Reflection Woman

Amouage Reflection Recently, I took a young artist to his first figure drawing salon. He’s extremely talented, but has had to repress his talent because his father doesn’t approve. As the models arranged themselves into poses, my kid took out his sketchbook and pen, and began. With each new pose, I watched him go slowly into a state of bliss, an altered consciousness, a state of rapture. The same thing happens to me when I dance and when I meditate; for my mother, its flowers; for my best friend, music; for others, food. For me, the ecstasy ripples out, like a water lily opening in the moonlight, unfolding, opening, allowing, growing, and being. Like standing in perfect stillness in the moonlight, being enveloped by the light of the full moon, feeling a sense of awe, a sense of oneness, and immersed in beauty. Until now, I hadn’t realized that a perfume could take me there, but Reflection has. In a moment, I was watching the ripples of water on the pond at Giverny at dusk. I saw the water rippling through the waterlilies and I watched them open up to the moonlight, and the breeze, opening up for me to capture their essence and breathe in their perfect beauty. This scent took me deep, deep within the depths of that flowered water, deep within myself, while at the same time remaining fully conscious. To say that I have fallen in love with this fragrance is an understatement. This fragrance took me to the deepest depths of stillness on a quiet, reflective, moonlit path through the heart of a flower. Simply stunning.

Lady White Flowers. Reflection Woman (RW) is arguably Amouage's best feminine offering. Green, cool, wet, velvety notes combine with a feminine bouquet of white flowers; beautiful, youthful jasmine; lively freesia; and fresh magnolia. Green, wet, white floral, lightly-spicy, soft, velvety. RW is absolutely gorgeous! One of the best niche white florals. Despite being a white floral, it has a heavy scent, which also gives it that smooth and soft velvety character. It almost feels oily. Almost. The combination of green notes and white florals is so well done, RW smells like raindrop-laden jasmine petals. Like a cool morning walk in a white flowers garden, where the flowers are still wet with morning dew drops. RW is mature. This is the most mature white floral I've smelled that didn't give me "old school" feel. It is mature in a redefined, royal way. RW is magical spell, especially on mature women. It adds a serious yet friendly character to the wearer. It emits "I'm mature but I am warmly-fun". You know how some women have a warmly beautiful motherly face? RW gives you a similar feeling. Like every woman who has that face deserves a bottle of RW. Neutral weather wear. Excellent performance. "Love"

I DO NOT GET WHY IT IS HATED OR DISLIKED SOLELY FOR IT SMELLING TO THEM NOT AS COMPLEX LIKE WHAT!!! It is discontinued! Even with higher prices i can't find the whole bottle anywhere! Oh my gawd, this is the most beautiful blend of magnolia, jasmine, water violet, green notes and melons! I can't find any dupe of it anywhere. I feel like something so close to my heart is being ripped away from me! This is an everyday scent but soooo gorgeous, i feel like i will never like any other fragrance as much as this. This got me falling for melons, cucumbers and violet leaf, magnolia all at once. I'll cry, this is such a simple yet calming scent out of all of my collection and it doesn't hurt the nose specially for me who has a bad immune system and get's sick often, this never smelt painful like others even when i was actively sick! It smells like you are standing on the side of a pond, where the water is clear, their are water lillies everywhere but not over crowded, the sky is the best blue it ever can hold, springtime, there are flamingos around!

I just have to review this one again as it's one of those rare perfumes that I think I will always own / repurchase. It's just celestial, easily one of my top 3 of all time. And I discover something new in it all the time. The second bottle I own now is from Oman and I swear the perfumes straight from oman are on another level. It's reflection 100% but somehow the heart of it is such a soft, radiant sandalwood, mixing with the dewy greens and florals, It's so natural and fresh, but warm and alluring at the same time. I just adore it one best amouage hands down. Might be the same juice btw but sometimes skin chemistry changes, I felt the initial bottle I had (not sure where that one was made but not oman) seemed more fresh and green whereas this one is fresh and green but also warm and creamy somehow. Just amazing. Ok that was my love letter to reflection amouage. :)

This perfume and these reviews are a good reason to be very cautious when blind buying a perfume based on its fragrantica entry. Reflection is an aquatic floral fragrance with woody undertone. How can this be you ask, air & wood together? Because it is made of finest oils. Magnolia is blooming, water violet just began to sprout and jasmine is somewhere afar. Amber&Cedar are there as well. Across the pond. You get whiffs of them but can't really see them. The expensive-ness of this airy concoction is palpable because underneath it all you can sense the Orient. If you've ever been in Spain, waiting to board a ferry to Morocco, this is it........ There are no fruits in Reflection. Not one. Whoever says it resembles little green apple perfume probably got a fake sample of Reflection. There is no artificial apple, melon, citrus or lipstick bubble gum in this perfume.

