thinking maybe it wasn't worth that full bottle. But over the last eight months or so, I've grown to love Reflection. It's versatile and easy to wear. It performs well (despite grumbling one hears about recent versions of it). And it just smells great. Reflection is still far from my favorite Amouage. But it's the one Amouage I have that's become a dumb reach fragrance for me (but with the quality one expects from an Amouage). Don't think I'll ever be without it again.

Frankly, ‘Reflection Man’ is one of the smoothest and most beautiful fragrances I have ever smelled. It takes white florals — which can so often lean sharp, feminine, or overly heady — and turns them into something creamy, elegant, airy, and unmistakably refined. The blend of florals, woods, and soft freshness is so seamless that nothing sticks out awkwardly; it just feels perfectly composed from start to finish. On my skin, it comes across as clean, woody, floral, and quietly luxurious, with an almost addictive silky quality that keeps pulling me back for another sniff. To me, this is not just a great Spring fragrance — it’s a masterpiece of haute perfumery, and is easily one of the most effortlessly elegant scents I have ever worn. #32 on my Fragrance Review Journey This was a blind buy success with a twist for me. Immediately upon first spray I smelled Bond No 9 Lafayette Street. DNA is definitely present. I no longer have that fragrance so I couldn't do a side-by-side. I can tell you while there is some similarity they do go in a different direction in the dry down. I find Reflection to be a more discreetly sophisticated offering. it does not project like Lafayette Street, but its presence is known and admired. Performance for me was about 8 hours on skin and on clothes all day. This is a mass appealing scent that will yield compliments. You know that you smell good and others know that you smell good. I will say this is a safe blind buy option only if you don't already have Lafayette Street. If you do, you may want to sample first. You can find this fragrance at discounters for great deals. Shop around. 10/10

I just got a sample of the newest Reflection Man and am comparing it to my bottle of the original formulation (2007, pre magnetic cap). The original's opening is significantly richer, with identifiable rosemary and camphor flanked by a decadent iris note that is diaphanous and magical, what smells like a bit of lavender, and a rich petitgrain. It has a touch of animalic quality (indoles from jasmine?) and a bit of an old school character. In comparison the new Reflection is softer and smoother, with a more upfront bubblegum sweetness. It's nice but not mind-blowing like the opening of the OG. The softness lends a more obvious powdery nature and there's an aldehydic smoothness that makes it smell more overtly soapy or even vaguely bubble bath like. I will update as these continue to dry down but the modern Reflection appears to be a shadow of its former self.

A perfect year round fragrance for a clean, confident gentleman. It’s basically made for office settings and more formal environments. Very classy, very clean, and incredibly well put together. Definitely the kind of scent that gets compliments, especially from women. If you have a polished, classic style and you’re someone who looks clean and well groomed, this perfume really works as the perfect finishing touch. It blends soapy, floral, slightly powdery and woody notes into a very masculine but luxurious composition. There’s also an earthy side in the background that gives the fragrance this slightly wet, humid feeling, similar to the glowing dampness I noticed in Reflection Woman. What surprises me is that I absolutely cannot stand Amouage Reflection Woman, yet I genuinely love Reflection Man. The difference between them is honestly shocking to me.

When I first sampled it I didn't think much about it, but the next day I could still smell the neroli, jasmine and cedar notes on my sleeves. At that point I was so captivated by the mixing of those notes that i had to give it a second try. Initially the strong scent of rosemary and pink pepper remind me of food, but once those notes step into the background the magic begins. The floral notes take over and the combinations of white florals and orris root elevate any outfit into a put-together. These notes are extended by the woody base and in cool weather (50-65 f) can last for hours, longevity is diminished in high heat, but all notes still come across. Longevity in cool weather can last 12 hrs, but in high heat (it was 85 degrees when I tested it) it "only" last about 6 hours. One of the best white floral scents I have tried, and heavily recommend.