This is very appropriately named...the opening smells wet, like flowers and greenery surrounding a clear pond you would come upon in the middle of nowhere after a cool rain. I can actually picture the reflection of the surrounding flowers and greenery in the water in my mind when I first spray it. But for me, the party sort of ends there. For starters, you must like freesia to enjoy this because there is a very heavy dose of it in the opening. The floral notes combine to create a sharp lily of the valley type scent which is not for everyone. It softens up a bit later with the magnolia coming through a little more but this is definitely a strong white floral so those sensitive should take precaution. I happen to be one of those people and this immediately gave me a stuffy nose.

If you’re scared of the house of Amouage but want to try one, go get this one. Reflection Woman is beautiful and easy to wear. It opens up with watery jasmine; I can’t pinpoint the other notes, but I get some light florals and some greenness; well-blending into one scent. It is feminine and bright and I feel pretty wearing this. The jasmine is not indolic, it doesn’t weight down, the scent is just floating. This perfume isn’t complicated and pretty much every notes stay until the end of wear but it’s fragrant and the longevity is great, as expected from this house. I got this on discount and I’m already worrying where to purchase the new one with great price. I’ll have it in my collection forever.

This was actually my first niche fragrance. I have special place for fragrances that make me feel and smell fresh and clean, as this one does. As soon as I put my nose to this I am transported to an elven garden from Lord of The Rings (sorry - I am a movie buff). The first rays of sunlight sparkle on a garden of white flowers. The morning is still cool and fresh. Jasmine and freesia flowers rustle in the slightest breeze, tender and covered in light drops of dew. A stream runs from a little waterfall through the garden, the water is crystal clear. A small metallic bowl sits filled with the cold water waiting for you to drink. I love it when a fragrance transports you somewhere beautiful.

Delightful. As refreshing as coming across a crystal clear waterfall complete with that crisp and refreshing mist. The moisture is heavy in this scent but it is clean - never soapy and never stagnant. There is an airy, sweet soft floral effect and a breezy stemmy greeness that doesn’t overpower. No calone to my nose thank goodness. That note usually makes me feel nauseous and really annoyed. Nothing else smells like this. Perhaps a hair in the direction of her much sweeter sibling Love Mimosa. Kelly green with white, silver, yellow and purple flashes swirl in my mind when I wear this scent. All is new and fresh. Anything is possible.

If you want a sophisticated and elegant women’s freshie that smells like a garden full of white flowers and violets after the rain then look no further. This fragrance has really grown on me. It’s super green and fresh, watery, and slightly powdery and also quite woody. It has a sharpness to it that lasts the entirety of the development. And to me it remains quite linear, not changing or developing too far from its original very green top notes. I feel like it’s green enough to be a unisex scent. It’s a refreshing out of the shower aroma that lasts almost all day on me if I spray my clothes! An underrated Amouage gem 💎

I bought a sample of Reflection Woman from scent split and I could not stop thinking about it for weeks. Reflection is freesia drenched in crisp, clean, dewy flowing water. This perfume is not of this world, since there is nowhere in this dimension that is this clean and pure. Very full bottle worthy. If you are into 90's aquatic florals this is the final form of that genre. The evolution chart is thus: BBW Cucumber Melon ----> Guerlain Flora Salvaggia ------------> Amouage Reflection Woman. If you're looking for another high quality aquatic scent with less flowers, try Frederic Malle's En Passant.

I can see why Reflection hasn't gained as much popularity as other more complex and powerful Amouage scents. However I still believe it shouldn't be dissed for being different. It opens up as very realistic gentle spring florals - primarily magnolias and freesias but when I smell it very close to my skin I can detect real violet! As if it was just picked whole from the forest floor with leaves and stems attached. The whole composition is very tender, youthful and understated...but unlike other sheer spring scents it stays on my skin for good 6 hours and has moderate projection.

One of the remarkable attributes of Reflection is its longevity. I get 4 hours before it fades to a skin scent and that's pretty good since I tend to absorb perfume. If this was simply a Summer green aquatic, with violets, magnolia and iris it might seem to be lacking originality, but I love the transition hours later to the sandalwood and cedar base. Starts off very green with cucumber, makes me think of linens drying in the sun. Reflection can be worn in the heat and still retain its presence without suffocating anyone nearby. This is a compliment getter from both sexes.

I would start with the fact that I am not a big fan of florals but two of my favourite flowers (freesia and magnolia) were involved so became a must try. I like the water-melony burst and the beginning which slowly turns into melony-magnolias and then ambery-magnolias. This frag is just beautiful, I just inhale and inhale all day. Any regrets testing it? Yes and no. It is a unique fragrance and I utterly adore it... where is the bitter part? I feel I should have not tried it because there is a part in me that wants it really bad.. Pricey, pricey, pricey.

Tbh I didn't like this when I opened it. Now after some time I find I crave exactly this . It has got lightness, wateriness, freshness . Perfect when you want easy perfume for summer. It has got cold vibe for sure. The silage is not great , it wears.closer to the body . Longetivity is decent for a fresh perfume. Somehow it reminds me the silver mountain water, perhaps not with the notes but the overall vibes it gives is very similar, this is more feminine though, imo Edit: Longetivity is very good and it would seem sillage is decent. Lot of compliments

As natural, cool, refreshing and beautiful as a glass of cold water. This is sure to bring reliev in the middle of the hottest summer, but I have that strange idea that it also might work in winter. Transparent, soft, exclusive, ladylike but still modern, an amazing perfume... Warms up nice, with a little fruity character, a little creaminess, so pretty and well done. It ́s aquatic without ever being bland or to fresh. Longlasting and oh, very nicely lingering too. Like a lotus flower floating in the morning fog in a beutiful pond. Must try!

haha... DKNY apple. They might be similar...from afar. But then many perfumes are similar from afar, aren't they? A good friend of mine has drawn my attention to this 'similarity' so I had to try it myself, did the side by side. Yes - in the first burst I see how they may be similar. When that dissipates, no. DKNY apple has a plasticky smell then, while Reflection woman just starts to bloom with its magnolia melon dewyness. Everyone to their own, for those who think they smell the same, go ahead, enjoy the DK ;) I won't be around to tell!

Spring in a bottle! It’s taken me a while to appreciate this one. Maybe someone of the freesia has settled down in my bottle. Either way, I like it more now. It’s very feminine, clean, green, and floral. Very expensive soap! In the dry down, although it isn’t specifically listened, I get a little vanilla. That must be from the amber. I bought it at a deep discount. In my opinion, the ratings suffer due to the retail price. I don’t think that’s fair, but I understand. It’s lovely. Would make a nice bridal scent.

Just heavenly! Clean, refreshing, magnificent opening notes. Light florals, slightly green, watery but not quite aquatic. Clean laundry feels but not like other scents which try to emulate clean laundry. The jasmine is there but as a complement and not as a star attraction. The base notes add depth but this doesn’t seem to dry down into just base notes - the fresh florals stick around for the ride. Stunning easy to wear composition with cool girl vibes. I want to douse myself in this! Signature scent worthy.

Ok, this was a blind buy, and I am happy it went well. I am a 90's/2000's girl, so I love this kind of fresh floral aquatics. If you are a fan, then this is a safe buy. It does not smell very unique, so if you have any thing similar in your collection you probably don't need this. But if you find this with a good price, then go for it. It is very nostalgic, exactly what I was looking for, the transition from green notes and freesia to magnolia is very nice. Better performance than most designer formulas

I love Reflection Woman by Amouage, and I feel very much that my experience of it is the same as that of the reviewer below: Milk&Belladonna. It is a beautiful, silvery flower garden, with all the gorgeous fragrances of many fresh and delicious and entrancing petals, with all the other lovely smells of a green and luscious garden, with a pond nearby. Moist, damp and yet sparkling with life. It's really splendid. And very long lasting and strong. It is a great perfume, and I love it dearly.