I got a 10 ml decant today. Initial smell of it did not smell like Le Male. So far I like it. I will be giving it a full wear out tonight and decide if it's a full bottle worthy. Update: I just ordered a bottle. I really like it. Not sure how to even describe it. Just smells amazing. Like Jeremy Fragrance said, I could see Christian Grey rocking this. Clean, fresh, floral and sophisticated. My wife actually is not too thrilled about it. She prefers a more masculine scent on me. But like a lot of fragrances that she didn’t like at first, hopefully it will grow on her. The worst feeling is when you really like a fragrance and your significant other doesn’t like it. Haha Update: My wife approves now. Lol. I wear stuff days later and she’ll be like oh what’s that? I like that. Me: it’s the one you said smelled too unisex and you didn’t like it. Haha

Opens up with a clean, fresh linen sort of smell that dries down quite quickly into a comfortable and comforting floral scent without being overly feminine. There's some incense and creamy woods in the base. I think this can be worn confidently with anything but it's definitely going to shine more with something a bit dressier or smart-casual. I'd say it's office-safe as there's no harshness whatsoever but it's definitely not your standard male designer freshie. Performance is average for Amouage, which is to say better than most other brands but not the sort of nuclear-level performance you get from something like Interlude 53. About 6 hours before it starts becoming a skin scent. This is also not a projection bomb - it's the type of thing someone would move close to you and get a whiff of it rather than radiating much of a bubble.

Absolutely stunning. This is an all time favorite. Creamy, soft, sophisticated, women love it, men love it and kids love it. What’s not to like? My only niggle is it doesn’t last as long as I would like but that could be how hot it always is in Se Asia and the unavoidable sweating that happens when simply just stepping outside. This is not the most niche frag but I still wouldn’t call it boring. Yes there is a slight powdery facet to its composition but I disagree with those that think it approaches grandma territory. Not even close. More like luxurious smelling freshly laundered clothes done by grandma, sure. I consider this a top 10 all time personal favorite and will always have this in my collection. This is a timeless masterpiece for a reason. I really wish I could have experienced the first formulation of its initial release.

First wear, so, as with all Amouage fragrances you want to dance with it a few times before you judge its character. BUT, the pink pepper opens most prominently for me-- sharp and warm. Like the first ray of sunshine beaming through the blinds in the morning. Bright but comfortingly warm. Then the white florals in the middle are like the freshly laundered bedsheets that inevitably envelope you back to sleep. After the drier sheets from heaven have settled in for a few hours, the creamy and sweet base of sandalwood, cedar, and patchouli carry the ultra clean, yet wildflower-esque heart for hours and hours. As with most Middle Eastern freshies, it's just luxury laundry detergent, but still, every one of them is worth it and will have me smelling my skin and clothes until I wash the scent out.

This scent is meant for the man who's confident in himself and doesn't need something "dark" or "mysterious". It's a beautifully versatile masculine white flower scent that can be worn in or outside the office just about any time of year. I don't know what other commentors are smelling, but it's reminiscent of a wedding bouquet with a little bit of spiciness which adds the "masculinity". Nothing is overpowering or cheap smelling here nor does it give dryer sheet vibes. Maybe you got a bad batch or decant from a discounter because this smells expensive. Longevity is roughly 6 hours on skin and longer on clothes. Don't expect some nuclear sillage. This is a scent that women and even men will compliment you on when theyre a couple feet away. Easily 100ml worthy.

To the reviewer below, Amouage does not make 100% natural perfumes. They never claimed that, and most if not all of their scents list some synthetics right on the packaging (those required by law to be listed when used, such as lilial [aka butylphenly methopropianol] or lyral [3-cyclohexane carboxaldehyde) I love Amouage scents - two of their scents occupy my top ten list - and while they may use more naturals than many brands, they are far from all natural - and thankfully so. All natural scents smell flat, muddy, lack structural complexity, and generally have poor longevity and sillage. I know this first hand as I worked with natural ingredients for many years trying to make an all natural perfume that was of Amouage caliber. It's not possible.

You know I read the reviews on this and someone said it smell like bleach and ever since I can't unsmell it! 😩...Well, I'm hear today to tell you it's the best smelling bleach you'll ever experience. Reflection Man was one of my earlier purchases when I took off the training wheels and graduated into a mature nose. It's a transformational smell, the type that takes you to a different dimension and makes you feel regal. Might be because I'm an iris lover but also because Reflection has so much depth and performs really well. You feel primarily 4 things when you put this on. Fresh, Clean, Bold & grown up! I deleted my previous comment, which i wrote under the impression after a few weeks from the first sprays. Before buying new bottle i have a sample (autumn 2025) and a decant (2022), and I was shocked at how harsh the first sprays from the bottle were (just like the autumn 2025 sample), with an unpleasant base and weak overall performance. So, after a few months of gentle storage and hoping the fragrance would settle and become like that same sample and decant - it actually did. It became significantly more long-lasting and now matches my expectations of that pleasant, refined scent. So once again, I’m happy and reflection man in my heart

Today I went to church with my wife and kids. I was wearing Amouage Reflection Man (for the first time this year, because the weather is like spring, 10 degrees Celsius, and I always considered it more of a spring scent). My wife was wearing Mon Guerlain. After the Sunday mass, the priest’s wife came to us to tell us that when we entered, the whole church was filled with a very beautiful scent. We asked her to smell the perfumes and she said it was definetely the Amouage. I think it was the most beautiful compliment I ever had for a perfume.

Fragrance Journal Entry #64 This stuff is incredible! It smells super expensive so i think the price point is 100% justified! Elegance in a bottle is the best way to describe this scent, very floral forward while remaining masculine. On scent profile alone it has high versatility but for me personally i reserve this for formal occasions, suit and tie type of events, weddings, funerals, work meetings ect. All other interpretations of this dna are pale in comparrison. Best from the house of Amouage by far. Rating: 10/10 Blind Buy Safe? NO

This is one of if not my favorite fresh/clean fragrances. It lasts a very long time and just smells great. One time I was at work talking with my manager, and mid-sentence she stops, and told me that I smell amazing. (This is funny because I used to work in HR and apparently you are not supposed to do that lol). I don't care, her and I were friendly. This was also like 4 hours after applying this. This is one of the most mass appealing fragrances from Amouage. I would diffidently smell this. Worth the price in my opinion.

Utterly heavenly. Nothing else can be said really. This is utter perfection. I have a hefty collection of fragrances but Reflection is one of only a few that I need a constant supply of. If you’re new to the house or Amouage then Reflection is definitely the safest to start with. This is mass appealing and will without doubt get you compliments. ....which is always a bonus given it’s £320.00 RRP. Utter masterpiece and i can’t wait to receive my latest purchase of this divine juice!!

Class in a bottle, one of the most classy fragrances i have smelled, i also find it fairly versatile, could be used for any occasion any time, except maybe the gym. Many dudes find Reflection very feminine, I disagree, to my nose it is a fairly masculine floral scent. Performance is just ok, i get around 6-8 hours with strong projection for most of the duration. Definitely the most mass appealing scent Amouage sells at the moment, also prefer it over the 45 version.

Damn! This one really is that special. Of all the frags I've reviewed, this hits deep. It's that good; exhibit A of clinical precision in the art of fragrances. Just enough warmth while feeling like you're in some corporate hallway. This is the ONLY frag that holds a candle to Prada L'Homme imo. I don't even know what season this is for. A true all-year staple. Genre defining. I think this is the pinnacle of Le Male frags. It defined a DNA of its own. 10/10

I own this and R45. Both are amazing scents. This is more fresh, floral and woody as opposed to vanillic, resinous and powdery in the drydown. The core smell is similar but I would wear them in different situations. This is probably more office and casual whereas 45 is more formal or special occasions. But you could argue that they are both versatile signatures. Not really that necessary to own both but I’m glad I do. This is a 10/10 masterpiece as is 45.

Back in 2006 this was a superb fragrance. Today still smells great but it seems the rosemary oil is different or just too much rosemary in general. Smells much better on skin than on paper. Quality fragrance but overpriced.. Polite, office-safe. Sweet, bubblegummy-powdery very fresh and clean. Not much iris. If the iris was amped up this one could have been much better. If you are into freshies on the floral side, you should at least try this one.

Honestly, I listed this as unisex because I think women could pull it off too. It really just smells like you stepped out of a shower, are squeaky clean and freshly sprayed. Men, this scent would be uplifting to smell on you. It is smoothly blended, fresh and strong enough but not cloying at all. I could see this being a versatile fragrance that could be worn in any season and move from day to night perfectly. I would recommend it!

Absolutely phenomenal fragrance! In my opinion, the opening of Amouage Reflection man is what heaven must be smelling like: Clean, ethereal, calm, enchanting and even magical to some extent. The harmony of florals and herbal nuances continues until the drydown, where a wonderful powdery sweet woody base takes center stage. Honestly this might be my new favorite scent ever. Bought a bottle immediately after I received sample.