This is an exceptional perfume. I wish it was a little more masculine as I don't like reflection man. But then again, amouage fragrances are very famously known to be interchangeable between genders. This one is so green and ethereal, like walking in a dewy White flower garden, super fresh and clean. If the green facets were stronger than the floral I would have copped a full bottle 9/10 Edit: I got a full bottle for a really good deal couldn’t pass, will be wearing it a lot in the summer

I smelled this very distinctly yesterday in a crowded small bar in islington (colebrook 69 anyone wearing that last night there? Confirm my sniffing skills please :D) Anyway I knew I had to have this again. I already used up a bottle. It really stood out and lots of perfumes were floating around (including portrait of a lady on me and fleur de peu on my friend and those two are bombs too) Anyone in the UK looking to swap this please let me know!

I've smelled quite a few green scents, I like them, but this scent puts them all to shame. Side by side comparisons have proved, to me, that the quality of Reflection's green is superior to all others. Except SL Sa Majeste La Rose, but the sillage and longevity is inferior to Reflection. It's important to add that Reflection is not as strong as other fragrances by Amouage. I think I'd like to have the lotion and the solid compact of this scent!

Wow. I have a sample of this for quite awhile now and obviously I overlooked it. This is so beautiful. I am not that much into green scents, but lately, I was looking for something green, even herbal maybe, very simple, but very natural. And this could be it. I don't know what is up with the melon note, I don't get it. On me, it is very green and rainy and a bit white flowery. Alone time with the flowers. Beautiful.

I bought this to wear in Summer. First hit is very green and fresh, slight pepper. Then it softens into a floral that is not sickly, just sweet. The bottom notes are sexy and warm without being heady or heavy. I'm wearing it today for the first time and I am really happy with it. I am 50 and usually go for Oriental Florals and this is skirting around the perimeter of that but can't step in that circle.

If crystal had a smell, it would be Reflection by Amouage. Pristine, glassy, luminous, almost outwordly in an ethereal way. Excellent performance as I could smell it on my skin after 10-12 hours at work. Calm but intriguing, unassuming but powerful in a very airy way, I can't imagine being offensive to any nose. Perfect for summer, makes me feel fresh and energetic as well as sexy. Very well made.

Such a calm, pretty fragrance. If you like truly fresh, floral scents, you will thoroughly enjoy Reflection Woman. This fragrance is pretty and crisp. It is a light and beautiful everyday scent. This is one that you can wear to the office without offending your co-workers. Great longevity and arm's length sillage make this perfume ideal for day-to-day tasks and interactions.

I just bought the 50 ml bottle in kuweit airport for an incredible good price - 140$.The seeling girl insisted that is a good price for Amouage it looks like she was right. The perfume is great indeed, elegant, light, sheer and musky i would say. I would have liked more boldness to it thou. It has good longevity on my skin. Love it and cherish it, its an amouage after all!

I am not so fond of acquatics generally, but this one I like. Magnolia at its best. It is clean watery and with a shy presence that lasts the whole day on me actually. Soft and no sharpness, no sourness to me. I don't get much of the other notes other than in the top-phse, but that is all right, or even good actually. It makes it sort of tidy. Nice.

I'm usually not a floral fragrance person, but I love this one because the florals are balanced out by the fresh, green notes. Very feminine. Perfect for Spring. This smells so familiar to me...where have I smelled this before...I've got it! Rainkissed Leaves by Bath & Body Works, but Amouage is much higher quality of course.

First spray did not impress me. It's very light, almost aquatic. It conjures up a winter morning, crisp, grey and cold, so chilly I can see my breath. Reflection smells like that breath. About 15 minutes in, I start to detect a little warmth., perhaps the jasmine and sandalwood. It stays very light throughout.

This is a true love for me, intense, emotive, green, floral, watery almost, complex with a good woodsy base, very natural. Long lasting, everything a perfume should be. I have 100+ niche samples for swap within Europe - updated spreadsheet of samples on my profile, get in touch!

I'm a hard Amouage fan and i love Reflection, it is my go-to fragrance on really hot days. It is fresh, floral, and I don't know why the first few minutes always makes me think of a sweet fresh cut cucumber, longevity on me even in super warm days is outstanding. I love it!

Watery cucumber soap. Not a horrible smell but very light and fleeting for the extravagant price tag. Update: no, I was wrong, this is a wonderful perfume, just a bit subtle compared to many other opulent LOOK AT ME Amouages. I love this, it's more than meets the eye.