9/10 Really high quality clean perfumery. Gives off the same vibes as Gucci Guilty elixir and Le male edt, only the woodsy notes are more pronounced in this than the vanilla of those two other respective scents. Even though this doesn't have the vanilla, I feel like this is slightly more unisex than those other two because of the powdery thing going on. It's so clean and pleasant to smell, incredible chemistry.

I had always thought this perfume was boring, especially when compared to the rest of the Amouage’s, and although that’s still kind of true, I had only been smelling reflection man from the cap. I just bought a 2ml sample and it’s such a gorgeous perfume. I have a sample of the extrait coming but I may actually end up buying one of them after telling myself so may times I didn’t like it that much 😂

Boy oh boy Is this one not cheap... but good God do I love it. This is a beautiful daytime scent that I will wear anywhere. It has such a beautiful floral character with a little woody backbone behind it This is has continued to be my favorite fragrance for a long time. Unfortunately I'm not always going to be able to keep it on my shelf. If I could somehow ration a bottle year then maybe...

The neroli with soft woods gives off a YSL myself parfum vibe but this is WAY better and incredibly well blended. I would hesitate to suggest that over this but if that price point hits a little too hard and you want the clean but cozy and slightly powdery scent then thats the move. Otherwise, get you a bottle of this because my compliments have never been more with any other fragrance!

This is liquid peace and happiness. If you could bottle up the joy you feel when you go on holiday with your friends and have nothing to worry about, it would smell like this. Goes to show just how much taste can change. 3 years ago I rated this as Hate and thought Amouage smelled awful, I also thought Layton smelled like Vicks. So glad my frontal lobe developed haha. :D

This is a clean, elegant, and luxurious white-floral masculine scent with a smooth woody base. It’s versatile, refined, and effortlessly class, great if you want to smell polished without being loud. It is so easy to wear, and fits any occasion. I prefer to wear it on nights out or on long flights because of its lasting power. I paid $135 USD on VenbaFragrances.

Performance isn't the best. Projection isn't very strong, powdery notes may get tiring at some point, scent isn't worth the price. That being said if you have the money, I say get it. Though it's not blind buy safe. DO NOT buy this expecting compliments. This cologne isn't one you buy if you're looking for them. One of my better spring/summer scents. 7.3/10

This is EASILY the best blind buy I’ve ever done. What an absolutely delicious juice — fresh but with character. I can’t consider myself an expert in perfumes although I have a collection of 15 perfumes (mostly niche), but this is so good, so well crafted, rounded and opulent on its own. Wayyy ahead of its time when this was created 20 years ago.

I bought a 2ml decant and as much as I want a bigger bottle, I don't think I will spent retail on the full size bottle. First day wearing it, it's been a few hours, it's intoxicating, scent bubble is amazing. Works well on my skin. I like all kinds of cologne. This is incredible. I love CK obsession for men, this is less powdery and more floral.

A scent worthy of being called a wedding signature scent. Its smooth, creamy, floral, reminiscence of true class. if you want to feel like being called, 'Your the man' then this is it !!! If I wear a suite, I only pick out of MFK Gentle Silver Fluidity, Creed Aventus, Absolut, Amouage Reflection and Reflection 45. Maybe MFK Grand Soir.

Perfect blend of crisp white florals, buttery and powdery orris, and the smoothest sandalwood I’ve ever smelled. Supreme gentleman smell (not talking about you ER). Wear this when you meet her dad. If DHI is the perfect 5-piece suit scent for a nighttime wedding, this is the perfect 5-piece suit scent for a daytime one. 10/10

Having done the complete test of Amouage at Selfridges, this was my extreme preferred scent. Had to get it and by far this is outstanding as a day time scent, so fresh and classy, lasting at least 7 hours on skin, giving good projection. This now has to be my signature scent and will be my go to for the summer. Superb scent.

The best perfume I own in my collection — sweet and floral but not cloying, somewhat herbaceous but not too earthy, woody but not too resinous. Sophisticated but not overly intellectual. Goes well with a t shirt in the day or a jacket at night. I have been giving some of my staples a miss now in favour of Reflection Man.