You should have warm weather for this to unfold all its petals, otherwise it does not smell other than a nice freesia floral. So try it when it is warmer and it will leave you gaping :)

Absolutely loved it, so green and leafy. I was looking for a mature version of Daisy and this is it, already finished up my sample, will go for a full bottle.

For me,reflection is a green,aquatic floral..not that typical aquatic fragrances,salty and watery, no,this is all about rain washed floral..imagine a cool spring day,sky is blue,bright and sunny but sun is pale and can't project much heat,there was a shower couple of hours ago and now flower petals are still wet,also their green leaves and woods.everything is fresh,pure and clean,you can inhale cool air in your lung and enjoy it's freshness..dominant florals are freesia,magnolia and violet,delicate and natural,their not sharp,heady or sweet..this is aura of natural flowers in a wet and green nature,nothing more,nothing less Green,aquatic florals are not my type but I like reflection,all of us need such a fragrance for hot days,it's name and the silver bottle suit it perfectly,though a glass bottle would be properbe the same rtoo I can't imagine an age group for it,a light floral with a green undertone and a watery edge,is suitable for all ages,it's not girly,happy and playful but it's calm and refreshing in a classy feminine way Reflection is the lightest Amouage scent I've tested till now,it's not an Arabic kind of scent,heavy and oriental Longevity is really good on me,sillage is not that much massive but it lefts a fresh floral trail behind you ❤❤❤ آمواج رفلکشن برای من یه عطر فلورال سبز،آکواتیک هست نه از آکواتیک های رایج، بیشتر منظورم فضای مرطوب عطر هست یه روز خنک بهاری رو تصور کنید،شب قبل بارون باریده اما الان آزمون کاملا آبی و آفتابی هست،،آفتاب کم جون اوایل بهار،همه جا رو کاملا روشن کرده اما ملایم تر از اونه ک بتونه هوا روبرو کنه،،گلبرگهای گلها هنوز خیس هست و رایحه همین گلبرگهای خیس مگنولیا و فریزیا و کمی هم بنفشه و یاس،همراه با عطر سبز برگهاشون و سبزی باغ و رایحه ملایمی از چوب،با وزش نسیم خنک بهاره به مشام میرسه..همه چیز، باطراوت و پاک و شفاف هست..آمواج رفلکشن مثل همون نسیم بهاری هست با خنکای ملایم و عطر لطیف گلها و گیاهان خیس که تو ریه هاتون فرو برده و ازش لذت میبردید نت های غالب،فریزیا، مگنولیا،و بنفشه هستن در بستری از روایح سبز،روایح گلی لطیف و طبیعی هستن،هیچ چیز تند،سنگین، شیرین و یا قوی و سرکش نیست.. عطرهای سبز،آکواتیک به هیچ وجه مورد علاقه من نیستن اما آمواج رفلکشن رو دوست دارم،همه ما احتیاج به یه همچین عطر خنک و لطیف گلی داریم بین آمواج های زنانه مختلف ک تابحال تست کردم،رفلکشن، ملایم تربنشون بوده و بهیچوجه حال و هوای عربی نداره،انتخاب نام و همچنین رنگ نقره ای شیشه عطر بنظر من خیلی پرمسماست،، رفلکشن مثل انعکاسی از طبیعت نقره فام و لطافت زنانی ست روی پوست من ماندگاری خوبی داره و پخش اون،هرچند چندان قوی نیست اما رد بوی محو و ملیحی از گلهای مرطوب و طبیعت سبز بهاره پشت سرتون ب جا میذاره بشخصه ب هیچ وجه نمیتونم محدوده سنی خاصی براش درنظر بگیرم،،باوجود اینکه عطر شاد و پرهیاهویی نیست و ملایم و آرومه، بااین حال ظرافت ملایمش اون رو مناسب سنین پایینتر هم میکنه

Kastehelmi has solved a puzzle for me - namely the peculiar fruity green notes in the top. They are in fact very melon-esque. Being in polite company, we won't dwell too much on the rather too realistic incontinence of said melon... As the perfume progresses it moves into an entirely new and unfamilar territory for me. The magnolia is the most prominent note here for me but other notes add a watery edge to it. If I didn't know better I would think a lotus flower was involved. Free-range jasminic indoles contribute a suprisingly refined and conservative depth here as well. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a 'light' floral, although I think I prefer the term 'delicate' because this perfume has real levity and robustness behind it. Reflection actually does reminds me of mirrored glass. Clear, shiny, silver, reflective. The delicacy of the perfume seems like it is being smelled as a reflection of something more real, and possibly threatening, like Plato's cave shadows. Unlike all Roucel's other work, appreciation of Reflection did not come easily to me. It has taken me a good three seperate testings to come to terms with the other-wordly beauty of this strange scent. I still find it unsettling but there is that compelling attraction which keeps bringing me back to learn more.

Amouage Reflection almost trembles it's so delicate. Reflection is the composition that does magnolia justice. It's floral perfection. The bar is set here with a challenge to other fragrance houses to remind us of just how exquisite magnolia can be in the hands of the right perfumer. It opens beside a clear spring at dawn. It's rained the night before and there's a single magnolia in bloom. It's, promising and floral fragile. On my skin, it remains exactly that way. It's translucent, limpid and yes, watery. The notes, however, are distinctive. They present with a crystalline clarity typical of fragrance notes with greater authority and command. The greens in Reflection are grassy, nature sweetened. They lack even the smallest amount of sharpness. The freesia is a supporting role only on my skin. The woods arrive late, which allow the feeling of magnolia frailty to remain. While not an aquatic, Reflection is more fine boned water nymph than the southern belle typically associated with magnolia. 'Natural', watered, undisturbed, flowing, willowy and feminine, wonderfully, beautifully feminine. The longevity, considerate. The projection, friendly. The magnolia, perfect.

Undoubtedly an aquatic freesia 🌊🌸 I usually can’t stand shampoo-y scents, but this one turned out to be an exception. A little cucumbery/melony.... It opens with watery freesia and a refreshing green brightness, soon joined by slightly indolic white florals; jasmine and ylang-ylang. As it develops, the sweetness grows and grows. It’s not syrupy, but rather a full-power floral sweetness: lush, creamy, almost pastel. The combination of freesia and that sweetness gives it the familiar shampoo softness that defines its character. It’s undeniably pretty and hard to dislike, yet it never quite grips me. Perhaps it’s the absence of grounding elements; nothing here anchors the fragrance; it just keeps floating. Like a bouquet of flowers tossed into the air; weightless, radiant, carefree. It’s cheerful, almost foolishly so.... the kind of innocent joy you can’t help but find endearing and mildly exasperating at once. Naïve enough to follow wherever the breeze takes her. I don’t dislike this one, but it is not a love. It smells like a lighter DKNY Be Delicious mixed with greens and cucumber melon. It’s a very fresh and clean smell. It has that signature Amouage misty quality when I smell it up close. Surprisingly the green note isn’t sharp or super bright. I want to say this smells common, but the longer I wear it the more elegant it smells. It honestly smells like Im sniffing my hands after just washing them with a scented liquid hand soap. It stays at that exact intensity too. So it’s not so strong, but also not too light. It reminds me of Junior High School when cucumber melon and sweet pea lotion and hand sanitizer was all the rage. I just don’t care too much for that generic cucumber melon note. Well, it’s more cucumber than melon the longer it sits on the skin. One would think with all this wateriness, cucumber and greens that this fragrance would feel spa like, but somehow it doesn’t hit the spot. It’s a nice fragrance. I would wear it if someone gifted it to me. I just wouldn’t buy a bottle for myself.

On first whiff I fell in love with the fragrance ! So clean, crisp , beautiful green florals . This is so well made , longevity outstanding and performance is great attributable to the Amouage House . I bought the sample box in my quest for the best floral scents and I was very disappointed ! Most of their fragrances incorporate spices , Oud and wood and I can’t handle that much projection. Borderline offensive but that’s because I’m a quiet , floral lover . However, this is my cup of tea. Very classy, pretty day scent for the office . I had to have a green floral bottle in my collection and this was it . I can understand to correlation to Donna Karan - Be Delicious. This was my signature scent in my younger years but I couldn’t get past the synthetic sweetness. Reflection is minus the apple, more like cucumber and nothing synthetic about this fragrance . Not sure about any powdery notes , I get none . For me it’s worthy of a bottle and bought one . Great magnetic bottle top .
